To investigate the effect of Mn and other metal dopants on the photoelectronic performance of CsPbCl3 perovskites, we conducted a series of theoretical analyses. Our findings showed that after Mn mono-doping, the CsPbCl3 lattice contracted and the bonding strength increased, resulting in a more compact structure of the metal octahedral cage. The relaxation of the metal octahedral cage, along with the Jahn–Teller effect, results in a decrease in lattice strain between the octahedra and a reduction in the energy of the entire lattice due to the deformation of the metal octahedron. These three factors work together to reduce intrinsic defects and enhance the stability and electronic properties of CsPbCl3 perovskites. The solubility of the Mn dopant is significantly increased when co-doped with Ni, Fe, and Co dopants, as it compensates for the lattice strain induced by Mn. Doping CsPbCl3 perovskites reduces the band gap due to the decreased contributions of 3d orbitals from the dopants. Our analyses have revealed that strengthening the CsPbCl3 lattice and reducing intrinsic defects can result in improved stability and PL properties. Moreover, increasing Mn solubility and decreasing the bandgap can enhance the PLQY of orange luminescence in CsPbCl3 perovskites. The new magnetic refrigeration (MR) technology, which uses the magnetocaloric effect (MCE) of materials for refrigeration, has shown apparent advantages over the compression refrigeration of freon and other gases. Therefore, how to obtain materials with excellent magnetic entropy change near room temperature is of great significance for the realization of MR. In order to achieve high Tc of a Gd-based amorphous alloy, Gd45Co50Al5 amorphous alloy with good room temperature MCE was selected, and a series of Gd45Co50−xFexAl5 (x = 2, 5, 10) amorphous alloys were prepared by adding Fe instead of Co. In this paper, the effect of Fe addition on the Curie temperature, and the magnetic entropy change in the alloys, were studied thoroughly. The results show that the Curie temperature is increased to 281 K by adding 5% Fe elements, which is mainly related to the enhanced 3d-3d interaction of transition elements caused by Fe addition, and the maximum value of magnetic entropy change is 3.24 J/(kg·K) under a field of 5 T. Conventional neural networks tend to fall into local extremum on large datasets, while the research on the strength of rubber concrete using intelligent algorithms to optimize artificial neural networks is limited. Therefore, to improve the prediction accuracy of rubber concrete strength, an artificial neural network model with hybrid algorithm optimization was developed in this study. The main strategy is to mix the simulated annealing (SA) algorithm with the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, using the SA algorithm to compensate for the weak global search capability of the PSO algorithm at a later stage while changing the inertia factor of the PSO algorithm to an adaptive state. For this purpose, data were first collected from the published literature to create a database. Next, ANN and PSO-ANN models are also built for comparison while four evaluation metrics, MSE, RMSE, MAE, and R 2 , were used to assess the model performance. Finally, compared with empirical formulations and other neural network models, the result shows that the proposed optimized artificial neural network model successfully improves the accuracy of predicting the strength of rubber concrete. A core-shell Cu-benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid (Cu-BTC)@TiO2 was successfully synthesized for photocatalysis-assisted adsorptive desulfurization to improve adsorptive desulfurization (ADS) performance. Under ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation, the TiO2 shell on the surface of Cu-BTC achieved photocatalytic oxidation of thiophenic S-compounds, and the Cu-BTC core adsorbed the oxidation products (sulfoxides and sulfones). The photocatalyst and adsorbent were combined using a distinct core-shell structure. The morphology and structure of the fabricated Cu-BTC@TiO2 microspheres were verified by scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, nitrogen adsorption-desorption and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses. A potential formation mechanism of Cu-BTC@TiO2 is proposed based on complementary experiments. The sulfur removal efficiency of the microspheres was evaluated by selective adsorption of benzothiophene (BT) and dibenzothiophene (DBT) from a model fuel with a sulfur concentration of 1000 ppmw. Within a reaction time of 20 min, the BT and DBT conversion reached 86% and 95%, respectively, and achieved ADS capacities of 63.76 and 59.39 mg/g, respectively. The BT conversion and DBT conversion obtained using Cu-BTC@TiO2 was 6.5 and 4.6 times higher, respectively, than that obtained using Cu-BTC. A desulfurization mechanism was proposed, the interaction between thiophenic sulfur compounds and Cu-BTC@TiO2 microspheres was discussed, and the kinetic behavior was analyzed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
