It was made a comparative test of the flocculant effectiveness CHEMADD A-41, 42 y A-43, of CHEMATEK, with the IP- 600 of ZAR CIA and the Percol, Canadian version of MAGNAFLOC R-155, on the increment of sedimentation rate of pulps of lateritic minerals, and the clarification of ammonia-carbonate liquors of the enterprise Cmdte René Ramos Latour. The samples were taken from leaching first stage and washing second stage, nickel basic carbonate, nickel and cobalt sulfide, so as pulp of nickel sulfide of the recuperation sedimentator of the dissolved nickel. The experiments showed that CHEMADD flocculants are quite effective to pulp sedimentation and liquor clarification increasing the sedimentation rate and offering clear liquors at the same levels of Percol, tested on industry scale and IP -600 at laboratory scale.
