Abstract

Thesynthesis of dioxolane-functionalized hexacenes and heptacenesis reported. While heptacenes were too reactive to be successfullyisolated, hexacenes showed higher stability and characteristic long-wavelengthfluorescence both in solution and in the solid state as crystallinepowders.
