The auto-infanticide defense to the impossibility of backward time travel is rendered invalid. Having to go back in time in order to kill a younger version of yourself would be improbable since the very act would entail having to hurdle an unusual number of coincidences. Such an act also connotes that if the murder was to succeed then the murderer would not survive into adulthood. Hence, the improbability of auto-infanticide which, even if it is to be considered, requires the negation of backward causation which is imperative to backward time travel.
