Abstract

The article discusses real-estate developer Rintaro Kikuchi's efforts to increase marriage rates in Japan. Various reasons are cited for why the proportion of unmarried people has risen sharply. Kikuchi has constructed an apartment building with features aimed at making couples more relaxed and inclined toward sexual behavior.
