The XXIst International Congress of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing was held at the Beijing International Convention Centre, China, from 3rd to 11th July 2008. Reports are given on the Congress as a whole, including the General Assembly, some Technical Commission activities and the Congress Exhibition. The article reports on the participation of Great Britain on the Technical Commission V symposium during the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) convention in Beijing, China in July 2008. It notes that the country will host the event from 2008-2012. It states that the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and the Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry Society (RSPSoc) continue to sponsor the country's membership.
