Abstract

A method is examined for measuring amplitudes of vibration based on harmonic analysis of the output signal of a Michelson interferometer, with modulation of the frequency of radiation in the reference arm. The advantages of the method are explained and a specific example of its use is given.

Abstract

The requirements of GOST ISO 5347-1–96 for restricting the level of vibration sensor swinging during calibration are considered. It is demonstrated that that section of the standard must be made more stringent. The error of measurement of small vibration amplitudes (less than 0.2 μm) during measurements is estimated from a spectral analysis of an interferometer signal.
