Stabilization problem for a class of fractional-order nonlinear coupled systems on networks is addressed in the paper. By using Kirchhoff's matrix tree theory and comparison principle, a state feedback control law is presented to stabilize such systems. The controller design approach could be adapted to many classes of fractional-order delayed coupled systems in ecology, biology and engineering. The problem of designing a sliding-mode controller for a class of fractional-order uncertain linear perturbed systems with Caputo derivative is addressed in this paper. Sufficient conditions for the existence of sliding surfaces guaranteeing the asymptotic stability of the reduced-order sliding-mode dynamics are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities, based on which and stability theory of fractional-order nonlinear systems; the corresponding reaching motion controller is proposed, and the reaching time is also obtained. Moreover, the upper bounds of the nonlinear uncertainties are not required to be known in advance, which can be tuned by the designed adaptive law. Meanwhile, some problems for the sliding-mode controller for fractional-order systems in existing literatures are pointed out. This study investigates the problem of finite-time tracking control for a class of high-order nonlinear systems. Due to the existence of uncertain time-varying control coefficient and unknown nonlinear perturbations in the nonlinear dynamics, the existing finite-time control results cannot solve the finite-time tracking problem for this kind of nonlinear systems. Based on the technique of adding a power integrator a variable structure control method is proposed. Under the proposed control law, it is shown that the reference signal can be tracked in a finite time. As an application of the proposed theoretic results, the problem of finite-time attitude tracking control for the roll channel of bank-to-turn missile is solved. The asymptotic stability and stabilization problem of a class of fractional-order nonlinear systems with Caputo derivative are discussed in this paper. By using of Mittag-Leffler function, Laplace transform, and the generalized Gronwall inequality, a new sufficient condition ensuring local asymptotic stability and stabilization of a class of fractional-order nonlinear systems with fractional-order α:1< α<2 is proposed. Then a sufficient condition for the global asymptotic stability and stabilization of such system is presented firstly.
