$P_c(4312)$ observed by the LHCb collaboration is confirmed as a pentaquark and its structure, production, and decay behaviors attract great attention from theorists and experimentalists. Since its mass is very close to sum of $\Sigma_c$ and $\bar D$ masses, it is naturally tempted to be considered as a molecular state composed of $\Sigma_c$ and $\bar D$. Moreover, $P_c(4312)$ is observed in the channel with $J/\psi p$ final state, requiring that isospin conservation $P_c(4312)$ is an isospin-1/2 eigenstate. In literature, several groups used various models to estimate its spectrum. We systematically study the pentaquarks within the framework of the Bethe-Salpeter equation; thus $P_c(4312)$ is an excellent target because of the available data. We calculate the spectrum of $P_c(4312)$ in terms of the Bethe-Salpter equations and further study its decay modes. Some predictions on other possible pentaquark states that can be tested in future experiments are made.

A resonance-like structure as narrow as 10 MeV is observed in the ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ invariant mass distributions in ${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}_{c}^{+}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}p{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$ at Belle. Based on the large data sample of about 1.5 million events and the small bin width of just 1 MeV for the ${K}^{\ensuremath{-}}p$ invariant mass spectrum, the narrow peak is found precisely lying at the $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\ensuremath{\eta}$ threshold. While lacking evidence for a quark model state with such a narrow width at this mass region, we find that this narrow structure can be naturally identified as a threshold cusp but enhanced by the nearby triangle singularity via the $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\text{\ensuremath{-}}{a}_{0}(980{)}^{+}$ or $\ensuremath{\eta}\text{\ensuremath{-}}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}(1660{)}^{+}$ rescatterings.

We investigate the processes ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\phi}$, $\ensuremath{\gamma}J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\omega}$, and ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\eta}$ to search for the charmoniumlike states with hidden $s\overline{s}$, such as $Y(4140)$, $Y(4274)$, $X(4350)$, and $X(3915)$. These processes receive contributions from the charmed-strange meson rescatterings. When the center-of-mass energies of ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ scatterings are taken around the ${D}_{s0}(2317){D}_{s}^{*}$, ${D}_{s1}(2460){D}_{s}$, or ${D}_{s1}(2460){D}_{s}^{*}$ threshold, the anomalous triangle singularities can be present in the rescattering amplitudes, which implies a nonresonance explanation about the resonancelike structures. The positions of the anomalous triangle singularities are sensitive to the kinematics, which offers us a criterion to distinguish the kinematic singularities from genuine particles.

The decay ${Z}_{c}(3900{)}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ is searched for using data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring at center-of-mass energies $\sqrt{s}=4.23$ and 4.26 GeV. No significant signal for the ${Z}_{c}(3900{)}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ is found, and upper limits at the 90% confidence level on the Born cross section for the process ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{Z}_{c}(3900{)}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{\mp}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\omega}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ are determined to be 0.26 and 0.18 pb at $\sqrt{s}=4.23$ and 4.26 GeV, respectively.

We propose to study the pentaquark candidates of P-c(+) (4380) and P-c(+) (4450) in J/psi photoproduction and look for further experimental evidence for their nature. Since the photoproduction process does not satisfy the so-called "anomalous triangle singularity" condition their presence in J/psi photoproduction would conclude that they should be genuine states and provide further evidence for their existence.

Based on a sample of 1.31×109 J/ψ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, Dalitz plot analyses of selected 79,625 η→π+π-π0 events, 33,908 η→π0π0π0 events, and 1,888 η′→π0π0π0 events are performed. The measured matrix elements of η→π+π-π0 are in reasonable agreement with previous measurements. The Dalitz plot slope parameters of η→π0π0π0 and η′→π0π0π0 are determined to be -0.055±0.014±0.004 and -0.640±0.046±0.047, respectively, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Both values are consistent with previous measurements, while the precision of the latter one is improved by a factor of 3. Final state interactions are found to have an important role in those decays.

Using a sample of 1.31 x 10(9) J/psi events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, the decays J/psi -> phi pi(+)pi(-)pi(0) and J/psi -> phi pi(0)pi(0)pi(0) are investigated. The isospin- violating decay J/psi -> phi pi(0)f(0)(980) with f(0)(980)-> pi pi is observed for the first time. The width of the f(0)(980) obtained from the dipion mass spectrum is found to be much smaller than the world average value. In the pi(0)f(0)(980) mass spectrum, there is evidence of f(1)(1285) production. By studying the decay J/psi ->eta', the branching fractions of eta' -> pi(+)pi(-)pi(0) and eta' -> pi(0)pi(0)pi(0), as well as their ratio, are also measured.

We report the first observation of the Dalitz decay eta' -> gamma e(+)e(-), based on a data sample of 1.31 billion J/psi events collected with the BESIII detector. The eta' mesons are produced via the J/psi -> gamma eta' decay process. The ratio (eta' -> gamma e(+)e(-))/Gamma (eta' -> gamma gamma) is measured to be (2.13 +/- 0.09(stat) +/- 0.07(sys)) x 10(-2). This corresponds to a branching fraction B(eta' -> gamma e(+)e(-)) = (4.69 +/- 0.20(stat) +/- 0.23(sys)) x 10(-4). The transition form factor is extracted and different expressions are compared to the measured dependence on the e(+)e(-) invariant mass. The results are consistent with the prediction of the vector meson dominance model.

Using 2.92 fb(-1) of electron-positron annihilation data collected at root s = 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector, we report the results of a search for the flavor-changing neutral current process D-0 -> gamma gamma using a double-tag technique. We find no signal and set an upper limit at 90% confidence level for the branching fraction of B(D-0 -> gamma gamma pi(0)pi(0)) = (8.24 +/- 0.21(stat) +/- 0.30(syst)) x 10(-4), the most precise measurement to date and consistent with the current world average.

Using a data sample of 106 million ψ(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII storage ring, we study for the first time the decays χcJ→ϕKS0K±π∓ and χcJ→ϕK+K-π0 in the E1 radiative transition ψ(3686)→γχcJ. The decays are dominated by the three-body decay χcJ→ϕK*(892)K¯. We measure branching fractions for this reaction via the neutral and charged K*(892) and find them consistent with each other within the expectation of isospin symmetry. In the KK¯π invariant mass distribution, a structure near the K*(892)K¯ mass threshold is observed, and the corresponding mass and width are measured to be 1412±4(stat)±8(sys) MeV/c2 and Γ=84±12(stat)±40(sys) MeV, respectively. The observed state favors an assignment to the h1(1380), considering its possible JPC and comparing its mass, width and decay mode to those reported in the Particle Data Group.

Using data samples collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider at 17 center-of-mass energies from 3.810 to 4.600 GeV, we perform a study of e(+)e(-) -> eta J/psi and pi(0)J/psi The Born cross sections of these two processes are measured at each center-of-mass energy. The measured energy-dependent Born cross section for e(+)e(-) -> eta J/psi shows an enhancement around 4.2 GeV. The measurement is compatible with an earlier measurement by Belle.

Using data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we measure the Born cross section of e(+)e(-) -> p (p) over tilde at 12 center-of-mass energies from 2232.4 to 3671.0 MeV. The corresponding effective electromagnetic form factor of the proton is deduced under the assumption that the electric and magnetic form factors are equal (vertical bar G(E)vertical bar = vertical bar G(M)vertical bar). In addition, the ratio of electric to magnetic form factors, vertical bar G(E)/G(M)vertical bar, and vertical bar G(M)vertical bar are extracted by fitting the polar angle distribution of the proton for the data samples with larger statistics, namely at root s = 2232.4 and 2400.0 MeV and a combined sample at root s = 3050.0, 3060.0 and 3080.0 MeV, respectively. The measured cross sections are in agreement with recent results from BABAR, improving the overall uncertainty by about 30%. The vertical bar G(E)/G(M)vertical bar ratios are close to unity and consistent with BABAR results in the same q(2) region, which indicates the data are consistent with the assumption that vertical bar G(E)vertical bar = vertical bar G(M)vertical bar within uncertainties.

Using a sample of 1.31 billion J/psi events accumulated with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we report the observation of the decay J/psi -> phi pi(0), which is the first evidence for a doubly Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka suppressed electromagnetic J/psi decay. A clear structure is observed in the K+K- mass spectrum around 1.02 GeV/c(2), which can be attributed to interference between J/psi -> phi pi(0) and J/psi -> K+K- pi(0) decays. Due to this interference, two possible solutions are found. The corresponding measured values of the branching fraction of J/psi -> phi pi(0) are [2.94 +/- 0.16(stat) +/- 0.16(syst)] x 10(-6) and [1.24 +/- 0.33(stat) +/- 0.30(syst)] x 10(-7).

We report a measurement of the branching fraction for $\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1}$ and search for the transition $\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2}$ based on $2.92\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of ${e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ data accumulated at $\sqrt{s}=3.773\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{GeV}$ with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. We measure $\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1})=(2.48\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.15\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.23)\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1{0}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$, which is the most precise measurement to date. The upper limit on the branching fraction of $\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2}$ at a 90% confidence level is $\mathcal{B}(\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2})l0.64\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}1{0}^{\ensuremath{-}3}$. The corresponding partial widths are $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}(\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1})=(67.5\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}4.1\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}6.7)\text{ }\mathrm{keV}$ and $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}(\ensuremath{\psi}(3770)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2})l17.4\text{ }\mathrm{keV}$.

Using a sample of 1.06 x 10(8) psi(3686) events produced in e(+)e(-) collisions at root s = 3.686 GeV and collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we present studies of the decays psi(3686) -> K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c. and psi(3686) -> gamma K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c. We observe two hyperons, Xi(1690)(-) and Xi(1820)(-), in the K-Lambda invariant mass distribution in the decay psi(3686) -> K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c. with significances of 4.9 sigma and 6.2 sigma, respectively. The branching fractions of psi(3686) -> K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c., psi(3686) -> K-Sigma(0)(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c, psi(3686) -> gamma chi cJ -> gamma K-Lambda(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c (J = 0, 1, 2), and psi(3686) -> Xi(1690/1820)(-)(Xi) over bar (+) + c.c with sub-sequent decay Xi(1690/1820)(-) -> K-Lambda are measured for the first time.

Based on a sample of $2.25\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{8}J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ events taken with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we present the results of a study of the decay $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\eta}\ensuremath{\phi}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$. The $Y(2175)$ resonance is observed in the invariant mass spectrum of $\ensuremath{\phi}{f}_{0}(980)$ with a statistical significance of greater than $10\ensuremath{\sigma}$. The corresponding mass and width are determined to be $M=2200\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}6(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}5(\mathrm{syst})\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}/{c}^{2}$ and $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}=104\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}15(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}15(\mathrm{syst})\text{ }\text{ }\mathrm{MeV}$, respectively, and the product branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\eta}Y(2175),\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}Y(2175)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{f}_{0}(980),{f}_{0}(980)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}})=(1.20\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.14(\mathrm{stat})\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.37(\mathrm{syst}))\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}4}$. The results are consistent within errors with those of previous experiments. We also measure the branching fraction of $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}{f}_{1}(1285)$ with ${f}_{1}(1285)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\eta}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ and set upper limits on the branching fractions for $J/\ensuremath{\psi}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}\ensuremath{\eta}(1405)/\ensuremath{\phi}X(1835)/\ensuremath{\phi}X(1870)$ with $\ensuremath{\eta}(1405)/X(1835)/X(1870)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\eta}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ at the 90% confidence level.

WOS: 000349437800001, Using 482 pb(-1) of data taken at root s = 4.009 GeV, we measure the branching fractions of the decays of D*(0) into D-0 pi(0) and D-0 gamma to be B(D*(0) -> D-0 pi(0)) = (65.5 +/- 0.8 +/- 0.5)% and B(D*(0) -> D0 gamma) = (34.5 +/- 0.8 +/- 0.5)%, respectively, by assuming that the D*(0) decays only into these two modes. The ratio of the two branching fractions is B(D*(0) -> D-0 pi(0))/B(D*(0) -> D-0 gamma) = 1.90 +/- 0.07 +/- 0.05, which is independent of the assumption made above. The first uncertainties are statistical and the second ones systematic. The precision is improved by a factor of 3 compared to the present world average values., National Key Basic Research Program of China [2015CB856700]; Joint Funds of the National Natural Science Foundation of China [11079008, 11179007, U1232201, U1332201]; National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) [10935007, 11121092, 11125525, 11235011, 11322544, 11335008]; Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) Large-Scale Scientific Facility Program; CAS [KJCX2-YW-N29, KJCX2-YW-N45]; 100 Talents Program of CAS; INPAC and Shanghai Key Laboratory for Particle Physics and Cosmology; German Research Foundation DFG [Collaborative Research Center CRC-1044]; Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, Italy; Ministry of Development of Turkey [DPT2006 K-120470]; Russian Foundation for Basic Research [14-07-91152]; U.S. Department of Energy [DE-FG02-04ER41291, DE-FG02-05ER41374, DE-FG02-94ER40823, DESC0010118]; U.S. National Science Foundation; University of Groningen (RuG); Helmholtzzentrum fuer Schwerionenforschung GmbH (GSI), Darmstadt; WCU Program of National Research Foundation of Korea [R32-2008-000-10155-0], The BESIII Collaboration thanks the staff of BEPCII and the IHEP computing center for their strong support. Using data samples collected at center-of-mass energies root s = 4.23, 4.26, and 4.36 GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring, we search for the production of the charmoniumlike state Y(4140) through a radiative transition followed by its decay to phi J/psi. No significant signal is observed and upper limits on sigma[e(+)e(-) -> gamma Y(4140)] . B(Y(4140) -> phi J/psi at the 90% confidence level are estimated as 0.35, 0.28, and 0.33 pb at root s = 4.23, 4.26, and 4.36 GeV, respectively.

Using a sample of 2.25 x 10(8) J/psi events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the J/psi semileptonic weak decay J/psi -> D-s(-) e(+)nu(e) +c.c. with a much higher sensitivity than previous searches. We also perform the first search for J/psi -> D-s(*-) e(+) nu(e) + c.c. No significant excess of a signal above background is observed in either channel. At the 90% confidence level, the upper limits are determined to be B(J/psi -> D-s(-) e(+) nu(e) + c.c.) D-s*(-) e(+) nu(e) + c.c.) < 1.8 x 10(-6), respectively. Both are consistent with Standard Model predictions.

Using 1.06 x 10(8) psi(3686) events recorded in e(+)e(-) collisions at root s = 3.686 GeV with the BESIII at the BEPCII collider, we present searches for C-parity violation in J/psi -> gamma gamma and gamma phi decays via psi(3686) -> J/psi pi(+)pi(-). No significant signals are observed in either channel. Upper limits on the branching fractions are set to be B(J/psi -> gamma gamma) gamma phi) < 1.4 x 10(-6) at the 90% confidence level. The former is one order of magnitude more stringent than the previous upper limit, and the latter represents the first limit on this decay channel.

We investigate the ratio of the branching fractions of the molecular candidates decaying into the ground and radially excited states within the quark-interchange model. Our numerical results suggest that these molecular candidates are more likely to decay into the radially excited states than into ground states. In particular, the ratio $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}[{Z}_{c}(4430)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)]/\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Gamma}}[{Z}_{c}(4430)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\pi}J/\ensuremath{\psi}]\ensuremath{\sim}9.9$ is close to the experimental measurement, which supports the interpretation of ${Z}_{c}(4430)$ as the $\overline{D}{D}^{*}(2S)$ molecular state. The ratios of the branching fractions of ${Z}_{b}(10610)$ and ${Z}_{b}(10650)$ to $\ensuremath{\pi}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}(2S,3S)$ and $\ensuremath{\pi}\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Upsilon}}(1S)$ agrees very well with the Belle Collaboration's measurement. We also predict the similar ratios for ${Z}_{c}(3900)$, ${Z}_{c}(4020)$, ${R}_{{Z}_{c}(3900)}\ensuremath{\approx}1.4$, and ${R}_{{Z}_{c}(4020)}\ensuremath{\approx}4.8$. Hopefully, the $\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ mode and the ratios ${R}_{{Z}_{c}(3900)}$ and ${R}_{{Z}_{c}(4020)}$ will be measured by the BESIII and Belle collaborations in the near future, which shall be very helpful for understanding the underlying dynamics of these exotic states.

In this work, we have adopted the spin rearrangement scheme in the heavy quark limit and extensively investigated three classes of the radiative decays: $\mathfrak{M}\to (b\bar{b})+\gamma$, $(b\bar{b})\to \mathfrak{M}+\gamma$, $ \mathfrak{M} \to \mathfrak{M}^\prime+\gamma$, corresponding to the electromagnetic transitions between one molecular state and bottomonium, one bottomonium and molecular state, and two molecular states respectively. We also extend the same formalism to study the radiative decays of the molecular states with hidden charm. We have derived some model independent ratios when the initial or final states belong to the same spin flavor multiplet. Future experimental measurement of these ratios will test the molecular picture and explore the underlying structures of the $XYZ$ states., Comment: 21 pages, 10 tables Accepted by Phys.Rev.D

Motivated by the LHCb's recent confirmation of $Z_1(4475)$ as the $J^P=1^+$ resonance, we investigate various exotic interpretations of $Z_1(4475)$, which may be an axial vector tetraquark state, the P-wave excitation of the S-wave $D_1 {\bar D}^\ast$ or $D_2 {\bar D}^\ast$ molecule, the S-wave molecule composed of a $D$ or $D^*$ meson and a D-wave vector $D$ meson, or the cousin molecular state of $Z_c(3900)$ and $Z_c(4020)$ composed of a $D$ or $D^*$ meson and their radial excitations. With the help of the heavy quark symmetry, we predict the typical radiative and hidden-charm and open-charm strong decay patterns of $Z_1(4475)$, which are crucial to further identify the molecular state assignment of $Z_1(4475)$., 4 Pages, 1 Table. By assuming that $Y(4260)$ is a ${D}_{1}\overline{D}$ molecular state, we investigate some hidden-charm and charmed pair decay channels of $Y(4260)$ via intermediate ${D}_{1}\overline{D}$ meson loops with an effective Lagrangian approach. Through investigating the $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ dependence of branching ratios and ratios between different decay channels, we show that the intermediate ${D}_{1}\overline{D}$ meson loops are crucial for driving these transitions of $Y(4260)$ studied here. The coupled channel effects turn out to be more important in $Y(4260)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{D}^{*}{\overline{D}}^{*}$, which can be tested in future experiments.

By assuming that $Y(4260)$ either is a ${D}_{1}\overline{D}$ molecular state or has sizeable couplings with ${D}_{0}{\overline{D}}^{*}$ and ${D}_{1}^{\ensuremath{'}}\overline{D}$, we investigate several decay modes of $Y(4260)$. Under the special kinematic configurations, triangle singularity may occur in the rescattering amplitude, which will significantly change the threshold behavior. Obvious threshold enhancements or narrow cusp structures appear quite naturally without introducing a genuine resonance. We emphasize that the radiative decay modes may be useful for studying ${D}^{(*)}\overline{D}$ $S$-wave scattering.

We propose to study the open charm effects in e(+)e(-) -> J/psi eta, J/psi pi(0) and phi eta(c). We show that the exclusive cross section line shapes of these processes would be strongly affected by the open charm effects. Since the final state light meson productions are through soft gluon radiations, we assume a recognition of this soft process via charmed meson loops at the hadronic level. A unique feature among these three reactions is that the D (D) over bar* + c.c. open channel is located in a relatively isolated energy, i. e. similar to 3: 876 GeV, which is sufficiently far away from the known charmonia psi(3770) and psi(4040). Therefore, the cross section line shapes of these reactions may provide an opportunity for singling out the open charm effects with relatively well-defined charmonium contributions. In particular, we find that the reaction e(+)e(-) -> J/psi pi(0) is sensitive to the open charm D (D) over bar* + c.c. Because of the dominance of the isospin-0 component at the charmonium energy region, we predict an enhanced model-independent cusp effect between the thresholds of D-0(D) over bar*(0) + c.c. and D+(D) over bar*(-) + c.c. This study can also help us to understand the X(3900) enhancement recently observed by the Belle Collaboration in e(+)e(-) -> D (D) over bar + c.c.

The hadronic decays of ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c1}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}VV$ and ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c2}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}VP$ are supposed to be suppressed by the helicity selection rule in the perturbative QCD framework. With an effective Lagrangian method, we show that the intermediate charmed meson loops can provide a mechanism for the evasion of the helicity selection rule, and result in sizeable decay branching ratios in some of those channels. The theoretical predictions can be examined by the forthcoming BES-III data in the near future.

In the J/psi radiative decay channels J/psi -> gamma V (V) over bar, the result of partial wave analysis indicates that the V (V) over bar systems are predominately pseudoscalar component, and most of these channels have relatively large branching ratios at an order of 10(-3). Meanwhile, vector mesons, such as rho, omega, and K*, have strong couplings with nucleons and/or hyperons. This suggests a dynamical mechanism describing the eta p (p) over bar form factors for higher eta mesons, such as eta(1405/1475) and eta(1760). It is thus natural to expect that rescatterings of these vector meson pairs into p (p) over bar of 0(-) partial wave could be an important source contributing to J/psi -> gamma p (p) over bar of which the branching ratio is at the order of 10(-4). Our calculation justifies this point. In particular, we find that interferences between different rescattering amplitudes can produce a significant threshold enhancement in the invariant mass spectrum of p (p) over bar. Without introducing dramatic ingredients, our model provides a natural explanation for the peculiar threshold enhancement observed by BES-II in J/psi -> gamma p (p) over bar. Additional experimental constraints on the V (V) over bar -> p (p) over bar transitions are examined. This mechanism in J/psi -> omega p (p) over bar is also discussed.
