ObjectiveEcosystem services are the link between ecosystems and social systems. While effectively coordinating regional ecological, social and economic needs and promoting carbon sequestration and emission reduction, ecosystem services can be transmitted to surrounding areas to boost regional ecological space optimization. Under the guidance of the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, clarifying the positive impact of ecosystem services on net carbon sink efficiency in metropolitan areas and the spillover effect of ecosystem services can effectively contribute to regional ecosystem service enhancement, and realize efficient carbon sequestration and reduction in ecological space.MethodsSupported by multi-source panel data spanning the period from 2010 to 2020, this research takes the Shanghai Metropolitan Area as the research object and divides the research area into 40 research units. Based on the multiple benefits of ecosystem services in synergistically promoting urban sink enhancement and emission reduction, this research constructs a net carbon sink efficiency indicator system. Then, utilizing the undesirable slacks-based measurement (SBM) model, the research evaluates the net carbon sink efficiency of each unit during the period from 2010 to 2020, and further explores the distributional characteristics and spatial-temporal changes of carbon sinks, carbon emissions, and net carbon sink efficiency from the geospatial perspective. In combination with the guiding content of spatial synergistic planning for the Shanghai Metropolitan Area, four important ecosystem services, namely water retention, water purification, soil retention and biodiversity maintenance, are quantitatively characterized with the InVEST model. Subsequently, based on the spatial decomposition effects (direct, indirect and total effects) obtained with spatial econometric model, the influencing mechanisms of ecosystem services and their interrelationship on the net carbon sink efficiency of 40 research units are analyzed. In addition, the spatial spillover effects of ecosystem services are innovatively revealed according to ecosystem service flow conduction mechanisms.ResultsResearch results are summarized as follows. 1) During the 11 years from the 2010 to 2020, the growth of carbon dioxide emissions in the Shanghai Metropolitan Area gradually slowed down, while the net primary productivity of vegetation continued to increase, and the areas with high carbon emissions and high carbon sinks were partially overlapped; in addition, the net carbon sink efficiency of some core nodes, such as Shanghai City, maintained a steady improvement, effectively driving neighboring cities to reduce carbon emissions and increase carbon sinks; meanwhile, the areas with improved net carbon sink efficiency have some similar characteristics and can be divided into 2 types: areas with high production value, high carbon emissions, and high carbon sinks, and those with medium-high production value, low carbon emissions, and medium-high carbon sinks. 2) The four ecosystem services have significant spatial heterogeneity and relatively stable changes over the 11-year period, with the high values mainly distributed in the southwestern part of the area with high vegetation cover and the area around the Taihu Lake with concentrated water resources, while the low values mainly distributed in the concentrated urban construction areas and near the regional traffic arteries, and the total amount of the four ecosystem services has shown fluctuating characteristics. 3) Regarding the spatial decomposition effects of ecosystem services on net carbon sink efficiency, there are differences in the coefficients, directions and significance of the spatial effects of different ecosystem services. For the ecosystem service trade-off index and relationship index, the direct effects are significantly positive, while indirect effects significantly negative.ConclusionThe research clarifies that water-related ecosystem services such as water retention and water purification services can significantly affect carbon reduction and sink enhancement in the Shanghai Metropolitan Area, and attention should be paid to water network system and its coupling effects with green and grey spaces, so as to further stimulate the ecological vitality of Jiangnan water vein. As there are differences in the spillover effects of different ecosystem services, it is necessary to differentiate the optimization and enhancement strategies for each type of ecological space and its ecosystem services according to local conditions, and the conservation of important ecological spaces in the metropolitan area should be continuously strengthened, followed by joint protection and control of ecological red lines in neighboring areas, so as to promote territorial spatial carbon reduction and sink enhancement activities, thus contributing to the steady improvement of the net carbon sink efficiency of the Shanghai Metropolitan Area in general. The research clearly demonstrates the positive effects of enhancing water-related ecosystem services and conserving important ecological spaces on regional carbon sinks and reduction, and effectively reveals an effective path for synergistic carbon reduction in the region, which may provide certain reference for improving territorial spatial management.

Based on the data of international students' flow from 2000 to 2018, social network analysis and negative binomial regression model are used to analyses the change of spatial networks of African students' flow and its influencing mechanism. The results show that: ① The spatial flow of African international students always presents a "butterfly" spatial distribution pattern, with the north-south flow from Africa to Europe as the main path, and the expansion of Africa to other continents as the secondary path. ② The change of spatial flow network structure of African international students shows significant scale expansion and relative agglomeration. While the number of African international student increases significantly, the scale of international African student among different countries has a hierarchical distribution gap. ③ The nodes of spatial flow network of African international students always present a core-edge structure, and the spatial flow network is increasingly closely connected. The clustering characteristics of African international students flowing to core and sub-core nodes are becoming increasingly significant. ④ Analysis of influencing factors shows that language proximity and historical colonial have the greatest influence on the choice of African international students, followed by the level of education in universities. In addition, agglomeration effect, trade connection, and geographical distance have little influence, while the number of college students in host country, GDP difference and per capita GDP difference have the least influence. As the most important digestive and immune organ of the body, intestinal microbiome is complex and diverse, which plays a crucial role in the growth and health of the host. For the large number of marine fishes, much progress has been made in the study of gut microbiome. [Objective] The objective of this study was to scientifically examine the coupling rule, spatial characteristics, and formation mechanism of population and built-up area changes under the differential population flow in county units, and improve the multi-scale and multi-level allocation mechanism for the intensive use of land resources. [Methods] Taking the urban agglomeration of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region as the study area and using GIS spatial analysis and econometric models, this study explored the pattern, coupling relationship, and driving mechanism of population density change in the built-up areas at the county level. [Results] The study found that: (1) From 2009 to 2018, population of 61% of the areas in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region decreased. The population growth was concentrated in peripheral districts of Beijing and Tianjin and municipal districts of Hebei Province. Meanwhile, the corridor between Beijing and Tianjin and the central urban areas of prefecture-level cities in Hebei were the high-growth areas of the built-up areas in the region, and the growth rate of the built-up areas of both Beijing and Tianjin slowed down significantly. (2) Population density in the built-up areas of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region declined by 323 people per square kilometer, and substantial decline areas were concentrated in counties in Hebei Province. The coupling relationship between population and built-up area changes was dominated by the pattern of “shrinkage and extensive” type from 2009 to 2018, which increased pressure on land resource allocation. (3) Population flow and industrial development model significantly influenced population density change in the built-up areas, but the increase of urbanization rate did not exhibit a significant effect on land use efficiency. [Conclusion] The relationship change between the populations and built-up areas of county-level units in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region is significantly different, and the pressure of intensive use of the built-up areas in counties surrounding central cities, especially located in the central and southern plain farming areas of Hebei Province is increasing. Therefore, it’s urgent to innovate the multi-scale coordination mechanism of provinces, prefectural cities and counties, and optimize the multi-level policy system for reusing idle land in urban-rural areas.

Under the background of climate change, frequent heavy rainfall and floods have a great influence on the developing countries in the monsoon region in Southeast Asia, which may change the incidence pattern or regional difference of bacillary dysentery. In the review, we summarize the progress in researches on associations of rainstorm and flood on bacillary dysentery, mechanism and path of the influence, related environmental-social factors, and main models in the studies. Many studies have shown that rainstorm and flooding significantly increase the risk of bacillary dysentery; a number of studies also have dealt with relevant environmental-social factors such as infrastructure overload, geographic landscape pattern, economic development, urban and rural difference, and medical staff allocation. The results of the studies indicated that the heavy rainfall and floods-induced risk of bacillary dysentery incidence varied among populations of different gender, age, occupation, and living regions. The analytical models adopted by the studies include generalized additive model, distributed lag nonlinear model, and Poisson regression model. Further studies are warrented to explore the mechanism path of the influece of heavy rainfall and floods on bacillary dysentery incidence.

[Purpose/Significance] Postgraduates are the new force and reserve force of academic research. The discussion about trust and influencing mechanism of their academic information consumption will help improve the quality of academic information production and service, and better meet their academic information consumption needs. The contribution of this paper is on the one hand, few articles systematically studied postgraduate students' academic information consumption behavior from the perspective of trust; on the other hand, the research conclusion is a new idea: the study on the analysis of the graduate students' trust in academic information based on consumer behavior impact mechanism, from creating the atmosphere of academic information sources of trust, strengthening academic information channels fiduciary level, improving the level of academic information content trusted three angles proposed strengthening graduate student academic information consumption behavior trust mechanism,. [Method/Process] Based on the relevant theories of trust and information utilization behavior, interviews of 40 students were used to obtain the first-hand data. Before the formal interview, two authors conducted the pre-interview with 10 postgraduate students with rich experience in academic information consumption, respectively. Then, according to the feedback of the pre-interview, they determined the formal interview outline. Using the method of grounded theory to code the data in open coding, spindle coding and selective coding, a model of the influencing mechanism of postgraduate students' trust in academic information consumption was constructed, and the model was explained in detail. Finally, the strategies for improving postgraduate students' academic information consumption were proposed. [Results/Conclusions] Information source, information channel characteristics, the information content characteristic and personal characteristics influence postgraduates' perception of academic information trust, and postgraduates' perception of academic information trust affects their information consumption. Perceived trust plays a mediating role between the above four factors and academic information consumption. This paper proposes strategies to improve the academic information consumption of postgraduate students from the following three aspects: firstly, two-way efforts to create an atmosphere of trust in academic information sources. Secondly, to improve services and enhance the credibility of academic information channels. Thirdly. To attach importance to quality and improve the credibility of academic information content.

In order to investigate the pore characteristic of coking coal in Xishan Coalfield and its influence on methane desorption, cryogenic liquid nitrogen adsorption method was used to analyze the pore structures of six typical coking coal samples. Combining the experimental results with methane desorption, the effect of pore structures on methane desorption characteristics of coking coal was analyzed from the micro level. The results show that both pore volume and pore specific surface area of coking coals are changed in the wide range of 0.017 4-0.081 3 cm3/g and 0.84-2.59 m2/g, respectively. Micropores are most developed among all the pore types in coking coal, and they mainly occupy the pore surface area. However, micropore volume is small, and pore volume is mainly contributed by macropores and mesopores. Pore volume is the main influencing factor of coking coal desorption, simultaneously the increase of pore surface area also contributes to gas desorption. Moisture content in coking coal has great impact on gas desorption. It is easy for water molecules to block the pore-fracture channels, further to inhibit gas desorption, leading to the reduction of total desorption volume.

As a key index to evaluate whether a city is attractive or has a healthy, comprehensive, and sustainable development potential, urban vitality is critical to the future development and construction of a city. Exploring the mechanism of how the built environment influences urban vitality from the perspective of urban morphology can be conducive to future urban space planning and design and can provide city planners with quantitative and scientific decision-making support. This study uses urban POI, cellular signaling, and nighttime light remote sensing data from Shenzhen to measure its cultural, social, and economic vitality, which constitutes a comprehensive vitality assessment of the city. Spatial features of these urban vitalities were then analyzed to further illustrate their distribution patterns. Using Bivariate Moran's I method, the spatial autocorrelations between economic, social, and cultural vitality were calculated. From the five dimensions of Density, Design, Diversity, Distance to Transit, and Destination Accessibility, the 5D detection index system was constructed to measure the urban built environment. This study also used GeoDetector to detect and analyze the spatial differentiation between various built environmental factors and comprehensive, economic, social, and cultural vitality and to explore the mechanism of the influence of the built environment on urban vitality. The results show that: 1) The spatial distribution of comprehensive vitality is extremely uneven in Shenzhen, with a higher vitality in the southern and western regions of Shenzhen city and a lower vitality in the northern and eastern regions. Areas with higher comprehensive vitality usually developed along the main roads and metro lines and are distributed in strips along the coastline of central-southern and western Shenzhen. The high-value areas of the urban comprehensive vitality center are primarily concentrated in city- or district-level commercial centers, and employment centers. Comprehensive vitality in Shenzhen reflects social vitality. 2) Urban comprehensive, economic, social, and cultural vitality are significantly affected by the built environment, as indicated by the 5D system. High POI and building density, average building floors, and land use entropy, have significant positive impacts on urban vitality. However, residential population density did not have a significant impact on each aspect of urban vitality. 3) Some interactions between built environment factors had a greater impact on urban comprehensive vitality, such as residential population density, road network density, land use entropy, and road network density. Overall, the interaction between building density, average building floors, land use entropy, and other factors, have a more positive impact on each aspect of urban vitality. 4) The presentation of urban comprehensive vitality is the result of multiple dimensions and factors. In the influencing mechanism of urban comprehensive vitality, building density and average building floors were the fundamental factors. POI density and land use entropy were the direct driving factors. Residential population density was an inducing factor. Distance from the administrative center, intersection density, road network density, metro station density, and bus station density were adjustive factors. The research results therefore provide valuable suggestions for the optimal allocation of resources and the rational layout of urban functional facilities in Shenzhen.

Long-term rental apartments as a new business form in the real estate market have become more and more popular with consumers and the real estate industry due to an increase in the floating urban population and changes in people's living concepts. It is thus important to provide some guarantees in the implementation of a housing policy for "rent and purchase simultaneously." In this paper, in-depth interviews were conducted with 21 tenants who had experience in long-term apartment rental in Guangzhou. The interview data were encoded level by level using grounded theory. Finally, based on the theory of planned behavior, a model for the influencing mechanism for long-term apartment rental intention in Guangzhou was constructed. The model includes three main categories: rental attitude, subjective norms, and perceptual behavior control with six subcategories. The results show that rental intention for long-term rental apartments in Guangzhou is influenced by rental attitude, subjective norms, and perceptual behavior control. Rental attitude is composed of endogenous attitudes and exogenous attitudes. In addition to the housing demand function, risk judgment, and additional interest, the internal degree of emotional demand and brand preference also affect intention to rent. Subjective norm is composed of directive norms and demonstrative norms, while an individual's cognition of rental policy and social media guidance are important components of directive norms. Perceptual behavior control is composed of self-efficacy and facilitation, while access conditions are an important part of facilitation. The government is an important body to promote the harmonious development of the long-term apartment rental market, and needs to cultivate professional rental institutions, innovate rental modes, and establish a long-term apartment rental price supervision mechanism. The government needs to issue corresponding rules and regulations, such as provide clearer and more convenient procedures, improve the supervision system, and protect the rights and interests of tenants. The government also needs to introduce corresponding preferential policies and determine access conditions. Operators of long-term rental apartments should not only meet the functional needs of tenants, but also pay attention to their additional needs. Furthermore, they should provide a variety of social activities. Based on the needs of different groups, the operators could develop apartments for blue-collar workers, family rental apartments, and so on. Based on the theory of planned behavior, this paper explores the influencing mechanism for long-term rental intention in Guangzhou. The study enriches the research of the theory of planned behavior in the field of rental housing, and provides a reference for the government to strengthen the management of the rental market. At the same time, it is helpful for enterprises to understand the needs and expectations of tenants. The study also provides additional information for enterprise management, product design, and brand promotion.

Relying on the engineering problems caused by a landslide resurrection under the action of reservoir water, this paper aims at understanding the deformation and resurrection mechanism and critical conditions of the landslide, to provide a basis for environmental impact assessment and comprehensive disposal. By collecting the historical work data on the landslide area, the landslide identification is landslide. By using both a qualitative and quantitative analysis, this paper evaluates the landslide stability before and after water storage. By using multiple-phase ground surveys and safety monitoring, this paper evaluates the mechanism of the influence of hydropower water storage on the landslide surrounding environment based on the site situation. The main conclusions are as follows: * The cognitive process of Luojiaping landslide are initially considered as a deformation, identified as a landslide at medium-term with its scope being determined. Finally, its scope and thickness are rechecked and corrected. * Early Jinsha River water level is low, the leading edge of landslide being drainage, its overall stability is stable. Water reached 354 m in 2012, front edge of the slope was immersed, landslide resurrection caused existing construction and structures produced cracks, whose stability was less stable. Water reached 370 m in 2013, increasing deformation of the landslide resulted in expanding the cracks in the existing buildings and structures, its stability being critical. Continue storage to 380m, the Landslide deformation rate continues to intensify, its stability was critical. So the water storage level of 370 m can be considered as the critical water level for Luojiaping Landslide. * Environmental impact assessment is Shuisui secondary road and migration works before water storage can normally be used. Secondary roads, bridges and dwellings do not affect their formal functions, deformation increases to 370 m, cracks of existing buildings and structures are expanded, their functions are damaged. Some dwellings collapses to water storage level of 380 m. Environmental impact indirectly proves several stages of landslide resurrection, closely relating to the water storage of hydropower stations. * In-situ reinforcement disposal can only reinforce the landslide part above the secondary road, which has no effect on the underwater part. The above conclusions can provide an analogy basis for the adjacent projects in the reservoir area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to avoid the inefficient use of land and cut-throat competition among cities, efforts are needed to investigate the development pathways of regional urban integration and interactive forces involved in the process. In this way, decision-making will be made easier for the government to coordinate the regional growth. This research was carried out based on the data related to the social economic development and geographical spaces of the 281 counties in Northeast China from 2000 to 2020. Spatial autocorrelation and geographical detector were employed to analyze the pathways and factor mechanism of urban integration. The results suggested that the evolution of urban integration continued to slow down after reaching the peak from 2005 to 2010, resulting in more resources concentrated in central cities and sluggish growth of sub-central cities. In addition, urban integration centered around the urban cluster of Harbin-Changchun-Songyuan-Suihua and the urban cluster of Bohai Rim with the western and southern parts growing faster than their eastern and northern counterparts. Besides, the changes in the land use of cities were driven predominately by social economy and regional policies. At the same time, the impact of natural resources were replaced by that of geographical locations with the development of science and technology. The factors were largely enhanced and stable. Thus, the government should adopt distinctive development strategies and foster foreign trade. The resource-dependent cities in China can make the best of their advantages to achieve market-oriented transformation. Agricultural greenhouse gas emission reduction plays an important role in addressing global climate warming. Researching and revealing the spatial and temporal characteristics, as well as the influencing mechanisms of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions, is of great significance for achieving the goals of green and low-carbon development in agriculture. This study examines the agricultural greenhouse gas emissions from 31 provinces （municipalities, autonomous regions） in China from 2000 to 2020. Through the use of geographic detectors, spatial econometric analysis, and other methods, it explores the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and driving factors of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. The results indicated the following： ① From 2000 to 2020, agricultural greenhouse gas emissions in China showed a development process of "slow increase - sharp increase - sharp decrease." ② The spatial heterogeneity of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions was significant, forming three high emission areas in space： the central high emission area centered on Henan, the southern high emission area centered on Guangdong, and the southwestern high emission area centered on Sichuan. The center of gravity showed a trend of shifting northward and westward. ③ Rural population, regional gross domestic product, and agricultural output value were the dominant driving factors causing spatial heterogeneity of agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. ④ Agricultural greenhouse gas emissions had spatial spillover effects. When formulating agricultural greenhouse gas reduction targets, it is necessary to adopt a coordinated control strategy among different regions.

To examine the underlying determinants of ozone （O 3 ） in Yinchuan's urban park during varying seasons and to ascertain the role played by meteorological events and air contaminants in influencing O 3 concentrations at high altitudes, data on O 3 , meteorological factors, and air pollutants were collected through prolonged positional observations carried out at the Ningxia Yinchuan National Urban Ecosystem Research Station. Pearson correlation analysis and a structural equation model were utilized to investigate the spatio-temporal distribution patterns, trends, and the primary factors influencing O 3 . The findings demonstrated a notable seasonal variability in O 3 levels in Yinchuan's urban park, displaying an "unimodal type" with the O 3 concentration peaking in summer （131.18 μg·m -3 ） and bottoming out in winter （71.45 μg·m -3 ）. Among the meteorological factors, the highest impact on O 3 was attributed to temperature and wind speed （temperature mainly through direct effects and wind speed mainly through indirect effects）. Conversely, air pollutants such as NO x and SO 2 greatly affected O 3 primarily through direct effects. Wind speed was identified as the primary influencing factor on O 3 during spring and summer, potentially contributing 29% and 24.7%, respectively. Conversely, NO 2 was implicated as the primary factor during autumn and winter, with an estimated contribution of 26.6% and 29.7%, respectively. Thus, a structural equation model can efficiently reveal the primary determinants behind O 3 variations throughout various seasons, which could furnish a scientifically rigorous foundation and technical aid for mitigating and managing O 3 levels in high-altitude regions.

Based on the use of the coupling coordination model to calculate the coupling coordination degree of carbon emission and pollutant control, the national, regional, and provincial spatiotemporal characteristics of the synergistic effect of pollution control and carbon emissions reduction in China were further analyzed, facilitating the crucial to identification of key areas. The fixed effects regression models and provincial panel data from 2006 to 2020 were used to explore factors contributing to better synergizing the reduction of pollution and carbon emissions in China. On this basis, the adjustment variable of R&D investment intensity was introduced, and the regulation effect model was constructed to further explore the influence mechanism of the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction. The results showed that： synergy exists between carbon emission reduction and the air pollution control system, the evolution of the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction in China presented an inverted "U"-shaped trend from 2006 to 2020, and there was spatial aggregation and a spatial spillover effect in pollution reduction and carbon reduction. The synergistic governance of carbon emission and pollutant control was still at a relatively low level. The carbon emission and air pollutant emission systems were still in an unstable and uncoordinated state. The results showed that： The degree of coordination of eastern China, central China, and western China decreased in turn. At the national level, energy consumption structure, per capita GDP, and the proportion of green investment were the main factors affecting the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon. The heterogeneity of the influencing factors existed in the central, eastern, and western regions on industrial structure, energy consumption structure, energy utilization efficiency, per capita GDP, urbanization rate, the proportion of green investment, and transportation structure. The intensity of R&D played a significant moderating effect in the whole country, eastern, and central regions. However, no significant moderating effect was identified in the western region. In the eastern region, the urbanization rate, the proportion of green investment, and the transportation structure could not have a significant effect on the synergistic effect of pollution reduction and carbon reduction alone, and it must be coordinated with the intensity of R&D.

Microplastics (MPs) and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) are typical co-existing emerging pollutants in wastewater treatment plants. MPs have been shown to alter the distribution pattern of ARGs in sludge, but their effects on free extracellular ARGs (feARGs) in wastewater remain unclear. In this study, we used fluorescence quantitative PCR to investigate the dynamics of feARGs (including tetC , tetO , sul1 , and sul2 ) in wastewater and their transition mechanisms after 60 d of exposure to typical MPs (polystyrene, PS). The results showed that the absolute abundance of tetracycline feARGs decreased by 28.4 %-76.0 % and 35.2 %-96.2 %, respectively, under nm-level and mm-level PS exposure and changed by -55.4 %-122.4 % under μm-level PS exposure. The abundance of sul1 showed a trend of nm-level > μm-level > mm-level upon PS exposure, and the changes in sul1 abundance was greater with ρ (PS)=50 mg·L -1 exposure. The relative abundance of sul2 was reduced by 25.4 %-42.6 % and 46.1 %-90.3 % after μm-level and mm-level PS exposure, respectively, and increased by 1.9-3.9 times after nm-level PS exposure, and the sul2 showed a higher reduction at ρ (PS)=50 mg·L -1 exposure than that at ρ (PS)=0.5 mg·L -1 . The Pearson correlation analysis showed that the relative abundance of feARGs during PS exposure was positively correlated with cell membrane permeability and typical mobile genetic elements ( intI1 ) abundance and negatively correlated with reactive oxygen species level. Our findings elucidated the effects and corresponding mechanisms of PS on the growth and mobility of feARGs in wastewater, providing a scientific basis for the control of the combined MPs and ARGs pollution in wastewater.

Soil erosion is divided into three subprocesses of soil detachment, sediment transport, and sediment deposition. Exploring the critical conditions in terms of hydraulic, topography, soil as well as near-surface characteristics for the occurrence and development of these processes is the basis of establishing process-based soil erosion model and then accurately predicting soil erosion. Hence, the paper summarized the main factors that influencing soil detachment process by overland flow and its mechanism in respect to overland flow hydrodynamics, soil properties, near soil surface characteristics, and spatial-temporal variability of soil detachment. Finally, main problems requiring deep exploration in future are recommended from six aspects, i. e. the spatial-temporal scale of study on soil detachment process, the dynamic mechanism of soil detachment process, the influencing mechanism of rill morphological evolution and network structure on soil detachment process, the coupling mechanism of soil detachment and sediment transport, the measuring method and criterion of soil detachment, and the obtaining and predicting soil erosion resistance parameters. The paper is conducive to deepening the understanding of soil detachment process by overland flow. Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are a class of persistent, semi-volatile compounds. Their toxic and bioaccumulative properties can severely impair human health and ecosystem. Trees have been proved to be one of the main reservoirs of POPs and have advantages in POPs monitoring in remote and extremely polluted areas. Tree leaves, barks and rings are good passive sampler of POPs, which can well reflect the spatio-temporal distribution of POPs. The study on trees for monitoring the spatio-temporal distribution and sources of POPs in the past 40 years was briefly reviewed; the adsorption process and mechanism of POPs by tree leaves, barks and rings were discussed; and the application of trees in POPs spatio-temporal monitoring was summarized. The advantage of tree is to monitor the spatio-temporal distribution of POPs in remote area or lowest pollution level. The adsorption of POPs by trees mainly depends on lipids and surface stomata, and is affected by tree characteristics and climatic conditions. However, the mechanism is not clear at present. The pollution level of POPs in the atmosphere can be retrieved by bark-air partitioning coefficient. Compared with lake core records, the tree samples have more accurate historical records. Urbanization is an extensive and complicated human activity all over the world. Presently, it is a consensus that urbanization could exert certain impact on local precipitation. However, owning to the complexity of precipitation formation and distribution in different regions, as well as the limitation of metrological observation and numerical simulation models, there are different views on the physical mechanisms and driving factors about urbanization influencing rainfall. In addition, disputes continue on the phenomenon and traits of urban influencing rainfall. Hence, this paper reviews the main mechanisms of urban effects on rainfall. Then, observation analysis and numerical simulation of urbanization impact on precipitation are retrospected. For the former, main results are summarized and compared for studies both based on surface gauge observations and remote sensing data. For the latter, urbanization influence on precipitation are summarized both for single factor and compound factors. Finally, main problems requiring deep exploration in future are recommended from five aspects, i. e. the integrated observation of urban meteorology, the comprehensive detection of urbanization precipitation effects, the refined simulation of urbanization impact on precipitation and the adaptation and regulation measures. This paper is conducive to deepening the understanding of urbanization effect on precipitation. Counties are the key spatial units in achieving the reduction and control of carbon emissions. It is of great significance to study and reveal the spatial-temporal evolution characteristics and influencing mechanism of carbon emissions for realizing the "carbon peak and carbon neutral" goal. In this study, the spatial-temporal evolution and heterogeneity of carbon emissions at the county level in China from 2000 to 2017 were analyzed by using mathematical statistics and panel data regression modeling, and the influencing mechanism was explored. The results showed that: ① from 2000 to 2017, the annual growth rate of carbon emissions was 7.12%, which experienced the three stages of "sharp rise, slow rise, and high fluctuation" and finally stabilized at approximately 90×10 8 t. At the county scale, there was a significant positive spatial autocorrelation. ② The general panel regression model showed that GDP, construction land area, population, per capita GDP, and per capita deposit balance of financial institutions were significantly correlated with carbon emissions, and the former three had the strongest promoting effect on carbon emissions. ③ The goodness of fit of the geographically and temporally weighted regression model was high, and the direction and intensity of the other impact factors changed greatly in spatial-temporal characteristics, except that GDP showed a stable promoting effect globally. The results showed that carbon emission levels and main influencing factors varied among counties in China. This study revealed the heterogeneity of carbon emissions at the county level, which is helpful to optimize the spatial-temporal implementation path of the "dual carbon" target.

The factors which have an impact on the innovation of social science research methods can he divided into three categories: "subjective factors", "guarantee factors" and "motivation factors". Firstly, "subjective factors" are the most direct factors, which can be further divided into two types: the researcher's innovation ability and innovation motivation. Secondly, "guarantee factors" include material conditions, management system and mechanism, cultural atmosphere, and team building. These factors provide material support, policy support, cultural support and organization support respectively to the innovation of social science research methods. To look at it closely, material conditions are a prerequisite for scientific innovation, and research funds are the most important factor. Management systems and mechanisms relate to the allocation system of research funds, the way programs are evaluated, the way professional ranks are evaluated, the teachers' salary system, the system of achievement evaluation in scientific research, etc.. They are the fundamental factors impeding the innovation of social science research methods. The cultural atmosphere in research teams, universities and countries plays an important part in the innovation of social science research methods. Additionally, since cooperation has become more important today, team-building is another factor that plays a greater role in the innovation of social science research methods. Thirdly, government support, technology development and social needs provide developing motivation for the innovation of social science research methods. Specifically, government provides guidance and support in the aspect of policies. Moreover, the development of natural sciences also helps push forward the innovation of social science research methods, and the changing society also demands innovations of social science research methods. Each factor is both independent and interrelated. "Motivation factors" and "guarantee factors" both affect the innovation of social science research methods via "subjective factors". Therefore, "subjective factors" are an intermediate variable. Many methods can be used to promote the innovation of social science research method, which includes: increase investment, reform the management system and mechanism, support team-building, encourage innovation, provide platform of exchanges and so on. Finally, this research only provides a framework and a theoretical discussion of the factors which affects the innovation of social science research method. The aim of this study was to examine the relationships between land use and bacterioplankton communities at different spatial scales and the mechanisms underlying the effects of land use on bacterioplankton communities. Here, surface water samples were collected in 14 tributaries of the Yuanhe River in August 2019 (wet season) and January 2020 (dry season), and high-throughput sequencing technology was used to determine the characteristics of the bacterioplankton communities. Statistical methods such as Bioenv and variance partitioning analysis (VPA) were used to explore the relationships among landscape structure (i.e., landscape compositions and landscape configurations), water chemistry, and bacterioplankton communities. Furthermore, metacommunity theory was employed to explain the mechanisms by which land use and water chemistry affect bacterial communities. The results showed that:① in general, the effects of landscape configuration on bacterial communities were weak, whereas the effects of landscape composition on bacterial communities were significant and greater at the buffer scale than that at the sub-basin scale. ② There was no distinct distance-decay pattern for the effects of landscape composition on bacterial communities from the near-distance (100 m) to the long-distance (1000 m) buffer zones, with the maximal effects occurring in the 500 m circular buffer (wet season) and 300 m riparian buffer (dry season), respectively. ③ Land use influenced the bacterioplankton communities both directly through exogenous inputs (i.e., "mass effect" process) and indirectly by affecting water chemistry (i.e., "species sorting" process). VPA showed that the total explanation of bacterial community variations by water chemistry and the intersection of water chemistry and land use (13.5% in the wet season and 11.7% in the dry season) was higher than that of land use alone (2.7% in the wet season and 6.9% in the dry season). These results suggest that mass effects and species sorting jointly shaped bacterial community assembly but that the effects of species sorting outweighed those of mass effects. This study revealed the variability of landscape structure at different spatial scales on bacterial communities, and its results will help to determine the optimal spatial scale affecting bacterial communities and provide a reference basis for watershed land-use management.
