ObjectiveTo identify the correlation of dietary inflammatory index （DII） with sarcopenia in patients with chronic kidney disease （CKD） based on the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey （NHANES） database.MethodsData from 1999-2006 and 2012-2018 in the NHANES database were analyzed. DII was calculated from dietary data， and patients were divided into DII Q1， DII Q2， DII Q3， and DII Q4 groups based on DII quartiles. Age， gender and the prevalence of sarcopenia were compared between the groups. Logistic regression model was used to analyze the relationship between DII and sarcopenia in patients with trend and stratification analysis. Restricted cubic spline plots （RCS） were used to analyze a nonlinear relationship between DII and sarcopenia.ResultsA total of 1，660 CKD patients were included in this study. Objective To investigate the association between dietary inflammatory index (DII) and osteoporosis in the population with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Methods The data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) for the years 2017-2018 were utilized in this study, with a total of 1686 participants included. Participants were divided into two groups based on whether they had osteoporosis, and the general characteristics of the two groups were compared. The participants were stratified into tertiles based on the DII score. Utilizing the recommended NHANES weights, binary logistic regression was employed to analyze the relationship between DII and osteoporosis. Additionally, linear correlation analysis was conducted to examine the correlation between DII and bone mineral density (BMD). Results Compared with the non- osteoporosis group, participants in the osteoporosis group were found to have older age, lower BMI, higher proportion of females, and higher DII scores, with statistically significant differences (all P < 0.05); Binary logistic regression analysis revealed a significant association between DII and the risk of osteoporosis in the NAFLD population (adjusted odds ratio [OR] = 1.34, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.07-1.68, P=0.010) after adjusting for all potential confounding factors. Compared to the T1 group, the T3 group had a higher risk of developing osteoporosis (adjusted OR 3. 19, 95% CI: 1.34-7.58, P=0.009) after adjusting for all potential confounding factors. Correlation analysis showed a negative correlation between DII scores and femoral neck BMD, lumbar spine BMD, and total hip BMD (r=0.0661, 0.0649, 0.132 9, P 0.032, 0.049, <0.001, respectively). Conclusion The association between a higher DII score, representing a pro-inflammatory diet, and the risk of osteoporosis in the NAFLD population was observed. Objective To explore the association between dietary inflammatory index (DII) and osteoporosis (OP) in patients with hypertension based on the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database. Methods Patients with hypertension who participated in the NHANES from 2013-2014 and 2017-2018 were studied. A total of 1667 cases were finally included, and relevant data were collected and analyzed. The patients with hypertension were categorized into DII Q1, DII Q2, DII Q3, and DII Q4 groups based on the quartiles of DII. Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between DII and OP with trend analysis. Subgroup logistic regression was used to analyze the correlation between DII and OP in patients with hypertension in different genders. Restricted cubic spline plots (RCS) were used to analyze the quantitative and qualitative relationship between DII and OP risk in patients with hypertension. Results The prevalence of OP in patients with hypertension in DII Q1, DII Q2, DII Q3, and DII Q4 groups was 35.49% (148/417), 38.13% (159/417), 42.93% (179/417), and 47.36% (197/416), respectively, with a statistically significant difference (=14.240, P=0.003). After correcting for all confounders, DII was still significantly associated with the risk of OP in patients with hypertension (OR=1.017, 95% CI: 1.005-1.029, P<0.05). Compared to that in the DII Q1 group, the risk of OP in patients with hypertension in the DII Q3 group and DII Q4 group increased by 0.752-fold and 2.261-fold, respectively (P<0.05). After gender stratification, there was a trend of increasing OR for OP risk in the DII Q1, DII Q2, DII Q3, and DII Q4 groups among female patients with hypertension (Pfor trend<0.001). RCS analysis showed a nonlinear association between DII and OP risk in patients with hypertension (P nonlinear=0.014). Conclusion　DII is an independent risk factor for OP in hypertensive patients. Objective To investigate the relationship between Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) and sarcopenia in older adults and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of sarcopenia. Methods From January 2022 to January 2023, 253 older adults over 60 years old were recruited in Chengdu. DII were calculated according to the semi - quantitative food frequency questionnaire, and the groups were divided into QI - Q4 according to the DII from low to high, sarcopenia was diagnosed according to Asian Working Group for sarcopenia 2019. The relationship between DII and sarcopenia was estimated by logistic regression analysis. Results After controlling confounding factors, compared with the QI group, the risk of sarcopenia in the Q3 group and Q4 group was 3. 94 times and 7. 02 times higher than that in the QI group (P < 0. 05), and the risk of sarcopenia increases in older adults with higher DIE Conclusion Higher DII increases the risk of sarcopenia, and it is recommended to provide dietary guidance for older adults to reduce the risk of sarcopenia affected by DIE. Proinflammatory diet can stimulate the body to develop chronic low-grade inflammation， leading to the occurrence of chronic non-communicable diseases and the accumulation of multiple systems. The purpose of this review is to present recent research on the effects of proinflammatory diet on inflammation and multisystem diseases. It outlines six common proinflammatory diets， such as diets rich in red meat， refined grains， diets of the imbalanced ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acid or rich in trans fatty acids， fried and grilled diets， high-sugar， and high-fat diets， and the three common evaluation methods of proinflammatory diets were summarized. This article emphasized the correlation between inflammatory states induced by proinflammatory diets and multisystem diseases， and provides an essential scientific basis for formulating intervention strategies for proinflammatory diet-related diseases in the future.

Background Dietary inflammatory index (DII), as a new index for quantitative evaluation of dietary inflammatory potential, has been widely used in various chronic disease studies, but the correlation between DII and different types of obesity has not been uniformly established. Objective To systematically evaluate the correlation of DII with overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity to provide reference for the prevention of different types of obesity. Methods CNKI, Wanfang Data, VIP, CBM, PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and Web of Science were searched by computer for cross-sectional studies of the association of DII with overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity from inception to January 10, 2023. Risk of Bias Rating Scale of AHRQ was used to evaluate the included studies. Meta-analysis was performed using RevMan 5.4.1 to calculate OR and 95%CI of the pooled data to assess the association of DII with overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity. Subgroup analyses were performed based on differences in gender, study geography, survey method, number of DII components, whether the sample population was healthy, diagnostic criteria, and type of DII grouping. Results A total of 20 studies from 9 countries with 214 808 subjects were included. Meta-analysis results showed that high levels of DII may be a possible risk factor for overweight 〔OR=1.12, 95%CI (1.03, 1.22), P=0.005〕, obesity 〔OR=1.56, 95%CI (1.34, 1.82), P0.05). Among the subgroups for the correlation between DII and obesity, the male population〔OR=1.79, 95%CI (1.13, 2.85) 〕 had a higher proportion of obesity than the other gender groups, the North American population 〔OR=1.57, 95%CI (1.27, 1.83) 〕 had a higher proportion of obesity compared to populations from other geographic regions, and the results of the 24-h recall 〔OR=1.83, 95%CI (1.39, 2.42) 〕 had a higher proportion of obesity compared to studies with other survey methods. Among the subgroups for the correlation between DII and abdominal obesity, the North American population 〔OR=1.87, 95%CI (1.44, 2.44) 〕 had a higher proportion of abdominal obesity compared to populations from other geographic regions, and no significant heterogeneity was found among other groups. The funnel plot distribution in this study had good symmetry, suggesting no significant publication bias. Conclusion DII diets may be a risk factor for overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity, and the association is more obvious in North American populations. The association between a high DII diet and obesity was more significant in men. Increasing the intake of anti-inflammatory dietary components is important for the prevention and treatment of overweight, obesity and abdominal obesity.

Background Dietary components can produce a variety of bioactive substances that maintain a low inflammatory state in the body and participate in the formation of the tumor microenvironment. The dietary inflammatory index (DII) is a new indicator to quantify the inflammatory potential of diet. High DII score is closely associated with the risk of colorectal cancer, but its relationship with upper gastrointestinal cancer (UGIC) is unclear. Objective This study was conducted to assess the relationship between DII and the risk of UGIC, providing a scientific basis for dietary guidance. Methods We did a systematic search of PubMed, Web of Science, Embase and the Cochrane Library for studies on the association of DII score and UGIC published in English, and Wanfang Data, CNKI and VIP for those published in Chinese, from inception to October 10, 2022. Two researchers performed literature screening, data extraction, and quality evaluation separately. RevMan 5.4.1 was used for meta-analysis and subgroup analysis. Results A total of 11 case-control studies including 9 051 participants were included in this study. The purpose of this paper is to review the relationship between dietary inflammatory index and mental disorders， so as to provide references for nutritional interventions for patients with mental disorders. The high disability rate and intractability of mental illness bring huge economic burden and medical pressure to patients' families and society. Dietary nutrition is crucial to the rehabilitation of mental illness. As a new type of index to measure food pro-inflammatory index， dietary inflammatory index is closely related to the occurrence and development of mental illness. Therefore， this paper reviews the development， calculation and correlation with mental illness of dietary inflammatory index.
