The aim of the study is to make retrospective analysis of 9 years experience in the feeding of praematuries and high risk newborn in that ward in First City Hospital-Sofia with formula milks "Nenatal" and "Nutrilon-premium". 721--42.4% from all babies in this period were feed with those formulas. With Nenatal only--11.8%, with Nutrilon-premium 88.2%. This the fact is due that all babies under 2000 gr. were fed with Nenatal, and after reaching 2000 gr.--with Nutrilon-premium. The results confirm that Nenatal is right formula for feeding of low and very low birth weight infant, due to its special content and qualities. The results from Nutrilon-premium illustrated that mean gain weight is the biggest in I grade of prematurity--33 grams, followed by matures--30 gr, after them II grade--29 gr., III grade--27 gr., IV grade--26 gr. As a conclusion we may say that mean gain weight for all groups is 29 grams. Consuming all gain weight of the babies feeding with Nutrilon-premium data appear that the biggest is in III of prematurity--1499 grams, followed by IV grade--1418 gr., I grade--1341 spama, II grade--1219 gr., and last matures--745 gr.

The syndrome "urgency of lienal origin" during a pregnancy consists of two syndromes--violent spontaneous pain in the left hypochondrium or in the epigastrium, shortly followed by haemorrhagic shock. Occasionally some other symptoms are present--nausea, vomiting, powerless prolonged labor, innervation of the phrenic nerve. The cases of spontaneous spleen rupture as well as ruptures of splenic vein or artery also assessing to this syndrome. Mean maternal mortality is over 70%. The authors present two cases: the first one--a case of spontaneously ruptured splenic artery aneurysm, the second one--of splenic rupture. The first of two cases came of successful for both mother and baby. This is the sixth similar case described in literature till 1978. The second case presented--a spontaneous lienal rupture, is very rare. The favourable prognosis is entirely determined by prompt diagnosis.

The authors analysed the results of 225 women with carcinoma of the uterine cervix, treated at the gynecological clinic of the National Oncological Center for a 10-year period. The mean age was 36.7 years. No complaints were found in 206 patients. Cytological Pap 3-5 was established in 221 women. Conformity between histological examination after a colposcopic-directed biopsy, conization or total hysterectomy was found in 117 patients (53.18%). Carcinoma was discovered at 0 degree in 34 patients (11.44%) only just after conization, but in 69 women the tumour was removed during a colposcopic-directed biopsy and was not found in the operation material. Treatment of 217 women was conization, of 3 women--classical total hysterectomy and of 5 patients--intracavitary brachytherapy. In 7 patients the tumour was not removed till healthy tissue, which caused reconization in one woman and total hysterectomy in 6 patients. A relapse of the disease was found in 9 patients up to 2 years after conization (6 cases with carcinoma in situ, 3--with microinvasive carcinoma). Total hysterectomy was performed in all patients. Possibility for discovery of a relapse in the form of invasive carcinoma is ruled out during systemic and continuous observation. It is possible to perform reconization in women with persistent carcinoma in situ in view of preserving their generative function.

The histories and the results of the postmortem examinations of 507 patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease were studied. In 62.6% of them left ventricular hypertrophy was found. As probable causes for this left ventricular hypertrophy are suggested: arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, hypoxemia, hypercapnia, heart failure, diabetes mellitus. The weight measurement correlations between the left and the right heart ventricles were studied in: "normal hearts", hearts with right ventricular, hypertrophy only, hypertrophy of both ventricles, left ventricular hypertrophy only. A correlation between the mass increase and the wall thickness of the ventricles was established. In the patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease and hypertrophy of both ventricles the mass and the wall thickness of the ventricles increase simultaneously. The possible pathogenetic mechanisms of the left ventricular involvement in patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease are discussed.

The dynamics of cumulation was followed up of the products of peroxide oxidation of lipids (POL) during the storage of meat obtained from broiler birds, pigs, and calves, and the activity was determined of one of the systems responsible for the deposition of such products--the nonenzyme system. Results showed that the cumulation of POL products in sampled white poultry meat and meat of pigs and calves, stored for 20 days at -5 degrees to -10 degrees C had close values. The rate of deposition in red poultry meat appeared to be several times higher. Investigations into the activity of the nonenzyme system that produced catalytic effects with POL 4 to 5 hours after sampling the meat revealed that it was lowest in homogenates of calf meat, and it was highest in homogenates of poultry meat, especially of red poultry meat. In this respect the meat of pigs ranked second. The data of the two criteria used showed that the rate of POL in PSE meat was lower than in normal meat of pigs.

The quick increase of morbidity, caused by the endometrial carcinoma in our country during recent 15 years from 5,2 to 16,5 per 100,000 raises acutely the question about effective primary and secondary prophylaxis. Having in mind the role of hyperestrogenemia in the etiology of endometrial carcinoma and the fact that the results from its treatment are determined basically by the degree of distribution of the tumor, the authors think that it is necessary fight for rational feeding, timely treatment of the disease with hyperestrogenemia and prophylactic therapy with gestagens. Cytologic examination of aspirate, obtained from the uterine cavity, is proposed as screening method for women of the risk groups. A scheme of management of women with pathological R3-5 group is proposed.
