Intelligent transportation systems need to realize accurate traffic congestion prediction. The spatio-temporal features of traffic flow are essential to analyze and predict congestion. Our study proposes a data-driven model to predict the traffic congested flow. Firstly, the traffic zone/grid method is used to store the local area roads' average speed of the vehicles. Second, the discrete snapshot set is proposed to characterize traffic flow's spatial and temporal features over a continuous period. Third, the evolution of traffic congested flow in various time dimensions (weekly days, weekend days, and one week) is examined by transforming the global urban transportation network into traffic zones. Finally, the data-driven model is constructed to predict urban road traffic congestion by using the extracted spatio-temporal characteristics of traffic zones' traffic flow, the snapshot set of which serves as inputs for this model. The model adopts the convolutional LSTM network to learn the temporal and local spatial features of traffic flow, while utilizing a convolutional neural network to effectively capture the global spatial features inherent in traffic flow. The numerical experiments are conducted on two cities' transportation networks, and the results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed model outperforms traditional traffic flow prediction models. In the practical Continuous Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CVQKD) system, there is a large gap between the ideal theoretical model and the actual physical system. There are still some inevitable flaws, which give quantum hackers the opportunity to manipulate the channel in complex communication environments and launch Denial of Service attacks on the quantum channel. Therefore, a DoS attack-aware defense scheme for the CVQKD system based on convolutional neural networks (CNN) is proposed. The simulation results show that the proposed model can effectively detect DoS attacks launched by quantum hackers in CVQKD system in a complex communication environment, and the model has strong robustness due to the addition of the attention mechanism module. In addition, multiple sets of comparative experiments show that compared with the existing artificial neural network model, the CNN-based model has higher accuracy and stability. Mathematical methods are the basis of most models that describe the natural phenomena around us. However, the well-known conventional mathematical models for atmospheric modeling have some limitations. Machine learning with Big Data is also based on mathematics but offers a new approach for modeling. There are two methodologies to develop deep learning models for spatio-temporal image prediction. On these bases, two models were built—ConvLSTM and CNN-LSTM—with two types of predictions, i.e., sequence-to-sequence and sequence-to-one, in order to forecast Aerosol Optical Thickness sequences. The input dataset for training was NASA satellite imagery MODAL2_E_AER_OD from Terra/MODIS satellites, which presents global Aerosol Optical Thickness with an 8 day temporal resolution from 2000 to the present. The obtained results show that the ConvLSTM sequence-to-one model had the lowest RMSE error and the highest Cosine Similarity value. The advantages of the developed DL models are that they can be executed in milliseconds on a PC, can be used for global-scale Earth observations, and can serve as tracers to study how the Earth's atmosphere moves. The forecasting of tourist arrival depends on the accurate modeling of prevalent data patterns found in tourist arrival, especially for daily tourist arrival, where tourist arrival changes are more complex and highly nonlinear. In this paper, a new multiscale mode learning-based tourist arrival forecasting model is proposed to exploit different multiscale data features in tourist arrival movement. Two popular Mode Decomposition models (MD) and the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) model are introduced to model the multiscale data features in the tourist arrival data The data patterns at different scales are extracted using these two different MD models which dynamically decompose tourist arrival into the distinctive intrinsic mode function (IMF) data components. The convolutional neural network uses the deep network to further model the multiscale data structure of tourist arrivals, with the reduced dimensionality of key multiscale data features and finer modeling of nonlinearity in tourist arrival. Research on eye detection and segmentation is even more important with mask-wearing measures implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, it is necessary to build an eye image detection and segmentation dataset (EIMDSD), including labels for detecting and segmenting. In this study, we established a dataset to reduce elaboration for chipping eye images and denoting labels. An improved DeepLabv3+ network architecture (IDLN) was also proposed for applying it to the benchmark segmentation datasets. The IDLN was modified by cascading convolutional block attention modules (CBAM) with MobileNetV2. Experiments were carried out to verify the effectiveness of the EIMDSD dataset in human eye image detection and segmentation with different deep learning models. The result shows that the IDLN model achieves the appropriate segmentation accuracy for both eye images, while the UNet and ISANet models show the best results for the left eye data and the right eye data among the tested models. The existing index system for volatility forecasting only focuses on asset return series or historical volatility, and the prediction model cannot effectively describe the highly complex and nonlinear characteristics of the stock market. In this study, we construct an investor attention factor through a Baidu search index of antecedent keywords, and then combine other trading information such as the trading volume, trend indicator, quote change rate, etc., as input indicators, and finally employ the deep learning model via temporal convolutional networks (TCN) to forecast the volatility under high-frequency financial data. We found that the prediction accuracy of the TCN model with investor attention is better than those of the TCN model without investor attention, the traditional econometric model as the generalized autoregressive conditional heteroscedasticity (GARCH), the heterogeneous autoregressive model of realized volatility (HAR-RV), autoregressive fractionally integrated moving average (ARFIMA) models, and the long short-term memory (LSTM) model with investor attention. Compared with the traditional econometric models, the multi-step prediction results for the TCN model remain robust.
