Abstract

This article discusses the dismantling of various governmental agencies devoted to the study of climate change by Brazilian President Jair Bolsonsaro. The author comments on the appointment of several government officials who are known climate change deniers. Despite these setbacks, the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication, the office that monitors climate change and greenhouse gas emissions, is still in operation.
