A study conducted in France analyzed 1533 cases of drug overdose and drug abuse between 2010 and 2021. The study found that 12 patients died as a result of cardiorespiratory arrest or drug toxicity following suicide attempts or drug abuse involving fentanyl, sufentanil, or ocfentanil. Seven of the patients also died after receiving treatment with other drugs such as oxycodone, methadone, clomipramine, tramadol, or alcohol. Autopsies confirmed that all patients had toxic levels of fentanyl, sufentanil, or ocfentanil in their systems. The study highlights the dangers of drug abuse and overdose, particularly with these specific substances. [Extracted from the article]
