New morphological, taxonomic and faunistic data of the genus Deinopteroloma Jansson, 1946 from China are provided. Two species are described and illustrated: D.songi Peng & L.-Z. Li, sp. n. (Xizang: Pailong) and D.spinigerum Peng & L.-Z. Li, sp. n. (Hunan: Mangshan). New provincial records are provided for D.hamatum Smetana, 1996 from Anhui, Zhejiang and Jiangxi, D.obtortum Assing, 2015 from Sichuan, and D.tricuspidatum Smetana, 1996 from Zhejiang.

The genus Acetalius Sharp currently contains two species from Japan. In this paper, a third species, Acetalius grandis Yin & Li, sp. n., is described from eastern China. The foveal pattern of Acetalius, and polymorphism and major diagnostic features of Acetalius grandis are figured. An updated key to Acetalius species is provided.

Pella tianmuensis sp. n., a myrmecophile associated with Lasius (Dendrolasius) spathepus Wheeler, 1910 in West Tianmushan Natural Reserve, Zhejiang, is described, illustrated and distinguished from its congeners.

Six new species of the genus Linan Hlaváč are described from central to southern China: L.arcitibialissp. n. (Hubei), L.denticulatussp. n. (Guizhou), L.divaricatussp. n. (Jiangxi), L.geneolatussp. n. (Guizhou), L.mangshanussp. n. (Hunan), and L.mulunensissp. n. (Guangxi), with illustrations of habitus and major diagnostic characters. Linanmegalobus Yin & Li, originally described from Guizhou, is newly recorded in Hubei. An updated key to and a distributional map of all 16 known species are provided.

Paederus (Harpopaederus) xui Peng & Li, sp. n. (Sichuan: Micang Shan) is described. Additional records of five Harpaederus species are reported. All of these species are illustrated.

Three new species of the pygostenine genus Doryloxenus Wasmann, viz., Doryloxenus aenictophilus sp. n. (from Zhejiang), Doryloxenus tangliangi sp. n. (from Zhejiang), and Doryloxenus songzhigaoi sp. n. (from Yunnan), are described, illustrated and distinguished from the Asian congeners. An identification key to the Chinese species is given.

Dysanabatium hainanense Peng & Li, sp. n. (Hainan: Wuzhi Shan, Diaoluo Shan) is described and illustrated. Additional records of D. jacobsoni Bernhauer, 1915 are reported. The habitus, the sexual characters, and the distribution of this enormously variable species are illustrated.

Lobrathium fuscoguttatum sp. n. (type locality: Guangxi) is described and illustrated. The latest key to the Lobrathium species of mainland China is modified to include the new species. Additional data are provided for six previously described species.

New data on the Pselaphodes complex of genera (Pselaphitae: Tyrini) from China is presented. The generic limits of Labomimus Sharp and Pselaphodes Westwood are discussed and expanded. A revised key to the genera of the Pselaphodes complex is provided. New geographic evidence suggests that previously believed wide-spread species Pselaphodes tianmuensis Yin, Li & Zhao contains a number of related species, resulting in a division of the species to nine separate taxa. Fourteen new species belonging to three genera are diagnosed, described and illustrated: Dayao emeiensis Yin & Li, sp. n. (Sichuan), Labomimus fimbriatus Yin & Hlaváč, sp. n. (Yunnan), L. jizuensis Yin & Hlaváč, sp. n. (Yunnan), L. simplicipalpus Yin & Hlaváč, sp. n. (Sichuan), Pselaphodes anhuianus Yin & Li, sp. n. (Anhui), P. daii Yin & Hlaváč, sp. n. (Sichuan), P. grebennikovi Yin & Hlaváč, sp. n. (Yunnan), P. hainanensis Yin & Li, sp. n. (Hainan), P. kuankuoshuiensis Yin & Li, sp. n. (Guizhou), P. longilobus Yin & Hlaváč, sp. n. Labomimus sichuanicus Hlaváč, Nomura & Zhou (Sichuan) is redescribed and illustrated based on a paratype and the material from the type locality. Two recently described species, Pselaphodes tibialis Yin & Li (Yunnan), and P. venustus Yin & Li (Yunnan), are transferred to Labomimus (comb. n.) due to the presence of a median metaventral fovea. New locality data is provided for P. aculeus Yin, Li & Zhao (Anhui, Fujian, Guangxi, Hainan, Yunnan), P. maoershanus Yin & Li (Guangxi, Guizhou), P. tianmuensis (Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi) and P. pectinatus Yin, Li & Zhao (Hainan), with the aedeagus newly illustrated for the latter species.

This paper is the first of a series that deals with Dr. Michael Schülke’s collection of Pselaphinae from China. The tyrine genera Labomimus Sharp, Linan Hlaváč and Pselaphodes Westwood are chosen for the first part. The study revealed fourteen new species, all described and illustrated: Labomimus cognatus Yin & Li, sp. n. (Yunnan), Labomimus dabashanus Yin & Li, sp. n. (Hubei, Shaanxi), Labomimus mirus Yin & Li, sp. n. (Yunnan), Labomimus paratorus Yin & Li, sp. n. (Shaanxi), Labomimus sarculus Yin & Li, sp. n. (Yunnan), Labomimus schuelkei Yin & Li, sp. n. Pselaphodes jizushanus Yin, Li & Zhao is recorded from a new locality in Yunnan and its aedeagus is newly illustrated; new province records for Pselaphodes nomurai Yin, Li & Zhao is provided. Labomimus torus (Yin, Li & Zhao), comb. n. is moved from Pselaphodes after an examination of the holotype. Species represented only by unassociated females are listed with label data.

Two new species, Batricavus abdominalis Yin & Li, sp. n. and B. hainanensis Yin & Li, sp. n. are described from Hainan, South China, with male habitus and major diagnostic features illustrated. Batricavus tibialis Yin & Li is newly recorded from Zhejiang, East China. Keys to both sexes of the genus are included.

A new Episcaphium species collected from Yunnan Province of China is described as Episcaphium zhuxiaoyui sp. n., and its diagnostic characters are illustrated. A new province record of Episcaphium haematoides is reported. A key to the Episcaphium species recorded from China is provided.

Material of the genus Lobrathium Mulsant & Rey, 1878 from the Chinese provinces Fujian, Hunan, Sichuan, Guangdong and Guangxi is examined. Six species are identified, four of them described previously and two undescribed. Lobrathium kedian Peng & Li, sp. n. (Guangxi: Shiwangda Shan) is described and illustrated. One probably undescribed species remains unnamed. The female sexual characters of Lobrathium flexum Assing, 2014 are described and illustrated for the first time. The genus is now represented in mainland China by 43 species.

Three new species of the genus Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 from Sichuan Province, Southwest China are described and illustrated: L. acutissimum sp. n., L. hailuogouense sp. n. and L. labahense sp. n. A checklist of Chinese Lathrobium is provided.

Two new species of Lesteva Latreille are described and illustrated from Longwangshan Mountain, East China, viz. L. cala Ma & Li, sp. n. and L. erythra Ma & Li, sp. n. The latest key to Chinese Lesteva is modified to include the species described from continental China since 2000.

Five new species of the Stenus indubius group from China are described: S. cangshanus sp. n. from Yunnan Province, S. hewenjiae sp. n. from Sichuan Province, S. taiyangshanus sp. n. from Guangdong Province, S. yinziweii sp. n. and S. zhaiyanbini sp. n. from Guizhou Province. Diagnostic characters are illustrated and a key to the species of this group from the Chinese mainland is provided.

Species of the genus Lathrobium Gravenhorst from Longwangshan Mountain, Zhejiang, East China are studied. A total of five species are recognized, among which three are described here as new: L. lingae sp. n., L. longwangshanense sp. n. and L. uncum sp. n., one species was unidentified and the female of L. tianmushanense Watanabe is newly reported. All of these species are illustrated and keyed.

Two new species of the genus Quedius Stephens collected from Nabanhe Nature Reserve, Yunnan Province, Q. nabanhensis sp. n. and Q. maoxingi sp. n., are described and illustrated. Keys to the multipunctatus group and intricatus group of Quedius species of Yunnan are provided. A map of the collecting sites is given.

Dayao pengzhongi gen. et sp. n. is described and illustrated based on the material collected in Guangxi Province, South China. The genus is placed in the oriental ‘Pselaphodes complex’ of genera of the subtribe Tyrina and its taxonomic placement is discussed.

A total of three Chinese species of the genus Intestinarius Kurbatov, 2007 are recognized, among which, two new species are described: I. guangdongensis sp. n. from Guangdong and I. longiceps sp. n. from Guizhou. Illustrations of major diagnostic characters are given for all three Chinese species including I. kuzmini Kurbatov, 2007. A key is included to aid in their identification.

Chinese species of Dianous group I are studied and three new species are described: D. fengtingae sp. n. from Hainan Province, D. zhujianqingi sp. n. from Jiangxi and Guizhou Province, and D. huanghaoi sp. n. from Yunnan Province. Dianous shan Rougemont and D. viridicupreus Rougemont are discovered from China for the first time. Their diagnostic characters are illustrated and a key to Chinese species of Dianous group I is provided.

Two new species of the genus Nazeris Fauvel collected from Nabanhe Nature Reserve, Yunnan Province, are described under the names of N. nabanhensis sp. n. and N. caoi sp. n. The male sexual characters are described and illustrated. A key to the Nazeris species of Yunnan is provided. A map of the collecting sites is given.

A remarkable new species of the genus Tribasodites, 1960, Tribasodites spinacaritus sp. n. is described and illustrated from Zhejiang Province, East China. A key to world species of the genus is provided. Systematic position of the new taxon is discussed.

A new species of Rugilus Leach, Rugilus (Rugilus) huanghaoi sp. n. from Qinling, Shaanxi Province, China, is described and illustrated. Additional records of seven species from Qinling are reported.

Two new species of the genus Horniella Raffray are described from China: Horniella aculeata sp. n. (Yunnan Province) and Horniella jinggangshana sp. n. (Jiangxi Province). Horniella nakhi Yin & Li is recorded from a new locality. Three potentially new species from Myanmar and China, each represented by female specimen(s) only, are left unnamed. Their collecting data are given, and the genital complex figured for future comparison.

Material of the paederine genera Domene Fauvel, 1873 and Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 from the Dayao Mountains, southern China, is examined. Eight species are identified, three of them described previously and five undescribed. Four species are described and illustrated for the first time: Domene hei Peng & Li, sp. n., Lathrobium jinxiuense Peng & Li, sp. n., Lathrobium kuan Peng & Li, sp. n. and Lathrobium leii Peng & Li, sp. n. One probably undescribed species of Lathrobium remains unnamed.

A review of 21 species of Scaphidium Olivier from East China is presented, including 6 new species: S. jinmingi sp. n. (Zhejiang, Anhui, Chongqing), S. crypticum sp. n.(Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangxi), S. varifasciatum sp. n. (Zhejiang, An’hui), S. robustum sp. n. (Fujian, Guizhou, Chongqing, Guangxi, Yunnan), S. connexum sp. n. (Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangxi), and S. bayibini sp. n. (An’hui). New province records for S. comes Löbl, S. grande Gestro, S. sauteri Miwa & Mitono, S. formosanum Pic, S. carinense Achard, S. sinense Pic, S. delatouchei Achard, S. biwenxuani He, Tang & Li, S. klapperichi Pic, S. stigmatinotum Löbl, S. wuyongxiangi He, Tang & Li, and S. direptum Tang & Li as well as some biological notes are reported. Habitus and diagnostic characters of all species are photographed and a key to Scaphidium species of East China is provided.

Lobrathium jianqingi sp. n. (Guangxi: Shiwanda Shan) and Lobrathium atanggei sp. n. (Yunnan: Nabanhe) from southwest China are described and illustrated.

The genus Nitidotachinus Campbell of Mainland China is reviewed with descriptions of five new species: Nitidotachinus anhuiensis sp. n. (Anhui), Nitidotachinus bini sp. n. (Zhejiang), Nitidotachinus brunneus sp. n. (Zhejiang), Nitidotachinus capillosus sp. n. (Zhejiang), and Nitidotachinus xiangi sp. n. (Hubei). Nitidotachinus excellens concolor Schülke is synonymized with Nitidotachinus excellens syn. n. All treated species are described with their major diagnostic characters illustrated. An identification key to the species is given.

Brathinus satoi Kishimoto & Shimada, 2003 is recorded from Longwangshan Nature Reserve, Zhejiang, China. Some diagnostic characters of the species are discussed based on more specimens, and some biological notes are made on the species.

Two new species of the tyrine genus Megatyrus Hlaváč & Nomura, M. schuelkei Yin & Li, sp. n. (based on two males) and M. tengchongensis Yin & Li, sp. n. (based on one female), from Yunnan, Southwest China are described, illustrated and distinguished from allied species. The body size, form of maxillary palpi, male and female genital structures, and distributional patterns are used to separate the new species.

A study on the Steninae of Ningxia Autonomous Region is presented. Sixteen species are recognized, including new province records for 11 species and four new species: Stenus biwenxuani sp. n., S. liupanshanus sp. n., Dianous yinziweii sp. n., D. ningxiaensis sp. n. Habitus photos of the new species, illustrations of diagnostic characters of all species and a key to species of the Steninae recorded from Ningxia are provided.

Two new Chinese species of Derops are described: D. hainanus sp. n. from Hainan and D. yunnanus sp.n. from Yunnan. Females of D. punctipennis Schülke and D. schillhammeri Schülke are described for the first time and new provinces records of D. smetanai Schülke and D. dingshanus Watanabe are reported. The key to Chinese species of Derops published by Schülke 2003 is modified to include the new species.

A new genus and species, Pengzhongiella daicongchaoi, of the subtribe Batrisina (Batrisitae: Batrisini) is described from the Gaoligong Mountains, Yunnan, Southwest China. Adults were collected in a colony of Odontomachus monticola, and presented reduction of certain external characters and elongate appendages relating to myrmecophily. Description and illustrations of the habitus and major diagnostic features of the new taxon are provided; a brief discussion of its taxonomic placement is included. The new species also represents the first record of a Pselaphinae in association with an Odontomachus ant.

Eight apterous species of the paederine genus Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 from the Chinese province Sichuan are described, illustrated, and distinguished from closely related and/or geographically close congeners: L. erlangense Peng & Li sp. n. (Erlang Shan), L. blandum Peng & Li sp. n. (Labahe N. R.), L. yelense Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. obscurum Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. yinziweii Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. illustre Peng & Li sp. n. (Yele), L. micangense Peng & Li sp. n. (Micang Shan) and L. agglutinatum Assing & Peng sp. n. (Qingcheng Shan). The total number of described Lathrobium species from Sichuan now stands at 39, that of mainland China at 165.

Two new species, Pselaphodes linae Yin & Li, sp. n. (Hainan, Fujian) and P. shii Yin & Li, sp. n. (Hainan) are described from South China. Taiwanophodes minor Hlaváč is reported from outside Taiwan for the first time. Illustrations of major diagnostic features are provided for all treated taxa. The latest key to Chinese Pselaphodes is modified to include the new species.

The genus Sinotrisus Yin & Li, comprising four species, is redefined and revised. Members of Sinotrisus are often found with ants of the subfamily Formicinae, or in humid forest habitats. The type species and three new species are (re-)described and illustrated: S. kishimotoi Yin & Nomura, sp. n. (China: Sichuan), S. nomurai Yin, Li & Zhao (type species) (China: Zhejing), S. sinensis Yin & Nomura, sp. n. (China: Sichuan) and S. vietnamensis Yin & Nomura, sp. n. (Vietnam: Lai Chau). A key is included as an aid to distinguishing these species.

A new species, Apteroloma zhejiangense sp. n., is described from Zhejiang Province, China. The habitus and sexual characters of the new species are illustrated. Apteroloma jinfo Růžička, is reported for the first time from China: Hubei and Hunan Provinces, and A. potanini (Semenov, 1893) from Ningxia and Henan Provinces. Presence of A. kozlovi Semenov-Tian-Shanskij & Znojko in Semenov-Tian-Shanskij, 1932 in South Korea is confirmed based on re-examined material.

Araneibatrus gracilipes gen. n. and sp. n. from South China is described and illustrated. The systematic position of the genus is discussed.
