With thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) limit spring extruder head as the research object, the relevant material parameters of the constitutive equation of raw TPU were obtained by the rheological property test. Numerical simulation of the flow process of TPU in the extrusion runner was carried out based on the software Polyflow, and in the meanwhile, a second-order regression model of standard deviation of velocity (Sd) at the exit of the forming section was established by response surface method, and the influence law of extrusion runner structure on the melt flow uniformity of TPU was explored. The results showed that after optimization the structure parameters of extrusion runner were as follows: the length of the forming section of 165 mm, the expansion angle of 25°, and the number of diverter shuttles of 6. After optimization the predicted value of Sd at the exit of the forming section of extrusion runner was 0.531 m/s and was only 0.188% different from the actual value of Sd(0.532 m/s), which indicated that the model was more accurate, and the model could be used for the prediction and optimization of the structure parameters of extrusion runner.

Genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) were used to optimize the back propagation（BP） neural network to establish the prediction model of Mooney viscosity of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer (EPDM) compound, and the error of the prediction results was compared and analyzed. The results showed that the predicted va-lues of the BP neural network model optimized by the two algorithms all maintained a high degree of fit and correlation with the measured values. Compared with the single BP neural network, the accuracy of the GA-BP neural network prediction model increased by 58.9% and the accuracy of the PSO-BP model increased by 3.57%, which indicated that the prediction accuracy of the prediction model optimized by the two algorithms, especially the BP neural network prediction model optimized by GA, improved significantly Mooney viscosity of EPDM compound.

This study aimed to investigate the bactericidal effect and dynamics of slightly acidic electrolyzed water (SAEW) combined with ultrasonic (US) treatment on Escherichia coli on fresh-cut lettuce. Fresh-cut lettuce was treated with SAEW-US under different conditions of solid/liquid ratio (1:5, 1:10 and 1:15 (g/mL)) and temperature (25, 35 and 45 ℃). The colony number of E. coli on lettuce was determined by the plate counting method, and the synergistic effect of combined treatment with SAEW and US on reducing the colony number of E. coli was determined and kinetically analyzed. The sublethal damage of SAEW-US treated E. coli was detected by flow cytometry and the double-layer culture counting method. The results showed that the efficacy of SAEW-US treatment in killing E. coli was significantly better than that of SAEW treatment (p < 0.05), and increased with treatment time, solid/liquid ratio and temperature. SAEW-US treatment had a synergistic effect on killing E. coli, and the sterilization process followed a first-order kinetic model. Moreover, SAEW-US treatment reduced the rate of sublethal damage of E. coli. The results of this study will provide a theoretical basis for the sterilization of fresh agricultural products.

Background Urinary incontinence often occurs in women aged 40-60 years and contributes to a significant impact on women's physical health and quality of life. Objective To explore the prevalence and influencing factors of urinary incontinence and its impact on quality of life in women aged 40-60 years in Guizhou Province. Methods From June 2022 to January 2023, women aged 40-60 years who underwent health checkups in 10 hospitals in 7 regions of Guizhou Province were selected as the study subjects. A self-designed general data questionnaire was used to collect the basic data of the study subjects, and International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire-Female Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (ICIQ-FLUTS) and Incontinence Quality of Life Measure (I-QoL) were used to determine the severity of urinary incontinence and the level of quality of life of the study subjects, respectively. Different types of incontinence, including stress incontinence, urge incontinence, and mixed incontinence, were determined according to the diagnostic criteria established by the International Continence Society (ICS). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the influencing factors of urinary incontinence, and explore the effects of different types and severity levels of urinary incontinence on patients' quality of life. Results A total of 3 000 questionnaires were distributed, and 2 966 valid questionnaires were collected, with a valid recovery rate of 98.9%. The prevalence of urinary incontinence among the 2 966 study subjects was 33.4% (991/2 966), including 20.1% (596/2 966) for stress incontinence, 2.0% (58/2 966) for urge incontinence, and 11.4% (337/2 966) for mixed incontinence. Objective To investigate the protective effect of idebenone (IDBN) on hippocampal neuron injury in epileptic rats and its mechanism. Methods Forty-eight Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group, IDBN prevention group (prevention group), epilepsy group, IDBN 25, 50 and 100 mg groups. Behavioral changes of rats in different treatment groups before and after treatment with IDBN were observed. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in hippocampal were detected. The ultrastructural changes of hippocampal neurons and mitochondria were observed. Results The expression levels of SOD, GSH-Px and MDA in different treatment groups were significantly different (P = 0.000, for all). The activity of SOD and GSH-Px was the highest and the content of MDA was the lowest in IDBN 100 mg group. The activity of SOD and GSH-Px in IDBN 100 mg group were higher than those in epilepsy group (P = 0.000, 0.000), IDBN 25 mg group (P = 0.000, 0.000) and 50 mg group (P = 0.004, 0.005), while the content of MDA was lower than that in epilepsy group (P = 0.000), IDBN 25 mg group (P = 0.000) and 50 mg group (P = 0.002). Compared with normal control group and prevention group, hippocampal neurons in epilepsy group showed different degrees of damage, which was relieved after treatment with IDBN and gradually decreased with the increase of dose. In epilepsy group, the mitochondrial structure of hippocampal neurons was damaged obviously, with deformation and swelling, and some mitochondria were vacuolated. After treatment with IDBN, the damage was relieved, and the 100 mg group had the least damage. Conclusions IDBN can protect hippocampal neuron structure and function by inhibiting oxidative stress injury in epileptic rats.

The crystal structure, surface morphology, chemical composition, optical properties of the samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, XPS, DRS and PL, respectively. The photocatalytic activity of xAg-TiO2(x=1%,2%,4%,6%,atom fraction) under UV light and simulated sunlight was evaluated by the degradation of Rhodamine B by using mercury lamp and xenon lamp as the light source, respectively. The results indicate that the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 under UV light and simulated sunlight enhances as the recombination rate of photogenerated electron-hole decreases and the absorption of simulated sunlight increases by Ag doping. 1%Ag-TiO2 exhibits the best photocatalytic activity. The degradation rates of Rhodamine B are 91% under UV light and 89% under simulated sunlight, which are 1.18 and 1.24 times higher than that of pure TiO2. The reaction rate constants are 0.01257 min-1 and 0.01150 min-1, which are 1.49 and 1.74 times higher than that of pure TiO2.

Matrix interference and co-existent elemental interference are the two key factors necessary to obtain accurate analysis results for Rare earth elements (REEs) in geological samples using the traditional methods. Since Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) is widely conducted in the field of trace element analysis, accurate results of REEs are obtained under optimized conditions. This method was established using ICP-MS to determine 15 REEs and is detailed in this paper. The samples were digested in sealed containers with HCl, HNO3 and HF at high temperature. The solutions were set into a constant volume. Internal standard solutions of 103Rh, 115In and 185Re were on-line loaded into the sample solution during the measurement. The recovery rates are 95%-104% and the RSDs are less than 3.5%. REEs in 24 representative ore samples from 12 countries were analyzed and are reported in this paper. The results show that importing iron ores are LREEs enrichment type. Currently, imported fine ores are mostly combined with different iron ores from multi productive areas. This provides a technical reference for the comprehensive utilization of rare earth elements in iron ore and pollution control and also provides valuable information on the origin of the iron ore.

Particles in universe may damage spacecrafts to malfunction, and triple modular redundancy (TMR) is an effective fault-tolerant technology. However, the existing TMR design is usually specifically customized for a given chip, it can as not be used in general. A novel TMR design scheme is proposed for VLSI gate-level netlist without considering the function. The scheme contains four design methods, which are global sequential elements TMR, local sequential elements TMR, global combinational logic cells TMR, and local combinational logic cells TMR. According to different libraries, the strategy also optimizes the drive capability. The proposed scheme is verified by a multi-core processor netlist. The experimental results show that, the area overhead of global sequential elements TMR is 185% of that of the original netlist, and the area overhead of local sequential elements TMR 1%~80% of that of the original netlist. The scheme can be configured according to designers, requirements. Experimental data show that the delay introduced by the scheme on the critical paths is about 22.15%~ 22.86%, which is controllable for designers. And the scheme has a relative high reliability. In order to overcome the shortages of the traditional wavelet transform, this paper presented new image denoising algorithm based on the combination of symmetrical normal inverse Gaussian model in nonsubsampled quaternion contourlet transform (NSQCT) domain and non-local means filter (NLMF) in spatial domain. It constructed NSQCT by combining the quaternion wavelet transform (QWT) and nonsubsampled directional filter banks (NSDFB), which had highly directional selectivity, multi-direction and approximate shift invariant. Simulation experiment shows that the algorithm can obtain better performances than those classical denoising algorithms in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), mean structural similarity (MSSIM) as well as visual quality. Aiming at the limitations of methods on speech enhancement by traditional threshold methods in wavelet domain, this paper proposed a new speech enhancement algorithm based on the tunable Q-factor wavelet transform and separation of voiced signal and unvoiced signal. Firstly, it separated voiced signal and unvoiced signal with zero-crossing ratio and short time energy. The adaptive threshold values combined the energy of coefficients and the variance of noise in different scales, respectively. Then it applied the improved Donoho threshold value and threshold function to process wavelet coefficients of voiced signal and unvoiced signal, and estimated the original coefficients from noisy coefficients. Lastly, it used the inverse transform to obtain the original speech signal which the noise was removed. Comparing with the other current classical algorithms, experimental results show that the modified algorithm improves the effect of de-noising and speech intelligibility in white Gaussian noise and colored noise background. The cooperative game analysis method was adopted to solve the pricing problem of reclaimed water. A cooperative game model of reclaimed water supplier and users was created. Based on analyzing the interests of the reclaimed water supplier and user, the Shapley values was employed to allocate the total revenue of cooperation, by which the formula of reclaimed water pricing was deduced. Tianjin was taken as an example for application research. The results showed that: The cooperative game equilibrium will be achieved when the reclaimed water price can make supplier and users gaining equal interests from using reclaimed water, and then reclaimed water will have a more stable market and extension utilization. Taking the natural Quercus variabilis forest in Shangluo, south slope of Qinling Mountains as the object in May 2006 and August 2011, which was under close to natural management of different thinning intensities (30%, 20%, 10%), and the un-thinned forest as the control, changes of the stand growth situation before and after thinning, population regeneration, species diversity and soil fertility after 5 years of thinning were analyzed, and the effects of thinning on forestland revegetation and community development were evaluated comprehensively. The results showed that the number of 1-6 years old Q. variabilis seedlings increased with increasing thinning intensity, while no significant difference was found for above 6 years old seedlings. The regeneration potentials of population under 10%, 20% and 30% thinning were respectively increased by 10.8%, 28.5% and 32.9% compared with the control. Thinning promoted the DBH and crown of the trees and shrubs, as well as the height of shrubs, especially for light-loving plants, and the effect of promotion increased with increasing thinning intensity. The species diversity and soil fertility were improved after thinning, in order of 30% > 20% > 10% > control. The thinning intensity of 30% (canopy density 0.6) was more conducive to the continuable development of the natural Q. variabilis forest in which canopy density was above 0.85. In August-November 2010 and August 2011, and taking the pure Quercus variabilis forests under close-to-natural management of different thinning intensity (30%, 20%, and 10%) in Shangluo district of south slope of Qinling Mountains as the object, an investigation was conducted on the seed amount of seed bank, the survival rate and growth status of seedlings, and their relationships with environmental factors 4-5 years after thinning. As compared with the control, the seed amount in the seed bank of 10%, 20%, and 30% thinning plots increased by 2.0%, 21.1%, and 34. 8%, respectively in the fourth year after thinning, and the 1-year-old seedlings amount increased by 28. 5%, 99. 7%, and 122. 2%, respectively in the next year. The survival rate of the seedlings in the 10%, 20%, and 30% thinning plots was increased by 25.5%, 235.7%, and 480. 0%, respectively in the fifth year after thinning. Thinning improved the light, temperature, soil moisture, and soil nutrient conditions in the forests, which promoted the heightand new shoot growth and the leaf area index of each age seedlings. The three growth indices also increased with increasing thinning intensity. A variety of compounds in Artemisia annua were simultaneously determined to evaluate the quality of A. annua from multiple perspectives. A method based on ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometry(UPLC-QQQ-MS/MS) was established for the simultaneous determination of seven compounds: amorpha-4,11-diene, artemisinic aldehyde, dihydroartemisinic acid, artemisinic acid, artemisinin B, artemisitene, and artemisinin, in A. annua. The content of the seven compounds in different tissues(roots, stems, leaves, and lateral branches) of A. annua were compared. The roots, stems, leaves, and lateral branches of four-month-old A. annua were collected and the content of seven artemisinin-related compounds in different tissues was determined. A multi-reaction monitoring(MRM) acquisition mode of UPLC-QQQ-MS/MS was used, with a positive ion mode of atmospheric pressure chemical ion source(APCI). Chromatographic separation was achieved on an Eclipse Plus RRHD C&#95;(18) column(2.1 mm×50 mm, 1.8 μm). The gradient elution was performed with the mobile phase consisted of formic acid(0.1%)-ammonium formate(5 mmol·L~(-1))(A) and the methanol(B) gradient program of 0-8 min, 55%-100% B, 8-11 min, 100% B, and equilibrium for 3 min, the flow rate of 0.6 mL·min~(-1), the column temperature of 40 ℃, the injection volume of 5 μL, and the detection time of 8 min. Through methodological investigation, a method based on UPLC-QQQ-MS/MS was established for the simultaneous quantitative determination of seven representative compounds involved in the biosynthesis of artemisinin. The content of artemisinin in A. annua was higher than that of artemisinin B, and the content of artemisinin and dihydroartemisinic acid were high in all the tissues of A. annua. The content of the seven compounds varied considerably in different tissues, with the highest levels in the leaves and neither artemisinene nor artemisinic aldehyde was detected in the roots. In this study, a quantitative method based on UPLC-QQQ-MS/MS for the simultaneous determination of seven representative compounds involved in the biosynthesis of artemisinin was established, which was accurate, sensitive, and highly efficient, and can be used for determining the content of artemisinin-related compounds in A. annua, breeding new varieties, and controlling the quality of Chinese medicinal materials.

The southwest alpine canyon area is a typical ecologically fragile area. Understanding the characteristics of vegetation change here and its influencing factors can provide a theoretical basis for formulating countermeasures for ecological environment construction in the southwest alpine canyon area and has practical significance for realizing the harmonious and unified development of the regional economy, environment, and ecology. Based on the data set of NDVI, socio-economic factors, and natural factors from 2000 to 2019, the spatial and temporal variation and stability characteristics of NDVI in the southwest alpine canyon area were analyzed by using the methods of unary linear regression, Hurst index, geographic detector model, and coefficient of variation, and the influencing factors of the spatial differentiation of NDVI were also discussed. The results showed that:① in terms of spatial distribution, the vegetation was high in the southeast and low in the northwest. The area covered by medium and high vegetation accounted for 71.71%, and the vegetation cover was at a relatively high level. From the perspective of time, the area of vegetation showing an improvement trend accounted for 85.90%, and the recovery effect was obvious, and the future vegetation change trend will continue to be improved. ② Elevation, vegetation type, and soil type were the main factors affecting the spatial differentiation of NDVI, and the q value was no less than 0.40. Temperature and rainfall were secondary factors, with q values of 0.274 and 0.225, respectively. The dual-factor interaction enhanced the single factor influence, which was manifested as the dual-factor enhancement and nonlinear enhancement relationship. The highest q value was 0.714 for the combination of altitude ∩ vegetation, followed by 0.688 for the combination of altitude ∩ soil. ③ The overall stability of NDVI during the study period was good, and the proportion of the regional area with low fluctuating changes and slightly low fluctuating changes was 89.95%. The area with moderate fluctuation accounted for 10.05%, concentrated in the relatively fragile ecological environment with factors such as high altitude, low temperature, little rainfall, barren soil, and sparse vegetation. Vegetation change is the result of a combination of multiple factors, so it is necessary to adapt to local conditions and adopt different strategies to restore the ecological environment of the southwest alpine canyon area.

Artemisia argyi is an important medicinal and economic plant in China, with the effects of warming channels, dispersing cold, and relieving pain, inflammation, and allergy. The essential oil of this plant is rich in volatile terpenoids and widely used in moxi-bustion and healthcare products, with huge market potential. The bZIP transcription factors compose a large family in plants and are involved in the regulation of plant growth and development, stress response, and biosynthesis of secondary metabolites such as terpenoids. However, little is known about the bZIPs and their roles in A. argyi. In this study, the bZIP transcription factors in the genome of A. argyi were systematically identified, and their physicochemical properties, phylogenetic relationship, conserved motifs, and promoter-binding elements were analyzed. Candidate AarbZIP genes involved in terpenoid biosynthesis were screened out. The results showed that a total of 156 AarbZIP transcription factors were identified at the genomic level, with the lengths of 99-618 aa, the molecular weights of 11.7-67.8 kDa, and the theoretical isoelectric points of 4.56-10.16. According to the classification of bZIPs in Arabidopsis thaliana, the 156 AarbZIPs were classified into 12 subfamilies, and the members in the same subfamily had similar conserved motifs. The cis-acting elements of promoters showed that AarbZIP genes were possibly involved in light and hormonal pathways. Five AarbZIP genes that may be involved in the regulation of terpenoid biosynthesis were screened out by homologous alignment and phylogenetic analysis. The qRT-PCR results showed that the expression levels of the five AarbZIP genes varied significantly in different tissues of A. argyi. Specifically, AarbZIP29 and AarbZIP55 were highly expressed in the leaves and AarbZIP81, AarbZIP130, and AarbZIP150 in the flower buds. This study lays a foundation for the functional study of bZIP genes and their regulatory roles in the terpenoid biosynthesis in A. argyi.

Objective: To analyze the compatibility regularities of acupoints and the application characteristics of needling-moxibustionmethods in the treatment of ankle sprain by using complex network technology, so as to provide the basis and treatment ideas., Methods: The clinical research articles on acupuncture treatment of ankle joint sprain published from November 2011 to November 2021 were retrieved from databases of CNKI, Wanfang Data knowledge service platform, VIP information Chinese journal service platform and PubMed by using key words of "acupuncture""moxibustion" "acupuncture and moxibustion" "ankle injury" "ankle sprain" "injured ankle" and "syndesmotic injuries". After screening these articles according to our inclusion and exclusion criteria, a database of acupuncture treatment of ankle sprain was established. Then, analysis on the occurrence frequency of acupoints and their related meridians, and methods of needling manipulation, and the association rule analysis (quantitative analysis) about the closeness between acupoints, and the degree of support and confidence coefficient were conducted for acquiring the acupoint combinations with higher correlation in the compatibility using Apriori algorithm after modeling (with IBM SPSS Modeler18.0 software). Gephi 0.9.2 software was used to make complex network analysis, for which "k-core hierarchical analysis" and "community analysis" were used as the methods to analyze the network structure of acupoints, and the confidence value was used as the index to measure the importance of acupoints., Results: A total of 201 articles meeting the criteria were collected, including 196 articles in Chinese and 5 in English. A total of 236 acupuncture prescriptions were extracted, involving 61 acupoints, with a total frequency of occurrence being 846. The top 10 acupoints were Ashi point, Kunlun (BL60), Jiexi (ST41), Qiuxu (GB40), Shenmai (BL62), Yanglingquan (GB34), Taixi (KI3), Zhaohai (KI6), Xuanzhong (GB39) and Shangqiu (SP5), with the occurrence frequency being 109, 79, 70, 68, 63, 59, 53, 52, 37 and 34, respectively. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the top 5 meridians were Gallbladder Meridian of Foot-shaoyang, Bladder Meridian of Foot-taiyang, Kidney Meridian of Foot-shaoyin, Stomach Meridian of Foot-yangming and Spleen Meridian of Foot-taiyin, with the frequency being 181, 153, 116, 105 and 53, respectively. Complex network analysis displayed that after "k-core hierarchical analysis" and "Community division", two communities were reserved, mainly involving 15 core acupoints such as Ahshi point, GB40, ST14, BL62, GB34, KI6, BL60, KI3, GB39, Zusanli (ST36), SP5; Taichong (LR3), Zulinqi (GB41), Sanyinjiao (SP6) and Rangu (KI2). The results of association rule analysis showed that the most relevant acupoint combination is "BL60-ST41" (support degree 34.83％), followed by "BL60-KI3" (support degree 26.37%), reflecting the principle of selection of local acupoint for ankle sprain. The therapeutic methods are filiform needle acupuncture, and the reducing technique and uniform reinforcing and reducing manipulation are the most commonly used approaches, but the reinforcing method is rarely used., Conclusion: In the treatment of ankle sprain, local acupoints and Ashi points are mainly used, in combination with reducing or uniform reinforcing and reducing manipulations, as well as the method of needling and moxibustion, which provides a good reference for clinical practice.

Objectives: To study the mediating role of working memory between sleep quality and symptoms in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)., Methods: The cluster random sampling method was used to select 110 ADHD children and 124 normal children as subjects from grade 3-5 students in two primary schools in Kashgar, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. SNAP-IV, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), and visual-spatial working memory paradigm were used for investigation and comparison., Results: Compared with the normal group, the ADHD group had a significantly higher total score of PSQI and scores of subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, sleep efficiency, sleep disturbance, and a higher incidence of sleep quality problems ( P <0.001). The working memory score in the ADHD group was significantly lower than that in the normal group ( P <0.001). In the ADHD group, the working memory score was negatively correlated with the total score of PSQI ( r s =-0.271, P <0.001) and the score of symptoms ( r s =-0.439, P <0.001), and the total score of PSQI was positively correlated with the score of symptoms ( r s =0.540, P <0.001). Working memory had a partial mediating effect in the influence of sleep quality on symptoms in children with ADHD, accounting for 18.10% of the total effect., Conclusions: Sleep quality issues are observed in some children with ADHD, and working memory plays a mediating role between sleep quality and symptoms in ADHD children.

Objective: To investigate the role of moxibustion of "Feishu" (BL13)，"Tianshu" (ST25) for asthma by simultaneously treating lung and intestine (i.e., treating both lung and intestine at the same time) in asthmatic rats., Methods: A total of 48 SD rats were randomly divided into normal, model, lung treatment and joint-treatment of lung and intestine (joint-treatment) groups, with 12 rats in each. The asthma model was established by subcutaneous (bilateral back and inguinal regions) and intraperitoneal injection of mixture solution of albumin and Aluminium Hydroxide gel (on day 1 st , and 9 th ) and followed by inhalation of atomized 1% ovalbumin (on day 15 th , 20 min each time, once daily for 1 week). Moxibustion was applied to bilateral BL13 for rats of the lung treatment group or bilateral BL13 and ST25 for rats of the joint-treatment group. One hour after the intervention, the rats in the later three groups were separately given nebulized 1% ovalbumin solution inhalation for 20 min. The treatments were conducted once daily for 14 consecutive days. After intervention, the lung functions including the forced expiratory flow 25% (FEF 25%), maximal mid-expiratory flow (MMEF), dynamic lung compliance (Cdyn), forced expiratory volume/ forced vital capacity (FEV/FVC), peak expiratory flow (PEF), and lung resistance (RL) were measured by using a small animal lung function detector, and pathological changes and collagen deposition in the lung tissues were observed by H.E. and Masson staining, separately. The levels of interleukin (IL)-17, IL-4, IL-13, IL-33, IL-5, leukotriene (LT) and thymic stromal lymphocyte (TSLP) in the lung tissue were measured by ELISA., Results: Compared with the normal group, the FEF 25%, MMEF， Cdyn， FEV/FVC and PEF were significantly decreased ( P <0.05, P <0.01)， and the pulmonary RL, collagen deposition, and contents of IL-17, IL-4, IL-13, IL-33, IL-5, TSLP and LT were notably increased ( P <0.05, P <0.01) in the model group. After intervention, the MMEF and Cdyn in the lung treatment group, PEF, MMEF, Cdyn, FEV/FVC, FEF 25% in the joint-treatment group, were markedly increased ( P <0.05, P <0.01), whereas the collagen deposition, IL-17, IL-4 and TSLP in both the lung treatment and joint-treatment groups, RL, IL-13, IL-33, IL-5 and LT in the joint-treatment group were considerably down-regulated ( P <0.05, P <0.01). The effects of the joint treatment were apparently superior to those of lung treatment in down-regulating the contents of TSLP and LT ( P <0.05, P <0.01). H.E. staining showed thickened alveolar wall, infiltration of a large number of inflammatory cells in the bronchus of the model group, which was relatively milder in the joint-treatment group., Conclusion: "Joint treatment of lung and intestine" with moxibustion is superior to "lung treatment" alone in ameliorating the lung function and mitigating airway inflammation in rats with asthma.

Using the complex network technology, the characteristics of the core acupoint prescriptions and the application of acupuncture-moxibustion techniques were analyzed in treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) so as to provide the evidences for acupoint selection and therapeutic methods for RA treated with acupuncture and moxibustion. The articles of acupuncture and moxibustion for treatment of RA in recent 20 years were collated and imported, and the database of the acupoint prescriptions was developed. Using Cytoscape 3.9.2 software, the acupoints in the prescriptions were visualized for the common occurrence network analysis. The association rule analysis was performed with IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0 software and the complex network analysis was by Gephi 0.9.2 software. A total of 798 articles were screened, in which, 3 258 prescriptions were extracted with 253 acupoints involved. The analysis of acupoint selection was conducted in terms of syndrome/pattern differentiation, acupoint locations and main acupoints, and therapeutic methods. The results showed that the most common TCM syndromes of RA included painful bi syndrome, wandering bi syndrome, fixed bi syndrome and bi syndrome due to wind, damp and heat. Regarding the core combination of acupoints, painful bi syndrome: Guanyuan (CV 4) and Shenshu (BL 23); fixed bi syndrome: Yinlingquan (SP 9), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Zusanli (ST 36), Pishu (BL 20) and Fenglong (ST 40); wandering bi syndrome: Fengchi (GB 20), Geshu (BL 17), Fengmen (BL 12), Xuehai (SP 10) and Waiguan (TE 5); bi syndrome due to wind, damp and heat: Dazhui (GV 14), Quchi (LI 11) and Hegu (LI 4). Regarding the acupoint locations, the acupoints located in the upper limbs, lower limbs and spinal region were generally selected. Quchi (LI 11) was one of the main acupoints in prescriptions with the highest use frequency. Zusanli (ST 36) and Shenshu (BL 23) presented the highest co-occurrence intensity, while Zusanli (ST 36) and Quchi (LI 11) indicated the highest correlation. The treatment of acupuncture-moxibustion for RA is generally complied with the principle as "the synthesis of main acupoints, supplementary acupoints in local affected area and those based on syndrome differentiation". Warm needling and the combination of acupuncture and herbal medication are the most common therapeutic methods for RA.

Artemisia indica is an important medicinal plant in the Asteraceae family, but its molecular genetic information has been rarely reported. In this study, the chloroplast genome of A. indica was sequenced, assembled, and annotated by the high-throughput sequencing technology, and its sequence characteristics, repeat sequences, codon usage bias, and phylogeny were analyzed. The results showed that the length of the chloroplast genome for A. indica was 151 161 bp, which was a typical circular four-segment structure, including two inverted repeat regions(IRs), a large single-copy(LSC) region, and a small single-copy(SSC) region, with a GC content of 37.47%. A total of 132 genes were annotated, and 114 were obtained after de-duplication, including 80 protein-coding genes, 30 tRNA genes, and 4 rRNA genes. Fifty long repeat sequences and 191 SSRs were detected in the chloroplast genome of A. indica, and SSRs were mainly single nucleotides. Codon usage bias analysis showed that leucine was the most frequently used amino acid(10.77%) in the chloroplast genome, and there were 30 codons with relative synonymous codon usage(RSCU)&gt;1 and all ended with A/U. The phylogenetic tree constructed based on the chloroplast genomes of the 19 species from the Asteraceae family showed that A. indica and A. argyi were closest in the genetic relationship, and Artemisia species clustered into separate evolutionary branches. The results of this study are expected to provide a theoretical basis for the genetic diversity and resource conservation of Artemisia medicinal plants.

This study aims to clarify the effect of Jingfang Mixture on the treatment of chronic urticarial and its mechanism, and investigate the regulatory effect of chronic urticaria on the metabolic disorder of endogenous metabolites in the blood. The mice were randomly divided into normal group, model group, and Jingfang Mixture group, and modeling and administration continued for 21 d. The changes in endogenous small molecules in rat serum were determined by ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-Q Exactive-Orbitrap-mass spectrometry(UHPLC-ESI-QE-Orbitrap-MS) metabolomics technology. The change trend of endogenous metabolites in rat serum was analyzed to find potential biomarkers. The results showed that Jingfang Mixture regulate 16 biomarkers, mainly including taurine, glutamate, succinic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, and arachidonic acid. Metabolic pathway analysis was carried out by MetaboAnalyst, and P&lt;0.01 was taken as the potential key metabolic pathway. Ten metabolic pathways were closely related to the treatment of chronic urticarial by Jingfang Mixture, mainly involved in the glutamate metabolism, taurine and hypotaurine metabolism, arginine and proline metabolism, arachidonic acid metabolism, tricarboxylic acid cycle, unsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis, glutathione metabolism, phenylalanine metabolism, alanine, aspartic acid, and glutamate metabolism, and butyric acid metabolism. Glutamate metabolism and butyric acid metabolism involved more metabolic pathways than others. Therefore, it was speculated that Jingfang Mixture had a balanced regulating effect on the related metabolic pathways which caused the serum disorder in the rats with urticaria, and tended to regulate the metabolic differential to the normal level in the rats with urticaria. This paper provides references for studying the mechanism of Jingfang Mixture from the perspective of endogenous metabolites and metabolic pathways in vivo. At the same time, the endogenous substances explored in this paper can be used as important biomarkers for the prevention of urticaria.

To investigate the characteristics and source apportionment of atmospheric volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in Dalian, the concentration level, composition characteristics, reaction activity, and source apportionment of atmospheric VOCs in Dalian were analyzed based on high-resolution online observation VOCs data from June to August 2020. The results showed that the average φ (VOCs) was (10.21±5.71)×10 -9 , in which alkanes accounted for 66.35%, alkenes for 11.89%, alkynes for 7.75%, and aromatics for 14.01%. VOCs and NO x were high at night and low during the day, whereas the change trend of O 3 was opposite. Considering the species activity, it was determined that toluene, ethylene, m/p -xylene, 1-hexene, n -butane, isopentane, n -pentane, and isoprene were the key species affecting atmospheric VOCs in Dalian. Priority control of olefin and aromatic hydrocarbon emissions is the key to improve O 3 pollution in summer in Dalian. By applying the positive matrix factorization (PMF) model, six major VOCs sources were extracted, namely traffic sources (26.38%), combustion sources (22.75%), industrial emission sources (17.09%), solvent usage sources (14.59%), natural sources (11.72%), and others (7.47%). The emissions of traffic sources and combustion sources are the key pollution sources for O 3 prevention and control in Dalian in summer.

Medicinal plant stem cells come from a broad category of medicinal plants, including ethnic medicinal plants, folk medicinal plants, original plants of health products, vegetables, fruits, and other potential medicinal plants. At present, the techniques for the isolation, identification, preservation and culture of medicinal plant stem cells have become increasingly mature, and the mechanism of stem cell differentiation, growth and regulation of secondary metabolites has been studied in depth. Medicinal plant stem cells have a broad application prospect in medicine, health food, food and medical beauty products. As a strategic resource, the construction of the &quot;Global Medicinal Plant Stem Cell Bank&quot; was first proposed to preserve various kinds of medicinal plant resources in the world, and it will go global relying on the internationalization strategy of traditional Chinese medicine. The bank should follow safety, environmental protection, advanced and practical design principles. The main construction contents include the original plant bank, stem cell bank, component resource bank, gene bank, database and resource sharing system, with genetic and data resources incorporated into the scope of protection and utilization. The bank will establish a new strategy for medicinal plant resources protection and regeneration, and provide a new resource for natural products drug discovery and a technology sharing platform for various medicinal plant stem cells. As a resource treasury, a source of innovative technologies and a center of cooperation, it will become the core driving force of the global medicinal plant stem cell industry.

Objective: To investigate the expression of WTAP gene in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and its clinical significance., Methods: 74 acute myeloid leukemia patients with non-M3 type and 19 normal donors were selected, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to detect the mRNA expression level of WTAP gene in their bone marrow cells. The relationship between the mRNA expression level of WTAP gene and the clinical characteristics was analyzed., Results: The relative mRNA expression of WTAP gene in the non-M3 AML group was significantly higher than that in the healthy control group, and the difference showed statistically significant (P<0.01). There showed no statistically significant difference in WTAP gene expression among each subtypes (all P>0.05) according to the classification of FAB. The mRNA expression level of WTAP gene in FLT3-ITD mutated AML patients was higher than that in FLT3-ITD unmutated group (P=0.016), and the mRNA expression level of WTAP gene in AML patients with CEBPα mutation was lower than that in CEBPα unmutated group (P=0.016). The expression level of WTAP mRNA was positively correlated with WT1 expression (r=0.6866, P<0.01). There was no relationship between WTAP mRNA expression level and other clinical parameters, such as age, gender, white blood cell count, hemoglobin level, platelet count, bone marrow original proportion of immature cells, chromosome karyotype, and NPM1, DNMT3A, ASXL1, NRAS, TET2 genes mutation status (P>0.05). The expression level of WTAP mRNA showed no obvious effect on the complete remission of patients after first treatment. The different expression level of WTAP gene at initial diagnosis showed also no effect on the overall survival time of patients., Conclusion: The expression level of WTAP gene is increasing in new diagnosed non-M3 acute myeloid leukemia. There is a positive correlation between the expression level of WTAP gene and the expression level of WT1 fusion gene. WTAP mRNA always shows higher expression in patients with FLT3-ITD mutation than that in patients without FLT3-ITD mutation, and shows lower expression in patients with CEBPα mutation than that in unmutated group.

Objective: To compare the plasma components of frozen plasma (FP) and fresh frozen plasma (FFP)., Methods: Twenty samples of FP and 20 samples of FFP from Beijing Red Cross Blood Center were randomly selected. Immediately after plasma melting, 12 plasma components including coagulation factor, fibrinolytic system and anticoagulation protein were detected, including activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), coagulation factor Ⅷ (FⅧ) activity, coagulation factor Ⅴ (FⅤ) activity, fibrinogen(FIB) level, ADAMTS-13 activity, von Willebrand factor(vWF) activity, D-dimer (D-dimer, DD), fibrin degradation products (FDP), antithrombin (AT), protein C (PC), and protein S (PS). All these coagulation components between the two types of plasma were compared and analyzed., Results: Compared with FFP, APTT in FP was significantly prolonged(t=3.428, P<0.01), and PT was also significantly prolonged(z=-2.140, P<0.05), and FⅧ activity was decreased (t=-3.372, P<0.01), but all in the reference range, and PS activity was decreased(t=-2.458，P＜0.05), there was no statistical difference in the other part between two types of plasma(P>0.05)., Conclusion: FP can substitute FFP in the treatment of some diseases, although it is lack of some coagulation factors and anticoagulation protein.

Objective: To study the clinical features and prognosis of childhood acute myeloid leukemia with myelodysplasia-related changes (AML-MRC)., Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on the medical data of 14 children who were diagnosed with AML-MRC from June 2014 to March 2020, including clinical features, laboratory examination results, and prognosis., Results: Among the 14 children with AML-MRC, there were 9 boys and 5 girls, with a median age of 11 years (range: 1-17 years), a median leukocyte count of 8.3×10 9 /L [range: (2.0-191.0)×10 9 /L], a median hemoglobin level of 73 g/L (range: 44-86 g/L), and a median platelet count of 75×10 9 /L [range: (4-213)×10 9 /L] at diagnosis. According to the FAB classification, the children with AML-M5 accounted for 71% (10/14). Among the 14 children, 4 had multi-lineage dysplasia (MLD), 2 had a history of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), 5 had MDS-related cytogenetic changes, 2 had MLD with MDS-related cytogenetic changes, and 1 had a history of MDS with MLD. The median follow-up time was 10.6 months (range: 0.4-54.4 months) for 14 children, among whom 2 gave up treatment immediately after diagnosis and 12 had an evaluable treatment outcome. The 2-year overall survival (OS) rate was 50%±15%, and the 2-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate was 33%±13%. Of the 12 children, 7 underwent haploidentical hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), among whom 5 achieved DFS and 2 died, with a 2-year OS rate of 71%±17% and a 2-year DFS rate of 43%±19%; 5 children underwent chemotherapy alone, among whom 1 achieved DFS, 3 died, and 1 was lost to follow-up, with a 2-year OS rate of 40%±30% and a 2-year DFS rate of 30%±24%. There was no significant difference in the survival condition between the transplantation and chemotherapy groups ( P > 0.05)., Conclusions: Childhood AML-MRC is often observed in boys, and AML-M5 is the most common type based on FAB classification. Such children tend to have a poor prognosis. HSCT is expected to improve the poor prognosis of children with AML-MRC. However due to the small number of cases, it is necessary to increase the number of cases for further observation.

Objective: To observe the effect of moxibustion on respiratory function and contents of histamine and neuropeptides in skin tissue of "Feishu" (BL13) in asthmatic rats, so as to explore its mechanisms underlying improvement of asthma., Methods: Thirty-six SD rats were randomly divided into normal control, model and moxibustion groups, with 12 rats in each group. The asthma model was established by subcutaneous injection (at the back and groin, 0.5 mL) and i．p. injection (1 mL)of mixture solution of ovalbumin (OVA), Aluminium Hydroxide gel and 0.9% sodium chloride solution, and repeated nasal drip of 1% OVA. Moxibustion was applied to bilateral BL13 for 15 min, once daily for 14 days. The inspiratory and expiratory resistance, and pulmonary ventilation compliance were detected by using a small animal pulmonary function tester under anesthesia. The contents of histamine, vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP), substance P (SP) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) in the local skin tissue of the left BL13 were assayed by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)., Results: After modeling, the inspiratory and expiratory resistance were significantly increased ( P <0.01), and the lung ventilation compliance was significantly decreased in the model group relevant to the normal control group ( P <0.01). Outcomes of ELISA showed that the content of VIP was significantly lower ( P <0.01), and those of histamine, SP and CGRP in the skin of left BL13 were significantly increased in the model group relevant to the normal control group ( P <0.01). Following the intervention, the inspiratory and expiratory resis-tance, cutaneous histamine, SP and CGRP contents were significantly decreased ( P <0.01), while the lung ventilation compliance and cutaneous VIP level were significantly increased in the moxibustion group in contrast to the model group ( P <0.01, P <0.05)., Conclusion: Moxibustion of BL13 can improve pulmonary function in asthma rats, which may be related to changes of levels of histamine and neuropeptides as VIP, SP and CGRP in the local skin tissues of BL13.

To investigate exposure characteristics and potential health risk of PM 2.5 -bound heavy metals in housewives in rural areas, 265 personal exposure samples from 143 subjects were collected in the Songjiang district, Shanghai from February 2017 to June 2018. Mass concentrations of 13 elements in PM 2.5 were determined by energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (ED-XRF). The sources of heavy metal components in PM 2.5 were analyzed using positive matrix factorization (PMF). The inhalation health risks of exposure to Ni, V, Cr, Mn, As, and Pb were analyzed using the US EPA health risk assessment model. The results showed that the average concentration of personal exposure to PM 2.5 was 40.61 μg·m -3 in housewives, which was higher than the concentration at peripheral monitoring stations. The carcinogenic risks of Cr(Ⅵ)and As exceeded the acceptable risk level (10 -6 ). The non-carcinogenic risks of V, Cr(Ⅵ), Mn, Ni, and As were all below the safety threshold, while the total non-carcinogenic risks of these five elements were higher than the safety threshold (>1). The results of PMF indicated that resuspended dust and indoor dust(43.8%), the metallurgy industry(34.6%), coal combustion(14.5%), and fossil-fuel combustion(7.2%)were the major sources of ten elements (Al, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Ni, Zn, As, and Pb) in PM 2.5 . Based on the results of health risk assessment of pollution sources, control measures on the metallurgy industry and fossil-fuel combustion should be further strengthened.

Objective: To investigate the value of multiparameter flow cytometry (MFC) and flow cytometric scoring system (FCSS) in the diagnosis and prognostic evaluation of childhood myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)., Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of 42 children who were diagnosed with MDS. MFC was performed to investigate the phenotype and proportion of each lineage of bone marrow cells. The correlations of FCSS score with MDS type, International Prognostic Scoring System (IPSS) score, and revised IPSS (IPSS-R) score were analyzed., Results: Of all the 42 children, 20 (48%) had an increase in abnormal marrow blasts, 19 (45%) had a lymphoid/myeloid ratio of >1, 14 (33%) had abnormal cross-lineage expression of lymphoid antigens in myeloid cells, 8 (19%) had abnormal CD13/CD16 differentiation antigens, 5 (12%) had abnormal expression of CD56, 3 (7%) had reduced or increased side scatter of granulocytes, 3 (7%) had reduced expression of CD36 in nucleated red blood cells, 2 (5%) had reduced expression of CD71 in nucleated red blood cells, 1 (2%) had absent expression of CD33 in myeloid cells, 1 (2%) had reduced or absent expression of CD11b in granulocytes, and 1 (2%) had absent expression of CD56 and CD14 in monocytes. There were significant differences in the median overall survival time and event-free survival time among the low-, medium-, and high-risk FCSS groups (P<0.05). Among the low-, medium-, and high-risk FCSS groups, the low-risk FCSS group had the highest 2-year overall survival rate, while there was no significant difference between the medium- and high-risk FCSS groups (P>0.05). The three groups had a 2-year event-free survival rate of 95%, 60%, and 46% respectively (P<0.05). FCSS score was positively correlated with MDS type, IPSS score, and IPSS-R score (P<0.05)., Conclusions: MFC and FCSS help with the diagnosis and prognostic evaluation of childhood MDS.

Sucrose non-fermenting related protein kinases (SnRKs) are a ubiquitous Ser/Thr protein kinase in the plant kingdom. These kinases play important roles in plant growth, development, metabolism and resistance to environmental stresses. The soybean (Glycine max L.) genome has four SnRK1 genes, of which GmSnRK1.1 and GmSnRK1.2 are predominant and participate in multiple stress response pathways. To dissect the mechanism of the role of GmSnRK1.1 and GmSnRK1.2 proteins in response to ABA and alkaline stresses, we constructed a dual-gRNA CRISPR vector to specifically knock out GmSnRK1.1 and GmSnRK1.2. The resultant constructs were transformed into soybean cotyledon nodes to induce hairy roots by agrobacteria (Agrobacterium rhizogenes). The soybean hairy roots obtained were genotyped, and the results showed that GmSnRK1.1 and GmSnRK1.2 were efficiently doubly knocked out in 48.6% hairy roots. We also generated control hairy roots that over-expressed GmSnRK1. The materials were treated with 25 μmol/L ABA for 15 days and the results showed that the growths of wild-type and GmSnRK1 over-expressed roots were significantly inhibited than GmSnRK1.1 GmSnRK1.2 double-knockout roots, as the controls displayed less root lengths and fresh weights. However, after treating with 50 mmol/L NaHCO 3 for 15 days, we found that the growths of GmSnRK1.1 GmSnRK1.2 double-knockout roots were significantly inhibited than the wild-type and GmSnRK1 over-expressed control roots, as the knockout groups contained less root lengths and fresh weights. These results implied that the GmSnRK1.1 GmSnRK1.2 double knockout mitigated hairy root sensitivity to ABA and resistance to alkaline stress. Taken together, we established the CRISPR/Cas9 system to perform gene double knockout in the soybean and by using this technique, we determined the roles of GmSnRK1.1 and GmSnRK1.2 in response of abiotic stresses.

Teeth impaction is a common developmental malformation in oral diseases. Impacted teeth are usually the canines, third molar, central incisors, premolars, and second molars. The prevalence of impaction of maxillary canines and mandibular wisdom teeth is higher than that of other teeth. Most recent studies have focused on the canines and third molars, but research on impacted premolars is limited. In clinical practice, the majority of orthodontic patients require premolar extraction. Thus, impacted premolars play important roles in orthodontic design and prognosis. This article provides an overview of recent research on impacted premolars and summarizes epidemiological features, localizations, and treatments, with the aim of guiding practitioners on orthodontic design and therapy.

In the theory of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) that "kidney storing essence and governing reproduction", reproductive essence is an important part of the kidney essence and acts as the original material of offspring embryos. Sperm, oocyte and zygote should be all included in the range of reproductive essence. Ovum is the essence of reproduction from inborn. The follicles maturation depends on the quality of oocyte and the vigor of kidney essence. Meanwhile, discharge of mature ovum relies on the stimulation and promotion by kidney Qi. Autophagy almost exists in different cells stages and all various of mammalian cells. Many studies have found that autophagy not only participates in the formation of follicles, but also in every phase of the follicles development, and is involved in the occurrence and development of ovarian diseases. Recently, more and more scholars believe that autophagy is a new field to explore the microcosmic relationship between autophagy and TCM. Kidney-nourishing TCM could promote follicular growth and improve variety clinical symptoms by inhibiting the apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells and reducing follicular atresia. Meanwhile, apoptosis of ovarian granulosa cells is closely related to autophagy of ovarian granulosa cells. In order to provide some theoretical foundation for kidney-nourishing therapy's promoting effect on follicular growth and improving effect on ovarian function, also to further explore the molecular mechanism of kidney-nourishing medicine in promoting follicular development, this paper would explain the microcosmic relationship between autophagy and follicular development based on the theory of "kidney governing reproduction". Cardiac troponin T (cTnT) serves as a structural protein of myocardial fiber, and participates in heart excitation-contraction coupling process. Here, we generated tnnt2a (cTnT-coding gene) deletion mutant zebrafish via CRISPR/Cas9 technique, and performed phenotypic analysis of the identified tnnt2a mutants. We observed that there was no significant difference between heterozygous mutant and wild type zebrafish, and the homozygous mutants displayed significant malformations in heart, including cardiac arrest, atrium and ventricle enlargement, pericardium effusion, and the individuals usually died before 7 day post fertilization (dpf). We further analyzed the expression alternations of heart sarcomere genes (tnnt2a, actc1a, tpm4a, myl7, vmhc) at transcriptional level in tnnt2a -/- (Δ2) zebrafish by performing real time RT-PCR, and found that the RNA expression level of tnnt2a in tnnt2a -/- zebrafish decreased constantly at each time point of developmental stages, and actc1a, tpm4a, myl7 and vmhc all showed higher expressions at early developmental stages and lower expressions at late developmental stages, in comparison with those of wild type zebrafish. Lastly, electron microscopy on cardiac tissues suggested that there were significant changes of the thick or thin filament structures in tnnt2a -/- (Δ2) zebrafish, which was further confirmed by F-actin and Tpm4 immunofluorescence staining. The tnnt2a -/- zebrafish generated by CRISPR/Cas9 bears the most common symptoms of patients with dilated cardiomyopathy, and therefore can be used as a tool to study TNNT2-deficiency related cardiomyopathy.

Based on the data of the field investigation and laboratory and the database of the 8 th national forestry inventory, ecosystem carbon density, storage amount, and sequestration potential of tree layer were estimated for five typical plantation ecosystems (Robinia pseudoacacia, Populus spp., Pinus tabuliformis Pinus armandii, which were grouped as one kind of ecosystems, Larix principis-rupprechtii, and Picea asperata) in Gansu Province. The results showed that the average carbon density and total carbon storage of the five typical plantation ecosystems were 139.65 t·hm -2 and 85.78 Tg, respectively. Ecosystem carbon density varied among ecosystems. It followed the sequence of premature (250.70 t·hm -2 ) > mature (175.97 t·hm -2 ) > middle-aged (156.92 t·hm -2 ) > young (117.56 t·hm -2 ) forest. Meanwhile, carbon storage in these plantations ranked in the order of young (45.47 Tg) > middle-aged (19.54 Tg) > mature (11.84 Tg) > pre-mature (8.93 Tg) forest. Specifically, young and middle-aged plantations contributed the most and accounted for 75.9% of the total carbon storage. The realistic carbon sequestration potential (CP r ) by tree layer of the five typical plantation ecosystems in Gansu Province was estimated as 7.27 Tg. The two largest contributors toCP r were R. pseudoacacia (2.49 Tg) and Populus spp. (2.10 Tg). Young plantations (3.78 Tg) showed the largest CP r , followed by middle-aged plantations (2.04 Tg), and the value of premature plantations (0.45 Tg) was the smallest. The maximum carbon sequestration potential (CP max ) might be up to 27.55 Tg, the CP max with different plantations ranked in the order of R. pseudoacacia (9.42 Tg)> L. principis-rupprechtii (6.22 Tg) ≈ P. asperata (6.36 Tg) > Populus spp. (3.18 Tg) >P. tabuliformis P. armandii (2.37 Tg). The CP max of young and middle-aged plantations was estimated as 18.48 and 6.89 Tg, respectively, which accounted for 92% of the total maximum carbon sequestration potential.

Developmental dyslexia in children is one of the neurodevelopmental disorders and is affected by various susceptible genes. In recent years, researchers have found some susceptible genes for dyslexia via chromosome analysis, genome-wide association studies, association analysis, gene function research, neuroimaging, and neurophysiological techniques. This article reviews the research advances in susceptible genes for developmental dyslexia, and with the study on susceptible genes for dyslexia, it lays a foundation for in-depth studies on the "gene-brain-behavior" level and provides scientific clues for exploring etiology and pathogenesis of dyslexia.

Objective: To investigate the association between clinical outcome and gene mutations in children with Fanconi anemia (FA)., Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed for the clinical data of six children with the same severity of FA and receiving the same treatment. At first, single cell gel electrophoresis and chromosome breakage induced by mitomycin C were performed for diagnosis. Then the gene detection kit for congenital bone marrow failure diseases or complementation test was used for genotyping of FA. Finally the association between the clinical outcome at 3, 6, 9, or 12 months after treatment and gene mutation was analyzed., Results: Of all the six FA children, five had FANCA type disease, and one had FANCM type disease; four children carried two or more FA gene mutations. Among the children with the same severity of FA, those with more FA mutations had a younger age of onset and poorer response to medication, and tended to progress to a severe type., Conclusions: Children carrying more than two FA mutations have a poor clinical outcome, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation should be performed as soon as possible.

Contamination of heavy metal in soil causes several severe environmental problems. Cadmium is one of the most toxic metals to organisms. In plants, Cd toxicity often results in over-accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which causes oxidative damage to the plant organs. In this review, we discussed the processes of how Cd stress causes over-accumulation of ROS in plant and how plant recovers from the Cd-induced oxdative stress. We especially focused on the roles of signal, including nitric oxide (NO), calcium (Ca), plant hormones (e.g. auxin and abscisic acid) and mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs), in above two processes. Our review may provide theoretical basis for future research on the mechanism of plant tolerating Cd stress.

Macrophages have two major roles in regulating the dynamic equilibrium in erythropoiesis, promoting the differentiation and maturation of nucleated red blood cells into reticulocytes and removing old red blood cells. A recent mouse study has demonstrated that the phenotype of macrophages in erythroblastic islands is CD169+ VCAM-1+ ER-HR3+ CD11b+ F4/80+ Ly-6G+. Molecular connections between erythroid progenitor cells and central macrophages help to maintain the function and integrity of erythroblastic islands. New research advances in Kruppel-like factor 1 (KLF1) provide new evidence for the important role of macrophages in erythroblastic islands. Macrophages play an important role in erythropoiesis both in sickness and in health, and provide a potential targeted therapy for diseases such as polycythemia vera and beta-thalassemia in the future.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of digoxin on the chemoresistance of human breast cancer cell line MCF-7/adriamycin (ADR) and its underlying mechanism. MCF-7 and MCF-7/ADR cells were designated as control and ADR groups, respectively. MCF-7/ADR cells in ADR + digoxin group received 48 h of digoxin (10 nmol/L) treatment; MCF-7/ADR cells transfected with pLKO.1-shHIF-1α and pLKO.1-shcontrol plasmids were named shHIF-1α and shcontrol groups, respectively. CCK-8 assay was employed to detect the cytotoxic effect of ADR on MCF-7/ADR cells, and IC50 value and resistance index were calculated according to CCK-8. RT-PCR was used to measure the mRNA levels of hypoxia inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) and multidrug resistance-1 (MDR1). Western blot was used to analyze the protein levels of HIF-1α and MDR1. Flow cytometry was used to determine the apoptosis. The result showed that the resistance index of MCF-7/ADR cells was 115.6, and it was reduced to 47.2 under the action of digoxin (P < 0.05). In comparison with control group, ADR groups showed increased protein and mRNA levels of HIF-1α and MDR1 (P < 0.05). Digoxin reduced the protein levels of HIF-1α and MDR1, as well as the mRNA level of MDR1, but did not affect the mRNA level of HIF-1α. After HIF-1α gene was silenced, the protein levels of HIF-1α and MDR1 were down-regulated (P < 0.05), and the pro-apoptotic effect of ADR on MCF-7/ADR cells was enhanced. Although it was also observed that digoxin promoted cell apoptosis in both shcontrol and shHIF-1α groups, the difference between the two groups was not significant. In conclusion, the results suggest that digoxin may partially reverse the ADR resistance in human breast cancer cell line MCF-7/ADR by means of down-regulating the expression levels of HIF-1α and MDR1 and promoting apoptosis via HIF-1α-independent pathway.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the most common leukemia in adult, among them the childhood acute myeloid leukemia accounts for 15% to 20%. After exploring and investigating this disease for 60 years, the systematic chemotherapy can achieve complete remission for 75%-80% AML patients, but only 20%-30% AML patients out of them can be cured, and other AML patients relapsed or died of this disease. The primary and/or seondary chemotherapy resistance may be the main reasons of the poor prognosis in AML. The activity of nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) involved into multi-layers of physiological functions. Among them, the activity of NF-κB and the apoptosis toleration associated with the sensitivity to chemotherapy. All these indicated that the inhibition of NF-κB may be a promising direction to reverse chemoresistance and improve chemotherapeutic effects for AML. Herein is the review of recent research progress on the field of the roles of NF-κB activation in AML and its application in AML therapy.

Objective: To observe the clinical effect and safety of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment in gouty arthritis (GA) based on syndrome differentiation., Methods: 81 patients of GA were enrolled from August 2013 to August 2014. They were divided into syndrome differentiation treatment group (27 cases), disease differentiation treatment group (27 cases) and basic treatment group (27 cases). The patients in syndrome differentiation treatment group were given corresponding TCM drug granules prescription by dialectical syndromes classification. The patients in disease differentiation treatment group were given TCM drug granules prescription. The patients in basic treatment group.were only given Diclofenac Sodium sustained-release tablets in acute phase, and Benzbromarone tablets in chronic phase. After 12 weeks treatments, all the patients received the measurements of serum uric acid (SUA), serum creatinine (SCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), triacylglycerol (TG), cholesterol (TC). The clinical efficacy, recurrence rate and adverse reactions were recorded and analyzed., Results: Syndrome differentiation treatment group achieved higher clinical efficacy than basic treatment group and disease differentiation treatment group (P<0. 05). Moreover, syndrome differentiation treatment were superior to disease differentiation treatment in improving of recurrence rate (P<0. 05). There were no obvious adverse reactions occurred. There were no clinical significant changes in blood, urine routine analysis, and electrocardiogram examination before and 3 months after the treatments., Conclusion: The treatment of TCM in patients with GA based on syndrome differentiation showed definite therapeutic effects.

Batch experiments were conducted to investigate the effect of soluble and insoluble decomposing products (decomposed for 1 day and 120 day; noted by DP1 and DP120, respectively) from immobilized carriers (corncob) on the desorption of pyrene in PAH-contaminated soil (120 d ageing, 20 mg x kg(-1)). It was found that (1) adding decomposing products of immobilized carriers could not only increase the rapidly desorbing fraction, but also improve the desorption rate of pyrene. The desorption rates of pyrene increased from 20% to 81.8% and 84.5% because of adding insoluble DP1 and DP120, and from 40% to 89.6% and 88.5% because of adding soluble DP1 and DP120. (2) The sorption amounts of pyrene by insoluble DP1 and.DP120 were 9. 4 and 16. 6 times higher than that by natural corncob, respectively. The sorption amounts of XAD-2 resins were increased by 1.5 and 3.1 times due to the added soluble DP1 and DP120, respectively. These results indicated that decomposing products of immobilized carries could improve the desorption of pyrene by sorption or activation in contaminated soil.
