Schelling is one of the four masters of German classical aesthetics. He was not only a transitional figure from Kant to Hegel, but also departed from the continental tradition of rational determinism to embark on ontology. For the first time, he proposed the concept of ontological "philosophy of art," and constructed art under the principle of the "philosophy of identity." His research focused on the ontological philosophy of mythology, which regarded myth as the absolute poetry. His Philosophy of Art creates a sublime view of tragedy, which regards the spiritual sublimation resulting from the tragic protagonist's voluntary punishment as the ultimate goal. Schelling advocated the ideas of "nature as subject" and "holistic" natural aesthetics. His aesthetics and artistic thoughts transcend times and have far-reaching influence on future generations. Objectives: This study aims to analyze and summarize the characteristics of supernumerary teeth by using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT)., Methods: A total of 718 patients with 1 138 supernumerary teeth were retrospectively collected. Age, gender, number, location, morphology, eruption status, and accompanying symptoms of the supernumerary teeth were statistically analyzed. The relationship relative to jaws, gender, and eruption status were analyzed and discussed., Results: The average age of the patients was 9.54±5.32 years, and the male to female ratio was 2.88∶1. About 77.02% of the patients sought medical advice during the mixed dentition period, and 50.70% had one supernumerary tooth. These supernumeraries were most commonly conical in shape, and 85.76% of them were in the incisor region, 92.09% in the upper jaw, 46.75% in inverted position, and 86.20% unerupted. Overall, 65.29% of them had fully developed roots, and 60.63% had an impact on adjacent structures. Significant differences were found in eruption status, morphology, zoning, direction, root development, and impact on adjacent structures between the supernumerary teeth located in the upper and lower jaws ( P <0.05). Significant differences were also detected in gender, morphology, zoning, orientation, root development, and impact on adjacent structures between erupted and unerupted teeth ( P <0.05). The incidence of supernumerary teeth in the incisor region was higher in males than that in females. Moreover, the root of supernumeraries was more completely developed in males than in females ( P <0.05)., Conclusions: For supernumerary teeth, CBCT images can provide accurate three-dimensional radiographic data and are valuable for clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.

Purpose: To explore the effect of nasal deformity correction after unilateral cleft lip repair with autogenous concha cartilage transplantation., Methods: Thirteen patients with nasal deformity after unilateral cleft lip surgery were collected, who were treated with autogenous concha cartilage and nasal septum deviation correction at the same time. Their chin-lifting photos were taken before operation, five days, one month and six months after operation. The nasal morphology was evaluated by subjective evaluation and objective measurement, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 21.0 software package., Results: Subjective evaluation showed that there was significant difference in nasal morphology between prior to operation and 5 days postoperatively (P=0.000), but there was no significant difference between 5 days postoperatively and 1 month and 6 months postoperatively(P=0.110, 0.053). In objective measurement, there was no significant difference in the symmetry rate of nasal tip between prior to operation and 5 days, 1 month and 6 months after operation(P=0.051, 0.136, 0.204), but there was significant difference in the symmetry rate of nasal base, nasal columella, extranasal convex angle and nasal alar base inclination angle between prior to operation and 5 days postoperatively(P=0.000, 0.000, 0.000, 0.000). However, there was no significant difference in symmetry rate of the above four indexes between 5 days after operation and 1 month and 6 months after operation(P＞0.05)., Conclusions: Autogenous concha cartilage transplantation can effectively improve the symmetry of nasal floor, columella and alar after operation, and the effect is stable half a year after operation.

Aminopeptidase N has been identified as the cellular receptor for human coronavirus HCoV-229E and was a putative receptor for the spike glycoprotein encoded by the SARS-associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV). We report here identification of 9 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in ANPEP, encoding human aminopeptidase N, in Chinese. All ANPEP exons and their flanking intronic sequences were amplified from unrelated normal individuals by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and screened using denaturing high-performance liquid chromatography (DHPLC). Nine SNPs were revealed after direct sequencing of PCR amplified fragments which showed changes of DHPLC chromatogram. Four of these polymorphisms, T321M(962C > T), S651L(1952C > T), S752N(2255G > A) and G764R(2290G > A), were non-synonymous; the remaining exonic synonymous and intronic ones were T795T(2385C > T), IVS7 + 17G > A, IVS14-16A > G, IVS17 + 12C > G and IVS17 + 44C > T. Our data may be useful for studies to investigate the role of host genetic factors in SARS pathogenesis, especially for identifying SARS-susceptible and/or anti-SARS alleles.
