The article profiles the International Academy of Montpellier (AIMM) in Montpellier, France and discusses how AIMM nurtures relationships between students and local violin makers. It is reported that AIMM president Ruggiero Ricci has encouraged several violin makers including Frédéric Chaudière, Nicolas Gilles, and Yann Poulain to participate in master classes at the academy. Also discussed are visits by several classical soloists to AIMM including Young Mi Cho and Rainer Moog.
