The degenerate Stirling numbers of the second kind and of the first kind, which are, respectively, degenerate versions of the Stirling numbers of the second kind and of the first kind, appear frequently when we study various degenerate versions of some special numbers and polynomials. The aim of this article is to consider the r-truncated degenerate Stirling numbers of the second kind, which reduce to the degenerate Stirling numbers of the second for r = 1, and to investigate their explicit expressions, some properties and related identities, in connection with several other degenerate special numbers and polynomials.

In this paper, we consider the problem of representing any polynomial in terms of the degenerate Daehee polynomials and more generally of the higher-order degenerate Daehee polynomials. We derive explicit formulas with the help of umbral calculus and illustrate our results with some examples.

Hyperharmonic numbers were introduced by Conway and Guy (The Book of Numbers, Copernicus, New York, 1996), whereas harmonic numbers have been studied since antiquity. Recently, the degenerate hyperharmonic and degenerate harmonic numbers were introduced as their respective degenerate versions. The aim of this article is to further investigate some properties and identities involving the degenerate hyperharmonic numbers and degenerate harmonic numbers. Especially, we derive some identities by making use of the transfer formula for associated sequences from umbral calculus.

The aim of this paper is to study the Poisson random variables in relation to the Lah-Bell polynomials and the degenerate binomial and degenerate Poisson random variables in connection with the degenerate Lah-Bell polynomials. Among other things, we show that the rising factorial moments of the degenerate Poisson random variable with parameter α\alpha are given by the degenerate Lah-Bell polynomials evaluated at α\alpha . We also show that the probability-generating function of the degenerate Poisson random variable is equal to the generating function of the degenerate Lah-Bell polynomials. Also, we show similar results for the Poisson random variables. Here the nnth Lah-Bell number counts the number of ways a set of nn elements can be partitioned into non-empty linearly ordered subsets, the Lah-Bell polynomials are natural extensions of the Lah-Bell numbers and the degenerate Lah-Bell polynomials are degenerate versions of the Lah-Bell polynomials.

Type 2 poly-Bernoulli polynomials were introduced recently with the help of modified polyexponential functions. In this paper, we investigate several properties and identities associated with those polynomials arising from umbral calculus techniques. In particular, we express the type 2 poly-Bernoulli polynomials in terms of several special polynomials, like higher-order Cauchy polynomials, higher-order Euler polynomials, and higher-order Frobenius-Euler polynomials.

In 1859, Cayley introduced the ordered Bell numbers which have been used in many problems in number theory and enumerative combinatorics. The ordered Bell polynomials were defined as a natural companion to the ordered Bell numbers (also known as the preferred arrangement numbers). In this paper, we study Fourier series of functions related to higher-order ordered Bell polynomials and derive their Fourier series expansions. In addition, we express each of them in terms of Bernoulli functions.

In this paper, we introduce the new fully degenerate poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials and inverstigate some properties of these polynomials and numbers. From our properties, we derive some identities for the fully degenerate poly-Bernoulli numbers and polynomials.

In this paper, by considering higher-order degenerate Bernoulli and Euler polynomials which were introduced by Carlitz, we investigate some properties of mixed-type of those polynomials. In particular, we give some identities of mixed-type degenerate special polynomials which are derived from the fermionic integrals on Zp and the bosonic integrals on Zp.

Here we will derive formulas for expressing any polynomial as linear combinations of two kinds of higherorder Daehee polynomial basis. Then we will apply these formulas to certain polynomials in order to get new and interesting identities involving higher-order Daehee polynomials of the first kind and of the second kind.
