The Supreme Court is likely to reject an attempt to remove Donald Trump from the 2024 presidential ballot, as justices across the ideological spectrum suggested that Congress, not individual states, should set the standards for disqualifying a presidential candidate for engaging in insurrection. Colorado's Supreme Court had barred Trump from the state's presidential ballot after finding that he engaged in insurrection by inciting his followers to attack the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. If the Supreme Court rules in favor of Trump, similar efforts in other states would likely be extinguished. [Extracted from the article]
