Objective: To Explore the therapeutic effect and safety observation of focused ultrasound combined with nourishing yin and kidney formula in non tumor like lesions of the external genitalia epithelium. Methods: A total of 120 patients with non-tumor lesions admitted to 2022.5-2024.5 were divided into observation group and control group, with 60 cases each. The observation group was given local treatment with focal ultrasound and oral nourishing Yin and tonifying kidney, while the control group was only given local treatment with focal ultrasound. Compare the relevant indicators. Results: Compared with the control group, the observation group was able to further reduce the lesion area, reduce the vulva pruritus score and skin elasticity score, and improve the overall treatment response rate, and reduce the recurrence rate(P<0.05). In addition, VE GF expression was increased and CD34 expression was decreased in the observation group after treatment (P<0.05). Conclusions: Focused ultrasound combined with nourishing Yin and tonifying kidney prescription can quickly and effectively treat non-tumor lesions in the vulva epithelium, with high therapeutic effective rate and low recurrence rate. Moreover, the combination treatment can improve the local microcirculation of the lesions by improving the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and vascular marker CD34, and then show excellent efficacy. BACKGROUND: Current studies have shown that both focused and pulsed ultrasound can effectively improve the pathological performance of traumatic knee osteoarthritis, but it is not clear whether there is a difference between the two therapies. OBJECTIVE: To compare low-intensity focused ultrasound and low-intensity pulsed ultrasound in the treatment of mild traumatic knee osteoarthritis. METHODS: A retrospective study was conducted in 60 mild traumatic knee osteoarthritis patients treated with low-intensity focused ultrasound (n=30) or low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (n=30). Patients in both groups received drug treatments combined with low-intensity pulsed ultrasound or low-intensity focused ultrasound for 8 weeks. Assessments and measurements were conducted before treatment, on the day after treatment, and 3 months after treatment, including Visual Analogue Scale for assessing pain, the Western Ontario and McMaster University (WOMAC) Osteoarthritis Index for assessing joint function of the affected knee, and ELISA kits for detecting serum levels of interleukin-1β, interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor α. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Compared with pre-treatment data, the Visual Analog Scale score, WOMAC score, and serum inflammatory factor levels were significantly decreased after treatment with low-intensity focused ultrasound and low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (P < 0.05). This therapeutic effect lasted for at least 3 months. Low-intensity focused ultrasound induced lower Visual Analogue Scale score, WOMAC score, and serum levels of interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor α as compared to the low-intensity focused ultrasound. It is suggested that both low-intensity focused ultrasound and low-intensity pulsed ultrasound can effectively treat mild traumatic knee osteoarthritis, and the low-intensity focused ultrasound has a better outcome than the low-intensity pulsed ultrasound. The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is a special protective barrier existing between the blood and brain tissues. The primary function of BBB is to selectively prevent most solutes in the blood from invading the central nervous system (CNS) and avoid damage to CNS， thereby effectively maintaining the stability and normal physiological function of CNS environment. However，in some CNS diseases，BBB also blocks most therapeutic drugs fromentering the central nervous system，which would affect the treatment effect. Therefore，how to open BBB safely and reversibly has become the focus of research in recent years. Recent studies have shown that focused ultrasound-microbubbles therapy(FUS-MB) can open BBB transiently，locally， reversibly and noninvasively， and open up a new approach for targeted therapy of intracranial diseases. Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect and infulence on immune function of high intensity focused ultrasound therapy in patients with allergic rhinitis. Method: 41 patients with allergic rhinitis were randomly selected to undergo the treatment of high intensity focused ultrasound. The IL-2, IL-4, IL-10, IFN-γ and histamine levels in the serum were measured and compared before and at 6 months after treatment. Result: The levels of serum IL-4, IL-10 and histamine were significantly higher and the levels of serum IL-2 and IFN-γ were significantly lower in patients with allergic rhinitis than those in healthy contronls (P<0.05). The symptoms of all patients were alleviated such as nasal itching, sneezing and clear nasal discharge flow after 6 months. The levels of serumIL-4, IL-10 and histamine was lower (P<0.05) at 6 months after treatment than pretreatment except for IL-2 and IFN-γ (P>0.05). Conclusion: High intensity focused ultrasound was minimally invasive, simple, safe in the treatment of allergic rhinitis, it could quickly relieve the nasal mucosa reaction, and significantly improve the allergic immune status of the allergic rhinitis patients. Objective To explore the risk factors for incident endometrial injury and 3-month endometrial injury after magnetic resonance-guided focused ultrasound(MRgFUS)ablation of uterine fibroids(UF). Methods UF patients who were diagnosed in Peking Union Medical College Hospital and underwent MRgFUS ablation in Amcare Women's and Children's Hospital from August 2016 to October 2020 were retrospectively enrolled in this study.Clinical data of 66 UF patients were collected and compared between endometrial injury group and non-injury group.Stepwise regression was employed to determine the risk factors for the incident endometrial injury and 3-month endometrial injury.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to explore the relationship of endometrial injury with age,pre-ablation tumor size,multiple UF,International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO)classification,T2WI signal intensity,and treatment time.Results In terms of incident endometrial injury,the 66 patients included 41(62.1%)cases with no injury,4 cases(6.1%) with grade 1 injury,5 cases(7.6%)with grade 2 injury,and 16 cases(24.2%)with grade 3 injury.In terms of 3-month endometrial injury,the 66 patients included 49 cases(74.2%)with no injury,5 cases(7.6%)with grade 1 injury,2 cases(3.0%)with grade 2 injury,and 10 cases(15.2%)with grade 3 injury.Stepwise regression analysis indicated that FIGO classification was significantly associated with incident endometrial injury( B =-0.121, SE =0.045, β =-0.326, t =-2.670, P =0.010)and 3-month endometrial injury( B =-0.125, SE =0.042, β =-0.375, t =-2.989, P =0.004).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that FIGO classification was an independent risk factor for incident endometrial injury[ OR =0.518(0.307-0.873), P =0.014]and 3-month endometrial injury[ OR =0.456(0.253-0.824), P =0.009].Conclusions Endometrial injury could be controlled after MRgFUS ablation of UF and recover to some extent after 3 months.FIGO classification was an independent risk factor for both incident and 3-month endometrial injury.
