Summary: Children placements in educative living-in are determined by parenthood failures. Many recent works have pointed out several parameters in parenthood: psychoanalysis has shown real, symbolical and imaginary dimensions; developmental psychology has described successive steps; attachment theory has defined different caregiving kinds; and sociology has emphasized the role of social, economical and cultural contexts. In residential placement situation, children profit by daily educational action. One parenthood guidance setting seeks to mobilize parents about their parental functions. Parents are invited to participate to encounters on the very place where the child is living in. To bring out all the elements of plural parenthood, guidance is managed by a professional partnership: an educator, a social worker and a psychiatrist. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
