The prefabricated light steel structure has many advantages such as lightweight, high strength, good seismic performance, and high construction speed. However, in implementation, there are shortcomings such as poor performance in heat preservation and sound insulation, poor surface layers bonding and immature complete set of technology. According to the above-mentioned problems, this paper proposes a new type of light steel structure system- light steel polystyrene foam concrete composite wall structure. Full-scale model tests were carried out on five wall panels under cyclic horizontal loading. The test results indicate that the composite walls yield when the inter-story drift angle is around 1/300 and the maximum inter-story drift angle reaches 1/50. The shear capacity of the composite wall is 3. 3 times of the non-filling material wall, while the initial lateral stiffness of the composite wall is 4 times of the non-filling material wall. The shear capacity of the composite wall with skin increases by 43% than the composite wall without skin, and the internal and external wall panels can reduce polystyrene foam concrete cracking. The failure modes, hysteresis performance, shear resistance, ductility, energy dissipation and stiffness degradation of the wall were analyzed, which showed that the composite wall has good seismic performance. In order to investigate the mechanical behavior of C40 SRC beams at early-age, seven steel reinforced concrete beams which contain H-steel were tested by monotonic static test on 1, 3,7 and 28 days of curing. Load-displacement curves, load-strain curves and influence of beams early loading on its later behavior were analyzed through the tests. The test results show; for the C40 SRC beams the 1-day strength can reach 75. 5% of the 28-day strength by adding early strength agent, the early loading to the beams has little effect on their later 28-day strength. Based on the test results, the nonlinear finite element analysis software ABAQUS was used to simulate the behavior of the specimens. Considering the composition features of outside frame, rib grid and infilling brick of multi-ribbed composite slab structures(MRSS), a nonlinear numerical analysis model was developed based on general finite element software with the application of multi-layer shell theory, fiber model theory and user-defined material model. This model reflects both the structural integrity characteristics and local mechanical behavior such as local cracking or extruding of MRSS. The comparison between the numerical simulation results and the experimental data of three component specimens and one structural specimen, shows that this model can be used in the nonlinear calculation or analysis of large MRSS under complicated conditions and has a high accuracy of prediction. According to the characteristics of the structural details and failure mode of the multi-grid composite walls, horizontal weak layer failure criteria for deriving the expression of shear load-bearing capacity of the walls was proposed in this paper. The mechanism and characteristics of the failure criteria were investigated. Based on the horizontal weak layer failure criteria, and combined with experimental research on filling blocks under restraint, the formula for calculating the shear load-bearing capacity of the multi-grid composite walls was proposed, which was verified by experiments of multi-grid composite wall specimens. The shear load-bearing capacity calculation method for the wall was improved. Shear effect of the grid beam and vertical load to the wall were considered by the shear load-bearing capacity of the grid column, influence coefficient of grid constraint effect and influence coefficient of combined force, which is in accordance with the actual force and damage characteristics of the wall.
