The article examines assumptions about new-covenant believer (NCB) interpersonal authority. It discusses the emphasis of Scripture on community and its lack of emphasis on NCB interpersonal authority. The conversation concerning women in ministry is explored. The implications for the body of Christ and the issue of women in church leadership are discussed.
