Abstract: The article focuses on the development of a rhodium-catalyzed ene-cycloisomerzation reactions of alkenylidenecyclopropanes through the synthesis of kainic acid. The work featured the carbocyclization proceeds via a metallic intermediate, which offers opportunities for cyclization reactions. The research aims to contribute to the search for a practical synthesis of kainic acid.
