Abstract: The article discusses collaboration between the Chicago Public Library, DOKK1 public library in Aarhus, Denmark, supported by the Gates Foundation, about design thinking. Topics discussed include design thinking process proposed in Herbert Simon's book "The Sciences of the Artificial", facilitator Dri Ralph who led the participating staff in an all-day session using the IDEO Toolkit developed for libraries as a guide and observation of the Brookwood Library patron behavior.
