With the population aging in China, the prevalence and mortality rate of Alzheimer's disease (AD) have been rising in China. AD has become one of the major threats to people's health and social sustainable development. In order to support the Healthy China Initiative and promote health in China, "Chinese Alzheimer's Disease Blue Book (Simplified Edition)"(refer to as the Blue Book) was compiled by experts and scholars from the National Center for Neurological Disorders, Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University; the National Center for Chronic and Noncommunicable Disease Control and Prevention, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention; the National Health Commission Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center; and the China Population and Development Research Center. The epidemiological characteristics, diagnosis and treatment status, prevention and treatment management of AD and related cognitive disorders in China were systematically reviewed in the Blue Paper, aiming to provide references for the prevention of AD, provide support for the standardized diagnosis and treatment of the disease, and provide a reference for the government to formulate relevant health policies. Specifically, the Blue Book covers the following topics of AD and related cognitive disorders: (1)epidemiology characteristics; (2)economic burden; (3)influencing factors; (4)China Brain Cognitive Health Index; (5) diagnosis status; (6)treatment status; (7)construction of national center for cognitive disorders;(8)community-based prevention and control; (9) AD patients care; (10)public health resources for prevention and control.

Objective: To analyze the characteristics of highly-cited papers in Chinese Journal of Epidemiology from 2020 to 2023, and provide a basis for subsequent paper solicitation and identify research hotspots. Methods: On December 9, 2023, the citation frequency of each paper in Chinese Journal of Epidemiology from 2020 to 2023 was obtained from China National Knowledge Infrastructure. The total citation frequency of each paper was sorted using Excel 2016 software, and papers with citation frequency ≥30 were extracted for analysis. The keywords of the papers and Contents in Brief were analyzed. Results: A total of 1 317 papers were included in the analysis, of which 389, 342, 308 and 278 papers were included from 2020 to 2023. The total citation frequency was 11 873, and all papers were cited with an average citation frequency of 9. The keywords with high citation frequency in the papers included 2019-nCoV, hypertension, colorectal tumor, hand-foot-mouth disease, hepatitis B. and the average frequency of citation were 162, 77, 62, 51 and 47, respectively. There were 15 highly cited Contents in Brief in total, 11 of which are vital Contents in Brief or unique Contents in Brief, including Response to COVID-19 Epidemic, China Kadoorie Biobank, Epidemiological Research on Infectious Diseases, Healthy Ageing, Colorectal Cancer Prevention and Control, Prevention and Control of Hepatitis B, Quality Assessment of Cancer Screening Guidelines and Consensus, The 40 th Anniversary of Chinese Journal of Epidemiology , Expert Forum, Review, Standard-Protocol-Guide. The total citation frequency was 3 951, accounting for 72.6% (3 951/5 438) of highly cited papers. Conclusions: In the past four years, the highly cited papers of this journal mainly focused on the research field of emerging infectious diseases and chronic diseases. The response to the 2019-nCoV epidemic highlights the academic leading role. The effect of selecting and planning a topic, commissioning authors to write on given topics and making an arrangement in advance with a subject for contribution to vital Contents in Brief or unique Contents in Brief of this journal is pronounced, and the academic influence of the journal continues to improve.

Based on the monthly data of 132 fattening feed prices for mutton sheep from January 2012 to December 2022, this paper selects soybean meal price, wheat bran price, mutton price, and natural disaster risk index as explanatory variables to analyze the influencing factors of fattening feed price fluctuation for mutton sheep in China. The results showed that the price of soybean meal had a significant impact on fattening feed of mutton sheep through an internal transmission mechanism. Natural disasters had obvious influence on the fluctuation of fattening feed price of mutton sheep through external impact mechanism. The fattening feed price of early mutton sheep had a significant impact on the fattening feed price of late mutton sheep. The study indicates that the conclusion of this paper can provide a reference for maintaining the long-term stability of fattening feed price of mutton sheep. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As a fundamental factor driving economic growth, natural capital plays a key role in sustainable development. This paper incorporates various economic growth proxy variables into the MRW model and uses the BMA method to tackle the uncertainty issue of the model. Based on China's provincial-level panel data, this paper examines the impact of renewable natural capital and non-renewable natural capital on the country's economic growth and then carries out multiple mechanism analysis with the CART algorithm. The main findings are: 1 Natural capital has a significant deep impact on China's economic growth in models incorporating proximate and fundamental theories, and the direction of natural capital's impact varies with proxy indicators, which shows a significant 'Curse' effect of dependence and a 'Blessing' effect of abundance. This panoramic perspective can reconcile the serious disagreement on 'Resource Curse' among the literature. 2 The effects of renewable natural capital are in line with the 'Resource neutral' hypothesis, while nonrenewable natural capital has a stronger impact on economic growth in terms of both the 'Curse' effect of dependence and the 'Blessing' effect of abundance, and the overall effect on economic growth depends on patterns of resource use. 3 Under high physical capital accumulation, natural capital has a more fundamental impact on economic growth, and the 'Blessing' effect of abundance has been significantly enhanced. Based on their resource endowments and economic development levels, all provinces should reinvest natural resource rents in national wealth to mitigate the 'Resource Curse' through effective protection of natural capital and compensation from reinvestment. American poetry was firstly and sporadically translated and introduced to China in the late 19th century, and an obvious increase in amount did not happen until the May Fourth Movement period. This paper presents a review of the history of the translation and study of American poetry since the May Fourth Movement, with its emphasis on the period since the opening-up of China, and believes that the 100 years' history witnesses Chinese academia's imitating and absorbing in the May Fourth Movement period, learning and growing in the late 20th century, borrowing and dialoging in the opening of the 21st century, and equally exchanging and independently innovating in the New Era. This paper reveals the scholarly tradition of China's translation and study of American poetry for its own use on the one hand, and the cultural selfconfidence and spirit of independent innovation of Chinese scholarship in the New Era. [Objective] Globally, biobanks have become an essential tool for the protection and development of human genetic resources, and their development has played a very pivotal role in promoting basic research in life sciences and clinical diagnosis and treatment of major diseases. High-quality and standardized biobanks have become essential for basic research, translational clinical medicine research, and the implementation of precision medicine strategies. Recently, China has established some national or regional alliance-level biobanks; however, the issue of sharing mechanisms has always been a long-term factor restricting the full utilization of biological resources. There are a few examples of colleges and universities coordinating resources to promote the construction of school-level biobanks. [Methods] Herein, the focus is on constructing biobanks in medical colleges and universities in China, analyzing the difficulties and bottlenecks in sharing, and corresponding optimization policy references are proposed. The research methods employed are literature review, typical case analysis, survey questionnaire, and in-depth interviews, among others, to conduct multichannel and all-around research on the problem. [Results] Based on the literature survey, this paper summarizes the problems hindering biobank sharing into internal construction systems, external institutional management, and ethical issues, such as imperfect sample quality standardization and information access, informed consent, benefit sharing, and other specific issues. Through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and in-depth interviews, the results reveal that insufficient willingness to share, incomplete information disclosure, unclear benefit-sharing mechanism, lack of standardization of sample and information quality, and ethical concerns are the prominent problems hindering sharing. The relatively successful mechanism of the international and domestic representative biobanks in promoting sharing includes the formulation and implementation of unified biobank construction standards and norms, establishment of public and open information platforms, standardization of sharing rules and processes, benefit-sharing and distribution mechanism, and full implementation of scientific and reasonable ethical principles. [Conclusion] By referring to international and domestic successful cases while considering the advantages and foundations of medical colleges and universities, this paper proposes the following suggestions for biobank construction in medical colleges and universities. First, it is crucial to strengthen the top-level design and to create a "centralized and disaggregated" biological sample storage platform and network-sharing platform. Second, it is necessary to continuously strengthen the scientific construction of biological sample banks, promote the standardization of biological sample bank technology, boost the strength of professional management teams, and pay great attention to the disciplinary construction of biobanks. Third, strengthening the construction of the ethical governance system and ensuring reasonable informed consent and data security are important measures to promote effective data sharing while ensuring data privacy. Last, drawing on agreements signed by both parties for sample and data sharing, it is essential to establish the life cycle of research result data, constantly improve the sharing management mechanism, and innovate the benefit-sharing model. Existing studies have clearly demonstrated that people eating more whole grains have reduced risks of many chronic metabolic diseases compared to those eating less. In the past 20 years, the whole grain industry has developed so rapidly in major developed countries and regions. In recent years, whole grains have also attracted extensive attention in our country. The research and development efforts of the whole grain standards in China have been strengthened. This paper introduced the progress of the global definition consensus of whole grain and whole grain food, summarized the international development status of whole grain raw materials and whole grain food related standards in many countries and institutions, such as the Working Group of ISO Whole Grain, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Codex Alimentarius Commission, and so on. This paper also reviewed the present situation of definition of the whole grain and whole grain food related standards in China. More than 20 relevant raw materials, food related standards and production technical regulations and the publishment situation of other whole grain standards in China, including national standards and industry standards and local standards and group standards, were summarized, and some whole grain related standards under formulation were also introduced. Finally, the paper puts forward the development direction and suggestions for the construction of whole grain standard system in China, including fully combining with the actual production situation of China's whole grain food industry, integrating with international standards, and combining standard testing and certification. On the whole, the gradual improvement of the standard system of the whole grain food industry will help guide and regulate the high-quality and healthy development of the whole grain industry in China, and promote the creation of a diversified and healthy grain food ecology, and provide a technical basis for the development of the whole grain industry. Understanding consumers' perceptions and choices about the quality and safety of livestock products is of great significance to effectively convey quality and safety information from the supply side, deepen the supply-side structural reform of the livestock industry and promote its development. Based on a systematic review of relevant progress, this paper summarized consumers' concerns, understanding, preference, evaluation, willingness to pay, and purchasing behavior to the quality and safety of livestock products. The analysis indicated that Chinese consumers had a high level of concern for the quality and safety of livestock products, but a low level of understanding, and their evaluation on the quality and safety of livestock products was not optimistic. Although consumers were willing to pay a premium for high quality and safety livestock products, there was a deviation between the needs and preferences of consumers and their actual behavioural choices. Consumers' socio-demographic characteristics, as well as their perception and evaluation on the quality and safety of livestock products and their trust in the agricultural certification system, were important factors influencing consumers' willingness to pay and their behavioural choices. This paper also pointed out that with China entering a new era of socialism, there had been significant changes in the consumption environment and demands. In recent years, there had been a relative lack of research into consumers' perceptions and behavioural choices about the quality and safety of livestock products, requiring new research and judgement to provide support for government to manage and guide industry production and consumption, as well as supply-side operators to correctly understand and match consumer preferences. In order to sort out the research process and hotspots of honey safety, this paper was based on the China national knowledge infrastructure (CNKI) database and the Web of Science (WOS) core collection, utilizing CiteSpace software to analyze and visualize publication trends, journals, authors, institutions, countries (regions), keywords, and other relevant information. The aforementioned databases yielded a total of 169 Chinese and 281 English literatures. The analysis revealed that the number of publications in Chinese literature on honey safety had been steadily increasing since 2011. The number of publications in English literature had displayed an oscillating upward trend since 2007, with a higher volume of publications in English literature over the past fifteen years compared to Chinese literature. ZHANG Q and GUNDUZ A were the most prolific authors in Chinese and English literature, respectively. While there were established cooperative relationships between researchers in both fields, collaborations between different groups remained relatively limited. Journal of Bee and Food Chemistry were the leading journals for publications on honey safety in English and Chinese, respectively. Both English and Chinese publishing journals primarily focused on the food industry. Yunnan Province Center for Disease Control and Prevention and Karadeniz Technical University were the research institutions with the highest publication output in Chinese and English, respectively. However, there was limited collaboration between research institutes in China. Turkey was the most influential country among the study countries (regions), followed by China, Poland, and New Zealand. During the initial stages of research, Chinese literature primarily explored topics such as "botulinum toxin" "pollen plants" "Triperygium wilfordii Hook. f." and "honey poisoning". However, after 2000, advancements in technologies such as chromatography, spectroscopy, and scanning electron microscopy led to the emergence of new keywords like "melissopalynology" and "gas chromatography". Consequently, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, liquid-mass spectrometry, and scanning electron microscopy gained popularity as methods for detecting honey safety in research. During the early stages of research, English literature primarily delved into topics such as "pyrrolizidine alkaloids" "mad honey" "grayanotoxin" and "natural toxicants". This indicates that during this time, the primary emphasis was on studying toxic honey and natural toxins found in honey, specifically pyrrolizidine alkaloids and grayanotoxin. As technologies such as chromatography advanced, keywords like "mass spectrometry" began to emerge. It could be seen that the research in Chinese and English literature was focused on similar topics, such as toxic honey, honey poisoning, and the detection and tracing of toxic components in honey. However, there were slight differences in emphasis. In China, the main toxic nectar plants were Triperygium wilfordii Hook. f., Gelsemium elegans (Gardn. & Champ.) Benth. and Macleaya cordata (Willd.) R. Br., while the main toxic components detected in honey were triptolide and koumine. In foreign countries, honey poisoning incidents were mostly caused by grayanotoxin, pyrrolizidine alkaloids or tutin. As one of the earliest and most renowned scholars engaging in the study of foreign literature in China since the reform and opening-up, Wang Shouren has achieved fruitful results in the translation and research of foreign literature, with particularly notable accomplishments in the field of American literature translation and research. Starting with a comprehensive understanding of literary traditions, he has examined Eastern and Western cultures on the foundation of inheriting the achievements of his predecessors, explored the path of American literature research, and carved out an innovative academic route. Wang Shouren stands at the forefront of reinterpreting the works of classic writers, like Henry David Thoreau and Willa Cather, while also dedicating attention to modern American writers such as Toni Morrison. His work is centered on uncovering fresh interpretations and insights into literary themes. Moreover, he broadens the scope of his research to encompass American ethnic literature, exploring both its scholarly importance and practical relevance. Wang Shouren's investigations into the history of American literature and its criticism are characterized by a unique approach that blends critique with historical context, aiming to rejuvenate academic traditions. His efforts in developing a framework for an independent body of knowledge of American literature studies with distinct Chinese-Characteristic are visionary. This approach not only integrates Chinese and Western perspectives but also amplifies the Chinese voice, elucidates Chinese features, and effectively represents China's image on the global stage. This paper begins with the context of a hundred years of translation and research of American literature in China, attempting to comprehensively discuss Wang Shouren's academic contributions to the construction of a Chinese-characteristic body of knowledge of American literature, in the hope of providing useful inspiration for the current construction of an independent body of knowledge regarding American literature research in China. Antibiotics have fundamentally transformed veterinary and human medicine, being considered as one of the greatest scientific discoveries of the 20th Century. However, due to the environmental persistence and resistance, they have become one of the newly recognized pollutants of widespread concern. In this paper, 23 publications related to antibiotic water quality criteria published before December 31, 2023 were collected through systematic search in CNKI, Wanfang and Web of Science databases. On this basis, we outlined the research status of antibiotic water quality criteria, compared the results of criteria derivation and the toxicity data used, and proposed directions and considerations for future research. The main research conclusions are as follows: Regarding the research subjects, a total of 34 antibiotics water quality criteria for freshwater organisms have been derived, while over 80.00% of antibiotics still require further related studies. It is suggested to prioritize azithromycin, clarithromycin, and levofloxacin for subsequent research. Regarding the highest frequency of antibiotic water quality criteria was obtained using the species sensitivity distribution method (SSD method) and the assessment factor method (AF method), accounting for 48.78% and 3333%, respectively. The antibiotic water quality criteria obtained from the SSD method and the toxicity percentage ranking method (TPR method) are relatively close; hence, the SSD method is recommended as a priority. Regarding toxicity data, algae, invertebrates, and fish are the three most commonly used aquatic organisms for antibiotic toxicity testing. However, the frequency of using fish toxicity data in the derivation of short-term water quality criteria (SWQC) is less than that for long-term water quality criteria (LWQC). There is a noticeable shortage of invertebrate toxicity data used in LWQC derivation compared to SWQC derivation. Therefore, it is recommended to strengthen research on the acute toxicity of fish and the chronic toxicity of invertebrates in the derivation of water quality criteria. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The consumption of bisphenol A (BPA) in China has been steadily increasing as a popular plastic additive. However, it is also recognized as a typical environmental endocrine disruptor. Even at low concentrations, prolonged exposure to BPA can lead to neurotoxicity, liver toxicity, reproductive toxicity, immunotoxicity and other adverse effects, contributing to various diseases such as diabetes, inflammation, obesity, anxiety, depression and even cancer. In recent years, BPA has been detected in various environmental water bodies in China due to water pollution caused by industrial development and plastic waste discharge. Furthermore, the level of BPA exposure in each water sample varies depending on geographic regions, seasonal temperature variations, and other factors. This paper presents the latest research advancements in understanding the multiple toxic effects and strategies for mitigating the toxicity of BPA. It also provides a comprehensive summary of BPA pollution levels in various environmental water bodies in China over the past decade, along with an analysis and discussion of influencing factors. [Objective] The Grand Canal is a complex hydraulic project in the eastern China. This paper studies the flooding and its detrimental impacts in the lowland areas of the canal. [Method] The research was conducted in the Pichang-Tanxin Plain, using multi-source remote sensing data and ground surveys to analyze flooding events. We calculated the normalized difference water body index (NDWI) and the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) before and after flooding to assess flood severity, impact on crop growth, as well as the efficacy of hydraulic facilities in mitigating flooding effects. [Result] The NDVI difference between 2004 and 2005 for crops in flooded and non-flooded areas was 0.5 and 0.25, respectively, indicating floodings detrimentally affected crop growth and development. NDWI analysis from 2003 to 2017 demonstrated that the Taierzhuang Control Gate project mitigated flooding impacts on nearby farmlands. Flooding also affected crops in non-inundated regions, with lowland crops more adversely impacted than those outside lowlands. The hydraulic facilities significantly reduced economic losses caused by flooding. [Conclusion] Remote sensing is an effective tool for monitoring inundated areas and assessing the consequences of flooding on crops. [Objective] Winter wheat in Northern China is often rotated with other crops which are expected to have a legacy effect. This paper aims to study the effect of different tillage and preceding crops on soil nutrients, yield and water use efficiency of the winter wheat. [Method] The field experiment consisted of a rotary tillage (RT) and a no-tillage (NT). The preceding crops for each tillage were corn (MW) or soybean (SW). During the experiment, we measured the changes in soil nutrients, soil water content, water and fertilizer use efficiency, and yield of the wheat. [Result] For the same preceding crop, non-tillage increased soil water content compared to rotary tillage; under the same tillage, soil water content with maize as the preceding crop was higher than that with soybean as the preceding crop. In all treatments, soil nutrients decreased with soil depth. In the 0-50 cm soil layer, NTSW increased soil organic carbon, soil total nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen by 4.14%-13.54%, 35.51%-54.44% and 55.75%-112%, respectively, compared to the RTMW. RTMW had the highest available phosphorus and potassium in the 10-50 cm soil layer. The RTSW had the highest ammonium nitrogen in the 0-50 cm soil layer, 13.39%-20.64% more than that in the RTMW. The winter wheat in NTSW had the highest spike numbers, spikelet numbers, thousand-grain weight; and its grain yield was 16.62% higher than that of RTMW. The NTSW had the highest water use efficiency, 8.67% more than that of RTMW. The NTSW had the highest nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium use efficiency. [Conclusion] The NTSW facilitated nutrient accumulation in the winter wheat field. It had the highest water and fertilizer use efficiency and increased grain yields the most as a result. At present, the ZPW-2000 integrated track circuits with the same standard as those used in the sections are widely used in China's high-speed railway stations, and the platform tracks in some stations adopt one-section track circuits. When the train is received at the station, the sending end of the track circuit of the platform track will face the train and send codes to provide trackside information for the train. If the train comes to a complete stop at the station and changes its direction by activating the cab on the intended end, when the starting signal is not at clear, the train may mistakenly receive the information sent by the track circuit of the adjacent line, and the train will depart from the station incorrectly, resulting in safety problems. In this paper, the method of adding an external relay circuit is proposed, and the timing of the train entering and leaving the platform track is determined by the circuit logic, and the concrete measure for applying train tail complementary code is provided, so that the double-end code sending can be realized after the train enters the track to solve the aforementioned problems. This solution only adds a small number of relays indoors, has no outdoor workload, does not need to change the train control software, and can be adapted to suit individual platform tracks of the station. The adaptation process is easy to implement and has minimal impact on transportation. This scheme can provide reference for the solution of safety protection enhancement for platform tracks equipped with integrated track circuits in high-speed railway stations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To analyze the research status and development trend of ionic liquids toxicology, VOSviewer and HistCite software were used to visually analyze the countries, institutions, authors, keywords, etc. of 1 178 ionic liquids toxicology related to literatures in the Web of Science core database from 2000 to 2021. The results show that: the number of literatures in the field of ionic liquids toxicology is increasing year by year, and China is far ahead of other countries in both the number of papers published and the total citation score. At present, the paper is mainly based on team cooperation within institutions, with strong independence. Although Chinese institutions and authors rank higher in the number of papers published, their total local citation score is not outstanding. The main focus of research in ionic liquids toxicology is imidazolium. The research focuses on the evaluation of lethality and composition changes in organisms, and the construction of structure-activity relationship models between ionic liquids and organisms. The completed bridge alignment of super long-span railway bridges is prone to large deviation from the design alignment, which leads to the unrealization of the original rail surface design alignment, and it is usually necessary to change the rail surface alignment on the basis of the completed bridge alignment. In order to ensure that the changed rail surface alignment meets the requirements of train operation performance, it is particularly important to reasonably evaluate the completed bridge alignment of long-span railway bridges before laying the track. In this paper, the characteristics of the measured completed bridge alignment of a long-span railway bridge in China are analyzed. Combined with the adjustable capacity of ballast bed on the bridge, an evaluation method of completed bridge alignment of long-span railway bridges based on riding quality is proposed, and the amplitude of completed bridge alignment within the sensitive wavelength range of the vehicle body is taken as the evaluation index. Firstly, according to the evaluation principle that the vertical acceleration of vehicle body caused by line random irregularity, additional deformation of bridge under external loads and rail surface alignment does not exceed level I management standard, the maximum acceleration caused by rail surface alignment within the sensitive wavelength range of vehicle body is determined. Then the correlation between vertical acceleration of vehicle body and chord measurement amplitude, and the correlation between chord measurement amplitude and linear amplitude are studied to determine the maximum amplitude of rail surface alignment within the sensitive wavelength range of vehicle body. Finally, by deducing the correspondence between rail surface alignment amplitude and completed bridge alignment amplitude within the sensitive wavelength range of the vehicle body, the limit value of the evaluation index is formulated. Taking a kilometer-level suspension bridge in China as an example, the limit value of the evaluation index is determined to be 58 mm according to the method of this paper. The maximum value of the measured completed bridge alignment within the sensitive wavelength range of the vehicle body of this bridge is 36 mm, which does not exceed the limit value, indicating that the control effect of the completed bridge alignment is good, and on the premise of meeting the requirements of ballast bed thickness, the rail surface alignment which meets the riding quality can be laid on the basis of the completed bridge alignment. Scientifically characterizing the intrinsic mechanism of the biased reduction targets affecting agricultural green innovation is of great practical significance for the systematic promotion of the greening transformation of China's agricultural development mode. This paper first constructed a two-sector endogenous economic growth model, theoretically deducing the intrinsic mechanism by which the bias reduction targets were adjusted through the green transformation of agricultural production input factors, which in turn affected the research and development decision-making of the agricultural innovation sector. To the end, this paper treated the strategy of zero growth in synthetic fertilizer use (ZGS) implemented in 2015 as a policy shock and empirically assessed its green innovation effect using the staggered difference-in-differences model. The results showed that ZGS significantly contributed to the increase of green patents in Chinese agriculture. The above conclusion still held after a series of robustness tests, including using terrain complexity as an instrumental variable, estimating the robust staggered difference-in-differences model, eliminating policy interference, altering the estimated model, and replacing the explanatory variables. However, the obvious regional heterogeneity of this effect was reported: the higher the level of marketization and digitalization, the fuller the release of this innovation effect; and that ZGS was more significant in inducing the green innovation activities of enterprises and individuals than of innovation bodies such as universities and research institutions. Finally, this paper also empirically tested the two paths of the theoretical model about the green innovation effect triggered by the biased reduction targets. The study confirmed that the green innovation effect of ZGS mainly resulted from two channels: the expansion of the market scale for agricultural green technologies and the green-oriented allocation of innovation resources. The above conclusions imply that it is necessary to create a sound innovation ecology by strengthening the innovation of green science and technology institutions and combining active government with an effective market. Particularly, a portfolio of policy instruments, including the fiscal, taxation, financial, investment, price policy, and standard system concerning green technology development, should be created to guarantee green technology development. With the increasingly prominent issues of climate change and energy shortages, large-scale development of renewable and clean energy has become a common choice for countries around the world. Among them, onshore wind power plays an important role in the global energy transformation process due to its mature technology, safety, and efficiency advantages. However, because wind energy resources have the characteristics of low energy density, instability, and spatial dispersion, large-scale development of onshore wind power requires a large amount of land resources to support. To ensure the land resource demand for wind power development under the goal of 'carbon neutrality,' this paper conducted a quantitative study on the land occupation of onshore wind power in China. Firstly, based on the criterion of exclusivity, this paper reclassified the types of land occupation for wind farms from a spatio-temporal perspective. Secondly, based on the sample parameter method and the alpha shape algorithm, this paper calculated the land area of existing onshore wind farms in China categorically. Finally, considering the development trend of wind power technology, this paper systematically simulated and predicted the wind power land demand in different development scenarios under the 'carbon neutrality' goal. The results indicated that: (1) Based on the principle of exclusivity, the total land use area of wind farms could be divided into two parts in the spatial dimension: the direct impact area and the indirect impact area. The direct impact area could be divided into two parts in the temporal dimension: permanent land use and temporary land use. (2) In 2022, the land occupied by the wind turbine foundation, permanent land use, temporary land use, and direct impact area of China's onshore wind farms reached 48.28 km², 352.08 km², 1 234.86 km², and 1 638.81 km², respectively. (3) In 2022, the indirect impact area and total land use area of China's onshore wind farms reached 9.81x104 km ² and 9.99x104 km², respectively. The total land use area was almost equivalent to the total urban land use area of China. (4) Compared with the scenario of current technical level, under the scenario of technological progress and wind turbine upgradation, the various types of land use demand for wind power in China will have significantly decreased by 2060, and land use demand will have reached its peak by around 2050. The large-scale upgradation of wind turbines has great potential for saving land resources. Therefore, perfecting the land use standards of wind power construction, improving the land use efficiency of wind power development, and promoting the construction of offshore wind power are important paths for coordinating the sustainable use of wind energy resources and land resources. Clean energy transformation in major powers, especially the rapidly expanding electric vehicle and wind power industries, has sparked an increasing demand for strategic resources such as rare earths (RE). The RE industrial chain has become a focal area of geopolitical competition between China and the United States. This paper utilizes theories and methods from law and political economics, employing the classic paradigm of global governance, to examine the underlying motivations and geopolitical impacts of the United States in promoting the restructuring of the global rare earth industrial chain. Taking into account the two major characteristics of the U.S.' geopolitical strategy, namely 'controlling key industrial chains' and 'containing China with allies,' this paper reveals the underlying logic and strategic responses of significant political and economic relationships in the ongoing geopolitical competition. These relationships include the connection between the decoupling of the RE industrial chain and reconstruction of the global 'dual chain' pattern, the enactment of the 'three major acts' by the U.S., and the dominance of the global clean energy industry system, as well as the game between China and the United States as major powers and Japan's industrial security. The results show that: (1) In terms of controlling key industrial chains, the technological 'de-rare earth' initiatives of downstream enterprises are reinforcing the 'de-sinicization' strategic orientation of western governments, and vice versa. This joint effort is promoting the formation of a global strategic resource 'dual chain' pattern. (2) In terms of containing China with allies, the United States requires that Japan and other allied countries share the responsibility in geopolitical competition with China. Japan, driven by its own interests, has been deeply involved in the restructuring of the global RE industrial chain, shifting from a high dependence on Chinese RE imports to a deep participation in a new global RE industrial chain led by the U.S. (3) The promulgation of the 'three major acts' by the U S. is a strong proof of its consistent use of domestic laws to shape geopolitical relations. The underlying motivation behind this is to reshape the strategic resource industrial chain and gain control of the global clean energy transformation. In the face of escalating strategic resource competition and based upon the 'dual circulation' new development pattern, China should, on the one hand, leverage its resources and production capacity advantages in the front and middle streams of the industrial chains, leading the independent extension of the strategic resource industry chain through innovation. On the other hand, China should engage strategically and integrate global key mineral resources, develop effective countermeasures, and continuously enhance the resilience of key industrial chains such as rare earths, so as to improve the level of national strategic resource security. The satisfaction of residents plays a pivotal role in the sustainable renovation and development of old residential communities. This paper employs the neighborhood effect theory and the organic renewal theory to investigate the satisfaction of residents in the renovation of old residential communities. It employs the questionnaire survey method to collect data from residents of old residential communities in Baiyin City and analyzes the data using a structural equation model (SEM). The findings indicate that the content of the renovation, the behavior of the government, the participation of residents, and the emotion of the community have a significant positive impact on residents' satisfaction. Additionally, the behavior of the government has a significant positive impact on the content of the renovation, and the content of the renovation has a significant positive impact on the emotion of the community. The relationship between government behavior and residents' satisfaction is mediated by residents' participation and the renovation content. Similarly, the relationship between the renovation content and residents' satisfaction is mediated by community emotion and residents' participation. The extended diamond model of green building was constructed to clarify the key elements of green building industry development and the core effectiveness of government. On this basis, a two-dimensional analysis framework of green building with policy tools and life cycle was further developed, and 62 policy texts were coded and analyzed by using Nvivo12 software. It is found that the existing policy tools have limited impact on demand conditions, production factors, enterprise strategies and supporting industries. According to the results, this paper provides the following advice: expand the use of policies in the operation and maintenance phase, increase incentives on the demand side, improve the supply capacity and quality of production factors, pay attention to talent training and enterprise capacity building, improve the overall process precision control system, increase financial incentives for enterprises, implement technological innovation support, and improve the policy system of the whole industry chain. Under the background of poor plantation forests, shortage of timber resources, and rich bamboo resources in China, as a kind of biomass engineering material, laminated veneer lumber (LVL) has the advantage of efficiently utilizing the existing resources. Due to its excellent mechanical properties, it can realize the standardization and serialization of the production of other characteristics, and has shown a broad application prospect. Combined with the development of China's wood-based panel industry, this paper outlined the origin and development of LVL, focused on analyzing the structural characteristics of LVL from the perspective of composite mechanics, and introduced the characteristics of veneer grading and LVL billeting. Moreover, the two types of LVL reinforcement methods, namely, phenolic resin impregnation and composite of fiber materials were summarized. Finally, the evaluation standards of LVL at home and abroad were compared and discussed, and a number of suggestions were then put forward based on the current situation of the development of China's wood construction industry and the problems existing in the application process of LVL. Droughts are increasing in frequency and intensity as the global climate changes. Risk assessment for agricultural drought disasters is an important approach for disaster prevention and mitigation. Based on the formation mechanism of natural disaster risk, the index system model of agricultural drought risk assessment in North China was constructed, and the robustness of the established risk assessment model was tested by using the internal test method. Then based on the characteristics of agricultural drought risk formation in North China, the paper proposes corresponding risk prevention recommendations. The conclusions were as follows: when adjusting the indices and methods in the risk assessment model, the range of changes in the agricultural drought risk ranking for each city was mostly 1-2.5 places, and the model was relatively robust. With the exception of Beijing and Tianjin, which had the highest disaster prevention and mitigation capacity, central and northern China had the highest agricultural drought risk, which was previously linked to the high risk and vulnerability of these regions. The agricultural drought risk in northern Henan and southern Shandong is low, mainly due to the low risk. The 34 cities in North China can be divided into 6 agricultural drought risk clusters, which are not dispersed in space and cross-city distribution, and have good aggregation. Cluster 4, located in the northernmost mountainous areas, has the highest risk of drought, which is associated with high environmental vulnerability and low capacity for disaster prevention and mitigation, so agricultural areas should be reduced and agricultural input should be increased. Clusters 2, 5 and 6, located in the central and southern regions, have higher grain acreage and yields due to drought, so agricultural drought risk can be further reduced by increasing agricultural input and improving irrigation guarantee rate. Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2008 to 2022, this paper uses geographical concentration degree and spatial Gini coefficient to explore the spatial agglomeration characteristics of Chinese livestock modernization development, and uses a spatial econometric model to analyze the influencing factors of Chinese livestock modernization development. The results show that the modernization development of animal husbandry in China from 2008 to 2022 has a strong spatial agglomeration effect, which is manifested as the stage characteristics of 'decentralization- agglomeration-decentralization'. The Moran's index of Chinese animal husbandry modernization from 2008 to 2022 is significantly positive, indicating that Chinese animal husbandry modernization has an obvious spatial positive correlation. The number of animal husbandry employees, mechanization level, and per capita consumption of meat, egg and milk have significant positive effects on the modernization of animal husbandry in China. The water consumption of animal husbandry, urbanization rate, and density of transportation network have no significant influence on the modernization of animal husbandry. The spatial effect decomposition results showed that the number of livestock practitioners, mechanization level and per capita consumption of meat, egg, and milk also have significant positive effects on the modernization of Chinese livestock industry in neighboring areas. In recent years, the scale of poultry breeding in China is gradually expanding, and the demand for feed raw materials is also rising. At present, the poultry industry is facing the problem of shortage of protein feed resources, so it is urgent to find high-quality and sustainable protein feed raw materials. The edible insect black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens L., BSF) has become a potential sustainable new protein feed, which can replace traditional protein feed materials such as soybean meal and fish meal. BSF is a saprophytic insect, which mainly feeds on organic waste, and has the characteristics of rapid growth and reproduction, extensive feeding and high feed conversion rate. The larvae or pre-pupae of BSF are rich in protein, fat, minerals, and trace elements, and their content of essential amino acids is comparable to that of fish meal and soybean meal. They also contain bioactive substances such as lauric acid, antimicrobial peptides, and chitin. Based on the nutritional characteristics of BSF larvae and processed products, this paper reviewed the research progress of BSF in poultry breeding, in order to provide a reference for the wide application of BSF in poultry production. Plant polysaccharides play an important role in replacing antibiotics. Plant polysaccharides exist in the leaves, flowers, roots, stems, and fruits of plants. They are macromolecular polymers that connect various monosaccharides by glycosidic bonds. Plant polysaccharides have the advantages of safety, high efficiency, low residue and no drug resistance. In order to ensure the reasonable and stable price of beef and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the beef market, based on the monthly data of Chinese livestock industry from December 2011 to December 2022, the paper selects corn price, producer expectation, calf price, and national policy to build a VAR model from the perspective of internal transmission and external impact, and empirically tests the influencing factors and degree of beef price fluctuation in China. The results show that corn prices, producer expectations, calf prices, and national policies can affect beef prices. Among them, the corn price has a significant impact on the fluctuation of beef price through the internal transmission mechanism, and the stable contribution rate is about 8%. National policy has a significant impact on the fluctuation of beef prices in China through the external impact mechanism,with a contribution rate of 15%. The price of beef in the early stage significantly affects the market price of beef in the later stage. Therefore, some suggestions were put forward to reduce the feed cost of the beef cattle industry, strengthen the financial support of the beef cattle industry, and improve the market supervision system of beef price fluctuation, in order to provide a reference for stabilizing the beef price and promoting the sustainable development of the livestock industry. Nibea is rich in protein, essential amino acids, fatty acids, trace elements and swim bladder collagen. The meat is tender, delicious and has high nutritional value. Nibea also has the advantages of adaptability, rapid growth, and strong stress resistance, and is one of the important mariculture fish in the coastal areas of China. Background Para-infectious encephalopathy is an acute inflammatory encephalopathy secondary to a systemic infectious disease, including acute necrotizing encephalopathy (ANE) and mild encephalitis/encephalopathy with a reversible splenial lesion (MERS). This paper reports on 3 cases of SARS-CoV-2 related to para-infectious encephalopathy diagnosed and treated in The Ordos Central Hospital of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region from December 2022 to February 2023, and reviews relevant literature to summarize the clinical characteristics of the disease. Methods and Results The 3 patients with SARS-CoV-2 related to para-infectious encephalopathy, including 2 cases of SARS-CoV-2 related to ANE and one case of SARS-CoV-2 related to MERS were reported. Three patients developed consciousness disorder 2-4 d after fever, and still had aphasia, mental abnormality, convulsions, etc.. SARS-CoV-2 throat swab was positive. Head MRI showed one abnormal signal of brain stem and bilateral thalamus, one abnormal signal of bilateral thalamus, and one abnormal pressure of corpus callosum. All received hormone shock therapy and (or) intravenous immunoglobulin. One died, and 2 cases were recovered. Conclusions SARS-CoV-2 related to para-infectious encephalopathy including SARS-CoV-2 related to ANE and MERS and other clinical subtypes, the former has rapid progress, severe disease, high disability rate and fatality rate and poor prognosis, while the latter has relatively mild symptoms and better prognosis. Strengthening the supply of feed grain is an important starting point for stabilizing the supply and demand of feed grain market and promoting the high-quality development of animal husbandry. Based on the monthly data samples of feed grain supply and demand structure from January 2006 to December 2022, this paper uses the VAR model to empirically analyze the feed grain supply and demand structure in China. The results showed that maize supply had the most obvious influence on feed grain supply and demand structure, followed by urban and rural residents' consumption of livestock products, and rice supply was the lowest. From the perspective of supply, the main influencing factors of feed grain supply and demand structure change include maize supply, soybean meal supply, sorghum supply, and wheat supply. From the perspective of demand, the consumption of livestock products by urban and rural residents was the main factor affecting the change of feed grain supply and demand structure. From the perspective of emergencies, natural disaster risk index was not the Granger cause of the change of feed grain supply and demand structure. Under ignoring other factors, the contribution rate of natural disaster risk index to the change of feed grain supply and demand structure after seven weeks was 23.62%. Research shows that changes in the supply and demand structure of feed grains are mainly influenced by factors such as corn supply, consumption of livestock products by urban and rural residents, soybean meal supply, sorghum supply, wheat supply, and natural disaster risks. Recycling carbon tax revenue is a significant part of the design of a nation's carbon tax system. The impact of different recycling principles on the socio-economy and carbon emission reduction varies greatly. Under the background of China's goal of reaching peak carbon emissions, this paper designed three carbon tax recycling principles based on the goal of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), including recycling principles based on output ratio, export ratio, and carbon intensity. A recursively dynamic CGE model was developed in this study to evaluate the economic effects of these three carbon tax recycling principles based on tax neutrality under China's goal of reaching peak carbon emissions. Carbon tax recycling measures could mitigate the economic losses caused by carbon tax, and the results could be greatly affected according to different recycling principles. The results showed that: 1 The recycling principle based on output ratio could reduce economic losses and improve households' social welfare. 2 China's carbon intensity in 2030 could be reduced by more than 65% compared with that in 2005, and the proportion of non-fossil energy in primary energy consumption could reach 25% using the recycling principle based on carbon intensity, but the economic loss mitigation effect of the recycling measures based on this principle was small. 3 Adopting the recycling principle based on export ratio would narrow the competitive gap between China and foreign countries, and the exports of high-carbon-intensity goods would not increase under this principle. 4 According to principles based on output ratio and export ratio, the NDC goal of non-fossil energy accounting for about 25% of primary energy consumption by 2030 could not be achieved, and only the NDC goal of reducing carbon emissions per unit of GDP by more than 65% compared with that of 2005 could be achieved. In brief, as an essential policy tool to achieve China's goal of reaching peak carbon emissions, the carbon tax should be implemented as soon as possible. At the same time, according to China's national conditions, a targeted choice of carbon tax recycling principle is needed. In recent years, while China has achieved significant progress in food safety, the situation remains severe, with incidents such as excessive residues of agricultural and veterinary drugs, as well as illegal addition of toxic and harmful substances. As an important technical support for ensuring food safety, food safety inspection and testing institutions also exhibit a mixed bag of performance. Problems such as inadequate personnel management, improper use of facilities and equipment, weak legal awareness resulting in issuance of false reports have frequently occurred, seriously disrupting the normal order of the inspection and testing market and affecting the authority and accuracy of food safety testing. Based on the capacity verification of inspection and testing organizations in Zhejiang Province in recent years, this paper studies the typical problems faced by food inspection and testing institutions in terms of management level and testing capabilities, analyzes the root causes in depth, and proposes specific strategies from three aspects: Strengthening the main responsibility of inspection and testing institutions, combining regulatory departments with supervision and guidance, and enhancing industry self-discipline, aiming to continuously improve their inspection and testing capabilities, promote the high-quality development of food inspection and testing institutions, and effectively ensure the safety of every bite of food. Although the study of Charles Dickens has matured in the domestic academia since the 21st century, a flourishing and pluralistic academic discourse has yet to be formed in China. This paper adopts the cluster view, timeline view, burst detection in CiteSpace to visually present the chronological development of Dickens's studies in China. On the whole, Chinese scholars' research in this field has not yet truly entered the international arena, and it is challenging to maintain an international academic dialogue; domestically, scholars' interpretations of Dickens show a relatively obvious trend towards a distinctly Chinese interpretation, and can be described as both constructive and deconstructive in the reception of such foreign culture. In detail, even though the new century has seen the emergence of many promising research topics and new clusters, the repetition of Dickens's works is still a serious phenomenon, and it is not easy to innovate on classic topics. [Objective] As the main energy source in China, coal has an important strategic position in the country's economic development. China's coal-based energy structure model will not change in the short term, but coal mine accidents occur frequently. Mine fire is a major disaster that threatens safe coal mine production, which incurs huge economic losses and threatens the personal safety of miners and coal mine production. However, coal spontaneous combustion primarily causes mine fires. The occurrence mechanism of coal spontaneous combustion is highly complex and is affected by the inherent combustion characteristics of coal and external environmental factors. Therefore, it is necessary to comprehensively analyze various phenomena and characteristics in the process of coal spontaneous combustion and apply quantitative indicators to express to predict the risk and ensure the safe production of the mine. [Methods] Oxygen concentration is an important factor influencing coal oxidation reaction. In this paper, the temperature-programmed experimental system is used to conduct the spontaneous combustion experiment of coal samples with three oxygen concentrations of 20.9%, 10%, and 7% regarding the heat dissipation, oxidation, and asphyxiation zones in the goaf. The gas products at different temperature stages are collected, the effects of temperature and oxygen concentration on the concentration of gas products are analyzed, and the index gases are classified and evaluated in detail. [Results] The results show the following: (1) The cross-point temperature (CPT) decreases with the increase in the oxygen concentration. The cross-point temperature under dry-air conditions is 144.6 °C. The error between the CPT value calculated by the BM empirical relationship and the experimental data is only 6.08%. The higher the oxygen concentration, the smaller the critical temperature, and the higher the gas concentration. (2) The content of oxidation products increases with the oxygen concentration. When heating commences, minimal CO and CH4 gases are generated, but with the increase in the temperature, C2H4 and C2H6 gases appear gradually. The oxidation reaction of coal samples is primarily affected by temperature and oxygen concentration. At a certain temperature, the higher the oxygen concentration, the more intense the coal-oxygen composite reaction, and more gas products appear. (3) For different oxygen concentration environments, the regularity of generating CO gas is highly significant, which can be used as an indicator gas to evaluate the spontaneous combustion of coal. In dry air, the temperature of C2H4 is earlier than that of C3H6, implying that the existence of C2H4 indicates that the coal oxidation process has entered an accelerated stage. The emergence of C3H6 gas marks the transformation of the coal oxidation into strong oxidation. Recently, the programmed temperature rise experiment has become an important research field. [Conclusions] Through indoor experiments, students can deeply understand the mechanism of coal spontaneous combustion and the process of establishing the prediction index system and introduce the experiment into the classroom. This practical teaching approach not only helps students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical problems but also broadens their horizons and improves their interest in scientific research, achieving better teaching results. [Objective] The problems of excessive CO2 emission, the greenhouse effect, and energy shortage have been widely discussed among countries worldwide. Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction reaction (ECO2RR) can realize the conversion of CO2 into value-added chemical fuel under mild conditions and the storage of renewable electricity, which is an effective way to promote China's aim of carbon peak and carbon neutrality. To pursue higher catalytic activity and product selectivity, researchers are committed to developing highly efficient ECO2RR electrocatalysts. In this paper, we designed Mo2CO2 MXene-based single-atom catalysts (SACs) (TM@Mo2CO2-Ov, TM = Fe, Co, Ni) according to the needs of ECO2RR, focusing on their electronic structure, catalytic performance, as well as reaction mechanism through theoretical simulation of the electrocatalytic process. [Methods] In this work, the CIF file of the Mo2CO2 MXene structure downloaded from the crystal structure database was first imported into the Materials Studio software. Then, the (110) crystal plane was cleaved, and a vacuum layer of 15 A was created. Afterward, a 3 x 3 supercell treatment was applied to the system. Next, the VASP software was utilized to perform structure optimization. After the Mo2CO2 structure was optimized, a vacancy site for an oxygen atom on the surface was constructed. Subsequently, the Fe, Co, and Ni metal atoms were introduced into the respective vacancy sites to create the Fe@Mo2CO2-Ov, Co@Mo2CO2-Ov, and Ni@Mo2CO2-Ov catalyst models, respectively. Finally, the VASP software was employed to optimize the catalyst structures and the adsorption structures of the reaction intermediates. The performance evaluation of ECO2RR on different SACs was obtained by studying the reaction mechanism of the production of C products (CO, HCOOH, CH3OH, and CH4). The free energy of ECO2RR was calculated using the computational hydrogen electrode mode, wherein the energy of (H+ + e-) remained equivalent to that of 1/2H2 at normal pressure and temperature. [Results] The calculated results showed the following: 1) In the Mo2CO2-Ov framework, single Fe, Co, and Ni atoms replaced the Mo atom at the center of the O defect. After structural optimization, it was found that these three structures did not change significantly, and the bond lengths only changed slightly. 2) The CO2 molecule was stably adsorbed on Fe@Mo2CO2-Ov, Co@Mo2CO2-Ov, and Ni@Mo2CO2-Ov via chemisorption. The structures of CO2 were significantly bent after adsorption, and the calculated absolute values of the interaction exceeded four. The DOS analysis showed that the occupation of d orbitals of Ni, Co, and Fe led to the adsorption difference. The d orbitals of Co and Fe were hybridized with the ng and nM* orbitals of CO2, which promoted the adsorption and activation of CO2. 3) The ECO2RR free energy diagram and reaction path analysis showed that Co@Mo2CO2-Ov had higher ECO2RR activity and better CH4 selectivity and was a better electrocatalyst for the formation of C1 products from ECO2RR than Fe@Mo2CO2-Ov and Ni@Mo2CO2-Ov. [Conclusions] By integrating the geometrical analysis, DOS calculation, and free energy analysis, Co@Mo2CO2-Ov was established as the ideal ECO2RR catalyst. The work can achieve the expected goal of significantly enhancing the ECO2RR performance and improving students' scientific research literacy to explore micromechanisms and processes through the extension of the experimental process. This paper describes the measurement of the energy ecological footprint of the country and the regions during the period of 1997-2021 by using the net primary productivity model from the perspective of embodied carbon. With the kernel density estimation model being applied to the analysis of dynamic distribution characteristics, which depicts the evolution law of spatial absolute difference, the spatial absolute β convergence and spatial conditional β convergence models were constructed to further explore the spatial convergence of energy ecological footprint. As a result of the study it was showed that the energy ecological footprint China appeared to be a steady ascending trend, and its spatial distribution could be characterized as "higher in coastal regions and lower in inland regions". There was a trend regarding the overall distribution of China's energy ecological footprint, i.e., "the transition from unimodal to multi-modal and the left shift of the major peak of wave", and except for the tendency toward "unimodal" of the energy ecological footprint in the mid-reach of the Yellow River and the mid-reach of the Yangtze River, the energy ecological footprint in other regions showed the characteristics of "the transition from unimodal to bimodal", "the decline of major wave peak height" and "right trailing", it can be seen that the differences among regions showed an expansion tendency. The phenomenon of regional polarization has been intensified since 2003, which among others, the northern and southern coastal regions were the severest, on the contrary, the northeast, southwest and northwest regions were the weakest. For China as a whole and each of the regions, the energy ecological footprint showed a tendency towards spatial conditional convergence and spatial absolute β convergence, and the spatial conditional convergence rate is faster than the spatial absolute convergence rate. At present, the communication based train control system (CBTC) has been used as the mainstream signaling system for rail transit, while the train autonomous circumambulate system (TACS) has also been gradually put into operation in China. To compare the reliability level of these two signaling systems, this paper performs a reliability analysis for both the TACS system and the CBTC system from the perspective of fault-caused operation delay. It presents the reliability block diagrams of both the TACS and the CBTC system in which faults lead to delays of more than 2 minutes and more than 5 minutes, which are drawn in view of the design architecture of these two signaling systems and the line configuration. Then, it provides an evaluation and comparison of the reliability level under the two system architectures under discussion. Moreover, it proposes improvement measures, which are intended to provide reference for the development and application of the signaling systems for urban rail transit. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
