Aims: The study is aimed to identify parent›s knowledge, attitudes and practices towards antibiotics use without a prescription among children under five years old in Marib City, Yemen and the factors affecting it. Methodology: The researcher uses the descriptive analytical method, and a questionnaire applied to a sample of parents of children under the age of five years. The researcher analyzes the data with both the Excel program and SPSS program. Results: The sample consists of (150) parents. The highest percentage was for males, as (60%), while (40%) were females. The study showed a high prevalence of self-medication behavior and giving children antibiotics without a doctor’s prescription, where more than half of the sample (52.0%) that responded to the questionnaire practiced this behavior. While (33.3%) had incorrect information about the ability of antibiotics to treat diseases caused by bacteria, and viruses in (38%) of cases respectively. Also the study showed that about a third of the sample (30.7%), of the research participants are ignorant, and have no information about bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Conclusion and recommendation: There is a high prevalence of selfmedication behavior, and giving children antibiotics, without a doctor›s prescription in the city of Marib, Yemen. And there was a lack of knowledge, attitudes and practices of parents towards this problem, in addition to parents› ignorance about the possibility of the growth of antibiotic-resistant bacteria, and the study recommends increasing the level of awareness in the society in general and among the parents, in particular, about the seriousness of this behavior. This study aimed at applying Ashwort (1989) model which reflects the relation between urban development and hotel location structure in a few cities, and the impact of transportation, the central market of the city, the cultural as well as natural features in a given city on Amman’s hotel locations and their development in the last 100 years using the evolutionary approach and by application of Geographical Information System (GIS). The results are partially consistent with the mentioned model. In this regard, the image of the new neighborhoods, the location of public and private establishments - such as universities, hospitals, and residential land catogeries have to be added to the aforementioned model in the case of Amman. The study recommends the follow up of the recent development of the old city, and to study hotel’ locations in other Arabic cities to draw a new or compelmentry “hotel location model” for Arabic Cities. This study aimed to investigate the effect of a program based on violence alternatives in reducing the psychopathic tendency among a sample of adolescents in the Old City of Hebron, and to identify the effect of the academic average, gender, and economic level on the psychopathic tendency. The population consists of all adolescents in the Old City (1238) adolescents. (100) adolescents who were randomly divided into (50) for the experimental group and (50) for the control group participated in the study. The Levenson Scale for Psychopathy Tendency, and the alternatives of violence program was applied to the experimental group. The results showed differences in the pretest and posttest on the Psychopathy Tendency Scale. The study also showed no differences in the psychopathic tendency between the control and experimental groups on the pretests measurement. But there were differences in the posttest in favor of the experimental group. Moreover, there were no differences in the psychopathic tendency due to gender, academic average, and the financial situation of the family. The study concluded a set of recommendations, such as the activation of violence alternatives which would reduce degrees of violence among adolescents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

District of Tubas in Palestine has been under occupation for over a half century. The occupying power did not take the issue of developing health services in this district seriously. Therefore, this study, through using new technologies tries to carry out spatial analysis of health services in terms of their distribution and adequacy. This study aims to carry out spatial analysis to health services in Tubas District in terms of their distribution and adequacy. The study also aims to find out the most important problems they encounter and suggest appropriate solutions. Researchers used historical method to follow Tubas District historical periods, development of its demography and health services. Researchers also relied on descriptive and spatial methods through the uses of Geographic Information Systems, statistical analysis, and the nearest neighbor for the purpose of finding out the spatial distribution of health services. This study has revealed that it is of great importance to use new technologies in health services spatial analysis in the District of Tubas. The study has revealed that such services are not equally distributed, and this is due to changing ruling powers throughout the last century and most importantly to long negligence of Israeli authorities of developing this district. In addition, the division of this district to subareas of A, B and C has its severe consequences on the distribution of health services. It is very necessary to put standards that are suitable to Palestinians in order to upgrade Tubas health services. The research aims to detect the damage caused to the historical buildings of the old city of Mosul and assess the condition of those buildings according to the indicators of the degree of damage to the buildings Macroseismic scale, which is proposed by the European Geological Center for Earthquakes. All that seen of constructions and buildings, which made by human, hurt the sight of the observers and it’s considered as a visual pollution.With the passage of time and repeated its presence, it loses the senses of its beauty values and the upscale sights of constructions. Their presence is a material contaminated with abnormal incompatible with the surrounding other elements. The reasons forthe disfiguration arenegligence, misuse, not to look after the public facilities, and a fail in the technical design beside the practice of wrong behaviors. Moreover, the financial resourcesplay a very important part in spread and regression of the disfiguration of the cities. The old city of Mukalla has a beautiful tourist and heritage features. These features hold aesthetic views and maritime sight, but this aesthetic image is exposed to deformation and visual pollution. Matter requires as visual study and an analysis and documentation of the foreclosure situation problems. This Study is following the descriptive and analytical method of the assumed information from the visits to the old city. The search completes with a set of results and recommendations to reserve the city of distortion, physical of visual pollution, and to keep the beautiful image of the rich old city and its distinctive character.
