There are many ships and ports in Shanghai coastal zones, where disastrous weather occurs frequently. Meteorological disasters often threaten the safety of people’s lives and properties along the coast and in the ports. In the past, the meteorological warnings for Shanghai coastal zones are mainly based on those issued for Yangshan Port by Shanghai Marine Meteorological Centre (SMMC), which are called “unified warnings”. However, there are obvious differences in the time and intensity of meteorological disasters in each region, and the unified warnings cannot meet the needs of the production and operation of the shipping and ports. In 2020, Shanghai coastal zones were divided into five sub-zones, where the meteorological forecast and warnings were carried out separately from July 2020. Based on hourly observational data of the representative stations in Shanghai coastal zones and warning signal data from 2016 to 2022, the gale events are selected to analyse the statistical characteristics of temporal and spatial distribution and evaluate the forecast quality and the economic benefits of the zonal warnings. The results show that: (1) The farther away from the coastline, the more gale days, the higher the wind speed and the longer the duration; the higher the wind speed during the process, the more obvious the difference of wind scale. In particular, the wind scale caused by typhoons can range up to 5 levels. (2) Compared with the “unified warning”, the missing alarm rate (MAR) of gale warnings in each sea area has been reduced significantly, by up to 5%, the false alarm rate (FAR) for the western part of Yangtze River estuary is reduced by more than 8% and the TS score is significantly improved by more than 10%. (3) The advance time of gale warnings has been reduced by more than 3 hours, the maintaining duration has been shortened by more than 16 hours at most, which can reduce the loss of nearly 18 million RMB and improve the production efficiency of the coastal zones of Shanghai greatly. The results of this paper show that refined marine meteorological forecasts and early warnings provide a safety guarantee for marine transportation and port production operations, resulting in significant social and economic benefits and the enhancement of the comprehensive guarantee level of marine meteorological services in Shanghai. In the next step, we will continue to research and develop more refined objective forecast methods adapted to this business, then build a regional shared operational system platform and extend it to the Yangtze River Delta region, so as to promote the high-quality development of shipping meteorological integration in the Yangtze River Delta region.

To increase the impulse mechanical strength of alumina, the pore structure of alumina was modified by surface coating. It was found that the impulse mechanical strength of alumina samples coated with aluminum chloride increases from 35 MPa to 51 MPa and the mechanical strength of alumina samples coated with aluminum-based complex increases from 21 MPa to 46 MPa at the calcination temperature range of 100 ℃ to 1100 ℃ by the DL-3 typed impulse mechanical strength test device, while the mechanical strength of uncoated alumina samples increases from 17 MPa to 39 MPa. According to scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction, the surface coating of aluminum chloride has little influence on the crystal type of alumina materials after high temperature calcination. At the same time, it can effectively fill the matrix pore of alumina materials, increase the density of the support, and improve the mechanical strength of alumina materials. In addition, compared with the alumina sample coated with aluminum complex, the alumina material coated with aluminum chloride possesses larger surface area and smaller pore size after high temperature calcination. More importantly, the surface of the alumina sample coated with aluminum chloride formed a rough shape after high temperature calcination, which was beneficial to the loading and dispersion of the active metals.

Accurate assessment of the health status of lithium-ion batteries is of great significance for the safety of energy storage systems. Based on the data of a practical lithium-ion energy storage power station, the key parameters that affect the health status of lithium-ion batteries were refined firstly. After that, the effect factors in terms of battery voltage standard score, charging capacity and coulomb efficiency were analyzed, respectively. The single factor indicators through the coefficient of variation method were weighted. Finally, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to quantitatively score the overall health status of batteries was used. According to the assessment, the lithium-ion batteries in the energy storage power station are in good overall health. 91.67% of the lithium-ion batteries have a health score of more than 85, and the remaining 8.33% of the lithium-ion batteries have a health score of less than 85 but still higher than 80. In addition, it is found from the single factor assessment that the consistency of batteries is poor. It is necessary to strengthen the observation of this part of the batteries. This paper provides a quantitative and in-situ non-destructive health status assessment method for lithium-ion batteries based on operation data, which has reference significance for guiding the operation and maintenance of energy storage power stations and ensuring the safe and stable operation.

In order to study the crushing process and its influencing factors of the coal rock ploughing and planing by the plough cutters,the planing process is analyzed by numerical simulation, in view of the fact that coal and rock are heterogeneous media, coal rock images are identified, the three-dimensional model of coal rock is established by image reconstruction method, the accuracy of simulation is increased, it provides a new theory and method for three-dimensional finite element modeling of heterogeneous materials, and obtains more accurate simulation data. Through the simulation of coal crushing process under different conditions of plow bit,get contact force plow bit and simulation of coal wall. The results show that:with the increase of planing depth, plow bit stress force increase, the stress gradually stabilized,but because of the change of the coal quality, the forces fluctuate up and down near a steady value;planing speed has little effect on the plane load;coal rock firmness coefficient is larger,the greater the load simulation tool.

BackgroundLaBr3(Ce) crystal is a new type of inorganic scintillator with excellent properties and is an excellent material for making scintillator detectors. LaBr3(Ce) detector has been widely used in nuclear logging, environmental monitoring, nuclear medicine, and other fields. Detection efficiency of the detector is an important index for the design and development of the detector.PurposeThis study aims to explore the factors affecting the detection efficiency of a LaBr3(Ce) detector by simulation.MethodsFirst of all, the detection model of the LaBr3(Ce) detector was established by using Geant4 toolkits. Then, factors affecting the detection efficiency of the detector, such as the shape and size of crystal cross section, position and the energy of the radioactive source, were studied in details.ResultsThe results show that the detection efficiency is related to the shape and size of crystal cross-section. The detection efficiency of rectangular section is lower than that of circular and square section; the larger the crystal radial size and the shorter the crystal length, the higher the detection efficiency. The detection efficiency of the LaBr3(Ce) detector is related to the energy of the ray: the higher the energy, the lower the detection efficiency. At the same time, the smaller the distance between the source and the detector, the higher the scintillation detection efficiency.ConclusionThe analysis of the influencing factors of detector detection efficiency has a certain reference value and guiding significance for the research and design of LaBr3(Ce) detectors.

In order to study the effect of coal properties on the plow planing cutter load characteristics in the process of coal plough testing by using the self-developed real-time sensor for testing on two planes load properties of coal or rock under,through the wireless acquisition module to collect the test data,get the planer load data curve and carries on the analysis and research on the fractal characteristics of the wavelet. The results show that with the increase of hardness of coal rock,planing force increases gradually,the plough vertical planer X direction,the maximum value of the curve is 35. 642 kN,in the Y direction perpendicular to coal wall,just contact the coal wall produces an instantaneous pulse,reached the minimum value of-19. 831 kN in this curve,in the Z direction along the planer operation,the maximum value is 20. 419 kN; the fractal dimension of load was about1. 5. The fractal dimension in three directions with a coal nature difference,coal load curve fluctuation with lower hardness is more obvious,to reduce the consumption of coal plow cutting coal seam in the process of energy,the smaller the shape factor is better. The results for the properties of coal and rock identification provide a new point of view,to provide data support for the design and optimization of coal plough parts.

In order to study the mechanical and load properties of idler shaft on rocker arm shearer under complicated conditions,used the shaft sensor to test the load of idler shaft on rocker arm under different conditions,and through the wireless module to store and transmit the real-time data,with some test data curves in Z and Y direction obtained. The analysis results show that the load of idler shaft is the largest when coal winning machine under the oblique cutting condition,the largest load of 33. 38 kN in Z direction,the largest load of 35. 60 kN in Y direction,and thoughtout the process,the load in Y direction always larger than Z direction. The results of the study provide a new way for the idler shaft load test and data support for the coal-rock identification method and the fault monitoring on rocker arm shearer,also has important guiding and significance for coal winning machine parts design and optimization.

To ensure liquor quality and improve the brewing process, this study employed headspace solid-phase microextraction combined with comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC x GC-TOF-MS) to analyze Maotai-flavor Baijiu of various qualities. It was determined that Maotai-flavor Baijiu contains 1 063 - 1 347 components, including esters, acids, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, and sulfur-containing substances. The percentages of esters in high-quality Baijiu A1 and A2, as well as mixed-flavor Baijiu B1 and B2, were 58.75%, 55.47%, 42.05%, and 41. 55%, relative contents of alcohols were 17.14%, 16.15%, 26.77%, and 26.92%, respectively. The percentages of acids present were 1.47%, 2.05%, 6.71%, and 7%. 69%. Highquality Baijiu exhibited high levels of ester, low alcohol, and moderate acid, while mixed-flavor Baijiu had low ester, high alcohol, and high acid. Sulfur-containing components such as sulfur ethers, sulfones, thioesters, and thiophenes were more prevalent in mixed-flavor Baijiu, whereas they were either negligible or undetectable in high-quality Baijiu. The use of principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares-discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) revealed significant variations in flavor between high-quality Baijiu and mixed-flavor Baijiu. A total of 85 potential flavor components were identified, each with a variable importance in the projection (VIP) value > 1. Notably, components with VIP > 1 and P < 0. 05 were mapped using a heatmap. The study identified that high-quality Baijiu was characterized by high levels of ethyl butyrate, ethyl caproate, nonanal, and octanal, while mixed-flavor Baijiu had high levels of caproic acid, acetic acid, isobutanol, isoamyl alcohol, etc. The sensory evaluation revealed that the mixed-flavor Baijiu had a lower intensity of ester aroma, a stronger advanced alcohol flavor, a slightly acidic flavor, a slightly unusual aroma, and a lack of crispness, which was consistent with the result of low ester, high alcohol, high acid, and the presence of more sulfur-containing substances. The results of this study indicate that HS-SPME-GC x GC-TOF-MS technology can be used to investigate the Maotai-flavor high-quality Baijiu at the molecular level. Orthohydrogen and parahydrogen (hereinafter referred to as "orthohydrogen-parahydrogen") conversion reaction affects the liquefaction process of hydrogen at low temperature and is an important step in the storage and transportation of liquid hydrogen. Traditional iron-based catalysts face problems such as the aggregative growth of active species, the insufficient resistance ability of water and the poor tolerance ability of high temperature. To solve above problems, α-Fe2O3 was encapsulated into amorphous silica with abundant pore structures, and the encapsulated α-Fe2O3@SiO2 catalyst with high catalytic performance in orthohydrogen-parahydrogen conversion was prepared. SEMXRD and H2-TPR were used to investigate the effects of the encapsulated structure on surface morphologies, crystal structures and reduction abilities of catalysts. The catalytic performances of catalysts were evaluated by test device, and the relationship between the encapsulated structure and catalytic performance was analyzed and summarized. The results show that the encapsulated structure can optimize the pore structure of the catalyst, regulate the electronic property of active sites, improve the structural stability and high temperature tolerance ability of the catalyst, and thereby improve the catalytic performance. When the volume space velocity is 600 min-1, under the action of α-Fe2O3@SiO2 and α-Fe2O3/SiO2 (without encapsulation), parahydrogen volume fractions at the outlet of the device are 41.8% and 37.6%, and the orthohydrogen conversion rates are 22.4% and 16.8%, respectively, indicating that encapsulated iron-based catalysts have high potential for application in the field of orthohydrogenparahydrogen conversion. To overcome the deficiency of large numbers of nonlinear time history analysis for seismic fragility assessment of complex bridge structures, a fragility analysis method based on endurance time method (ETM) is proposed for rapid assessment of bridge fragility. Firstly, several endurance time accelerations (ETA) are synthesized according to ETM and combined with probabilistic seismic demand model. Subsequently, a sample library of finite element model for a long-span steel-truss deck arch bridge is established by using OpenSEES software with the consideration of bridge model uncertainties. ETM and incremental dynamic analysis (IDA) methods are employed to carry out nonlinear time history of the bridge models to obtain the fragility curves of typical components, and the applicability of ETM is validated by comparing the results of the two methods above. Results show that the relative error between ETM and IDA is basically controlled within 5%, indicating that the fragility method based on ETM can effectively take into account both analysis efficiency and calculation accuracy; Under the action of longitudinal earthquake, the seismic indexes (i. e., 0.597g and 0.972g) of approach pier and junction pier of steel-truss deck arch bridge with 50% moderate damage probability are much smaller than that of other components, illustrating that concrete piers are the most vulnerable members. The failure probability of arch ribs and columns under earthquake is small while the vault and arch foot are relatively weak. Monodispersed and spherical gold nanoparticles and over nanoparticles with average is about 50 nm and 45 nm respectively, were synthesized by chemical reduction method using gearing as the protective agents, chioroauric aid SOUSE and over nitrate as metal source, hydrant hydrate as riding agents. UV-vis spectrum (UV-vis), X-ray powder diffraction ( XRD), flourier transform mortared spectrometer (FT-IR)and scorning electron microscope (SEM)were used to check the as-prepared gold and over nanoparticles. Some influencing factors nan the process of preparation of gold and over nanoparticles are briefly discussed. The results show that the prepared gold and over nanopaerieles are small Nan is with narrow distriburion. The amounts of precursor soon, reducing agent and gelatin solution play important roles in the size and morphologies of gold and silver nanoparticles. As the amount of precursor solution, reducing agents and gelatin solution increased, the particles size showed a trend of first decreasing and then increasing. The optimized processing parameters nan this research for preparation of gold and silver nanoparticles can be obtained when the consumption of gelatin solution, precursor solution, and redoing agent is 5,2 and 2 mL,respectively. As When the braking deceleration performance curve of trains need to be processed in a segmentation and approximation way, the braking curves of diff erent types of trains are quite diff erent, there is no unifi ed braking curve segmentation scheme. This paper proposes a method of train braking curve segmentation based on particle swarm optimization. This method takes the braking segment point as the optimization parameter and the braking distance as the optimization target, which can realize the optimal approximation of any segment of the train braking curve. To get an effective electric desalination system, the electrosorption performance of a capactive deionization (CDI) and a membrane capactive deionization (MCDI) was compared. The electrosorption capacity and eleclrosorption rate of CDI and MCDI with different salt concentrations were studied when powdered activated carbon was used as the electrode material. The results showed that as the salt concentration increased from 0. 05 to 0. 5 g/L, the electrosorption capacity of MCDI increased dramatically from 99. 4 to 694. 4 mol/g, while the electrosorption capacity of CDI just increased from 80. 3 to 135. 7 µmol/g. Penicillin fermentation dregs, municipal sludge and saw dust were used as composting raw material to analyze the effect of antibiotic residue on aerobic composting process in this paper. The variation of such physicochemical parameters as temperature, carbon and nitrogen and the degradation of penicillin were analyzed during the aerobic compost process. The feasibility of composting with fermentation dregs was analyzed using 0.4 m³ volume reactors and the detail compost process were analyzed using five 6 L volume reactor. Results show that the temperature rise rate of co-compost process has an advantage over municipal sludge compost process. The content of total organic carbon (TOC) in mixed material is directly proportional to fermentation dregs, which also decreases with compost time and tends to stable finally. Results also show that the penicillin residue doesn't affect the TOC varation trend. The water soluble organic carbon (WSOC) and microbial utilization carbon increases with the adding fermentation dregs, which is helpful to microbial transformation and contribute to increase the compost temperature. Adding fermentation dregs is also helpful to reduce the loss of nitrogen and no penicillin residue can be detected on the 5th day of composting process, which shows the resource utilization of fermentation dregs and the degradation of antibiotic residue can be achieved by co-compost process. In the middle of the sixth century, the Mediterranean world saw the first outbreak of bubonic plague, an episode known to history as the Plague of Justinian. However, some modern Byzantine historians appear to be "aphasic" on this subject. Although very familiar with the relevant materials, they have failed to give enough attention to this event. This unconscious "amnesia" comes from the fact that, as the environment was not yet the topic of the day, their research mostly concentrated on the internal and external policies of Justinian I and neglected the devastating impact of this "natural disaster." This kind of value choice, judgment and orientation among modern scholars of Byzantine history shows that though people may do their best to reconstruct the memory of life of the past, they always consciously or unconsciously select their own memories, implying some degree of "amnesia." Kosovo's problem is the typical one of the Balkan's, which has a long history without common interests and district coherence. It is necessary for this district to have a historical conformity process under one kind of strong power, making many different ethical elements together into a modern nation -- state. Background and purpose: The response rate of gastric cancer patients to programmed death-1 (PD-1) inhibitor is relatively low. Establishing a useful efficacy prediction method to screen the superior gastric cancer patients receiving anti-PD-1 therapy could improve the prognosis of patients. This study aimed to explore the value of combined detection of lactate dehydrogenase (LDHA) and programmed death ligand-1 (PD-L1) expressions in predicting the efficacy and prognosis of gastric cancer patients treated with PD-1 inhibitor. Methods: The clinicopathological data of 50 advanced gastric cancer patients treated with PD-1 inhibitor in The First Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College from January 2020 to March 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The independent risk factors affecting the efficacy of PD-1 inhibitor were analyzed by multivariate logistic regression. The value of combined detection of LDHA and PD-L1 in predicting the efficacy of PD-1 inhibitors in gastric cancer was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. Gastric cancer patient survival was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier method. Results: The objective response rate (ORR) of gastric cancer patients receiving PD-1 inhibitor therapy in LDHA low and high expression groups were 59% and 10%, respectively. Background and purpose: Gastric cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors of digestive system. Previous study demonstrated that circSMARCA5 was downregulated and could function as a tumor suppressor in gastric cancer. However, the molecular mechanism has not yet been documented. This study aimed to investigate the effects of circSMARCA5 on the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells and their molecular mechanisms. Methods: Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assays and transwell assays were performed to examine the cell proliferative and invasive abilities, respectively. The effect of circSMARCA5 on gastric cancer cell glycolysis was assessed by detecting the extracellular acidification rate, glucose uptake level and lactate production. Real-time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RTFQ-PCR) assay was performed to detect the expression levels of circSMARCA5, miR-4295 and PTEN. The levels of GLUT1 and LDHA were measured by Western blot assay. The transplanted xenograft model in nude mice was established, and the effects of circSMARCA5 on the tumor growth were observed. Immunohistochemistry assays were performed to examine the expression levels of GLUT1, LDHA and Ki-67 proliferation index in xenograft tumors. Dual luciferase reporter gene assays, Pearson's correlation analysis and RNA immunoprecipitation (RIP) assays were used to confirm the targeting relationship of circSMARCA5 and miR-4295 as well as miR-4295 and PTEN. Results: CircSMARCA5 overexpression inhibited the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells. Compared to the control group, the glycolysis rate, glycolysis capacity, glucose uptake and lactate production in the circSMARCA5-overexpresing group were significantly decreased. In addition, nude mouse transplanted xenograft assays showed that the volume and the weight of the tumors in the circSMARCA5-overexpressing group were lower compared with the control group. Further studies indicated that circSMARCA5 acted as a molecular sponge to inhibit the expression of miR-4295. Besides, miR-4295 could inhibit the expression of PTEN by binding with the 3'-UTR of PTEN mRNA. Rescue experiments by upregulating miR-4295 or downregulating PTEN expression in the circSMARCA5-overexpressing gastric cancer cells were performed, and the results showed that upregulation of miR-4295 or PTEN knockdown could abolish the inhibitory effects of circSMARCA5 overexpression on cell proliferation, invasion and glycolysis. Conclusion: CircSMARCA5 suppresses the proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer cells by targeting miR-4295, increasing the expression level of PTEN and subsequently regulating glycolysis.

Objective To explore the value of double labeling of P16/ki67, E6/E7 mRNA of human papillomavirus (HPV) and combined detection in shunt diagnosis of low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL) by thin-layer cervical cytology (TCT). Methods The study enrolled 239 patients who underwent colposcopy and biopsy within 4 weeks after primary TCT diagnosis. The remaining cytological samples were double-labeled with P16/ki67 immunocytochemical staining and the HPV E6/E7 mRNA was detected by Panther automatic HPV E6/E7 mRNA detection system. Using SPSS22.0 software, the positive rates of P16/ki67 double-labeling, HPV E6/E7 mRNA and combined detection were analyzed in different cervical lesions, and the positive rates in the same cervical lesions were compared horizontally to evaluate the efficiency of double labeling of P16/ki67, HPV E6/E7 and combined detection in the diagnosis of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and above lesions. Results The diagnostic results of HE staining for the 239 cases of LSIL were 71 cases of chronic cervicitis (29.71%), 143 cases of LSIL (59.83%), 22 cases of HSIL (9.20%) and 3 cases of cervical cancer (1.26%). There were 46 cases of P16 + ki67 + lesions (19.25%), 41 cases of ki67 + P16 - lesions (17.15%), 33 cases of ki67 - P16 + lesions (13.81%) and 119 cases of P16-ki67- lesions (49.79%). The positive rates of P16/ki67 double-labeling, HPV E6/E7 mRNA and combined detection increased with the severity of cervical lesions. The positive rate of combined detection was the highest in the HSIL lesions, which was higher than that of P16/ki67 double-labeling and HPV E6/E7 mRNA detection. The sensitivity of combined detection was higher than that of P16/ki67 double-labeling and HPV E6/E7 mRNA detection. The Youden index of joint detection was 0.7850. Conclusion The combined detection of P16/ki67 double labeling, HPV E6/E7 mRNA and HPV E6/E7 mRNA had a certain clinical value in the management of cell LSIL shunt diagnosis. The combined detection significantly improved the sensitivity and Youden index of HSIL and above lesions, while maintaining a high specificity and coincidence rate.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of human papillomavirus (HPV) E6/E7 mRNA combined with P16/antigen KI-67(ki67) immunocytochemical double staining in the atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASCUS). Methods A total of 272 patients were selected and the results of HPV E6/E7 and P16/ki67 immunocytochemical double staining in the remaining cytological specimens were retrospectively analyzed. HPV E6/E7 gene was detected by HPV E6/E7 gene detection kit and Panther molecular diagnostic instrument. P16/ki67 was detected by immunocytochemical staining and Ventana Benchmark Ultra immunohistochemical staining instrument. Then we analyzed the difference of positive rate between the two detection methods in the same grade of cervical epithelial lesions, explored the difference of the two detection methods and their combined detection in the diagnosis of high grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL), and finally evaluated the role of different detection methods in shunt diagnosis of ASCUS. Results Histopathological findings of cervical cytology ASCUS includes chronic cervicitis, low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL), HSIL and cervical cancer. The positive rate of simple molecular diagnosis or immunocytochemical staining increased with the severity of cervical lesions. In cervicitis and LSIL lesion group, the difference between the positive rates of the two methods was obvious, but in HSIL and cervical cancer lesion group, there was no significant difference between the positive rates of the two methods. The sensitivity, specificity, Yoden index, coincidence rate, positive predictive value and negative predictive value were 95.65%, 85.40%, 0.81, 87.13%, 57.14% and 98.97%, respectively. Conclusion The detection of HPV E6/E7 and P16/ki67 immunocytochemical staining has certain significance in ASCUS shunt diagnosis. The combined detection of HPV E6/E7 and P16/ki67 can significantly improve the sensitivity of shunt diagnosis and maintain a good specificity.

Objective: To investigate paraffin section thickness in immunohistochemical detection of p16 expression in cervical tissue samples., Methods: p16 immunohistochemical staining was performed in 150 cases of chronic cervicitis, 126 cases of low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions(LSIL), 96 cases of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) and 78 cases of cervical cancer from January 2014 to March 2018 in Zhongshan Boai Hospital. The results of p16 protein expression in paraffin sections with thickness of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 μm were compared using Logistic regression analysis., Results: With the increase of slice thickness, the staining of p16 protein in nucleus gradually increased. The thickness of cervical slices in chronic cervicitis and cervical cancer samples had no significant effect on the positive rate of p16 protein( χ 2 =7.817 and 1.332, both P >0.05), while the thickness of slices in LSIL and HSIL samples had significant effect on the positive rate of p16 protein ( χ 2 =17.688 and 10.182, P <0.05 or P <0.01). The stable and reliable results were obtained when the slices were between 3 and 5 μm thick., Conclusions: Paraffin sections with thickness of 3.0-5.0 μm are recommended for immnohistochemical staining of p16 protein in cervical tissue samples.

Objective: To investigate the effects of the volume of 4% neutral phosphate buffered formalin fixative solution on the detection of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 ( HER2 ) gene by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) in primary invasive breast cancer., Methods: Tissue samples were collected from 109 patients with primary invasive breast cancer admitted in Zhongshan Boai Hospital from June 2014 to October 2016. The ratios of 4% phosphate buffered formalin fixative solution to sample volume samples were 3:1, 6:1, 9:1, 10:1, 15:1, 20:1 or 25:1 (groups A, B, C, D, E, F and G), respectively. Paraffin sections were made after 15 h of fixation. The amplification of HER2 gene was detected by FISH. The gene amplification results of HER2 were observed and compared in different groups., Results: Fluorescence microscope showed that the tissue contour in groups A, B and C was vague, cell debris appeared, and the probe was positioned poorly; while the tissue contour was clear and complete in groups D, E, F and G and the probe was positioned accurately. The positive rate of HER2 was gradually increased from group A to D( χ 2 =8.601, P <0.01), and that remained stable at 24.77% in groups D to G. The positive rate of gene amplification in groups D, E, F and G was significantly higher than that in groups A, B and C (all P <0.05)., Conclusions: When using FISH to detect HER2 gene in samples of primary breast invasive carcinoma, the volume of fixative solution should be at least 10 times of the sample volume to obtain accurate and stable results.

Objective: To observe the effect of Van-Clear on vamplification of human telomerase RNA component (hTERC) gene in cervical tissues by fluorescence in situ hybridization, and to determine the potential for Van-Clear to replace xylene.
, Methods: A total of 278 specimens of cervix uteri were collected from inpatients of Department of Gynaecology in Boai Hospital of Zhongshan from January to February, 2015, with 81 cases of normal specimens, 68 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) I, 57cases of CIN2, 42 cases of CIN3 and 30 cases of cervical invasive cancer. Double samples were collected from the same region. Fluorescence in situ hybridization was applied to detect the changes in the amplification of hTERC gene in 2 groups of specimens from the cervical biopsy.
, Results: Differences in the positive expression rate of hTERC gene between the 2 groups of cervical lesions at all levels were not statistically significant (P>0.05).
, Conclusion: There is no significant difference in the positive rate of hTERC gene expression between the slices made by Van-clear and xylene. As an environmental-friend product, Van-Clear possesses certain value in detection of cervical hTERC gene by fluorescence in situ hybridization.

Objective: To explore the relationship between the relevant factors and prostate cancer among Hui and Han populations., Methods: The study involved 267 prostate cancer patients as cases (214 cases from Han population and 53 cases from Hui population) and 534 prostatic hyperplasia patients as controls (428 cases from Han population and 106 cases from Hui population). All the patients were collected from the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University during January of 2007 to September of 2013. The level of fasting blood glucose (FBG), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), total prostate specific antigen (T-PSA), free prostate specific antigen (F-PSA) and free/total prostate specific antigen (F/T-PSA) were collected from the clinical medical records of the patients. Data were analyzed by the conditional logistic regression method, and attributable risk proportion(ARP) was calculated., Results: In Hui population, the risk of prostate cancer for drinkers was 20.48 times higher than the non-drinkers (35.8% (19/53) to 5.7% (6/106), OR = 20.48, 95% CI: 4.95-84.66). The high level of F-PSA significantly increased the risk of prostate cancer for Hui group (83.0% (44/53) to 55.7% (59/106), OR = 4.27, 95%CI: 1.18-15.43). In contrast, the high TG level decreased the risk of prostate cancer for Hui group (18.9% (10/53) to 20.8% (22/106), OR = 0.24, 95% CI: 0.07-0.83). In Han population, the risk of prostate cancer for smokers was 1.89 times higher than the non-smokers (55.1% (118/214) to 39.7% (170/428), OR = 1.89, 95% CI: 1.28-2.78). Either high level of T-PSA or F-PSA increased the risk of prostate cancer for Han group (86.4% (185/214) to 53.7% (230/428),OR = 2.34, 95%CI:1.22-4.52;85.5% (183/214) to 56.1% (240/428), OR = 2.43, 95% CI:1.29-4.59). However, the high TG level or high ratio of F/T-PSA decreased the risk of prostate cancer (15.4% (33/214) to 18.7% (80/428), OR = 0.59, 95% CI:0.36-0.98; 53.3% (114/214) to 73.4% (314/428), OR = 0.53, 95% CI:0.36-0.78). The APRs of drinking and high level of F-PSA in Han populations were 66.6%, 62.4% in Hui populations , and the APRs of smoking and high level of T-PSA, high level of F-PSA were 33.8%, 71.3%, 67.3% in Han populations., Conclusion: Both drinking and high level of F-PSA might be the risky factors of prostate cancer while the high TG level might be protective factor for Hui group. However, for Han population, smoking, high T-PSA level, and high F-PSA level might be risky factors for prostate cancer while the high TG level and high ratio of F/T-PSA might be protective factors. In summary, the clinical relevant factors of prostate cancer may play different roles between Hui and Han populations in Ningxia region.

Objective: To explore the value of combining T₂-weighted imaging (T₂WI), diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) and dynamic contrast enhanced-magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) for qualitatively diagnosing central gland prostate cancer (CGPCa) as a gold standard with pathologic findings., Methods: A total of 42 cases with CGPCa and 42 cases with benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) proved by pathology were followed up with T₂WI, DWI and DCE-MRI examinations retrospectively. The diagnosis sensitivity and specificity by T2WI, DWI, DCE-MRI alone and combination were calculated respectively. And the consistency of MRI diagnosis and pathological results was judged by Kappa value and the diagnostic value of each method evaluated by Az of receiver operating characteristic curve., Results: While using T2WI alone, the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, Az and Kappa value was 66.7%, 76.2%, 0.714 and 0.429; DWI 78.6%, 81.0%, 0.798 and 0.595; DCE-MRI 83.3%, 61.9%, 0.726 and 0.452, Az between DWI and T₂WI was statistically significant (P < 0.05) while DCE-MRI insignificant (P > 0.05). When combining T₂WI+DWI+DCE-MRI, the diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, Az and Kappa value was 90.5%, 88.1%, 0.893 and 0.786, Az between T₂WI+DWI+DCE-MRI and T₂WI, DWI and DCE-MRI was statistically significant respectively (all P < 0.05)., Conclusion: DWI is better than T₂WI for diagnosing CGPCa. Combining T₂WI+DWI+DCE-MRI can obviously improve the diagnostic accuracy of CGPCa. And it has excellent consistency with pathological analysis.

Hematogenous metastasis is common in lung cancer, and except for small cell lung cancer and melanoma, tumors with extensive metastasis seldom involve the prostate. The treatment of lung adenocarcinoma with prostate metastasis relies mainly on systemic chemotherapy with rigorous treatment of the primary lesions and metastatic palliative radiotherapy. Comprehensive treatment integrating traditional Chinese medicine may improve the quality of life of the patients.

Medical image fusion and recognition has a wide range of applications, such as focal location, cancer staging and treatment effect assessment. Multi-model medical image fusion and recognition are analyzed and summarized in this paper. Firstly, the question of multi-model medical image fusion and recognition is discussed, and its advantage and key steps are discussed. Secondly, three fusion strategies are reviewed from the point of algorithm, and four fusion recognition structures are discussed. Thirdly, difficulties, challenges and possible future research direction are discussed.

With the emergence of avian flu, influence A virus and other diseases, the development of rapid, real-time, label-free biological sensors has become increasingly significant at the early detection and clinical diagnoses of various diseases. Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) have unique one-dimensional structure, special electrical properties, good biocompatibility and size compatibility, so that the SWNTs have great potential uses in the biosensor fields due to these advantages. This article reviews recent examples of carbon nanotubes field-effect transistor (CNTFET) as a label-free biosensors for detecting a variety of biological macromolecules, such as protein, enzyme, DNA, cancer, virus, carbohydrate and so on.

Objective: To study the effect of supplementing Qi-nourishing Yin and dispersing blood stasis-dredging collateral herbs on p38 mitogen activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) signaling pathway in the kidney of early diabetic rats., Method: Dividing SD rats randomly into 6 groups: Simple nephrectomy group, model group, irbesatan group, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) low dose group, TCM middle dose group and TCM high dose group. Each group of rats was fed with the corresponding dose of medicine. After 6 weeks, detecting 24 h urine protein (UPro) level, renal function, p38 MAPK mRNA and p-p38 MAPK protein level., Result: UPro levels of irbesatan group, TCM low group and TCM middle dose group decreased significantly (P < 0.05) , compared with that of the model group. Renal function of the treated groups was improved greatly and their p38 MAPK mRNA and p-p38MAPK protein levels decreased significantly (P < 0.05), compared with those of the model group., Conclusion: Supplementing Qi-nourishing Yin-dispersing blood stasis-dredging collateral herbs could treat DN rats effectively by inhibiting the expression of p38 MAPK signaling pathway.

Objective: To study plasma protein binding rate of bufalin., Method: HPLC was employed to determine the concentration of bufalin. Plasma protein binding rate studies were conducted by equilibrium dialysis method. The influence of drug concentration and plasma in different species on plasma protein binding rate were studied., Result: There was no significant difference in the plasma protein binding rates at low, middle and high bufalin concentrations in dilution medium. The protein binding rate of bufalin in human plasma was higher than in the rat plasma., Conclusion: Bufalin has higher protein binding extent with both rat plasma and human plasma.

There is close relationship between the morphologic changes of peripheral nerve after injury and its function recovery during regeneration. In our experiment, the sciatic nerve of rats was transected and bridge-connected with silicone tube, and the images of serial slices of different time and different injury parts were taken by micro-photograph system. The volume unit model was applied to rendering the three dimensional (3D) structure of degenerative and regenerative sciatic nerve fiber and its affiliated structure after injury. The 3D images showed that node of Ranvier had not formed and its array was turbulent, both the myelin sheath and the axis-cylinder were thinner, and the collagen fibres had proliferated.

Objective: To observe the effect of Chinese drugs of Jianpi Huayu (JPHY, strengthening Pi and dissolving stasis) on healing quality of gastric ulcer and its mechanism., Methods: The gastric ulcer model was established by subserous injection of ethanoic acid in rats. Rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, the blank group, the model group, the ranitidine (RT) group and the JPHY group. Quantity of regenerative mucosa of healed gastric ulcer was determined using HE stain, epidermal growth factor (EGF) content in serum and stomach mucosa was detected by RIA and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) protein expression was determined by immunohistochemistry., Results: Thickness of regenerated mucosa in the CHM group was higher than that in the model group and the RT group (P<0.05 or P<0.01); EGF content in mucosa in the JPHY group and the RT group was higher than that in the model group (P<0.01) and EGFR protein expression in the JPHY group was higher than that in the model group (P<0.05)., Conclusion: JPHY could improve the proliferation of epithelial cells, inhibit gastric acid, improve microcirculation of gastric mucosa through the mediation of EGFR, so as to elevate the healing quality of gastric ulcer, display its anti-ulcer action.
