In recent years, arginine has received extensive attention from researchers and scholars in the field of food and nutrition because of its important role in patients' postoperative recovery and cardiovascular health. This article describes the metabolic pathways, physiological functions, absorption and intake of arginine, summarizes the application of arginine in clinical research and food for special medical purpose, and the future direction of development and research of the food for special medical purpose is also prospected.

In nuclear and particle physics experiments, due to the influence of the experimental background and detector noise, the experiment needs to pick out valid physical events by the trigger selection, and eliminate the background noise. Aiming at the trigger selection requirements based on hit multiplicity (NHit) in the cases of high event rates in physical experiments, this paper designs a high-performance digital trigger circuit. This circuit has 13 high-speed serial communication interfaces, which support optical fiber data transmission and Gigabit network communication; onboard 32 Gbit DDR4 cache and high-end FPGA to support large-capacity high-speed storage and real-time data processing. Based on this circuit, the real-time hardware NHit trigger algorithm could be run, which could realize fast trigger selection and data readout for the front-end data. At the same time, the circuit is easy to expand and could be flexibly used in different physical experiments. After testing and verification, the transmission rate of one single optical fiber interface could reach 8.125 Gb/s, the uplink transmission rate of SiTCP could reach 949.3 Mb/s, and the actual read and write rates of the DDR4 cache could reach 102.6 Gb/s, which meet the data transmission and caching requirements of digital trigger circuit design.

This review outlined the regulatory policy and approval progress of food for the special medical purpose （FSMP）, analyzed the development status and the development key point of cancer FSMP. And the recent nutrition research related to cancer FSMP was reviewed.

Experimental validation of beam spectral source term parameters is one of the important procedures for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) physical dosimetry. It is crucial that the well-known the relevant information to precisely establish clinical treatment planning for correctly assessing the dose delivered to patients. To verify the reliability of the theoretically calculated photon energy spectra of source term, a new photon spectrometer applicable for BNCT beams (n/γ mixed beams with wide energy range and large radiation intensity) was designed. In order to realize the fast and accurate measurement of the photon spectrum for BNCT therapy beam, the radiation intensity should be reduced to prevent radiation damage and control the dead time of measuring system at a proper level, meanwhile, the neutron induced secondary photons must be suppressed as much as possible. The neutron fluence rate, photon count rate and secondary photon count rate proportion (secondary photon count rate/source term photon count rate) in the detector are optimized by Monte Carlo simulation, the radiation intensity at detector position is decreased largely, the secondary photon count rate proportion is reduced to 5.45. Furthermore, the calibration method of spectrometer response to different energy photons was also investigated at reference photon fields so as to obtain accurate response function for unfolding the photon spectra.

The effects of green plum/citron double-strain fermentation filtrate (DSF) on the proliferation rate of keratinocyte (HaCaT) were investigated by CCK8 assay. qPCR was used to study the effects of DSF on the mRNA transcription levels of HaCaT filaggrin (FLG), loricrin (LOR) and claudin1 (CLD1) in sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) model. The influence of DSF on the content of TNF-α in the supernatant of HaCaT cells was studied by ELISA. The results showed that DSF had no toxicity to HaCaT cells, and could increase the mRNA transcription levels of FLG, LOR and CLD1 in HaCaT cells and reduce the content of TNF-α in the supernatant of HaCaT cells in the model. In order to study implementation effect of different check valves, vibration test was conducted in testing systems equipped with spring-loaded passive check valve and hydraulic active check valve respectively. Laws of time domain signal and frequency domain signal of the pipeline were studied, and impacts of two kinds of working check valve on vibration intensity of the pipeline were compared. The test results show that the hydraulic active check valve can reduce vibration strength more obviously. The conclusion provides reference for determining reasonable pipeline transportation parameters.

There were abundant germplasm resources of Chinese cabbage, but the long breeding time and complex breeding process seriously affected the work progress. In order to speed up the breeding process of new varieties of Chinese cabbage, through the combination of the treatments such as low temperature vernalization of seeds and plants, artificial pollination at bud stage, seed-peeling and generation-adding processing, cultivation in the intelligent artificial climate chamber and field test evaluation, the germplasm resources of Chinese cabbage could be bred for 3-4 generations every year, and the breeding period could be shortened to 4-5 years. On the basis of the previous experiments, the technical regulations for the generation-adding separation of the germplasm resources of Chinese cabbage were summarized, which could provide reference for the variety breeding and resource identification and assessment of Chinese cabbage. The large-scale instrument is the basis of teaching and scientific research in colleges and universities, construction of large-scale instrument sharing platform is not only a medical colleges to integrate high-quality teaching and scientific research resources, it is also a way to open to the outside world. Hence, it is an important way to serve the community. In view of the large-scale instrument at the increasingly prominent sharing management problems, combined with the actual situation in medical coHeges and universities, this paper focuses on the idea of sharing of large-scale instruments and equipment management, introduces the large-scale instrument sharing platform construction and use in Nanjing Medical University. A management platform with star network architecture has been constructed for sharing of large-scale instruments. The function modules contain the adaptation of the equipment authorization, appointment, billing, commissioned by the sample problems and management scheme. Establishment of shared platform is an important way to improve the quality of teaching and scientific research, and the use efficiency of large instruments in colleges and universities. But in most cases, open sharing of instrument platforms run ineffective. The reason lies to establish an effective operational mechanism and management mode. This paper analyzes the large instrument management system, based on the characteristics of large instrument to explore the large instrument open sharing platform construction program, operating mechanism and management mode, and to maximize the efficient use of large instrument. Facing on building an innovative country and regional economic development requirements, the university can apply the integration of resources, informatization, staff training, strict inspection, the use of special funds leverage other specific way, to give play to college advantages in teaching and research foundation facilities, so as to improve their social open sharing degree, and ultimately enhance the utilization of large instruments. Under uniaxial loading instrument, the cyclic loading and unloading creep test on the sandy shale specimens of Dongxiang Copper Mine was done. Based on the hardening-damage mechanism of creep process, the timeliness of hardening-damage effect was proposed during the analysis of creep data. And then the coefficient of viscosity( hardening coefficient of viscosity) in the decay creep stage under high stress condition was corrected. Based on the creep mechanism of damage in the stationary creep stage, the accumulation-diffusion mechanism of rock damage effect was put forward under high stress condition. Hereby, the triggering model (nonlinear creep body) of accelerated creep according to the accumulative creep deformation of damage was introduced to describe the unstable creep characters. On these bases, introduced the instantaneous plastic component, combined with the hooker body and viscoelasto-plastic body, the nonlinear theological model of rock was established to describe the overall process of creep. The comparison between nonlinear rheological model and experimental curves show that two curves accord well each other, the correction of hardening coefficient of viscosity is necessary, and the improved nonlinear viscoelasto-plastic rheological model is available and reasonable. Loss circulation and well kick coexist on the drilled wells in Pu7 block of Zhongyuan Oilfield. Cementing operation faces difficulties of dispersive oil and gas layers, developed water contained layers, many injection wells, severe water production, and scattered and long distributed salt bed. According to the area features mentioned above, a series of technology measures are strengthened: in wiper trip process adjustment drilling mud performance after finish drilling, as far as possible to reduce the viscosity, shear force and water loss of the mud, to guarantee the stability of oil and gas layer. Fully clean well by 1.2 times delivery rate of drilling to improve the bonding ability and displacement efficiency of cement slurry; select reasonable balance liquid to prevent loss circulation; use centralizer to enhance the centralization degree of casing; apply open hole packer to resolve the problem of water channeling between the layers; optimizing cement slurry design, displacing under plug flow, pumping back pressure piecewise and other effective measures have been done, that not only stop the oil-gas-water channeling, but also ensure the quality of cementing operation. By application of 8 wells such as Pu7-9 sidetracked hole, achieved good results of 100% fine/excellent rate of cementing quality. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Given the setting that the mechanical behavior of the segment joint structure of the shield tunnel is quite complicated, a method combining local rigidity reduction of the shield segment with mechanical model for the patulous-occlusive condition of segment joint was proposed. The forces and deformation characteristics of segment and longitudinal connecting bolt for segment joint were emphatically analyzed by using finite element software. Analysis of the research results show that; both the vertical displacement and the range of large deformation of the whole segment increase alter adopting local rigidity reduction method; the horizontal displacement of segment stays almost unchanged; the horizontal displacement in the stiffness reduction zone slightly reduces; and the distributive uniformity of internal force for the whole segment has been affected. Based on the mechanical model of segment joint and the deformation compatibility principle, the rule of deformation of the longitudinal connecting bolt for segment joint are basically the same as that of the whole segment, but the deformation is relatively small and the decrement of horizontal displacement for longitudinal connecting bolt is larger than the decrease of vertical displacement. Most parts of the longitudinal connecting bolts are subject to compressive stress and the area ratio of that is more than 94.4%. The bending moment and shear stress in longitudinal connecting bolt is almost zero. The bending moment of the longitudinal connecting bolts that distribute symmetrically with respect to the central longitudinal plane of the tunnel is nearly equal, while the symmetric plane with respect to which the shear force of the longitudinal connecting bolts is almost equal is the central vertical plane of the tunnel. The research results indicate that the forces and deformation characteristics of segment joint can be truly reflected by the method combining the local rigidity reduction of the shell segment with the mechanical model of segment joint. The transcription of eukaryotic genes is regulated by both proximal promoters and distal enhancers. Some promoters also have enhancer activity. NOXA and BCL2 are pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic members of the BCL2 family of protein, respectively. Our previous study has found that the NOXA gene promoter and the BCL2 gene promoter interact at the level of three-dimensional chromatin structure. Moreover, the NOXA gene promoter region displays histone modifications characteristic of both promoters and enhancers. This study aimed to explore whether and when the NOXA promoter could act as an active enhancer to regulate BCL2 expression. Based on the apoptosis model of MCF-7 cells induced by camptothecin, we used chromosome conformation capture (3C), quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and the luciferase reporter gene technology to demonstrate that the NOXA promoter could function as an active enhancer and physically interact with the BCL2 promoter through chromatin looping. The regulatory properties of the NOXA promoter were closely related to the strength of the apoptosis stimulation. Under weak apoptotic stimulation (1 μmol/L camptothecin treatment), the NOXA promoter mainly functioned as an enhancer; with the enhancement of apoptotic stimulation (10 μmol/L camptothecin treatment), the NOXA promoter activity increased and mainly regulated the expression of the gene itself to promote apoptosis. Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) confirmed that the dynamic changes of the promoter activity and enhancer activity in the NOXA promoter region are consistent with its histone modification marks. This study provides new clues for further exploring the mechanism underlying cooperative response of BCL2 family member to apoptosis stimuli.

Vena cava filter is a filter device designed to prevent pulmonary embolism caused by thrombus detached from lower limbs and pelvis. A new retrievable vena cava filter was designed in this study. To evaluate hemodynamic performance and thrombus capture efficiency after transplanting vena cava filter, numerical simulation of computational fluid dynamics was used to simulate hemodynamics and compare it with the commercialized Denali and Aegisy filters, and in vitro experimental test was performed to compare the thrombus capture effect. In this paper, the two-phase flow model of computational fluid dynamics software was used to analyze the outlet blood flow velocity, inlet-outlet pressure difference, wall shear stress on the wall of the filter, the area ratio of the high and low wall shear stress area and thrombus capture efficiency when the thrombus diameter was 5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm and thrombus content was 10%, 20%, 30%, respectively. Meanwhile, the thrombus capture effects of the above three filters were also compared and evaluated by in vitro experimental data. The results showed that the Denali filter has minimal interference to blood flow after implantation, but has the worst capture effect on 5 mm small diameter thrombus; the Aegisy filter has the best effect on the trapping of thrombus with different diameters and concentrations, but the low wall shear stress area ratio is the largest; the new filter designed in this study has a good filtering and capture efficiency on small-diameter thrombus, and the area ratio of low wall shear stress which is prone to thrombosis is small. The low wall shear stress area of the Denali and Aegisy filters is relatively large, and the risk of thrombosis is high. Based on the above results, it is expected that the new vena cava filter designed in this paper can provide a reference for the design and clinical selection of new filters.

The abundance and diversity of ammonia-oxidizing microorganisms in sediments of an aquacultural area of Eastern Lake Taihu were investigated. Real-time quantitative PCR was used to analyze the abundance of archaeal and bacterial amoA genes. Cloned libraries were constructed to investigate the structure and diversity of the microbial community. By comparing community characteristics of ammonia-oxidizing archaea (AOA) and ammonia-oxidizing bacteria (AOB) in different zones, we found that:①Copy numbers of the bacterial amoA gene outnumbered those of archaeal amoA genes in the aquacultural zone; ②Diversity of AOA and AOB was higher in the aquaculture zone and control zone, respectively; ③ The dominant cluster of AOA and AOB in both sediments of aquiculture zone and control zone was Nitrosopumilus and Nitrosospira respectively. It was therefore the community structure of AOA (rather than AOB) in lake sediments that was affected by aquacultural activity.

Objective: To prepare nano polypyrrole (PPy)/chitin composite membrane and observe their biocompatibility., Methods: The nano PPy was synthesized by microemulsion polymerization, blended with chitosan and then formed membranes. The membranes were then modified by acetylation to get the experimental membranes (nano PPy/chitin composite membranes, group A). The chitosan membranes (group B) and chitin ones (group C) modified by acetylation acted as control. Scanning electron microscopy and FT-IR spectra were used to identify the nano PPy and the membranes of each group. And the conductivity of membranes of each group was measured. Schwann cells were co-cultured in vitro with each group membranes to observe the biocompatibility by inverted microscope observing, living cell staining, cell counting, and immunofluorescence staining. The lysozyme solution was used to evaluate the degradation of the membranes in vitro ., Results: The FT-IR spectra showed that the characteristic vibrational absorption peaks of C=C from nano PPy appeared at 1 543.4 cm -1 and 1 458.4 cm -1 . Scanning electron microscopy observation revealed that the size of nano PPy particles was about 100-200 nm. The nano PPy particles were synthesized. It was successful to turn chitosan to chitin by the acetylation, which was investigated by FT-IR analysis of membranes in groups A and C. The characteristic peaks of the amide Ⅱ band around 1 562 cm -1 appeared after acetylated modification. Conductivity test showed that the conductivity of membranes in group A was about (1.259 2±0.005 7)×10 -3 S/cm, while the conductivity of the membranes in groups B and C was not detected. The nano PPy particles uniformly distributed on the surface of membranes in group A were observed by scanning electron microscope; the membranes in control groups were smooth. As a result, the nano PPy/chitin composite membranes with electrical conductivity were obtained. The cultured Schwann cells were found to survive with good function by fluorescein diacetate live cell staining, soluble protein-100 immunofluorescence staining, and inverted microscope observing. The cell counting showed that the proliferation of Schwann cells after 2 days and 4 days of group A was more than that of the two control groups, and the differences were significant ( P <0.05). It indicated that the nano PPy/chitin composite membranes had better ability of adhesion and proliferation than those of chitosan and chitin membranes. The degradation of membranes in vitro showed that the degradation rates of membranes in groups A and C were significantly higher than those in group B at all time points ( P <0.05). In a word, the degradation performance of the membranes modified by acetylation was better than that of chitosan membranes under the same condition., Conclusion: The nano PPy and chitosan can be blended and modified by acetylation successfully. Nano PPy/chitin composite membranes had electrical conductivity, degradability, and good biocompatibility in vitro .

The farming of lake fisheries is an important part of the freshwater fishery industry in China. However, farming patterns of traditional fisheries maintain serious negative effects on the ecosystem of Eastern Lake Taihu. In recent years, the enclosure culture model of this lake has been optimized. In order to investigate the effects of aquaculture on the sediment properties, samples were collected from different areas of the lake (i.e. within the culture areas, outside the culture areas; from the crab-plant co-culture areas, mixed culture areas, ecological restoration areas, and control areas), in different months (January, March, April, August, and November), and at different depths (0-1 cm and 9-10 cm). The results of this sampling indicates that ① the concentrations of total nitrogen (TN) and total phosphorus (TP) in the sediments samples collected within the culture areas are slightly higher than samples collected outside the culture areas; ② compared to the crab-plant co-culture areas, lower concentrations of TN and TP are found in the samples collected from the mixed culture areas; ③ in the ecological restoration areas, aquatic plants exhibit certain positive effects with decreasing concentrations of TN and TP in the sediment. The lowest concentrations of TN and TP are detected in the sediment during the growing season of aquatic plants.

The vessels in the microcirculation keep adjusting their structure to meet the functional requirements of the different tissues. A previously developed theoretical model can reproduce the process of vascular structural adaptation to help the study of the microcirculatory physiology. However, until now, such model lacks the appropriate methods for its parameter settings with subsequent limitation of further applications. This study proposed an improved quantum-behaved particle swarm optimization (QPSO) algorithm for setting the parameter values in this model. The optimization was performed on a real mesenteric microvascular network of rat. The results showed that the improved QPSO was superior to the standard particle swarm optimization, the standard QPSO and the previously reported Downhill algorithm. We conclude that the improved QPSO leads to a better agreement between mathematical simulation and animal experiment, rendering the model more reliable in future physiological studies.

Mechanical properties and biological evaluation of buffalo horn material were examined in this study. The effects of sampling position of buffalo horn on mechanical properties were investigated with uniaxial tension and micron indentation tests. Meanwhile, the variation of element contents in different parts of buffalo horn was determined with elemental analysis, and the microstructure of the horn was measured with scanning electron microscopy. In addition, biological evaluation of buffalo horn was studied with hemolytic test, erythrocyte morphology, platelet and erythrocyte count, and implantation into mouse. Results showed that the buffalo horn had good mechanical properties and mechanical characteristic values of it gradually increased along with the growth direction of the horn, which may be closely related to its microstructure and element content of C, N, and S in different parts of the buffalo horn. On the other hand, because the buffalo horn does not have toxicity, it therefore does not cause hemolysis of erythrocyte and has a good affinity with it. Buffalo horn has good histocompatibility but meanwhile it may induce the platelet adhesion and aggregation. Even so, it does not continue to rise to induce a large number of platelet to aggregate with resulting blood clotting. Therefore, the buffalo horn material has been proved to possess good blood compatibility according to the preliminary evaluation.

Objective: To investigate the effects of Shenxiong Pill on the infarct volume and expression of NF-kappaB in brains of rats with middle cerebral artery occlusion., Methods: 169 SD rats were randomly divided into five groups: normal group, sham group, model group, cyclophosphamide group and Shenxiong Pill group. MCAO rat models were established by string ligation (for model, cyclophosphamide-treated and Shenxiong-treated groups). Rats in the Shenxiong Pill group was further randomly divided into sub-groups, receiving a range of high dose treatment (5 to 20 times of clinical dosage). Brains of the rats were examined 48 h or 72 h after interventions in a random order. Image processing software was used in the calculation of volume of cerebral infarction. Conventional HE staining was used for observation of brain tissue. Immunohistochemical method was used to determine NF-kappaB expression., Results: Compared with the model group, rats treated with Shenxiong Pill and cyclophosphamide had lower infarct brain volumes (P < 0.05). NF-kappaB positive inflammatory cells were not found in the normal and sham groups. But the MCAO model rats had increased numbers of NF-kappaB positive inflammatory cells and higher integral optical density of NF-kappaB over time. Compared with the model group, lower numbers and expression of NF-kappaB positive inflammatory cells were found in those treated with Shenxiong Pill (P<0. 05). Higher dosage of Shenxiong was associated with lower numbers and expression of NF-gB inflammatory cells (P<0. 05)., Conclusion: Shenxiong Pill can reduce pathological damage to brains as a result of cerebral ischemia, possibly through inhibiting the expression and activation of NF-kappaB.

Aim: The mechanism of vascular endothelial growth factor165 (VEGF165) on intracellular free magnesium ([Mg2+]i) in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) was investigated., Methods: [Mg2+]i in HUVECs loaded with fluorescent magnesium indicator mag-fura-2 were quantitatively detected the use of intracellular cation measurement system., Results: VEGF165 significantly increased [Mg2+]i in the extracellular Mg2+ and this effect could be blocked by pretreatment with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (tyrphostin A23 and genistein), phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) inhibitors (wortmannin and LY294002) and phospholipase Cgamma (PLCgamma) inhibitor (U73122). In contrast, phospholipase Cgamma (PLCgamma) inhibitor analog (U73343), mitogen-activated protein kinase inhibitors (SB202190 and PD98059) had no effect on the VEGF165-induced [Mg2+]i increase., Conclusion: The increase of [Mg2+]i by VEGF165 originates from intracellular Mg2+ pool through tyrosine kinase/ PI3K/PLCgamma-dependent signaling pathways.

Objective: To investigate the expression of ligand 1 of programmed death-1 in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), the relationship between their expression and the clinicopathological features., Method: Immunohistochemistry was performed to assess the expression of PD-L1 in 59 cases of NPC tissues and 10 cases of normal nasopharyngeal tissue. RT-PCR was used to investigate the mRNA expression of PD-L1 gene in 30 NPC samples and 10 cases of normal nasopharyngeal tissues., Result: In case of tissues of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, the positive expression rate of PD-L1 protein and PD-L1mRNA were 67.8% (40/59) and 66.6% (20/30) respectively, while there were no PD-L1 detectable in normal nasopharyngeal tissues. The expression of PD-L1 was significantly correlated with clinical TNM stage and lymphatic metastasis (P <0.05). However, no significant correlation was founded between the expression of PD-L1 and age and sex (P >0.05)., Conclusion: PD-L1 is overexpressed in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, PD-L1 maybe play a certain role in carcinogenesis and progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and turn into a new target of immunotherapy of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Objective: To investigate the effect of quercetin (Que) on HEN1 cells, a kind of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells., Method: Inhibition rate of quercetin on HEN1 was assayed by MTT method, cell apoptosis by flow cytometry (FCM), Caspase-3 expression of each group were determined by colorimetry set., Result: The inhibition of quercetin on HEN1 cells was shown in the dose-dependent (r = 0.709, P < 0.05) and time-dependent manner (r = 0.703, P < 0.01). The ratio of apoptotic and necrosis cells increased accompanied with added quercetin concentration. Cell cycle was specificly arrested inG2/M phase. Apoptosis cusp was revealed by FCM. While the activity of caspase-3 were also significantly upregulated in five groups after quercetin compared to control (P < 0.05)., Conclusion: Quercetin can activate the expression of Caspase-3 and induce the apoptosis of HEN1 cells through mitochondrion-depended pathway.

Objective: The effect of vascular endothelial growth factor(165) (VEGF(165)) on intracellular free magnesium ([Mg(2+)](i)) and the relationship between Mg(2+) and angiogenesis in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) were investigated in this study., Methods: [Mg(2+)](i) in HUVECs loaded with fluorescent magnesium indicator mag-fura-2 were quantitatively detected with the use of intracellular cation measurement system. HUVECs were obtained from normal fetus and cultured in M199 with 0.2 fetal bovine serum. The angiogenesis effects of VEGF(165) were observed in presence of 0 mmol/L, 1 mmol/L or 2 mmol/L of extracellular Mg(2+)., Results: VEGF(165) significantly increased [Mg(2+)](i) in a dose-dependent manner independent of extracellular Mg(2+), Na(+) and Ca(2+) and this effect could be blocked by pretreatment with VEGF(165) receptor-2 (KDR) inhibitor (SU1498). The angiogenesis induced by VEGF(165) was significantly inhibited cells with 0 mmol/L extracellular Mg(2+), the angiogenesis effects of VEGF(165) were similar in cells with 1 mmol/L and 2 mmol/L extracellular Mg(2+) and these effects could be blocked by SU1498., Conclusions: These results suggest that the [Mg(2+)](i) increase induced by VEGF(165) originates from intracellular Mg(2+) pools and promotes angiogenesis via KDR-dependent signaling pathways.

Genetic correlations among brown rice rate, chalkiness grain rate, chalkiness area and AC, and correlations between these quality traits and plant height and panicle trait were analyzed using parental seeds of 3 x 3 NC II reciprocal mating and some F2 generation seeds by the genetic model given by Zhu Jun for the selection of japonica breeding progeny. The results showed that milled rice weight and brown rice rate are highly significant correlation with maternal additive effect. The genetic covariance between genetic effect components of quality traits and agronomy traits was not significant but that between quality and other plant traits was complicated.

The cardiovascular circulation feedback control treatment instrument (CFCTI) is an automatic feedback control treatment system, which has the function of monitoring, alarming, trouble self-diagnosis and testing on the line in the closed loop. The instrument is designed based on the successful clinical experiences and the data are inputted into the computer in real-time through a pressure sensor and A/D card. User interface window is set up for the doctor's choosing different medicine. The orders are outputted to control the dose of medicine through the transfusion system. The response to medicine is updated continually. CFCTI can avoid the man-made errors and the long interval of sampling. Its reliability and accuracy in rescuing the critical patients are much higher than the traditional methods.

Objective: To evaluate the role of ultrasound in bone density measurement in patients with hyperthyroidism., Methods: The speed of sound (SOS) through distal radius and midshaft tibia of 118 patients with hyperthyroidism 138 males and 80 females, aged 20 approximately 73, were measured with ultrasonic apparatus, the bone mass density (BMD) was measured at the lumbar spine and proximal femur with dual energy X-ray absorptiometry, the serum levels of total thyroxine (TT(4)), total triiodothyronine (TT(3)), free thyroxine (FT(4)), free triiodothyronine (FT(3)), and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) were measured by radioimmunoassay, and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) was measured by routine method., Results: The SOS of the patients with hyperthyroidism was significantly lower than that of the healthy subjects (P < 0.05). A strong positive correlation was found between SOS and BMD. The prevalence of SOS (Z < -1, Z < -2.5) through distal radius and midshaft tibia was significantly higher than that of BMD (Z < -1, Z < -2.5) at lumbar spine and proximal femur in the patients with hyperthyroidism. A negative linear correlation was found between SOS and ALP., Conclusion: SOS may be one of the significant markers for abnormal bone metabolism for hyperthyroidism.

Objective: To compare the immunity of morbid obesity (MO) before and after laparoscopic adjustable gastric banding (LAGB)., Methods: 15 cases, with a mean body mass index (BMI) of 35.8 kg/m(2), were treated by LAGB from Jun. 2003 to Oct. 2003 in our department. Patients' immune parameters were determined preoperatively and 1, 3 and 6 months postoperatively. 15 cases with a normal BMI (23.6 kg/m(2)) were set as controls., Results: Before surgery, the MO had a significant lower level of CD(4)(+), CD(4)(+)/CD(8)(+) and a higher level of serum interleukin-2 (IL-2), Interleukin-6 (IL-6) than the controls (P < 0.01). There was a significant reduction of weight and BMI 6 months postoperatively (P < 0.01). At the same time, CD(4)(+) increased and serum IL-2 decreased significantly. But CD(4)(+)/CD(8)(+)and serum IL-2, IL-6 were still abnormal compare to the controls., Conclusions: MO may combined with an abnormal immunity. But after enough weight loss induced by LAGB, it can be partly reversed.

This review briefly discussed food types and nutrition requirements of space food in space station. Meanwhile, the research orientation of Chinese space food for space station was proposed.

Objective: To investigate the basic pathogenetic rule and mechanism of deep burn by constant low heat., Methods: Animal burn model inflicted by constant low heat was established as follows. (1) The rats were randomly divided into groups in terms of temperature and duration of contact. The burn wound formation process, the skin tissue density and pathomorphological changes in the rats were observed after burn was produced on the back by contacting heat source constantly. (2) The subcutaneous temperature of the back was monitored at different time and temperatures of heat contacting by placing the thermometer under the fascia of the rat back., Results: (1) The time of burn wound formation was shortened and the injury degree deepened along with the increase in the contact temperature. The rat skin density exhibited irregular hyperbola or triple curves. (2) The subcutaneous temperature exhibited a parabolic curve with fixed experimental conditions., Conclusion: (1) The sharp increase in subcutaneous temperature leading to degeneration and necrosis might be the primary cause of deep burn. (2) The regularity of the skin tissue injury was the result of multiple effects of heat-origin injury, increase of capillary permeability and the change in tissue mass.
