Papers from the collection of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State Archives of Naples, relating to the stipulation of a Treaty of Commerce and Navigation between the Bourbon Kingdom of Naples and the Kingdom of Greece (1834-1860). Through the testimony of the Neapolitan consuls accredited in the new state, conspicuous details and information can be obtained, often first-hand, which turn out to be historical sources of extraordinary interest, even if ignored by historiography. This is precisely the case of a Directive issued in 1849 by the Greek Minister of the Navy intended to prevent the fishing of the Neapolitan windward lines in the inland seas of Greece.
