Nowadays older people are quite sport active and researchers more and more often analyze sports influence on ageing population. Because of this new trend a lot of articles related to this topic can be found. It is sometimes difficult to keep up with the novelties in the professional and scientific literature due to the vast number of professional and scientific magazines published worldwide. For this reason, we developed an information system to keep track of professional and scientific literature, authors, tests, multimedia materials etc. in the domain of sport. System was named as Sports Knowledge Base. Beside main system for all sports a special version for table tennis called Table Tennis Knowledge Base (TTKB) was also developed. The aim of this research project was to analyze students role and their cooperation in evolving of computer based Sport Knowledge Base. The data were processed on Faculty of Sport, Ljubljana, with statistical package SPSS for Windows. Basic statistical parameters (subprogram Frequencies) were calculated. Students opinion about their role and possibilities in the system is very positive because system is flexible, open and it allow them to actively cooperate in evolving of knowledge base. Using the TTKB program, table tennis scientists, coaches, PE students and others can regularly follow published table tennis and table tennis research work from all over the world. Today managers in any type of organisation often encounter difficult situations in which they find themselves quite isolated. They are responsible to their superiors for their actions, they are in charge of various programmes, obliged to respect the set agreements and to keep to deadlines, they are supposed to know how to manage, motivate and stimulate employees and as well as they have to be adaptable to changes inside or outside their organisations. Economic trends, growing market requirements, technology and a management philosophy oriented towards productivity increases and a faster lifestyle result in stress becoming a serious problem in all areas of life, including the workplace. Engaging in some form of sports is a great way to relieve stress. The aim of the study was to identify differences between men and women in terms of how frequently they engage in sport activity and to determine the participation of Slovenian managers in various sport activities. The aim of the study was to analyse the sports activity and lifestyle of secretaries in Slovenia. A questionnaire with 37 variables was completed by 104 secretaries from different places within Slovenia. We calculated the frequencies and contingency tables, whereas the statistical characteristics were determined on the basis of a 5% risk level. We established that for most of the time secretaries are sitting down, working with their fingers and are in forced positions. More than half periodically take painkillers; most of their pain occurs in the neck region of the back, the shoulder region and in the loins; other common problems include insomnia, emotional exhaustion and headache. The majority of secretaries do sporting activities on the weekend and 2 – 3 times weekly, they are mostly not organised – bicycling, sport walking, swimming and mountaineering. More than a quarter of all the respondents in our research participate in racquet sports. These figures show that racquet sports play the biggest role of any kind of sport included in our study. Secretaries who are active more often have a lower Body Mass Index, take painkillers less often or never, and believe that sport has a great impact on their health. The purpose of this research was to analyse the lifestyle and physical activity of people aged over 65 years and to find out if there is also an interest in table tennis and other racket sports. 1,313 people were surveyed with a questionnaire containing 31 variables from six regions in Slovenia. The data were processed with the SPSS statistical package; frequency and contingency tables were calculated. This research shows that the majority of people (71%) aged over 65 can walk for more than 15 minutes continuously, which should be good enough for normal living alone. More than 50% of the people in our sample are not physically active. Among the physically active people most of them walk (94.4%), do general physical exercises (30%), go to the nearest hills (16%) or do cycling (12.5%). Only 1.4% of elderly people exercise with table tennis and most of them only do so in a non-organised way at home or outside in their leisure time. The results also indicated people's preferences for a wider variety in table tennis, an increase in the level of challenge in table tennis exercises, and an increase in one's motivation for participating in table tennis activities if organised exercises were to be offered.
