Danmakus are user-generated comments that overlay on videos, enabling real-time interactions between viewers and video content. The emotional orientation of danmakus can reflect the attitudes and opinions of viewers on video segments, which can help video platforms optimize video content recommendation and evaluate users' abnormal emotion levels. Aiming at the problems of low transferability of traditional sentiment analysis methods in the danmaku domain, low accuracy of danmaku text segmentation, poor consistency of sentiment annotation, and insufficient semantic feature extraction, this paper proposes a video danmaku sentiment analysis method based on MIBE-RoBERTa-FF-BiLSTM. This paper constructs a "Bilibili Must-Watch List and Top Video Danmaku Sentiment Dataset" by ourselves, covering 10,000 positive and negative sentiment danmaku texts of 18 themes. A new word recognition algorithm based on mutual information (MI) and branch entropy (BE) is used to discover 2610 irregular network popular new words from trigrams to heptagrams in the dataset, forming a domain lexicon. The Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory is applied to guide the consistent sentiment annotation. The domain lexicon is integrated into the feature fusion layer of the RoBERTa-FF-BiLSTM model to fully learn the semantic features of word information, character information, and context information of danmaku texts and perform sentiment classification. Comparative experiments on the dataset show that the model proposed in this paper has the best comprehensive performance among the mainstream models for video danmaku text sentiment classification, with an F1 value of 94.06%, and its accuracy and robustness are also better than other models. In industry, the task of defect classification and defect localization is an important part of defect detection system. However, existing studies only focus on one task and it is difficult to ensure the accuracy of both tasks. This paper proposes a defect detection system based on improved Yolo_v4, which greatly improves the detection ability of minor defects. For K_Means algorithm clustering prianchors question with strong subjectivity, the paper proposes the Density Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm to determine the number of Anchors. To solve the problem of low detection rate of small targets caused by insufficient reuse rate of low-level features in CSPDarknet53 feature extraction network, this paper proposes an ECA-DenseNet-BC-121 feature extraction network to improve it. And the Dual Channel Feature Enhancement (DCFE) module is proposed to improve the local information loss and gradient propagation obstruction caused by quad chain convolution in PANet networks to improve the robustness of the model. With the advancement of society, ensuring the safety of personnel involved in municipal construction projects, particularly in the context of pandemic control measures, has become a matter of utmost importance. This paper introduces a security measure for municipal engineering, combining deep learning with object detection technology. It proposes a lightweight artificial intelligence (AI) detection method capable of simultaneously identifying individuals wearing masks and safety helmets. The method primarily incorporates the ShuffleNetv2 feature extraction mechanism within the framework of the YOLOv5s network to reduce computational overhead. Additionally, it employs the ECA attention mechanism and optimized loss functions to generate feature maps with more comprehensive information, thereby enhancing the precision of target detection. Experimental results indicate that this algorithm improves the mean average precision (mAP) value by 4.3%. Furthermore, it reduces parameter and computational loads by 54.8% and 53.8%, respectively, effectively striking a balance between lightweight operation and precision. With the increasing number and types of global power loads and the development and popularization of smart grid technology, a large number of researches on load-level non-intrusive load monitoring technology have emerged. However, the unique power characteristics of the load make NILM face the difficult problem of low robustness of feature extraction and low accuracy of classification and identification in the recognition stage. This paper proposes a structured V-I mapping method to address the inherent limitations of traditional V-I trajectory mapping methods from a new perspective. The segmentation and extraction on color features can provide useful information for many different application domains. However, most of the existing image processing algorithms on feature extraction are gray image-based and consider only one-dimensional parameters. In order to carry out a fast and accurate color feature extraction, this paper proposes a color extraction algorithm by segmentation that is called a color extraction algorithm This algorithm is compared under different color distribution situations, and the extraction effect on color is also shown by the combination of the segmentation and feature extraction algorithms. Experimental results show that such segmentation algorithm has some advantages for color segmentation. In the fuzzy color image preprocessing, this paper gives the location method of region of interest. Moreover, compared with other existing extraction algorithms, the presented segmentation extraction algorithm in this paper not only has higher accuracy, shorter extraction time and stronger anti-interference ability, but also has better effect on more divergent color edge. The detection of pulmonary nodules has a low accuracy due to the various shapes and sizes of pulmonary nodules. In this paper, a multi-scale detection network for pulmonary nodules based on the attention mechanism is proposed to accurately predict pulmonary nodules. During data processing, the pseudo-color processing strategy is designed to enhance the gray image and introduce more contextual semantic information. In the feature extraction network section, this paper designs a basic module of ResSCBlock integrating attention mechanism for feature extraction. At the same time, the feature pyramid structure is used for feature fusion in the network, and the problem of the detection of small-size nodules which are easily lost is solved by multi-scale prediction method. In recent years, highway accidents occur frequently, the main reason is that there is always foreign body invasion on the highway, which makes people unable to respond to emergencies in time. In order to reduce the occurrence of highway incidents, an object detection algorithm for highway intrusion was proposed in this paper. YOLOv5 is one of the most popular object detection algorithms, which is divided into multiple series according to the control of network depth and width. To realize the deployment of mobile devices or embedded devices, the paper proposes a lightweight aerial image object detection algorithm (LAI-YOLOv5s) based on the improvement of YOLOv5s with a relatively small amount of calculation and parameter and relatively fast reasoning speed. Firstly, to better detect small objects, the paper replaces the minimum detection head with the maximum detection head and proposes a new feature fusion method, DFM-CPFN(Deep Feature Map Cross Path Fusion Network), to enrich the semantic information of deep features. Secondly, the paper designs a new module based on VoVNet to improve the feature extraction ability of the backbone network. Finally, based on the idea of ShuffleNetV2, the paper makes the network more lightweight without affecting detection accuracy. With a significant number of mechanical products approaching the retirement phase, the batch recycling of discarded mechanical parts necessitates a preliminary assessment of their surface condition. However, the presence of surface rust poses a challenge to defect identification. Therefore, this paper proposes a method for detecting heavily rusted surface defects based on an improved YOLOv8n network. In the Backbone, the C2f-DBB module of re-parameterized deep feature extraction was introduced, and the attention module was designed to improve the accuracy of information extraction. In the Neck part, a Bi-Afpn multiscale feature fusion strategy is designed to facilitate information exchange between features at different scales. In the realm of prognosticating the remaining useful life (RUL) of pivotal components, such as aircraft engines, a prevalent challenge persists where the available historical life data often proves insufficient. This insufficiency engenders obstacles such as impediments in performance degradation feature extraction, inadequacies in capturing temporal relationships comprehensively, and diminished predictive accuracy. To address this issue, a 1D CNN-GRU prediction model for few-shot conditions is proposed in this paper. In pursuit of more comprehensive data feature extraction and enhanced RUL prognostication precision, the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is selected for its capacity to discern high-dimensional features amid the intricate dynamics of the data. Concurrently, the Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) network is leveraged for its robust capability in extracting temporal features inherent within the data. We combine the two to construct a CNN-GRU hybrid network. Moreover, the integration of data distribution alongside correlation and monotonicity indices is employed to winnow the input of multi-sensor monitoring parameters into the CNN-GRU network. Finally, the engine RULs are predicted by the trained model. In this paper, experiments are conducted on a sub-dataset of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) C-MAPSS multi-constraint dataset to validate the effectiveness of the method. The intelligent appearance quality classification method for Auricularia auricula is of great significance to promote this industry. This paper proposes an appearance quality classification method for Auricularia auricula based on the improved Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks (improved Faster RCNN) framework. The original Faster RCNN is improved by establishing a multiscale feature fusion detection model to improve the accuracy and real-time performance of the model. The multiscale feature fusion detection model makes full use of shallow feature information to complete target detection. It fuses shallow features with rich detailed information with deep features rich in strong semantic information. Since the fusion algorithm directly uses the existing information of the feature extraction network, there is no additional calculation. The fused features contain more original detailed feature information. Therefore, the improved Faster RCNN can improve the final detection rate without sacrificing speed. By comparing with the original Faster RCNN model, the mean average precision (mAP) of the improved Faster RCNN is increased by 2.13%. The average precision (AP) of the first-level Auricularia auricula is almost unchanged at a high level. The AP of the second-level Auricularia auricula is increased by nearly 5%. And the third-level Auricularia auricula AP is increased by 1%. The improved Faster RCNN improves the frames per second from 6.81 of the original Faster RCNN to 13.5. The object scale of a small object scene changes greatly, and the object is easily disturbed by a complex background. Generic object detectors do not perform well on small object detection tasks. In this paper, we focus on small object detection based on FocusDet. FocusDet refers to the small object detector proposed in this paper. It consists of three parts: backbone, feature fusion structure, and detection head. STCF-EANet was used as the backbone for feature extraction, the Bottom Focus-PAN for feature fusion, and the detection head for object localization and recognition.To maintain sufficient global context information and extract multi-scale features, the STCF-EANet network backbone is used as the feature extraction network.PAN is a feature fusion module used in general object detectors. It is used to perform feature fusion on the extracted feature maps to supplement feature information.In the feature fusion network, FocusDet uses Bottom Focus-PAN to capture a wider range of locations and lower-level feature information of small objects.SIOU-SoftNMS is the proposed algorithm for removing redundant prediction boxes in the post-processing stage. Power quality disturbance (PQD) is an important problem affecting the safe and stable operation of power system. Traditional single modal methods not only have a large number of parameters, but also usually focus on only one type of feature, resulting in incomplete information about the extracted features, and it is difficult to identify complex and diverse PQD types in modern power systems. In this regard, this paper proposes a multi-modal parallel feature extraction and classification model. The model pays attention to both temporal and spatial features of PQD, which effectively improves classification accuracy. And a lightweight approach is adopted to reduce the number of parameters of the model. The model uses Long Short Term Memory Neural Network (LSTM) to extract the temporal features of one-dimensional temporal modes of PQD. At the same time, a lightweight residual network (LResNet) is designed to extract the spatial features of the two-dimensional image modality of PQD. Then, the two types of features are fused into multi-modal spatio-temporal features (MSTF). Finally, MSTF is input to a Support Vector Machine (SVM) for classification. Simulation results of 20 PQD signals show that the classification accuracy of the multi-modal model proposed in this paper reaches 99.94%, and the parameter quantity is only 0.08 MB. In the process of mining belt transportation, various foreign objects may appear, which will have a great impact on the crusher and belt, thus affecting production progress and causing serious safety accidents. Therefore, it is important to detect foreign objects in the early stages of intrusion in mining belt conveyor systems. To solve this problem, the YOLOv4_GECA method is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the GECA attention module is added to establish the YOLOv4_GECA foreign object detection model in the mineral belt to enhance the foreign object feature extraction capability. Secondly, based on this model, the learning rate decay of restart cosine annealing is used to improve the foreign object image detection performance of the model. Finally, we collected belt transport image information from the Pai Shan Lou gold mine site in Shenyang and established a belt foreign body detection dataset. The experimental results show that the average detection accuracy of the YOLOv4_GECA method proposed in this paper is 90.1%, the recall rate is 90.7%, and the average detection time is 30 ms, which meets the requirements for detection accuracy and real-time performance at the mine belt transportation site. Natural hazard named entity recognition is a technique used to recognize natural hazard entities from a large number of texts. The method of natural hazard named entity recognition can facilitate acquisition of natural hazards information and provide reference for natural hazard mitigation. The method of named entity recognition has many challenges, such as fast change, multiple types and various forms of named entities. This can introduce difficulties in research of natural hazard named entity recognition. To address the above problem, this paper constructed a natural disaster annotated corpus for training and evaluation model, and selected and compared several deep learning methods based on word vector features. A deep learning method for natural hazard named entity recognition can automatically mine text features and reduce the dependence on manual rules. This paper compares and analyzes the deep learning models from three aspects: pretraining, feature extraction and decoding. A natural hazard named entity recognition method based on deep learning is proposed, namely XLNet-BiLSTM-CRF model. Finally, the research hotspots of natural hazards papers in the past 10 years were obtained through this model. After training, the precision of the XLNet-BilSTM-CRF model is 92.80%, the recall rate is 91.74%, and the F1-score is 92.27%. Wearable sensors are widely used in medical applications and human–computer interaction because of their portability and powerful privacy. Human activity identification based on sensor data plays a vital role in these fields. Therefore, it is important to improve the recognition performance of different types of actions. Aiming at the problems of insufficient time-varying feature extraction and gradient explosion caused by too many network layers, a time convolution network recognition model with attention mechanism (TCN-Attention-HAR) was proposed. The model effectively recognizes and emphasizes the key feature information. The ability of extracting temporal features from TCN (temporal convolution network) is improved by using the appropriate size of the receiver domain. In addition, attention mechanisms are used to assign higher weights to important information, enabling models to learn and identify human activities more effectively. The performance of the Open Data Set (WISDM, PAMAP2 and USC-HAD) is improved by 1.13%, 1.83% and 0.51%, respectively, compared with other advanced models, these results clearly show that the network model presented in this paper has excellent recognition performance. In the knowledge distillation experiment, the parameters of student model are only about 0.1% of those of teacher model, and the accuracy of the model has been greatly improved, and in the WISDM data set, compared with the teacher's model, the accuracy is 0.14% higher. Pulse-coupled neural networks perform well in many fields such as information retrieval, depth estimation and object detection. Based on pulse coupled neural network (PCNN) theory, this paper constructs a visual perception model framework and builds a real image reproduction platform. The model firstly analyzes the structure and generalization ability of neural network multi-class classifier, uses the minimax criterion of feature space as the splitting criterion of visual perception decision node, which solves the generalization problem of neural network learning algorithm. In the simulation process, the initial threshold is optimized by the two-dimensional maximum inter-class variance method, and in order to improve the real-time performance of the algorithm, the fast recurrence formula of neural network is derived and given. The PCNN image segmentation method based on genetic algorithm is analyzed. The genetic algorithm improves the loop termination condition and the adaptive setting of model parameters of PCNN image segmentation algorithm, but the PCNN image segmentation algorithm still has the problem of complexity. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposed an IGA-PCNN image segmentation method combining the improved algorithm and PCNN model. Firstly, it used the improved immune genetic algorithm to adaptively obtain the optimal threshold, and then replaced the dynamic threshold in PCNN model with the optimal threshold, and finally used the pulse coupling characteristics of PCNN model to complete the image segmentation. From the coupling characteristics of PCNN, junction close space of image and gray level characteristics, it determined the local gray mean square error of image connection strength coefficient. The feature extraction and object segmentation properties of PCNN come from the spike frequency of neurons, and the number of neurons in PCNN is equal to the number of pixels in the input image. In addition, the spatial and gray value differences of pixels should be considered comprehensively to determine their connection matrix. Digital experiments show that the multi-scale multi-task pulse coupled neural network model can shorten the total training time by 17 h, improve the comprehensive accuracy of the task test data set by 1.04%, and shorten the detection time of each image by 4.8 s compared with the series network model of multiple single tasks. Ship noise analysis is a critical area of research in hydroacoustic remote sensing due to its practical implications in identifying ship direction, type, and even specific ship identities. However, the limited availability of data poses challenges in developing accurate ship noise classification models. Previous studies have mainly focused on small-sample learning approaches, resulting in complex network structures. Nonetheless, underwater robots often have limited computing power, making it essential to develop simpler recognition networks. In this paper, we address the issue of data scarcity by introducing positive incentive noise. We propose a CNN-based hydroacoustic signal recognition method that achieves comparable or superior performance to previous studies, using a simple network structure as a back-end decision system. We describe the feature extraction process using a dataset with added noise and compare the performance of various features. Additionally, we compare our proposed method with previous studies. Experimental results demonstrate that simple neural networks can achieve high performance and excellent generalizability without the need for complex network structures like adversarial learning models. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a major global health concern, affecting millions of individuals worldwide. While existing literature predominantly focuses on disease classification using clinical data, there exists a critical research gap concerning HCV genotyping based on genomic sequences. Accurate HCV genotyping is essential for patient management and treatment decisions. While the neural models excel at capturing complex patterns, they still face challenges, such as data scarcity, that exist a lot in computational genomics. To overcome this challenges, this paper introduces an advanced deep learning approach for HCV genotyping based on the graphical representation of nucleotide sequences that outperforms classical approaches. Notably, it is effective for both partial and complete HCV genomes and addresses challenges associated with imbalanced datasets. In this work, ten HCV genotypes: 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 2c, 3a, 3b, 4, 5, and 6 were used in the analysis. This study utilizes Chaos Game Representation for 2D mapping of genomic sequences, employing self-supervised learning using convolutional autoencoder for deep feature extraction, resulting in an outstanding performance for HCV genotyping compared to various machine learning and deep learning models. This baseline provides a benchmark against which the performance of the proposed approach and other models can be evaluated. The experimental results showcase a remarkable classification accuracy of over 99%, outperforming traditional deep learning models. This performance demonstrates the capability of the proposed model to accurately identify HCV genotypes in both partial and complete sequences and in dealing with data scarcity for certain genotypes. Historically, the analysis of stimulus-dependent time–frequency patterns has been the cornerstone of most electroencephalography (EEG) studies. The abnormal oscillations in high-frequency waves associated with psychotic disorders during sensory and cognitive tasks have been studied many times. However, any significant dissimilarity in the resting-state low-frequency bands is yet to be established. Spectral analysis of the alpha and delta band waves shows the effectiveness of stimulus-independent EEG in identifying the abnormal activity patterns of pathological brains. A generalized model incorporating multiple frequency bands should be more efficient in associating potential EEG biomarkers with first-episode psychosis (FEP), leading to an accurate diagnosis. We explore multiple machine-learning methods, including random-forest, support vector machine, and Gaussian process classifier (GPC), to demonstrate the practicality of resting-state power spectral density (PSD) to distinguish patients of FEP from healthy controls. A comprehensive discussion of our preprocessing methods for PSD analysis and a detailed comparison of different models are included in this paper. Blinding eye diseases are often related to changes in retinal structure, which can be detected by analysing retinal blood vessels in fundus images. However, existing techniques struggle to accurately segment these delicate vessels. Although deep learning has shown promise in medical image segmentation, its reliance on specific operations can limit its ability to capture crucial details such as the edges of the vessel. This paper introduces LMBiS-Net, a lightweight convolutional neural network designed for the segmentation of retinal vessels. LMBiS-Net achieves exceptional performance with a remarkably low number of learnable parameters (only 0.172 million). The network used multipath feature extraction blocks and incorporates bidirectional skip connections for the information flow between the encoder and decoder. In addition, we have optimised the efficiency of the model by carefully selecting the number of filters to avoid filter overlap. This optimisation significantly reduces training time and improves computational efficiency. To assess LMBiS-Net's robustness and ability to generalise to unseen data, we conducted comprehensive evaluations on four publicly available datasets: DRIVE, STARE, CHASE_DB1, and HRF The proposed LMBiS-Net achieves significant performance metrics in various datasets. It obtains sensitivity values of 83.60%, 84.37%, 86.05%, and 83.48%, specificity values of 98.83%, 98.77%, 98.96%, and 98.77%, accuracy (acc) scores of 97.08%, 97.69%, 97.75%, and 96.90%, and AUC values of 98.80%, 98.82%, 98.71%, and 88.77% on the DRIVE, STARE, CHEASE_DB, and HRF datasets, respectively. Generally, the recognition performance of lightweight models is often lower than that of large models. Knowledge distillation, by teaching a student model using a teacher model, can further enhance the recognition accuracy of lightweight models. In this paper, we approach knowledge distillation from the perspective of intermediate feature-level knowledge distillation. We combine a cross-stage feature fusion symmetric framework, an attention mechanism to enhance the fused features, and a contrastive loss function for teacher and student models at the same stage to comprehensively implement a multistage feature fusion knowledge distillation method. This approach addresses the problem of significant differences in the intermediate feature distributions between teacher and student models, making it difficult to effectively learn implicit knowledge and thus improving the recognition accuracy of the student model. Compared to existing knowledge distillation methods, our method performs at a superior level. On the CIFAR100 dataset, it boosts the recognition accuracy of ResNet20 from 69.06% to 71.34%, and on the TinyImagenet dataset, it increases the recognition accuracy of ResNet18 from 66.54% to 68.03%, demonstrating the effectiveness and generalizability of our approach. Tabular data analysis is a critical task in various domains, enabling us to uncover valuable insights from structured datasets. While traditional machine learning methods can be used for feature engineering and dimensionality reduction, they often struggle to capture the intricate relationships and dependencies within real-world datasets. In this paper, we present Multi-representation DeepInsight (MRep-DeepInsight), a novel extension of the DeepInsight method designed to enhance the analysis of tabular data. By generating multiple representations of samples using diverse feature extraction techniques, our approach is able to capture a broader range of features and reveal deeper insights. We demonstrate the effectiveness of MRep-DeepInsight on single-cell datasets, Alzheimer's data, and artificial data, showcasing an improved accuracy over the original DeepInsight approach and machine learning methods like random forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, FT-Transformer and L2-regularized logistic regression. In remote sensing image fusion, the conventional Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) extract local features of the image through layered convolution, which is limited by the receptive field and struggles to capture global features. Transformer utilizes self-attention to capture long-distance dependencies in images, which has a global receptive field, but the computational cost for high-resolution images is excessively high. In response to the above issues, this paper draws inspiration from the FusionNet network, harnessing the local detail acquisition capability of CNNs and the global data procuring capacity of Transformer. It presents a novel method for remote sensing image sharpening named Guided Filtering-Cross Stage Partial Network-Transformer, abbreviated as GF-CSTNet. This solution unifies the strengths of Guided Filtering (GF), Cross Stage Partial Network (CSPNet), and Transformer. Firstly, this method utilizes GF to enhance the acquired remote sensing image data. The CSPNet and Transformer structures are then combined to further enhance fusion performance by leveraging their respective advantages. Subsequently, a Rep-Conv2Former method is designed to streamline attention and extract diverse receptive field features through a multi-scale convolution modulator block. Simultaneously, a reparameterization module is constructed to integrate the multiple branches generated during training into a unified branch during inference, thereby optimizing the model's inference speed. Finally, a residual learning module incorporating attention has been devised to augment the modeling and feature extraction capabilities of images. Experimental results obtained from the GaoFen-2 and WorldView-3 datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed GF-CSTNet approach. Effective management of dementia requires the timely detection of mild cognitive impairment (MCI). This paper introduces a multi-objective optimization approach for selecting EEG channels (and features) for the purpose of detecting MCI. Firstly, each EEG signal from each channel is decomposed into subbands using either variational mode decomposition (VMD) or discrete wavelet transform (DWT). A feature is then extracted from each subband using one of the following measures: standard deviation, interquartile range, band power, Teager energy, Katz's and Higuchi's fractal dimensions, Shannon entropy, sure entropy, or threshold entropy. Different machine learning techniques are used to classify the features of MCI cases from those of healthy controls. The classifier's performance is validated using leave-one-subject-out (LOSO) cross-validation (CV). The non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA)-II is designed with the aim of minimizing the number of EEG channels (or features) and maximizing classification accuracy. The performance is evaluated using a publicly available online dataset containing EEGs from 19 channels recorded from 24 participants. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in performance when utilizing the NSGA-II algorithm. By selecting only a few appropriate EEG channels, the LOSO CV-based results show a significant improvement compared to using all 19 channels. Additionally, the outcomes indicate that accuracy can be further improved by selecting suitable features from different channels. For instance, by combining VMD and Teager energy, the SVM accuracy obtained using all channels is 74.24%. Interestingly, when only five channels are selected using NSGA-II, the accuracy increases to 91.56%. The accuracy is further improved to 95.28% when using only 8 features selected from 7 channels. This demonstrates that by choosing informative features or channels while excluding noisy or irrelevant information, the impact of noise is reduced, resulting in improved accuracy. In order to solve the difficult portability problem of traditional non-invasive sleeping posture recognition algorithms arising from the production cost and computational cost, this paper proposes a sleeping posture recognition model focusing on human body structural feature extraction and integration of feature space and algorithms based on a specific air-spring mattress structure, called SPR-DE (SPR-DE is the Sleep Posture Recognition-Data Ensemble acronym form). The model combines SMR (SMR stands for Principle of Spearman Maximal Relevance) with horizontal and vertical division based on the barometric pressure signals in the human body's backbone region to reconstruct the raw pressure data into strongly correlated non-image features of the sleep postures in different parts and directions and construct the feature set. Finally, the recognit-ion of the two sleep postures is accomplished using the AdaBoost-SVM integrated classifier. SPR-DE is compared with the base and integrated classifiers to verify its performance. The experimental results show that the amount of significant features helps the algorithm to classify different sleeping patterns more accurately, and the f1 score of the SPR-DE model determined by the comparison experiments is 0.998, and the accuracy can reach 99.9%. Compared with other models, the accuracy is improved by 2.9% ~ 7.7%, and the f1-score is improved by 0.029 ~ 0.076. YOLOv3 is a popular and effective object detection algorithm. However, YOLOv3 has a complex network, and floating point operations (FLOPs) and parameter sizes are large. Based on this, the paper designs a new YOLOv3 network and proposes a lightweight object detection algorithm. First, two excellent networks, the Cross Stage Partial Network (CSPNet) and GhostNet, are integrated to design a more efficient residual network, CSP-Ghost-Resnet. Second, combining CSPNet and Darknet53, this paper designs a new backbone network, the ML-Darknet, to realize the gradient diversion of the backbone network. Finally, we design a lightweight multiscale feature extraction network, the PAN-CSP-Network. The newly designed network is named mini and lightweight YOLOv3 (ML-YOLOv3). The detection precision of infrared seeker directly affects the guidance precision of infrared guidance system. To solve the problem of low target detection accuracy caused by the change of imaging scale, complex ground background and inconspicuous infrared target characteristics when infrared image seeker detects ground tank targets. In this paper, a You Only Look Once, Transform Head Squeeze-and-Excitation (YOLOv5s-THSE) model is proposed based on the YOLOv5s model. A multi-head attention mechanism is added to the backbone and neck of the network, and deeper target features are extracted using the multi-head attention mechanism. The Cross Stage Partial, Squeeze-and-Exclusion module is added to the neck of the network to suppress the complex background and make the model pay more attention to the target. A small object detection head is introduced into the head of the network, and the CIoU loss function is used in the model to improve the detection accuracy of small objects and obtain more stable training regression. Through these several improvement measures, the background of the infrared target is suppressed, and the detection ability of infrared tank targets is improved. In turbofan engine datasets, to address problems, such as noise interference, diverse data types, large data volumes, complex feature extraction, inability to effectively describe degradation trends, and poor remaining useful life (RUL) prognosis effects, a remaining useful life prognosis model combining an improved stack sparse autoencoder (imSSAE) and an improved echo state network (imESN) is proposed in this paper. First, the 3-sigma criterion is adopted to remove the noise and reconstruct the data, and then the deep features of the engine are extracted by using an imSSAE and fused into health indicator (HI) curves describing the engine degradation trend. Finally, an attention mechanism is introduced into an imESN to adaptively process different types of data and obtain the RUL. Medical image fusion aims to fuse multiple images from a single or multiple imaging modes to enhance their corresponding clinical applications in diagnosing and evaluating medical problems, a trend that has attracted increasing attention. However, most recent medical image fusion methods require prior knowledge, making it difficult to select image features. In this paper, we propose a novel deep medical image fusion method based on a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) for directly learning image features from original images. Specifically, source images are first decomposed by low rank representation to obtain the principal and salient components, respectively. Following that, the deep features are extracted from the decomposed principal components via DCNN and fused by a weighted-average rule. Then, considering the complementary between the salient components obtained by the low rank representation, a simple yet effective sum rule is designed to fuse the salient components. Finally, the fused result is obtained by reconstructing the principal and salient components. To improve the precision of defect categorization and localization in images, this paper proposes an approach for detecting surface defects in hot-rolled steel strips. The approach uses an improved YOLOv5 network model to overcome the issues of inadequate feature extraction capacity and suboptimal feature integration when identifying surface defects on steel strips. The proposed method achieves higher detection accuracy and localization precision, making it more competitive and applicable in real production. Firstly, the multi-scale feature fusion (MSF) strategy is utilized to fuse shallow and deep features effectively and enrich detailed information relevant to target defects. Secondly, the CSPLayer Res2Attention block (CRA block) residual module is introduced to reduce the loss of defect information during hierarchical transmission, thereby enhancing the extraction of fine-grained features and improving the perception of details and global features. Finally, the experimental results indicate that the mAP on the NEU-DET and GC10-DET datasets approaches 78.5% and 67.3%, respectively, which is 4.9% and 2.1% higher than that of the baseline. During the manufacturing process of printed circuit boards (PCBs), quality defects can occur, which can affect the performance and reliability of PCBs. Existing deep learning-based PCB defect detection methods are difficult to simultaneously achieve the goals of high detection accuracy, fast detection speed, and small number of parameters. Therefore, this paper proposes a PCB defect detection algorithm based on CDI-YOLO. Firstly, the coordinate attention mechanism (CA) is introduced to improve the backbone and neck network of YOLOv7-tiny, enhance the feature extraction capability of the model, and thus improve the accuracy of model detection. Secondly, DSConv is used to replace part of the common convolution in YOLOv7-tiny to achieve lower computing costs and faster detection speed. Finally, Inner-CIoU is used as the bounding box regression loss function of CDI-YOLO to speed up the bounding box regression process. The experimental results show that the method achieves 98.3% mAP on the PCB defect dataset, the detection speed is 128 frames per second (FPS), the parameters is 5.8 M, and the giga floating-point operations per second (GFLOPs) is 12.6 G. Polyp detection is a challenging task in the diagnosis of Colorectal Cancer (CRC), and it demands clinical expertise due to the diverse nature of polyps. The recent years have witnessed the development of automated polyp detection systems to assist the experts in early diagnosis, considerably reducing the time consumption and diagnostic errors. In automated CRC diagnosis, polyp segmentation is an important step which is carried out with deep learning segmentation models. Recently, Vision Transformers (ViT) are slowly replacing these models due to their ability to capture long range dependencies among image patches. However, the existing ViTs for polyp do not harness the inherent self-attention abilities and incorporate complex attention mechanisms. This paper presents Polyp-Vision Transformer (Polyp-ViT), a novel Transformer model based on the conventional Transformer architecture, which is enhanced with adaptive mechanisms for feature extraction and positional embedding. Polyp-ViT is tested on the Kvasir-seg and CVC-Clinic DB Datasets achieving segmentation accuracies of 0.9891 ± 0.01 and 0.9875 ± 0.71 respectively, outperforming state-of-the-art models. Low-rate distributed denial of service attacks, as known as LDDoS attacks, pose the notorious security risks in cloud computing network. They overload the cloud servers and degrade network service quality with the stealthy strategy. Furthermore, this kind of small ratio and pulse-like abnormal traffic leads to a serious data scale problem. As a result, the existing models for detecting minority and adversary LDDoS attacks are insufficient in both detection accuracy and time consumption. This paper proposes a novel multi-scale Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and bidirectional Long-short Term Memory (bi-LSTM) arbitration dense network model (called MSCBL-ADN) for learning and detecting LDDoS attack behaviors under the condition of limited dataset and time consumption. Gliomas are primary brain tumors caused by glial cells. These cancers' classification and grading are crucial for prognosis and treatment planning. Deep learning (DL) can potentially improve the digital pathology investigation of brain tumors. In this paper, we developed a technique for visualizing a predictive tumor grading model on histopathology pictures to help guide doctors by emphasizing characteristics and heterogeneity in forecasts. The proposed technique is a hybrid model based on YOLOv5 and ResNet50. The function of YOLOv5 is to localize and classify the tumor in large histopathological whole slide images (WSIs). The suggested technique incorporates ResNet into the feature extraction of the YOLOv5 framework, and the detection results show that our hybrid network is effective for identifying brain tumors from histopathological images. Next, we estimate the glioma grades using the extreme gradient boosting classifier. The high-dimensional characteristics and nonlinear interactions present in histopathology images are well-handled by this classifier. DL techniques have been used in previous computer-aided diagnosis systems for brain tumor diagnosis. However, by combining the YOLOv5 and ResNet50 architectures into a hybrid model specifically designed for accurate tumor localization and predictive grading within histopathological WSIs, our study presents a new approach that advances the field. By utilizing the advantages of both models, this creative integration goes beyond traditional techniques to produce improved tumor localization accuracy and thorough feature extraction. Additionally, our method ensures stable training dynamics and strong model performance by integrating ResNet50 into the YOLOv5 framework, addressing concerns about gradient explosion. The proposed technique is tested using the cancer genome atlas dataset. During the experiments, our model outperforms the other standard ways on the same dataset. Our results indicate that the proposed hybrid model substantially impacts tumor subtype discrimination between low-grade glioma (LGG) II and LGG III. With 97.2% of accuracy, 97.8% of precision, 98.6% of sensitivity, and the Dice similarity coefficient of 97%, the proposed model performs well in classifying four grades. Based on the problem of insufficient accuracy of the original tiny YOLOv3 algorithm for object detection in a lawn environment, an Optimized tiny YOLOv3 algorithm with less computation and higher accuracy is proposed. Three reasons affect the accuracy of the original tiny YOLOv3 algorithm for detecting objects in a lawn environment. First, the backbone of the original algorithm is composed of a stack of a single convolutional layer and a max-pooling layer, which results in insufficient ability to extract feature information of objects. An enhancement module is proposed to enhance the feature extraction capability of the shallow layers of the network. Second, the information of the shallow convolutional layers of the backbone is not fully used, which results in insufficient detection capability for small objects. Third, the deep part of the backbone uses a convolutional layer with an excessive number of channels, which results in a large amount of computation. A multi-resolution fusion module is proposed to enhance the information interaction capability of the deep and shallow layers of the network, and reduce the computation. To verify the accuracy of this Optimized tiny YOLOv3 algorithm, the algorithm was tested on the dataset containing trunk, spherical tree and person, and compared with the current research. Airport aircraft identification has essential application value in conflict early warning, anti-runway foreign body intrusion, remote command, etc. The scene video images have problems such as small aircraft targets and mutual occlusion due to the extended shooting distance. However, the detection model is generally complex in structure, and it is challenging to meet real-time detection in air traffic control. This paper proposes a real-time detection network of scene video aircraft-RPD (Realtime Planes Detection) to solve this problem. We construct the lightweight convolution backbone network RPDNet4 for feature extraction. We design a new core component CBL module(Conv (Convolution), BN (Batch Normalization), RELU (Rectified Linear Units)) to expand the range of receptive fields in the neural network. We design a lightweight channel adjustment module block by adding separable depth convolution to reduce the model's structural parameters. The loss function of GIou loss improves the convergence speed of network training. the paper designs the four-scale prediction module and the adjacent scale feature fusion technology to fuse the adjacent features of different abstract levels. Furthermore, a feature pyramid structure with low-level to high-level is constructed to improve the accuracy of airport aircraft's small target detection. The experimental results show that compared with YOLOv3, Faster-RCNN, and SSD models, the detection accuracy of the RPD model improved by 5.4%, 7.1%, and 23.6%; in terms of model parameters, the RPD model was reduced by 40.5%, 33.7%, and 80.2%; In terms of detection speed, YOLOv3 is 8.4 fps while RPD model reaches 13.6 fps which is 61.9% faster than YOLOv3. Cloud detection is an important step in remote sensing image processing and a prerequisite for subsequent analysis and interpretation of remote sensing images. Traditional cloud detection methods are difficult to accurately detect clouds and snow with very similar features such as color and texture. In this paper, the features of cloud and snow in remote sensing images are deeply extracted, and an accurate cloud and snow detection method is proposed based on the advantages of Unet3+ network in feature fusion. Firstly, color space conversion is performed on remote sensing images, RGB images and HIS images are used as input of Unet3+ network. Resnet 50 is used to replace the Unet3+ feature extraction network to extract remote sensing image features at a deeper level, and add the Convolutional Block Attention Module in Resnet50 to improve the network's attention to cloud and snow. Finally, the weighted cross entropy loss is constructed to solve the problem of unbalanced sample number caused by high proportion of background area in the image. Aerial image data are becoming more widely available, and analysis techniques based on supervised learning are advancing their use in a wide variety of remote sensing contexts. However, supervised learning requires training datasets which are not always available or easy to construct with aerial imagery. In this respect, unsupervised machine learning techniques present important advantages. This work presents a novel pipeline to demonstrate how available aerial imagery can be used to better the provision of services related to the built environment, using the case study of road traffic collisions (RTCs) across three cities in the UK. In this paper, we show how aerial imagery can be leveraged to extract latent features of the built environment from the purely visual representation of top-down images. With these latent image features in hand to represent the urban structure, this work then demonstrates how hazardous road segments can be clustered to provide a data-augmented aid for road safety experts to enhance their nuanced understanding of how and where different types of RTCs occur. The pooling layer in convolutional neural networks plays a crucial role in reducing spatial dimensions, and improving computational efficiency. However, standard pooling operations such as max pooling or average pooling are not suitable for all applications and data types. Therefore, developing custom pooling layers that can adaptively learn and extract relevant features from specific datasets is of great significance. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to design and implement customizable pooling layers to enhance feature extraction capabilities in CNNs. The proposed T-Max-Avg pooling layer incorporates a threshold parameter T, which selects the K highest interacting pixels as specified, allowing it to control whether the output features of the input data are based on the maximum values or weighted averages. By learning the optimal pooling strategy during training, our custom pooling layer can effectively capture and represent discriminative information in the input data, thereby improving classification performance. Experimental results show that the proposed T-Max-Avg pooling layer achieves good performance on three different datasets. Traffic time series anomaly detection has been intensively studied for years because of its potential applications in intelligent transportation. However, classical traffic anomaly detection methods often overlook the evolving dynamic associations between road network nodes, which leads to challenges in capturing the long-term temporal correlations, spatial characteristics, and abnormal node behaviors in datasets with high periodicity and trends, such as morning peak travel periods. In this paper, we propose a mirror temporal graph autoencoder (MTGAE) framework to explore anomalies and capture unseen nodes and the spatiotemporal correlation between nodes in the traffic network. Specifically, we propose the mirror temporal convolutional module to enhance feature extraction capabilities and capture hidden node-to-node features in the traffic network. Morever, we propose the graph convolutional gate recurrent unit cell (GCGRU CELL) module. This module uses Gaussian kernel functions to map data into a high-dimensional space, and enables the identification of anomalous information and potential anomalies within the complex interdependencies of the traffic network, based on prior knowledge and input data. We compared our work with several other advanced deep-learning anomaly detection models. Shot is one of the fundamental unit in the content structure of a film, which can provide insights into the film-director's ideas. By analyzing the properties and types of shots, we can gain a better understanding of a film's visual language. In this paper, we delve deeply into the task of shot type classification, proposing that utilizing multimodal video inputs can effectively improve the accuracy of the task, and that shot type classification is closely related to low-level spatiotemporal semantic features. To this end, we propose a Lightweight Weak Semantic Relevance Framework (LWSRNet) for classifying cinematographic shot types. Our framework comprises two modules: a Linear Modalities Fusion module (LMF Module) capable of fusing an arbitrary number of video modalities, and a Weak Semantic 3D-CNN based Feature Extraction Backbone (WSFE Module) for classifying shot movement and scale, respectively. Moreover, to support practical cinematographic analysis, we collect FullShots, a large film shot dataset containing 27K shots from 19 movies with professionally annotations for movement and scale information. Following experimental results validate the correctness of our proposed hypotheses, while our framework also outperforms previous methods in terms of accuracy with fewer parameters and computations, on both FullShots and MovieShots datasets. Fully convolutional neural network has shown advantages in the salient object detection by using the RGB or RGB-D images. However, there is an object-part dilemma since most fully convolutional neural network inevitably leads to an incomplete segmentation of the salient object. Although the capsule network is capable of recognizing a complete object, it is highly computational demand and time consuming. In this paper, we propose a novel convolutional capsule network based on feature extraction and integration for dealing with the object-part relationship, with less computation demand. First and foremost, RGB features are extracted and integrated by using the VGG backbone and feature extraction module. Then, these features, integrating with depth images by using feature depth module, are upsampled progressively to produce a feature map. In the next step, the feature map is fed into the feature-integrated convolutional capsule network to explore the object-part relationship. The proposed capsule network extracts object-part information by using convolutional capsules with locally-connected routing and predicts the final salient map based on the deconvolutional capsules. This paper presents a machine learning-based technique for interpreting bone scintigraphy images, focusing on feature extraction and introducing a new feature selection method called GJOW. GJOW enhances the effectiveness of the golden jackal optimization (GJO) algorithm by integrating operators from the whale optimization algorithm (WOA). The technique's performance is evaluated through extensive experiments using 18 benchmark datasets and 581 bone scan images obtained from a gamma camera, including 362 abnormal and 219 normal cases. The results highlight the superior predictive effectiveness of the GJOW algorithm in bone metastasis detection, achieving an accuracy of 71.79% and specificity of 91.14%. The contributions of this study include the introduction of a new machine learning-based approach for detecting bone metastasis using gamma camera scans, leading to improved accuracy in identifying bone metastases. Sentence-level sentiment analysis (SLSA) aims to identify the overall sentiment polarity conveyed in a given sentence. The state-of-the-art performance of SLSA has been achieved by deep learning models. However, depending on the i.i.d (independent and identically distributed) assumption, the performance of these deep learning models may fall short in real scenarios, where the distributions of training and target data are almost certainly different to some extent. In this paper, we propose a supervised solution based on the non-i.i.d paradigm of gradual machine learning (GML) for SLSA. It begins with some labeled observations, and gradually labels target instances in the order of increasing hardness by iterative knowledge conveyance. It leverages labeled samples for supervised deep feature extraction, and constructs a factor graph based on the extracted features to enable gradual knowledge conveyance. Specifically, it employs a polarity classifier to detect polarity similarity between close neighbors in an embedding space, and a separate binary semantic network to extract implicit polarity relations between arbitrary instances. Our extensive experiments on benchmark datasets show that the proposed approach achieves the state-of-the-art performance on all benchmark datasets. The novel fault diagnosis method of gearbox based on Fourier Bessel series expansion-based empirical wavelet transform (FBEWT) and manifold regularization extreme learning machine (MRELM) is proposed to obtain excellent fault diagnosis results of gearbox in this paper. A new feature extraction strategy based on Fourier Bessel series expansion-based empirical wavelet transform is used to capture the key non-stationary features of the vibrational signal of gearbox, and significantly improve the diagnosis ability of gearbox. The ELM with manifold regularization is proposed for fault diagnosis of gearbox. In order to outstand the superiority and stability of the proposed FBEWT and manifold regularization ELM, the balanced dataset and unbalanced dataset, respectively, are used. In this paper, we propose a solution to resolve the limitation of deep CNN models in real-time applications. The proposed approach uses multi-threshold binarization over the whole multi-spectral remote sensing image to extract the vector of discriminative features for classification. We compare the classification accuracy and the training time of the proposed approach with ResNet and Ensemble CNN models. The proposed approach shows a significant advantage in accuracy for small datasets, while keeping very close recall score to both deep CNN models for larger datasets. On the other hand, regardless of the dataset size, the proposed multi-threshold binarization provides approximately 5 times lower training and inference time than both ResNet and Ensemble CNN models. Based on the deep learning method, a network model that can quickly and accurately identify the species of Fritillaria cirrhosa species was constructed. The learning method based on deep residual convolutional neural network was used to input the unprocessed original image directly as input, and the features of the image were extracted through convolution and pooling operations. On this basis, the ResNet34 model was improved, and the additional fully connected layer was added in front of the Softmax classifier to improve the learning ability of the network model. Total of 3915 images of three kinds of Fritillaria cirrhosa were used as data sources for the experiments, among which 160 images of each type were randomly selected to form the validation set. The final training set recognition accuracy rate was 95.8%, the validation set accuracy rate reached 92.3%, and the test set accuracy rate was 88.7%. The image recognition method of Fritillaria cirrhosa based on deep learning proposed in this paper is effective and feasible, which can quickly and accurately identify the species of Fritillaria cirrhosa species, and provides a new idea for the intelligent recognition of Chinese medicinal materials.
