Over the past decade, neurorobotics-integrated machine learning has emerged as a new methodology to investigate and address related problems. The combined use of machine learning and neurorobotics allows us to solve problems and find explanatory models that would not be possible with traditional techniques, which are basic within the principles of symmetry. Hence, neuro-robotics has become a new research field. Accordingly, this study aimed to classify existing publications on neurorobotics via content analysis and knowledge mapping. The study also aimed to effectively understand the development trend of neurorobotics-integrated machine learning. Based on data collected from the Web of Science, 46 references were obtained, and bibliometric data from 2013 to 2021 were analyzed to identify the most productive countries, universities, authors, journals, and prolific publications in neurorobotics. CiteSpace was used to visualize the analysis based on co-citations, bibliographic coupling, and co-occurrence. The study also used keyword network analysis to discuss the current status of research in this field and determine the primary core topic network based on cluster analysis. Through the compilation and content analysis of specific bibliometric analyses, this study provides a specific explanation for the knowledge structure of the relevant subject area. As a complex nonlinear system, the first-order incremental relationship between the state variables of the beam and ball system (BABS) is asymmetric in the definition domain of the variables, and the characteristics of the system do not satisfy the superposition theorem. Studying the balance control of the BABS can help to better grasp the relevant characteristics of the nonlinear system. In this paper, the deep reinforcement learning method is used to study the BABS based on a visual sensor. First, the detail-reward function is designed by observing the control details of the system, and the rationality of the function is proved based on Q-function; secondly, considering and comparing the applicability of image processing methods in ball coordinate location, an intelligent location algorithm is proposed, and the location effects between the algorithms are compared and analyzed; then, combining the nonlinear theory and LQR theory, a reinforcement learning policy model is proposed to linearize near the equilibrium point, which significantly improves the control effect. Finally, experiments are designed to verify the effectiveness of the above methods in the control system. The experimental results show that the design scheme can be effectively applied to the control system of the BABS. It is verified that the introduction of detail-reward mechanism into a deep reinforcement learning algorithm can significantly reduce the complexity of the nonlinear control system and iterative algorithm, and effectively solve nonlinear control problems. Automatic segmentation of the lungs in Chest X-ray images (CXRs) is a key step in the screening and diagnosis of related diseases. There are many opacities in the lungs in the CXRs of patients, which makes the lungs difficult to segment. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes a segmentation algorithm based on U-Net. This article introduces variational auto-encoder (VAE) in each layer of the decoder-encoder. VAE can extract high-level semantic information, such as the symmetrical relationship between the left and right thoraxes in most cases. The fusion of the features of VAE and the features of convolution can improve the ability of the network to extract features. This paper proposes a three-terminal attention mechanism. The attention mechanism uses the channel and spatial attention module to automatically highlight the target area and improve the performance of lung segmentation. At the same time, the three-terminal attention mechanism uses the advanced semantics of high-scale features to improve the positioning and recognition capabilities of the attention mechanism, suppress background noise, and highlight target features. Experimental results on two different datasets show that the accuracy (ACC), recall (R), F1-Score and Jaccard values of the algorithm proposed in this paper are the highest on the two datasets, indicating that the algorithm in this paper is better than other state-of-the-art algorithms. Aiming at solving the problems of high background complexity of some butterfly images and the difficulty in identifying them caused by their small inter-class variance, we propose a new fine-grained butterfly classification architecture, called Network based on Multi-rate Dilated Attention Mechanism and Multi-granularity Feature Sharer (MRDA-MGFSNet). First, in this network, in order to effectively identify similar patterns between butterflies and suppress the information that is similar to the butterfly's features in the background but is invalid, a Multi-rate Dilated Attention Mechanism (MRDA) with a symmetrical structure which assigns different weights to channel and spatial features is designed. Second, fusing the multi-scale receptive field module with the depthwise separable convolution module, a Multi-granularity Feature Sharer (MGFS), which can better solve the recognition problem of a small inter-class variance and reduce the increase in parameters caused by multi-scale receptive fields, is proposed. In order to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the model in a complex environment, compared with the existing methods, our proposed method obtained a mAP of 96.64%, and an F1 value of 95.44%, which showed that the method proposed in this paper has a good effect on the fine-grained classification of butterflies. To solve the problems of poor exploration ability and convergence speed of traditional deep reinforcement learning in the navigation task of the patrol robot under indoor specified routes, an improved deep reinforcement learning algorithm based on Pan/Tilt/Zoom(PTZ) image information was proposed in this paper. The obtained symmetric image information and target position information are taken as the input of the network, the speed of the robot is taken as the output of the next action, and the circular route with boundary is taken as the test. The improved reward and punishment function is designed to improve the convergence speed of the algorithm and optimize the path so that the robot can plan a safer path while avoiding obstacles first. Expert systems, a form of artificial intelligence (AI), are typically designed to solve many real-world problems by reasoning through knowledge, which is primarily represented as IF–THEN rules, with the information acquired from humans or domain experts. However, to assume such rules for personalized decision-making in an intelligent, context-aware mobile application is a challenging issue. The reason is that different mobile users may behave differently in various day-to-day situations, i.e., not identical, and thus the rules for personalized services must be reflected according to their symmetrical or asymmetrical behavioral activities. Therefore, our key focus is to solve this issue through adding personalized decision-making intelligence to develop powerful mobile applications to assist the end-users. To achieve our goal, in this paper, we explore on "Mobile Expert System", where we take into account machine-learning rules as knowledge-base rather than traditional handcrafted static rules. Thus, the concept of a mobile expert system enables the computing and decision-making processes more actionable and intelligent than traditional ones in the domain of mobile analytics and applications. Our experiment section shows that the context-aware machine learning rules discovered from users' mobile phone data can contribute in building a mobile expert system to solve a particular problem, through making personalized decisions in various context-aware test cases. To beat competition and obtain valuable information, decision-makers must conduct in-depth machine learning or data mining for data analytics. Traditionally, clustering and classification are two common methods used in machine mining. For clustering, data are divided into various groups according to the similarity or common features. On the other hand, classification refers to building a model by given training data, where the target class or label is predicted for the test data. In recent years, many researchers focus on the hybrid of clustering and classification. These techniques have admirable achievements, but there is still room to ameliorate performances, such as distributed process. Therefore, we propose clustering and classification based on distributed automatic feature engineering (AFE) for customer segmentation in this paper. In the proposed algorithm, AFE uses artificial bee colony (ABC) to select valuable features of input data, and then RFM provides the basic data analytics. In AFE, it first initializes the number of cluster k. Moreover, the clustering methods of k-means, Wald method, and fuzzy c-means (FCM) are processed to cluster the examples in variant groups. Finally, the classification method of an improved fuzzy decision tree classifies the target data and generates decision rules for explaining the detail situations. AFE also determines the value of the split number in the improved fuzzy decision tree to increase classification accuracy. The proposed clustering and classification based on automatic feature engineering is distributed, performed in Apache Spark platform. The topic of this paper is about solving the problem of clustering and classification for machine learning. From the results, the corresponding classification accuracy outperforms other approaches. In solving classification problems in the field of machine learning and pattern recognition, the pre-processing of data is particularly important. The processing of high-dimensional feature datasets increases the time and space complexity of computer processing and reduces the accuracy of classification models. Hence, the proposal of a good feature selection method is essential. This paper presents a new algorithm for solving feature selection, retaining the selection and mutation operators from traditional genetic algorithms. On the one hand, the global search capability of the algorithm is ensured by changing the population size, on the other hand, finding the optimal mutation probability for solving the feature selection problem based on different population sizes. During the iteration of the algorithm, the population size does not change, no matter how many transformations are made, and is the same as the initialized population size; this spatial invariance is physically defined as symmetry. The proposed method is compared with other algorithms and validated on different datasets. The experimental results show good performance of the algorithm, in addition to which we apply the algorithm to a practical Android software classification problem and the results also show the superiority of the algorithm. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) emerges as a promising candidate for 5G, which radically alters the way users share the spectrum. In the NOMA system, user clustering (UC) becomes another research issue as grouping the users on different subcarriers with different power levels has a significant impact on spectral utilization. In previous literature, plenty of works have been devoted to solving the UC problem. Recently, the artificial neural network (ANN) has gained considerable attention due to the availability of UC datasets, obtained from the Brute-Force search (BF-S) method. In this paper, deep neural network-based UC (DNN-UC) is employed to effectively characterize the nonlinearity between the cluster formation with channel diversity and transmission powers. Compared to the ANN-UC, the DNN-UC is more competent as UC is a non-convex NP-complete problem, which cannot be entirely captured by the ANN model. In this work, the DNN-UC is first trained with the training samples and then validated with the testing samples to examine its mean square error (MSE) and throughput performance in an asymmetrical fading NOMA channel. Unlike the ANN-UC, the DNN-UC model offers greater room for hyper-parameter optimizations to maximize its learning capability. With the optimized hyper-parameters, the DNN-UC can achieve near-optimal throughput performance, approximately 97% of the throughput of the BF-S method. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As the size and service requirements of today's networks gradually increase, large numbers of proprietary devices are deployed, which leads to network complexity, information security crises and makes network service and service provider management increasingly difficult. Network function virtualization (NFV) technology is one solution to this problem. NFV separates network functions from hardware and deploys them as software on a common server. NFV can be used to improve service flexibility and isolate the services provided for each user, thus guaranteeing the security of user data. Therefore, the use of NFV technology includes many problems worth studying. For example, when there is a free choice of network path, one problem is how to choose a service function chain (SFC) that both meets the requirements and offers the service provider maximum profit. Most existing solutions are heuristic algorithms with high time efficiency, or integer linear programming (ILP) algorithms with high accuracy. It's necessary to design an algorithm that symmetrically considers both time efficiency and accuracy. In this paper, we propose the Q-learning Framework Hybrid Module algorithm (QLFHM), which includes reinforcement learning to solve this SFC deployment problem in dynamic networks. The reinforcement learning module in QLFHM is responsible for the output of alternative paths, while the load balancing module in QLFHM is responsible for picking the optimal solution from them. The results of a comparison simulation experiment on a dynamic network topology show that the proposed algorithm can output the approximate optimal solution in a relatively short time while also considering the network load balance. Selecting the proper performance metric constitutes a key issue for most classification problems in the field of machine learning. Although the specialized literature has addressed several topics regarding these metrics, their symmetries have yet to be systematically studied. This research focuses on ten metrics based on a binary confusion matrix and their symmetric behaviour is formally defined under all types of transformations. Through simulated experiments, which cover the full range of datasets and classification results, the symmetric behaviour of these metrics is explored by exposing them to hundreds of simple or combined symmetric transformations. Cross-symmetries among the metrics and statistical symmetries are also explored. The results obtained show that, in all cases, three and only three types of symmetries arise: labelling inversion (between positive and negative classes); scoring inversion (concerning good and bad classifiers); and the combination of these two inversions. Additionally, certain metrics have been shown to be independent of the imbalance in the dataset and two cross-symmetries have been identified. The results regarding their symmetries reveal a deeper insight into the behaviour of various performance metrics and offer an indicator to properly interpret their values and a guide for their selection for certain specific applications. The rather impressive extension library of medical image-processing platform 3D Slicer lacks a wide range of machine-learning toolboxes. The authors have developed such a toolbox that incorporates commonly used machine-learning libraries. The extension uses a simple graphical user interface that allows the user to preprocess data, train a classifier, and use that classifier in common medical image-classification tasks, such as tumor staging or various anatomical segmentations without a deeper knowledge of the inner workings of the classifiers. A series of experiments were carried out to showcase the capabilities of the extension and quantify the symmetry between the physical characteristics of pathological tissues and the parameters of a classifying model. These experiments also include an analysis of the impact of training vector size and feature selection on the sensitivity and specificity of all included classifiers. The results indicate that training vector size can be minimized for all classifiers. Using the data from the Brain Tumor Segmentation Challenge, Random Forest appears to have the widest range of parameters that produce sufficiently accurate segmentations, while optimal Support Vector Machines' training parameters are concentrated in a narrow feature space.
