A specific form of social mobility, spatial mobility, is examined in this paper. Likewise, social representations by residents of different social strata are analyzed. The research project that the current results are based upon, deals with the effects of the stratification policy on paying public utilities and with social mobility. Spatial mobility patterns towards and within Bogotá are reviewed, as well as the way its inhabitants move around in the city by socioeconomic stratum. Finally, representations related to moral categories and social stratifications in the city are examined. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
