This research studies the impact of trade union intervention on occupational health, both in terms of preventive management and the creation of a participatory culture, and in the monitoring and control of working conditions. To this end, we have consulted the main national and international surveys on occupational risk management in companies, analyzing the most relevant data based on logistic and linear regression models, which revealed that union representation of workers in the company (generalist and specialized) correlates positively with the development of the main dimensions (social and scientific-technical) of the processes of safety and prevention of occupational risks. However, the combined effect of the economic recession, contractual deregulation and business strategies of outsourcing of prevention services, would be weakening this correlation.

This question is addressed by examining the individual trajectories of academic staff at a public university in Spain over the last forty years from a neo-institutional perspective. Research fails to establish if the path from beginning a career to achieving permanent status has passed through regulated processes or through processes subject to little or no regulation and in this case, if it is a recent phenomenon. It is hypothesized that the beginning of a career has become more uncertain with the proliferation of routes, although the career continues to develop further in a standard manner for most academic staff. The questions are examined through the use of data available on permanent staff which enables us to identify their avenue for entering the profession and to calculate how long it took to achieve permanence. The data suggest that the avenues for entering have proliferated but the initial career processes continue to be standardized: to an increasingly lesser degree in proportion to change in the institutional configuration.

Since 2008 Spain has experienced one of the most important economic crises in its recent history, a period in which different expressions of long-term labor conflicts have occurred, which have had, among others, a common denominator: the relationship between collective action and territory as a framework for the recomposition of templates fragmented by business outsourcing processes. The present article is prepared to analyze the experiences of the strikes carried out by the Coca Cola factory in Fuenlabrada (2014-2016) and the Movistar technicians (2015-2016), from which to contribute elements that allow to elaborate a typology of collective action within labor conflicts in post-crisis Spain.

The article has as objective to analyze the super-exploitation of the work of the cane cutters in the light of the value theory of Marx and the marxist theory of dependence. The analysis is based on the research carried out with two sugar mills in the state of São Paulo (Brazil) between 2011 and 2016, and shows the relationship between payment for production - form of compensation for sugarcane cutters – work intensification and super-exploitation. As conclusion, we have shown that there is super-exploitation in the case studied because at the same time that sugarcane cutters are having an increase in the value of their labor power, this increase is not accompanied by a proportional increase in wages, which means that these workers are being paid below their value.

This article seeks to reflect on the subjectifications of job insecurity. The neoliberal context that has fostered flexibility, along with annulling social rights, has fostered uncertainty in world citizenship. The forms of integration through work no longer have a place in the present, on the contrary the growing individuation has modified the ways of understanding social bonds, where short-term relationships have gained ground. Although a sector of the population has adapted (by pragmatism or resignation) to these new ways of life, there is a growing malaise in the population that does not see improvements in their quality of life and, on the contrary, only see an increase the social insecurity. This disaffection can have an impact on the perception of democracy, allowing it to be questioned as a satisfactory way of organizing life in society.

The article aims to analyze how the behavior of labor markets, as well as the resources that different welfare states offer their citizens, are key elements to identify different intervention models in the labor rehabilitation of people with mental illness serious. Thus, Spain is more prone to the model "first trains and then places" (for example, the CRL model), while in the United States it is more inclined towards the "first place and then train" model (IPS model). The analysis is based on the comparison between the last study on the IPS model applied to the case of some European countries, and the CRL model developed in the Comunidad de Madrid. The conclusions indicate that the CRL model presents labor insertion results slightly superior to the IPS model, despite the existence of clearly unfavorable factors, such as the creation of employment.

Digital social networks are productive territories that are affecting our usual understanding and definition of labor and political economy. Focusing in the case of Facebook, this article analyzes a model of digital accumulation of capital throught the colonization of the entire human living experience. This text proposes an analytical approach to the productive nature of our usual activity in the social networks paying special attention to its omnipresent quality. From this perspective, the digital activity of produsers is revealed as labor and digital social networks are presented as a territory of a deep and invisible exploitation.
