The article offers information on the predictions of cosmic microwave background radiation left-over from the Big Bang theory. Galaxies formed as small variations in matter density have developed due to the influence of gravity. In 1967, the first predictions of cosmic temperature fluctuations were made. And it was in 1992, that NASA's Cosmic Background Explorer verified the predicted the effect within two factors. However, in 1984 the ultimate prediction of temperature fluctuations resulted from structure formation was only three parts in 100,000 at an angular scale of about 30 arc minute. In 2003, the Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe satellite provided the first high-precision measurements.
