Abstract

The article presents a study which describes the use of rapid prototyping (RP) and computer-aided design for the preoperative planning and fabrication of custom-made implants. It states that an RP machine fabricated the geometry of a custom made implant. It concludes that the stereolithography model proved to be an accurate tool for preoperative and surgical stimulation.
