Abstract
The article reports on the plan of a House Committee in the U.S. to use half billion dollars through the export-import bank to aid South America. The measure reveals the tendency of the State Department to take over the direction of its economic policies as well as diplomatic and military ones. However, the plan seems not to fall with grace upon the ruffled spirits of Congressmen. Under the initiative, $500,000,000 is provided for Reconstruction Finance Corp. to provide loans to South America.
