Researchers are often trying to find out the various renewable energy sources to continuously feed the growing energy demands Now a day’s researchers are much interested to carry out their investigation in the area of finding out the various eco friendly materials in order to completely or partially eliminate the usage of conventional of type of materials, as well as to avoid the environmental pollution. In this particular study, the six combinations (E-Glass/Banana fiber reinforcement) of interpenetrating polymer network laminate have been fabricated and their physical strengths were examined with help of the tensile, flexural, impact and moisture absorption test as per the ASTM standards. The results showed that, the neat E-Glass fiber reinforced IPN laminate exhibited the tensile physical strength value as 212.42 MPa, flexural strength of 3.2 kN, impact strength value of 4.62 J and finally water uptake percentage was 1.8%. Whereas the IPN laminate comprises of banana fiber and E-glass fiber hybridization has shown the (60 wt of E-Glass/40 wt of banana) tensile strength value as 179.53 MPa, flexural strength value of 2.12 kN, impact strength value of 4.12 J and moisture absorption percentage was 8.53%. All the test results were compared with each other and significant contribution of the hybridisation is presented in this study.

Smart device was developed to measure Intensity of Light and Temperature using LDR and LM35 IC Sensors. The principle is when light falls on the sensor, it changes the resistance of sensor changes which is then converted to change in voltage. The ADC pins on Bolt Wi-Fi Module convert this analog voltage level to digital values. LM35 is the sensors which senses the temperature of environment and based on its value it generate analog output voltage. This analog voltage by the LM35 is then given as input to Bolt A0 pin. The Bolt then converts the analog value to a 10 bit digital value that varies from 0 to 1023. This digital data is sent to the cloud through Bolt device.

This work explains analysis of wind mill turbine blade on glass fiber, nano TiO2 and AW106 epoxy composite. The performance of turbine has varied by changing the turbine blades material. In this study, explores possibility of nano composite for application in wind turbine blade. The hand lay-up technique has been adopted for adding nano-particles into AW 106 Epoxy/E-Glass fiber composite. Evaluation is made after the investigation of tensile and hardness test results. The microstructure details are characterized using scanning electron microscope, experimental outputs validated with ANSYS analysis.

Nowadays usage of automobiles is inevitable which leads to higher emission rate. In order to control the emission rate many researches are being carried out to find the alternative fuels by blending diesel with other natural oils. Jatropha oil is the permissible to be an automotive fuel for specifically designed engines or otherwise with suitable blending with gasoline can be used in the existing engine without engine modifications. this work contemplates the durability and corrosion test of a single cylinder diesel engine using the fuel blended with 20% jatropha oil and 80% diesel and it also emphasis the demonstration of the the lubricant qualities on engine performance. Notably, it details the experimental characteristics of B20 bio-fuels on the short run performance (life cycle endurance) of IC engine and there is no remarkable reduction in performance of the engine. However, it is significant to witness the dilution and contamination by bio- diesel thereby effect in detrimental lubricant properties, in this regarding experimental trails on abnormal observations such as wear, and lacquer-like carbon coating were made inside the engine inner components and its constructive characterization were also been witnessed. The viscosity and the contamination of the lubricating oil were also observed that the study reveals there is a significant carbon deposit in engine component after 100 h. The material presents increase with increasing of testing time. The PPM value of the iron is the highest reported among tested 8 elements. The contaminants PPM illustrate the sulphate level are quite high and contributing more than 40% followed by silicon, sodium and other oxidations. The experimental results confirm that the B20 can be used as an effective alternative for diesel oil-based CI engine.

Ethanol is one among the many available bio-fuel, which is made off natural fermentation of sugar or by products of petrochemicals is widely used as blend with fossil fuels in automotive and power generator engines. Ethanol is having energy of 21.2 MJ/L when compared to diesel and petrol 38.6 MJ/L and 45 MJ/L respectively. Ethanol contains 34% higher oxygen by weight and makes it as a low-cost oxygenator which in turn makes it as valuable player in fuel combustion and emission reduction. The present research work investigates durability and corrosion of a single cylinder compression ignition engine which uses ethanol blend with diesel in 20–80 ratio respectively and named as B20. It is mechanically durable for longer term when compare to the existing Diesel alone model. The present work also explored lubricant quality along with engine performance. A total of eight tests at 12.5 h of running per test at normal speed were carried out and the results showed engine performance remained at the same level for both blended and diesel only fuels, but lubricant was consequently diluted and contaminated due to the blending of Ethanol, these effects are measured in the form of components wear and carbon deposition after the end of experiment (100 Hrs. of test run). Viscosity and contamination tests are used for identifying the presence of carbon and other elements. The wear rate and presence of contamination were increased after each test run, Iron (Fe) presence in wear test showed an increase of 7% per test and sulphate (SO4-2) increased 8.7% per test in contamination. The investigation showed the effectiveness of B20 as a substitute for diesel and provides an interesting research space for refining itself.

As-cast Mg-9Li-3Al-xNd (x = 0-2.0 wt.%, with the variation of 0.5wt.%) magnesium alloys were prepared through casting in electrical induction melting furnace under a controlled inert gas atmosphere. Influences of Nd over the metallography changes and corrosion characteristics of Mg-9Li-3Al alloys have been examined by following techniques are OM, XRD, SEM and potentio-dynamic polarization (PDP) test. The results illustrate that adding Nd modifies the continuous β-Li phases into discontinuous phase by the formation of new precipitates such as Al2Nd and Al11Nd3. Meanwhile, the grain sizes of Mg-9Li-3Al-xNd alloys reduced with respect to the increasing Nd content. PDP results disclose that the Nd addition reduces the corrosion current density (icorr) of Mg-9Li-3Al alloys which can be essentially produced by grain refinemente.
