We propose a method, called bi-point input, for convolutional neural networks (CNNs) that handle variable-length input features (e.g., speech utterances). Feeding input features into a CNN in a mini-batch unit requires that all features in each mini-batch have the same shape. A set of variable-length features cannot be directly fed into a CNN because they commonly have different lengths. Feature segmentation is a dominant method for CNNs to handle variable-length features, where each feature is decomposed into fixed-length segments. A CNN receives one segment as an input at one time. However, a CNN can consider only the information of one segment at one time, not the entire feature. This drawback limits the amount of information available at one time and consequently results in suboptimal solutions. Our proposed method alleviates this problem by increasing the amount of information available at one time. With the proposed method, a CNN receives a pair of two segments obtained from a feature as an input at one time. Each of the two segments generally covers different time ranges and therefore has different information. We also propose various combination methods and provide a rough guidance to set a proper segment length without evaluation. We evaluate the proposed method on the spoofing detection tasks using the ASVspoof 2019 database under various conditions. The experimental results reveal that the proposed method reduces the relative equal error rate (EER) by approximately 17.2% and 43.8% on average for the logical access (LA) and physical access (PA) tasks, respectively. Spoofing attacks are threatening the global navigation satellite system (GNSS). The maximum likelihood estimation (MLE)-based positioning technique is a direct positioning method originally developed for multipath rejection and weak signal processing. We find this method also has a potential ability for GNSS anti-spoofing since a spoofing attack that misleads the positioning and timing result will cause distortion to the MLE cost function. Based on the method, an estimation-cancellation approach is presented to detect spoofing attacks and recover the navigation solution. A statistic is derived for spoofing detection with the principle of the generalized likelihood ratio test (GLRT). Then, the MLE cost function is decomposed to further validate whether the navigation solution obtained by MLE-based positioning is formed by consistent signals. Both formulae and simulations are provided to evaluate the anti-spoofing performance. Experiments with recordings in real GNSS spoofing scenarios are also performed to validate the practicability of the approach. Results show that the method works even when the code phase differences between the spoofing and authentic signals are much less than one code chip, which can improve the availability of GNSS service greatly under spoofing attacks. In this paper, the Extended Coupled Amplitude Delay Lock Loop (ECADLL) architecture, previously introduced as a solution able to deal with a multipath environment, is revisited and improved to tailor it to spoofing detection purposes. Exploiting a properly-defined decision algorithm, the architecture is able to effectively detect a spoofer attack, as well as distinguish it from other kinds of interference events. The new algorithm is used to classify them according to their characteristics. Spoofing attacks are one of the severest threats for global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs). This kind of attack can damage the navigation systems of unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) and other unmanned vehicles (UVs), which are highly dependent on GNSSs. A novel method for GNSS spoofing detection based on a coupled visual/inertial/GNSS positioning algorithm is proposed in this paper. Visual inertial odometry (VIO) has high accuracy for state estimation in the short term and is a good supplement for GNSSs. Coupled VIO/GNSS navigation systems are, unfortunately, also vulnerable when the GNSS is subject to spoofing attacks. The method proposed in this article involves monitoring the deviation between the VIO and GNSS under an optimization framework. A modified Chi-square test triggers the spoofing alarm when the detection factors become abnormal. After spoofing detection, the optimal estimation algorithm is modified to prevent it being deceived by the spoofed GNSS data and to enable it to carry on positioning. The performance of the proposed spoofing detection method is evaluated through a real-world visual/inertial/GNSS dataset and a real GNSS spoofing attack experiment. The presence of spoofing signals poses a significant threat to global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based positioning applications, as it could cause a malfunction of the positioning service. Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to present a spatial-temporal technique that enables GNSS receivers to reliably detect and suppress spoofing. The technique, which is based on antenna array, can be divided into two consecutive stages. In the first stage, an improved eigen space spectrum is constructed for direction of arrival (DOA) estimation. To this end, a signal preprocessing scheme is provided to solve the signal model mismatch in the DOA estimation for navigation signals. In the second stage, we design an optimization problem for power estimation with the estimated DOA as support information. After that, the spoofing detection is achieved by combining power comparison and cross-correlation monitoring. Finally, we enhance the genuine signals by beamforming while the subspace oblique projection is used to suppress spoofing. The proposed technique does not depend on external hardware and can be readily implemented on raw digital baseband signal before the despreading of GNSS receivers. Crucially, the low-power spoofing attack and multipath can be distinguished and mitigated by this technique. The estimated DOA and power are both beneficial for subsequent spoofing localization. The global positioning system (GPS) is an essential technology that provides positioning capabilities and is used in various applications such as navigation, surveying, mapping, robot simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), location-based service (LBS), etc. However, the GPS is known to be vulnerable to intentional attacks such as spoofing because of its simple signal structure. In this study, a direct method is proposed for GPS spoofing detection, using Attitude and Heading Reference System (AHRS) accelerometer and analyzing the detection performance with corresponding probability density functions (PDFs). The difference in the acceleration between the GPS receiver and the accelerometer is used to detect spoofing. The magnitude of the acceleration error may be used as a decision variable. Additionally, using the magnitude of the north (or east) component of the acceleration error as another decision variable is proposed, which shows better performance in some conditions. The performance of the two decision variables is compared by calculating the probability of spoofing detection and the detectable minimum spoofing acceleration (DMSA), given a pre-defined false alarm probability and a pre-defined detection probability. Jamming and spoofing are the two main types of intentional interference for global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receivers. Due to the entirely different signal characteristics they have, a few techniques can deal with them simultaneously. This paper proposes a two-stage interference suppression scheme based on antenna arrays, which can detect and mitigate jamming and spoofing before the despreading of GNSS receivers. First, a subspace projection was adopted to eliminate the high-power jamming signals. The output signal is still a multi-dimensional vector so that the spatial processing technique can be used in the next stage. Then, the cyclostationarity of GNSS signals were fully excavated to reduce or even remove the noise component in the spatial correlation matrix. Thus, the signal subspace, including information of the power and the directions-of-arrival (DOAs) of the GNSS signals, can be obtained. Next, a novel cyclic correlation eigenvalue test (CCET) algorithm was proposed to detect the presence of a spoofing attack, and the cyclic music signal classification (Cyclic MUSIC) algorithm was employed to estimate the DOAs of all the navigation signals. Finally, this study employed a subspace projection again to eliminate the spoofing signals and provide a higher gain for authentic satellite signals through beamforming. All the operations were performed on the raw digital baseband signal so that they did not introduce additional computational complexity to the GNSS receiver. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme not only suppresses jamming and spoofing effectively but also maximizes the power of the authentic signals. This article presents a method for detecting and mitigating intermediate GNSS spoofing. In this type of attack, at its early stage, a spoofer transmits counterfeit signals which have slight time offsets compared to true signals arriving from satellites. The anti-spoofing method proposed in this article fuses antenna array processing techniques with a multipath detection algorithm. The latter is necessary to separate highly correlated true and counterfeit GNSS signals. Spoofing detection is based on comparison of steering vectors related to received spatial components. Whereas mitigation is achieved by means of adaptive beamforming which excises interferences arriving from common direction and preserves undistorted signals from GNSS satellites. Performance of proposed method is evaluated through simulations, results of which prove the usefulness of this method for protecting GNSS receivers from intermediate spoofing interference.
