As a marginalized group, transgender people generally suffer from social prejudice, discrimina tion and stigma. Evidence abounds that transgender people have varying degrees of psychological and behavioral problems. This paper introduces 4 common psychological problems in transgender, including depression, anxiety, suicide, and drug abuse. A minority stress model theory is introduced to explain the causes of their psychological and behavioral problems. With the economic development and improvement of living standards, mental health has gradually been incorporated into the national economic and social development planning. Because of the large population base of children and adolescnets, the low coverage of menta health care and the uneven regional development, the contradiction between supply and demand is prominent. The mental health care in China is still in its infancy and dace many challenges.
