Abstract

Results indicate that the periphytic diatom community is mainly comprised of epipelic and episammic species when grown on glass slides over one seasonal cycle. Data reveal seasonal patterns of cell densities, chlorophyll production, photosynthetic oxygen evolution, and biomass accumulation.
