However, for systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), origin Raman spectral data (ORS) have relatively weak signals, making it challenging to obtain ideal classification results. Although the surface enhancement technique can enhance the scattering signal of Raman spectroscopic data, the sensitivity of the SERS substrate to airborne impurities and the inhomogeneous distribution of hotspots degrade part of the signal. To fully utilize both kinds of data, this paper proposes a two-branch residual-attention network (DBRAN) fusion technique, which allows the ORS to complement the degraded portion and thus improve the model's classification accuracy. The features are extracted using the residual module, which retains the original features while extracting the deep features. At the same time, the study incorporates the attention module in both the upper and lower branches to handle the weight allocation of the two modal features more efficiently. The experimental results demonstrate that both the low-level fusion method and the intermediate-level fusion method can significantly improve the diagnostic accuracy of SLE disease classification compared with a single modality, in which the intermediate-level fusion of DBRAN achieves 100% classification accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. The accuracy is improved by 10% and 7% compared with the ORS unimodal and the SERS unimodal modalities, respectively. The experiment, by fusing the multimodal spectral, realized rapid diagnosis of SLE disease by fusing multimodal spectral data, which provides a reference idea in the field of Raman spectroscopy and can be further promoted to clinical practical applications in the future. After collecting Raman spectral data of 12 compounds from commonly used Uyghur medicinal materials, the mixture data are synthesized using computer simulation methods. Uyghur medicine is one of the four major ethnic medicines in China and is a component of traditional Chinese medicine. The intrinsic quality of Uyghur medicinal materials will directly affect the clinical efficacy of Uyghur medicinal preparations. However, in recent years, problems such as adulteration of Uyghur medicinal materials and foreign bodies with the same name still exist, so it is necessary to strengthen the quality control of Uyghur medicines to guarantee Uyghur medicinal efficacy. Identifying the components of Uyghur medicines can clarify the types of medicinal materials used, is a crucial step to realizing the quality control of Uyghur medicines, and is also an important step in screening the effective components of Uyghur medicines. Currently, the method of identifying the components of Uyghur medicines relies on manual detection, which has the problems of high toxicity of the unfolding agent, poor stability, high cost, low efficiency, etc. Therefore, this paper proposes a method based on Raman spectroscopy and multi-label deep learning model to construct a model Mix2Com for accurate identification of Uyghur medicine components. The experiments use computer-simulated mixtures as the dataset, introduce the Long Short-Term Memory Model (LSTM) and Attention mechanism to encode the Raman spectral data, use multiple parallel networks for decoding, and ultimately realize the macro parallel prediction of medicine components. The results show that the model is trained to achieve 90.76% accuracy, 99.41% precision, 95.42% recall value and 97.37% F1 score. Compared to the traditional XGBoost model, the method proposed in the experiment improves the accuracy by 49% and the recall value by 18%; compared with the DeepRaman model, the accuracy is improved by 9% and the recall value is improved by 14%. The method proposed in this paper provides a new solution for the accurate identification of Uyghur medicinal components. It helps to improve the quality standard of Uyghur medicinal materials, advance the research on screening of effective chemical components of Uyghur medicines and their action mechanisms, and then promote the modernization and development of Uyghur medicine. The developed CuNPs@AgNPs@PSB has a large specific surface area and abundant "hot spot" region, which makes the SERS performance excellent. Meanwhile, the successful synthesis of CuNPs@AgNPs can not only modulate the plasmon resonance properties of nanoparticles, but also effectively prolong the time stability of Cu nanoparticles. The basic performance of the substrate was evaluated using rhodamine 6G (R6G). (Detection limit reached 10−15 M, R2 = 0.9882, RSD = 5.3 %) The detection limit of Forchlorfenuron was 10 μg/L. The standard curve with a regression coefficient of 0.979 was established in the low concentration range of 10 μg/L −100 μg/L. This indicates that the prepared substrates can accomplish the detection of pesticide residues in the low concentration range. [Display omitted] • Rapid diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus achieved using Raman spectroscopy. • Achieving accurate discrimination between SLE and SS. • Established three models (ANN, ResNet, SNN) and compared their classification effect. Multiple organs are affected by the autoimmune inflammatory connective tissue disease known as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). If not diagnosed and treated in a timely manner, it can lead to nephritis and damage to the blood system in severe cases, resulting in the patient's death. Therefore, correct and timely diagnosis and treatment are essential for patients. In this study, a framework based on neural network algorithm and Raman spectroscopy technique was established to diagnose SLE patients. Firstly, we pre-processed the obtained Raman data by three methods: baseline correction, smoothing processing and normalization methods, before using it as input for the model, and then ANN, ResNet and SNN classification models were established. The respective classification accuracies for SLE patients were 89.61%, 85.71%, and 95.65% for the three models, with corresponding AUC values of 0.8772, 0.8100, and 0.9555. The results of the experimental indicate that SNN possesses a good classification effect, and the number of model parameters is only 525,826, which is 414,221 less than that of ResNet model. Since the network only uses 0 and 1 to transmit information, and only has basic operations such as summation, compared with the second-generation artificial neural network, which simplifies the product operation of floating point numbers into multiple addition operations, the network has low energy consumption and is suitable for embedding portable Raman spectrometer for clinical diagnosis. [Display omitted] • Nanoparticles are uniformly embedded in PSi chips with 40–60 nm pore size, enhancing BRC serum signal. • The Ag 2 O-Ag core–shell structure effectively prevents silver from being oxidized by sulfur, giving the chip a shelf life of six months. • The PCA-t-SNE rapid screening model combined with the SERS microarray provides the basis for the development of a low-cost, rapid and sensitive technique for early screening of breast cancer. Ag 2 O-Ag-PSi (porous silicon) surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) chip was successfully synthesized by electrochemical corrosion, in situ reduction and heat treatment technology. The influence of different heat treatment temperature on SERS performance of the chip is studied. The results show that the chip treated at 300 °C has the best SERS performance. The chip was composed of Ag 2 O-Ag nano core shell with a diameter of 40–60 nm and porous silicon substrate. Then, the optimized chip was used to perform SERS test on serum samples from 30 healthy volunteers and 30 early breast cancer patients, and the baseline was corrected by LabSpec6 software. Finally, the data were analyzed by principal component analysis combined with t-distributed Stochastic Neighbor Embedding (PCA-t-SNE). The results showed that the accuracy of the improved substrate combined with multivariate statistical method was 98%. The shelf life of the chips exceeded six months due to the presence of the Ag 2 O shell. [Display omitted] • Differences in the biochemical composition of five types of cervical tissue were analyzed. • A multi-layered attention mechanism feature fusion architecture (MAFA) is proposed. • MAFA can effectively improve the classification accuracy of deep learning models for tissue samples. • MAFA as a model building method can be easily combined with a variety of deep learning models. Cervical cancer ranks among the most prevalent forms of gynecological malignancies. Timely identification of cervical lesions and prompt intervention can effectively prevent the development of cervical cancer or enhance patients' chances of survival. In this study, we propose an innovative method based on Raman spectroscopy, i.e., a multi-level SENet attention mechanism feature fusion architecture (MAFA) for rapid diagnosis of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. The convolution process of this architecture can extract features from shallow to deep layers, and the attention mechanism is added to achieve the fusion of features from different layers. The added attention mechanism can automatically determine the importance of each layer feature channel and assign weight values to that layer according to the importance of each layer to achieve the purpose of focusing the model on certain waveform features and improve the targeting of model learning. We collected Raman spectra of 212 cervical tissues containing cervical cancer and its precancerous lesions.The experimental results show that MAFA can effectively improve the diagnostic accuracy of VGGNet, GoogLeNet and ResNet models in the validation of Raman spectral data of cervical tissue. Among them, ResNet performed the best, with the highest average accuracy, precision, recall and F1-Score of 82.36%, 84.00%, 82.35% and 82.26%, respectively, when no feature fusion was performed. The evaluation metrics improved by 4.91%, 3.97%, 4.97%, and 5.06%, respectively, after using the MAFA; they also improved by 4.16%, 2.90%, 4.17%, and 4.32%, respectively, compared with the model that directly performs feature fusion without using the attention mechanism. Therefore, the MAFA proposed in this study is better than that of the neural network that directly fuses the features of each convolutional layer. The experimental results show that the performance of the MAFA proposed in this paper is significantly higher than that of traditional deep learning algorithms, indicating that the present architecture can effectively improve the diagnostic accuracy of deep learning networks for cervical cancer. In this study, we combined Raman spectroscopy with deep learning for the first time to establish an accurate, simple, and fast method to identify the origin of red wines. We collected Raman spectra from 200 red wine samples of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety from four different origins with a portable Raman spectrometer. The red wine samples, made in 2021, were from the same producer in China. Differences were found by analyzing the Raman spectra of red wine samples. These differences are mainly caused by ethanol, carboxylic acids, and polyphenols. After further analysis, for different origins, the different performances of these substances on the Raman spectrum are related to the climate and geographical conditions of the origin. The Raman spectra were analyzed by principal component analysis (PCA). The data with PCA dimensionality reduction were imported into an artificial neural network (ANN), multifeature fusion convolutional neural network (MCNN), GoogLeNet, and residual neural network (ResNet) to establish red wine origin identification models. The classification results of the model prove that climate, geography, and other conditions can provide support for the classification of red wine origin. The experiments showed that all four models performed well, among which MCNN performed the best with 93.2% classification accuracy, and the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.987. [Display omitted] • Differences in the biochemical composition of seven types of tissues are analyzed. • A new one-dimensional convolutional hierarchical network (H-CNN) is proposed. • H-CNN classifies tissue samples in a hierarchy from coarse to fine. • H-CNN outperforms traditional classification models. Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers with a long latent period and slow onset process. Early and accurate identification of the stage of cervical cancer can significantly improve the cure rate and patient survival time. In this study, we collected 699 Raman spectral data of tissue sections from 233 different patients. We analyzed and compared the characteristics and differences of the mean Raman spectra of the seven tissues and pointed out the main differences in the biochemical composition of the seven tissues. In this study, 1D hierarchical convolutional neural network (H-CNN) is proposed by integrating the prior knowledge of hierarchical classification relations with the research of deep learning in Raman spectroscopy. H-CNN is based on CNN and is added with three network branches. Hierarchical classification is performed from coarse to fine for tissue samples of cervicitis, Low-grade Squamous Cell Carcinoma, High-grade Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Well Differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Moderately Differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma, Poorly Differentiated Squamous Cell Carcinoma and cervical adenocarcinoma. To evaluate the recognition performance of H-CNN, we compared it with traditional methods such as Bayesian classifier (NB), decision tree classifier (DT), support vector machine classifier (SVM) and CNN. The experimental results show that H-CNN can accurately identify different classes of tissue sections and has apparent advantages in several aspects such as recognition accuracy, stability and sensitivity compared with the other four traditional recognition methods. The classification Macro-Accuracy of H-CNN can reach 94.91%, Macro-Recall can reach 95.31%, Macro-F1 can reach 95.23%, and Macro-AUC can reach 97.35%. The hierarchical classification method proposed in this study can diagnose patients more accurately. Breast cancer is common in women, and its number of patients ranks first among female malignant tumors. Breast cancer is highly heterogeneous, and different types of breast cancer have different biological behaviors and prognoses. Therefore, identifying the different types of breast cancer is of great help in formulating individualized treatment plans. Based on serum Raman spectroscopy and deep learning algorithms, we propose a fast and low-cost diagnosis method for screening triple-negative breast cancer, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-positive breast cancer, and healthy controls. We collected 75 serum samples in this study, including 23 triple-negative breast cancers, 22 HER2-positive breast cancers, and 30 healthy controls. Using the preprocessed Raman spectra as the input of deep learning, three deep learning models, neural network language model (NNLM), bidirectional long-short-term memory network (BiLSTM), and convolutional neural network (CNN), were established, and the accuracy rates of the three models were 87.78%, 90.37%, and 91.11%, respectively. The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of serum Raman spectroscopy combined with deep learning algorithms to diagnose breast cancer, which can be used as an effective auxiliary diagnosis method for breast cancer. According to the limited molecular information reflected by single spectroscopy, and the complementarity of FTIR spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy, we propose a novel diagnostic technology combining multispectral fusion and deep learning. We used serum samples from 45 healthy controls, 44 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), 38 glioma and 37 esophageal cancer patients, and the Raman spectra and FTIR spectra were collected respectively. Then we performed low-level fusion and feature fusion on the spectral, and used SVM, Convolutional Neural Network-Long-Short Term Memory (CNN-LSTM) and the multi-scale convolutional fusion neural network (MFCNN). [Display omitted] • Innovative use of generative technology established the recognition models of cumin and fennel from three regions. • This study also established the models for cumin and fennel in the same region. • This study provides a new method for classification of NIR spectroscopy. Cumin (Cuminum cyminum) and fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) are widely used seasonings and play a very important role in industries such as breeding, cosmetics, winemaking, drug discovery, and nano-synthetic materials. However, studies have shown that cumin and fennel from different regions not only differ greatly in the content of lipids, phenols and proteins but also the substances contained in their essential oils are also different. Therefore, realizing precise identification of cumin and fennel from different regions will greatly help in quality control, market fraud and production industrialization. In this experiment, cumin and fennel samples were collected from each region, a total of 480 NIR spectra were collected. We used deep learning and traditional machine learning algorithms combined with near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy to identify their origin. To obtain the model with the best generalization performance and classification accuracy, we used principal component analysis (PCA) to reduce spectral data dimensionality after Rubberband baseline correction, and then established classification models including quadratic discriminant analysis based on PCA (PCA-QDA) and multilayer perceptron based on PCA (PCA-MLP). We also directly input the spectral data after baseline correction into convolutional neural networks (CNN) and generative adversarial networks (GAN). The experimental results show that GAN is more accurate than the PCA-QDA, PCA-MLP and CNN models, and the classification accuracy reached 100%. In the cumin and fennel classification experiment in the same region, the four models achieve great classification results from three regions under the condition that all model parameters remain unchanged. The experimental results show that when the training data are limited and the dimension is high, the model obtained by GAN using competitive learning has more generalization ability and higher classification accuracy.
