ObjectiveTo analyze the epidemiological distribution and temporal trends of liver cancer incidence among Luzhou residents from 2016‒2022， and to provide a theoretical basis for improving liver cancer prevention and treatment strategies in Luzhou.MethodsData on liver cancer incidence among Luzhou residents from 2016 to 2022 were collected， and the incidence rate， age-specific incidence rate， and annual percentage change （APC） were calculated. A Joinpoint regression model was used to fit a time series segment to the monthly number of new cases in each district and county of Luzhou to explore the trend of liver cancer incidence rate.ResultsThe incidence rate of liver cancer in Luzhou increased from 22.96/105 in 2016 to 32.31/105 in 2022. The incidence rate of liver cancer in men was higher than that in women in both 2016 and 2022， and the incidence rate of liver cancer in men increased from 34.83/105 in 2016 to 47.95/105 in 2022， with an APC of 3.3%； the incidence rate of liver cancer in women increased from 10.50/105 in 2016 to 15.95/105 in 2022， with an APC of 3.0%， and the differences in the change trends were not statistically significant （P>0.05）.The incidence of liver cancer was low in the age group of 0‒

In order to improve the coolness of wool worsted fabrics during summer use and expand their applications in short sleeved shirts, summer shorts, and work-wear, wool blended fabrics with good cooling effect and excellent wearing comfort were designed and developed in this paper by screening dyestuff with infrared reflection ability, and combining cool-touch fibers and moisture wicking finishing. Compared to conventional fabrics of the same quality, this fabric can cool down by 2-4 °C under simulated sunlight irradiation conditions, and has excellent contact cooling sensation (Q-max value of 0.28 J/(cm² · s) and wicking effect (wicking height of over 12.5 cm). In response to the need for improving prediction accuracy (ACC) in existing models for Antimicrobial Peptides (AMPs), a novel AMP prediction model called DeepGlap was proposed. This model utilized two protein language models for feature extraction from AMP sequences, followed by fusion of feature vectors. These fused vectors were then input into a deep learning network composed of multiple layers of bidirectional long short-term memory networks (mBi-LSTM), one-dimensional convolutional neural networks (1D-CNN), and attention mechanisms. The model underwent performance evaluation and optimization. Results indicated that the model achieved ACC, the Pearson correlation coefficient (MCC), and the area urder the curve (AUC) values of 0.739, 0.489, and 0.81, respectively, demonstrating superior predictive performance compared to existing AMP prediction models. Modified polyglycolic acid (PGA) was prepared by melt blending and reactive extrusion. The effects of chain extenders, crosslinking agents and lubricants on melt fluidity, dynamic rheological properties, thermal stability, and crystallization properties of modified samples were studied. The results show that the melt strength of samples are significantly improved by using ADR chain extender and BIBP crosslinking agent simultaneously, the melt mass flow rate is decreased by 73.6% compared to pure PGA. The thermal stability of modified samples is also improved, with increasing the 5% thermal decomposition temperature by 7 °C. With the addition of chain extender and crosslinking agent, the degree of crystallinity of PGA samples are decreased, the number of crystal nuclei are decreased, and the spherulite size are increased. The degree of cross-linking of the sapmles with adding chain extender and crosslinking agent at the same time is increased, resulting in imperfect crystallization and the formation of irregular crystals. Molecular motion are promoted by lubricants, and the crystallization temperature of PGA sample is decreased from 179.3 °C without addition to 173.9 °C after addition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: Exploring the effects of miR-155 regulation of SMAD2 expression in podocyte injury as well as macrophage inflammatory response in mouse lupus nephritis. Methods: The experimental mice were randomly divided into blank, model, AAV9-miR-NC, AAV9-miR-155, AAV9-miR-anti, and AAV9-miR-anti-NC groups, with 8 mice in each group, of which the blank group was C57BL/6 mice, and the rest of the groups were MRL/lpr mice, and the groups were treated and sampled accordingly. The presence or absence of a binding site for miR-155 and SMAD2 was predicted by target genes, an online target gene prediction website. Dual luciferase reporter gene analysis system to validate the targeting relationship between miR-155 and SMAD2. Determination of 24 h urinary protein content in each group of mice by Caumas Brilliant Blue method. Hematoxylin-Eosin staining was used to observe the kidney tissues of mice ; qRT-PCR to detect the expression level of miR-155 in kidney tissues of each group. Western blot was used to detect nephrin, P-cadherin and SMAD2 protein expression in renal tissues. Immunofluorescence assay to detect the expression of inflammatory factors (IL-6, TNF-α) in mice. Results: Compared with the blank group, mice in the model group had elevated urinary protein, severe renal pathological damage, and decreased expression levels of nephrin, P-cadherin, and SMAD2 while increased expression levels of IL-6 and TNF-α in renal tissues (P<0.05). Compared with the model group and AAV9-miR-NC group, mice in the model group of AAV9- miR-155 group showed elevated urinary protein, obvious renal pathological damage, and obvious elevation of miR-155 in renal tissues, whereas the expression levels of nephrin, P-cadherin, and SMAD2 were decreased (P<0.05) whereas the fluorescence intensity of IL-6 and TNF-α was enhanced significantly; Compared with the model and AAV9-miR-anti-NC groups, mice in the AAV9-miR-anti group showed decreased urinary protein, improved renal pathological injury, decreased miR-155 expression, and increased expression levels of nephrin, P-cadherin, and SMAD2 compared to the model group (P<0.05) whereas the fluorescence intensities of IL-6 and TNF-α decreased; In the model group, AAV9-miR-NC group, and AAV9-miR-anti-NC group mice, the differences in the above indexes were not statistically significant (P>0.05). Dual luciferase reporter gene assay showed that miR-155 inhibited the fluorescence activity of wild-type SMAD2 cells and targeted the regulation of SMAD2 expression. Conclusion: High expression of miR-155 exacerbated podocyte injury and inflammatory response in lupus nephritis in mice by regulating SMAD2, whereas inhibition of miR-155 expression attenuated podocyte injury and inflammatory response in mice. In this paper, the intrinsic structure model of SiCp/Al composites was constructed based on the analysis of static and dynamic mechanical properties of SiCp/Al composites. Quasi-static tensile tests were conducted for SiCp/2a14Al composites with 20% volume fraction using an electronic universal testing machine to study the static mechanical properties of the material. Dynamic compression tests were conducted at different temperatures (20 °C-400 °C) and strain rates (500 /s-3000 /s) using a Hopkinson compression bar test to analyze the dynamic mechanical properties of the material. The Johnson-Cook (JC) intrinsic structure model of SiCp/Al composites was constructed based on the material stress-strain test data under static and dynamic conditions, and the model was optimized by genetic algorithm. The results show that the SiCp/Al composites exhibit a strain-reinforcement effect under quasi-static conditions; under dynamic loading conditions, the material flow stress increases with the strain rate and exhibits a strain-rate reinforcement effect, which is related to the volume fraction of silicon carbide particles. With the increase of temperature, the flow stress decreases and exhibits a temperature-softening effect. The average error between the least squares fitted JC model and the experimental values is large, and the model error is reduced after optimization by genetic algorithm, which can accurately predict the rheological behavior of SiCp/2a14Al composites. 4H-SiC wafer processing is a critical step for high-quality substrate wafers manufacture, which directly affects the performance of epitaxial films and the following devices. In this work, the properties including surface morphology, roughness, mechanical performance and crystal quality of 4H-SiC wafers processed by sawing, grinding, lapping and CMP have been investigated. It has been found that 4H-SiC wafer processing is beneficial to remove the surface damages and to improve the surface quality of wafers. The mechanical properties of the C-face and Si-face of 4H-SiC exhibit anisotropic. Due to the worse material toughness, brittle fracture is more intense during the C-face processing. Therefore, the material removal rate of the C-face is higher, and the surface morphology and roughness are relatively worse. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Semiconducting silicon carbide (4H-SiC) exhibits characteristics of high hardness, notable brittleness, and excellent chemical stability. The commonly employed technique for achieving an ultra-smooth and flat surface is chemical mechanical polishing (CMP), which is utilized to process the 4H-SiC surface. Wet oxidation, as an important process of chemical-mechanical polishing of single-crystal 4H-SiC, directly affects the rate and surface quality of CMP. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the current research status of wet oxidation of single-crystal 4H-SiC. It discusses the oxidants used in the wet oxidation of 4H-SiC, such as KMnO4, H2O2, K2S2O8. Based on this, it further summarizes commonly employed oxidation-enhancement methods, including photocatalytic-assisted oxidation, electrochemical oxidation, and Fenton reaction. The mechanism of wet oxidation of single-crystal 4H-SiC is analyzed from the aspect of theoretical calculation, and the future research direction of wet oxidation of 4H-SiC is proposed. Darolutamide is an important drug for the treatment of prostate cancer. When studying its synthesis process, three impurities A, B, and C were discovered and purified in the first step of Suzuki coupling and the second step of hydrolysis deprotection reactions. Impurities A and B came from the first-step reaction, and impurity C came from the second-step reaction. The structures of impurities A and B were further determined through high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), 1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), and 13C NMR methods. It was discovered that impurities A and B were the deborated pinacol ester product of compound 2 and the double coupling product of compound 1, respectively. The accurate structures of compound 3 and impurity C were determined using HRMS, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 1H-1H COSY (correlation spectroscopy), 1H-13C HSQC (heteronuclear singular quantum correlation), 1H-13C HMBC (heteronuclear multiple bond correlation) and 1H-1H NOESY (nuclear overhauser effect spectroscopy). The formation mechanisms and avoidance methods of these impurities were also discussed.

Stable operation of wastewater plants under overload has been a hot spot of concern for researchers，and efficient nitrogen and phosphorus removal is a difficult point in the process of stable operation. A wastewater treatment plant in Zhengzhou uses a pre-anoxic modified A2/O process，treating 1.2-1.8 times the design value，with influent BOD5/COD，BOD5/TN and BOD5/TP ranges of 0.19-0.88，1.38-7.21 and 13.12-89.17 respectively，and uses multi-point distribution of influent，increased internal reflux ratio，precise aeration and other operation methods. The variation of nitrogen and phosphorus in the whole wastewater process was analyzed. The results showed that the removal rates of COD，TN and TP reached 90.4%，83% and 98.55%，which were better than the Class Ⅰ A discharge standard of the Pollutant Discharge Standard for Urban Wastewater Treatment Plants（GB 18918—2002）， when the influent water was evenly distributed in the pre-anoxic，anaerobic and anoxic sections，the internal return ratio was 400% and the DO concentration in the aerobic tank was below 0.5 mg/L.Some indicators reached Surface Water Quality Standard（GB 3838—2002） Class Ⅲ standard.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of the ovarian-adnexal reporting and data system (O-RADS) in differentiating between benign and malignant ovarian tumors, and to analyze risk factors for malignant ovarian tumors. Methods The clinical data of 417 patients with ovarian tumors diagnosed by pathology were retrospectively analyzed. With pathological results as the gold standard, the patients were divided into malignant group and benign group. The clinical data of the two groups were compared. At the same time, the patients were classified according to ultrasound characteristics and O-RADS. A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was used to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of O-RADS. Background and purpose: In 2016 the National Cancer Institute (NCI) decided stopping to use NCI-60 cell lines for drug screening, suggesting that tumor cell lines were losing their value as a tool for drug discovery and basic research. The reason for NCI-60 cells 'retirement' was that the preclinical studies based on traditional cellular and animal models did not obtain the corresponding expected efficacy in clinical trials. Since the major cancer behaviors, such as proliferation and metastasis, are fundamentally altered with long-term culture, the tumor cell lines are not representative of the characteristics of cancer in patients. Currently, scientists hope to create a new cancer model that are derived from fresh patient samples and tagged with details about their clinical past. Our purpose was to create patient-derived breast cancer primary cell lines as new cancer model for drug screening and basic research. Methods: Breast cancer tissues were collected in the Department of Breast Surgery, Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University. The collection of tumor tissue samples was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University (approval number: 2022 ethics No. 313), and the collection and use of tumor tissues complied with the Declaration of Helsinki. The primary breast cancer cell lines were isolated from the patient's breast cancer tissues and cultured in BCMI medium. After the cells proliferated, the media were replaced with DEME medium. Cell line STR genotyping was done to determine cell-specific genetic markers and identification. Clone formation assay and transplantation assay were done to analyze the ability of breast cancer primary cell lines to form tumors. Results: We created 6 primary breast cancer cell lines. The 6 primary breast cancer cell lines from the patients were tagged with the definitively clinicopathological features, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic regimens, clinical effectiveness and prognostic outcomes. The STR genotyping assays identified the genetic markers and determined the identities of the 6 primary breast cancer cell lines. Clone formation assays and transplantation assay showed that the proliferative capacities of the patient-derived primary breast cancer cell lines were significantly greater compared with the conventional breast cancer cell lines. Conclusion: We created a panel of 6 patient-derived primary breast cancer cell lines as new cancer model for drug screening and basic research in breast cancer.

Background Urinary incontinence often occurs in women aged 40-60 years and contributes to a significant impact on women's physical health and quality of life. Objective To explore the prevalence and influencing factors of urinary incontinence and its impact on quality of life in women aged 40-60 years in Guizhou Province. Methods From June 2022 to January 2023, women aged 40-60 years who underwent health checkups in 10 hospitals in 7 regions of Guizhou Province were selected as the study subjects. A self-designed general data questionnaire was used to collect the basic data of the study subjects, and International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Female Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (ICIQ-FLUTS) and Incontinence Quality of Life Measure (I-QoL) were used to determine the severity of urinary incontinence and the level of quality of life of the study subjects, respectively. Different types of incontinence, including stress incontinence, urge incontinence, and mixed incontinence, were determined according to the diagnostic criteria established by the International Continence Society (ICS). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of urinary incontinence, and explore the effects of different types and severity levels of urinary incontinence on patients' quality of life. Results A total of 3 000 questionnaires were distributed, and 2 966 valid questionnaires were collected, with a valid recovery rate of 98.9%. The prevalence of urinary incontinence among the 2 966 study subjects was 33.4% (991/2 966), including 20.1% (596/2 966) for stress incontinence, 2.0% (58/2 966) for urge incontinence, and 11.4% (337/2 966) for mixed incontinence. Silver plating can be divided into replacement plating and electroplating.In order to compare the corrosion resistance and galvanic corrosion behavior of coatings prepared by these two methods，the corrosion resistance and galvanic corrosion behaviors of the ZHL-02 replacement plating and ZHL-02 electroplating coatings in cyanide-free silver plating process using 5，5-dimethylamide as the main complexing agent were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy，XRD，electrochemical workstation，Tafel curve and galvanic corrosion methods.Results showed that the replacement coating had better crystallization and more complete coverage，and its resistance to galvanic corrosion was slightly better than that of the electroplating coating under the same thickness.With the prolongation of replacement silver plating time，the self-corrosion rate of the coating gradually decreased.However，the replacement plating took a long time，and it was difficult to obtain a thickness of more than 1 μm，which limited its application to a certain extent.Compared with replacement plating，the plating speed of electroplating was much faster，the silver coating ＞2.4 μm could be obtained for 5 min.As the extension of electroplating time，larger particles would appear in the silver coating，forming defective structures such as tiny pores.When the electroplating silver times were 1，2，and 5 min，the corresponding self-corrosion rates were 7.15×10-3，5.30×10-3 and 4.27×10-3 mm/a respectively.Besides，when the electroplating time was extended from 1 min to 2 min and then to 5 min，the average galvanic corrosion rate of the coating decreased first and then increased.

Pharmaceuticals and personal care products (PPCPs) have received extensive attention as a new type of pollutant inin the 21st century, and the ecological and health risks caused by PPCPs have gradually been recognized by government regulatory agencies. Daily use of PPCPs has led to their frequent detection and high concentrations in the influent, effluent, and sludge of wastewater treatment plants, but traditional wastewater treatment processes can't remove them effectively. Most research about enhancing the removal of PPCPs through microbial degradation, photodegradation, and ozonation is still in the laboratory research stage, and the removal effects are not satisfactory when applied to actual sewage treatment. Therefore, the effective removal of PPCPs from domestic wastewater is a critical technical problem that urgently needs to be studied and solved in the coming years. At present, many scholars do not have a comprehensive understanding about the degradation and transformation behaviors of microbes, ultraviolet, and ozone for typical PPCPs in the wastewater treatment process, so it is necessary to conduct a systematic analysis and discussion. In this study, 16 typical PPCPs frequently detected in sewage treatment plants were selected as research objects through a literature review. The occurrence, removal characteristics, and sludge adsorption properties of typical PPCPs in wastewater treatment plants were analyzed and summarized. The degradation and transformation behavior of typical PPCPs under microbial, ultraviolet, and ozone treatments in the wastewater treatment process were also discussed. Finally, based on current research gaps, some research directions for the removal and transformation of PPCPs in wastewater were proposed:① investigation into the removal characteristics of PPCPs by actual biochemical treatment; ② study on the mechanism of microbial degradation and transformation of typical PPCPs during biochemical treatment; ③ study on the degradation and transformation mechanism of typical PPCPs by UV/ozone in an actual sewage system; and ④ research on the application technology of removing PPCPs from sewage via microbial degradation, photodegradation, ozone oxidation, etc. The relevant results of this study can provide a reference for the pollution control of typical PPCPs in the sewage treatment process.

Ceria nanoparticles (CeO 2 NPs) have become popular materials in biomedical and industrial fields due to their potential applications in anti-oxidation, cancer therapy, photocatalytic degradation of pollutants, sensors, etc. Many methods, including gas phase, solid phase, liquid phase, and the newly proposed green synthesis method, have been reported for the synthesis of CeO 2 NPs. Due to the wide application of CeO 2 NPs, concerns about their adverse impacts on human health have been raised. This review covers recent studies on the biomedical applications of CeO 2 NPs, including their use in the treatment of various diseases (e.‍g., Alzheimer's disease, ischemic stroke, retinal damage, chronic inflammation, and cancer). CeO 2 NP toxicity is discussed in terms of the different systems of the human body (e.‍g., cytotoxicity, genotoxicity, respiratory toxicity, neurotoxicity, and hepatotoxicity). This comprehensive review covers both fundamental discoveries and exploratory progress in CeO 2 NP research that may lead to practical developments in the future.

Exploring the spatial distribution of land use/coverage (LUCC) and ecosystem carbon reserves in the future of climate change can provide a scientific basis for optimizing the distribution of land resources and formulating social economic sustainable development policies. In this study, we integrated the plaques generating land use simulation (PLUS) model and ecosystem services and weighing comprehensive evaluation (InVEST) model. Based on the CMIP6-based sharing socio-economic path and representative concentration path (SSP-RCP), we evaluated the Loess Plateau for time and space dynamic changes in LUCC and ecosystem carbon reserves, analyzed the impact of driving factors on different regions, and explored the correlation between carbon reserves in various regions. The results showed:① In the future, the three scenarios were similar to the LUCC changes. The area of cultivated land, grassland, and unused land would be reduced to varying degrees, and the construction land had expanded sharply. The increase in the three scenarios was 29.23%-53.56% (SSP126), 34.59%-63.28% (SSP245), and 42.80%-73.27% (SSP585). ② Compared with that in 2020, the carbon reserves of SSP126 sites in 2040 increased by 1.813 8×10 6 t, and in the remaining scenarios it would continue to decline. By 2060, the grassland carbon reserves in the three scenarios decreased by 13.391×10 6 , 33.548×10 6 , and 85.871×10 6 t, respectively. ③ From the perspective of space correlation, the carbon reserves of the Loess Plateau were correlated between cities. The difference in future scenarios was not significant. The hotspots were distributed in the middle and north of the research area. There was no obvious cold spot area. ④ The changes in land use were predicted to increase or lose carbon reserves. Forestry, cultivated land, and grassland had more carbon reserves those in than other land types. Increasing their area and restrictions on the conversion of other land types should increase the ecosystem carbon reserves.

Objective To investigate the effect of lysine 27 residue of histone H3 (H3K27) acetylation modification on the transcriptional promotion of long noncoding RNA OPA interacting protein 5-antisense RNA 1 (lncRNA OIP5-AS1) and apoptosis of nasal epithelial cells (NECs) in allergic rhinitis (AR) via regulating Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). Methods Interleukin-13 (IL-13) was used to treat NECs to establish an AR cell model. Real-time quantitative PCR was utilized to detect the expressions of OIP5-AS1 and TLR4 in nasal mucosal tissues of AR patients and in the in vitro cell model. The concentrations of macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), eotaxin-1, and mucin 5AC (MUC5AC) were detected by ELISA. The apoptosis of NECs was determined by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling (TUNEL). A dual-luciferase report experiment was carried out to verify the relationship between OIP5-AS1 and TLR4. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay was performed to verify H3K27 acetylation of histones in the OIP5-AS1 promoter region. Results Compared with healthy controls and untreated NECs, OIP5-AS1 and TLR4 were both up-regulated in nasal mucosal tissues from AR patients and IL-13-stimulated NECs. Knockdown of OIP5-AS1 decreased the level of TLR4 in IL-13-treated NECs, while overexpression of OIP5-AS1 increased the level of TLR4. Inhibition of OIP5-AS1 reduced the apoptosis rate, and inhibited the secretion of GM-CSF, eotaxin-1, and MUC5AC from IL-13-treated NECs, while overexpression of TLR4 partially reversed the effects of OIP5-AS1 knockdown on NEC apoptosis and the secretion of GM-CSF, eotaxin-1, and MUC5AC. In addition, H3K27 acetylation was markedly enriched in the promoter region of OIP5-AS1, and H3K27 acetylation promoted the expression of OIP5-AS1 in IL-13-treated NECs. Conclusion H3K27 acetylation promotes OIP5-AS1 transcription and induces NEC apoptosis in AR via upregulation of TLR4.

Red blood cells (RBCs) are the primary mediators of oxygen transport in the human body, and their function is mainly achieved through conformational changes of hemoglobin (Hb). Hb is a tetramer composed of four subunits, with HbA being the predominant Hb in healthy adults, existing in two forms: tense state (T state) and relaxed state (R state). Endogenous regulators of Hb conformation include 2,3-diphosphoglyceric acid, carbon dioxide, protons, and chloride ions, while exogenous regulators include inositol hexaphosphate, inositol tripyrophosphate, benzabate, urea derivative L35, and vanillin, each with different mechanisms of action. The application of Hb conformational regulators provides new insights into the study of hypoxia oxygen supply issues and the treatment of sickle cell disease.
