The article focuses on the temporary independence granted by Great Britain to Antigua and other British West Indies like Grenada, St. Lucia and Dominica. The temporary independence is preferred to full independence due to the high cost associated to full independence. These British West Indies have been anticipated to conduct their affairs through the popularly elected legislatures with mutual agreement.
