The quantum chromodynamics (QCD) phase diagram is of great interest to researchers in the field of high energy nuclear physics. We review the present research status of several aspects of this topic. This review includes the search for the phase transition mechanism resulting in high-order baryon number fluctuations, how chiral imbalance, finite volume, and under rotations affect the QCD diagram, and the applications of the equation of states of dense QCD matter in the study of compact stars. The Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model and Dyson-Schwinger equations approach are the most commonly used methods described in this review. It is found that the theoretical results of high-order baryon number fluctuations are in good agreement with the experimental data. The chiral imbalance, finite volume, and rotation of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) have a quantitative impact on the chiral condensate and the QCD phase structure. In the study of compact stars, the theoretical results from equation of states of dense QCD matter agree well with pulsar observations. Further research will be required to form a complete understanding of the QCD phase diagram, particularly given the abundance of QGP.

With its excellent properties such as high thermal conductivity, strong radiation resistance and high electron mobility, diamond has become one of the most suitable materials for radiation detectors. Detector-grade diamond requires low impurity content, low dislocation density and other defects. However, it is very difficult to keep low impurities and low dislocations simultaneously in the actual crystal growth process. In this study, microwave plasma chemical vapor deposition (MPCVD) method was used to grow diamond layer on two high-quality HPHT diamond substrates with the previously optimized process conditions. The nitrogen impurity content and structure of the HPHT substrate and growth layer were characterized and analyzed. The results show that, the content of nitrogen impurity on two HPHT substrates are 7. 1 x 10-6% and 4. 04 x 10-8%, respectively, whereas in their epitaxial diamond layers, the nitrogen impurity content are 2. 1 x 10-7% and 5 x 10-8%, respectively. The full width at half-maximum of the rocking curve shows that the dislocation density of the MPCVD growth layer is comparable to the HPHT substrate, though some dislocations were introduced into the MPCVD growth layer, which increases the stress. Overall, the dislocations in the HPHT substrate and epitaxial layer of single crystal diamond are in the same order of magnitude. Using life-cycle assessment(LCA) method, the environmental impact of concrete blocks prepared with recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) in an actual case in Nanjing was investigated. The emission inventory of nine pollutants in the production of recycled aggregate concrete (RAC) block was determined. Five different environmental impact categories (GWP, AP, EP, HTP, POCP) of the recycled concrete hollow blocks are calculated, and the normalized model is used to calculate and analyze the proportions of different environmental impact categories. The effect of RCAs on the environmental impact of RAC blocks was studied as well as the transportation processes and the production of blocks in the plant. The results indicate that RAC blocks have less environmental impact compared to normal concrete blocks. The use of RAC blocks will significantly improve the sustainable development of masonry structures, improve its environmental performance. The promotion and application of recycled concrete hollow blocks can effectively improve the sustainable development capacity of masonry structures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on analysis of previous studies of topological relations between spatial objects, this paper reviews the research contents and methods for describing relations between certain spatial objects, and for topological relations between uncertain spatial objects.
