The article focuses on nuclear medicine, the role of nuclear medicine technologists and several studies on pediatric nuclear medicine imaging. It discusses a case study, of 28 nuclear medicine technologists performing pediatric imaging, which analyzed perspectives on allowing parents in the imaging suite. 68 percent of the study respondents stated that policies were verbal indicating the need for written clear and concise policy to avoid misunderstanding of policy goals and requirements.
