Leakage is the primary failure form of the dry gas seal, while the end face of the seal ring makes the main leaking channel. For some specific conditions, based on the relationships between the structural parameters and the gas film properties of the seal ring, the methods of finite element simulation and orthogonal optimization were used to select a better combination of the seal ring end face structural parameters. In addition, the steady-state heat distribution of the seal ring was simulated. On the basis of that, the thermal deformation of the seal ring was computed to explore the relationships between the material parameters and the sealing properties of the seal ring. The research results show that, except the elastic modulus, the thermal conductivity, Poisson' s ratio and thermal expansion coefficient are all in a quasi-linear relationship with the thermal deformation of the seal ring. A finite element and boundary element model updating method was proposed, which is based on frequency response functions(FRF) of structure vibration and acoustic system by experiment and numerical computing respectively. The method is used to update a submarine finite element model. The correlation functions and sensitivity algorithm between the experimental FRF and initial finite element analysis FRF were attained. This paper is focused on a mathematical model of vibrations of magnetic materials under magnetization. A general mathematical expression of magnetic forces was presented according to the theory of electromagnetic field. Based on its geometrical and physical features, a mechanical model of magnetic materials in electric machines was established. Due to the symmetry of magnetic circuit of large power equipment, its simplified mathematical model of magnetic forces was discussed. Combination of the above models was made to formulate the required models. The proposed models can be used to analyze the vibration and noise caused by eddy current in magnetic circuit of large power equipments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: To investigate the effect of LNK gene silencing and overexpression on the expression of STAT3 gene in human monocytic leukemia cells (THP-1)., Methods: THP-1 cells were cultured, and the lentivirus was used as a vector to silence and overexpres the LNK gene stably. After transfection for 72 hours, the GFP expression levels were observed by inverted fluorescence microscopy. The lentiviral transfection efficiencies were detected by flow cytometry. The effects of LNK silencing and overexpression were confirmed, and the expression of STAT3 mRNA was detected by RT-PCR. The protein levels of LNK and STAT3 were detected by Western blotting., Results: The GFP expression level of THP-1 cells reached more than 85% after transfection with lentivirus for 72 hours, and the transfection efficiency of cells was above 99%. mRNA expressions levels of LNK and STAT3 in LNK silencing group were signifycantly lower than those in control group, while LNK and STAT3 mRNA levels in the LNK overexpression group was significantly higher than those in control group (P＜0.05). The protein expression levels of LNK and STAT3 in LNK silencing group were significantly lower than those in control group, while that in LNK overexpression group was significantly higher than that in control group (P＜0.05)., Conclusion: The THP-1 cell line with LNK gene silencing and overexpression has been successfully established. The LNK gene silencing resulted in decrease of STAT3 expression; LNK gene overexpression and leads to inereases of STAT3 expression indicating that LNK participates in the regulation of STAT3.

Objective: To detect the mutation and single nucleotide polymorphisms of STAT3 gene in the patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN), and to analyze the correlation between STAT3 gene and the subtypes of MPN., Methods: A total of 147 patients with MPN were selected, including 28 patients with polycythaemia vera (PV), 46 patients with essential thrombocythemia (ET), 10 patients with primary myelofibrosis (PMF), and 63 patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML); and 88 healthy persons were used as normal control. DNA of all cases was extracted from bone marrow or peripheral blood, and JAK2V617F gene mutation was detected by allele-specific PCR, then 23 exons of STAT3 gene were amplified by PCR. Mutation and single nucleotide polymorphism of Rs2293152 of STAT3 gene were identified by DNA sequencing., Results: STAT3 gene mutation was found in 8 patients with CML. The mutation rate was 12.7%. the missense mutation（S629T）as found in 3 cases, the synonymous mutation was found in 5 cases (Q469Q 3 cases, G618G 2 cases). One case had mutations at the both sites of S629T and G618G. No mutation of STAT3 gene was found in the normal control group. Rs2293152: detection showed that the G allele of CML group was significantly higher than that of normal control, PV, ET and PMF group (P<0.01), suggesting that the patients with Rs2293152 G allele were more likely to develop CML. The C allele of PV, ET and PMF group was significantly higher than that of CML group (P<0.05), suggesting that the patients with Rs2293152 C allele were more likely to develop PV, ET and PMF. The G allele fiequency of JAK2V617F-negative group was significantly lower than that of the normal control and JAK2V617F positive group (P<0.01), suggesting that the Rs2293152 G allele may be a factor protecting against JAK2V617F mutation., Conclusion: In MPN patients, STAT3 gene is unstable and prone to mutation. The different alleles of the Rs2293152 locus of the STAT3 gene are relates with different subtypes and JAK2V617F-negative MPN.

Objective: To investigate whether Artesunate(ART) can inhibit the proliferation of THP-1 cells and to explore the potential mechanism of its anti-leukemia effect., Methods: THP-1 cells were treated with 5 concentrations of Artesunate for 24 h, 48 h or 72 h. The viability of cells was detected with CCK-8 assay, apoptosis was assessed by using flow cytometry, and the STAT3, Caspase3 and Caspase8 protein levels were measured with Western blot ., Results: Compared with the control group, ART significantly inhibited the proliferation of THP-1 cells in a dose-dependent manner (r=0.9829, P<0.05). ART also increased the apoptosis of THP-1 cells. The results of Western blot showed that after treated with ART, the STAT3 protein expression in THP-1 cells was significantly down-regulated (P<0.01), and the expressions of Caspase3, cleaved Caspase3 and Caspase8 proteins were up-regulated(P<0.01)., Conclusion: Artesunate can inhibit the proliferation of THP-1 cells, which may relate with the down-regulation of STAT3 expression and the activation of Capase3 and Caspase8.

Objective: To investigate the expression of LNK gene in patients with acute leukemia (AL) and its correlation with the clinical characteristics., Methods: Real-time quantitative RT-PCR was used to detect the level of LNK mRNA in bone marrow samples from 80 patients diagnosed as AL(42 cases of ALL, and 38 cases of AML), and its relevance with clinical indicators was statistically analyzed. Western blot was used to detect the expression of LNK protein. The bone marrow samples of 16 healthy volunteers were used as the controls., Results: The LNK mRNA levels in ALL and AML groups were significantly higher than that in control group (P=0.007, P=0.021) and there was no statistical difference between ALL and AML groups. The LNK levels in ALL and AML groups possitively correlated with the risk of patients (P=0.000, P=0.04, r=0.5, r=0.386), And the LNK levels in high risk ALL and AML groups were significantly higher than that in control group (P=0.035, P=0.032), the LNK levels in intermediate risk of AML and ALL groups (P=0.239,P=0.609) and the LNK level in standard risk (P=0.974, P=1) were all higher than that in control group, there was no statistianl significance. but the risks of different groups showed no statistical significance. The LNK protein level in patients with acute leukemia was higher than that in control group., Conclusion: The expression level of LNK gene in AL patients is higher than that in healthy people, and the expression level of LNK gene positively correlates with the risk of patients.

Objective: To explore the mutation and single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) of LNK gene in the patients with essential thrombocytosis (ET), and to analyze the relationship between LNK gene variation and the occurrence of ET., Methods: JAK2V617F mutation was identified by allele-specific PCR. The whole exon of LNK gene was amplified by PCR. The amplified sequences included the Rs3184504 (C/T) and Rs78894077 (A/C/G/T) affecting the expression of amino acids in LNK gene, and the Rs7973120 (A/T) unaffecting the expression of amino acids. The mutation and SNP of LNK gene were analyzed by DNA sequencing., Results: Six cases of ET had LNK mutation, including four types: A300V, R425C, V402L and R426Q. T allele distribution of SNP Rs78894077 Ser in ET group was statistically significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). T allele frequency of SNP Rs3184504 Ser in ET group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05)., Conclusion: LNK mutations exist in ET patients, and the T allele gene carrying LNK SNP Rs78894077 Ser and Rs3184504 Ser in persons may increase the risk of ET.

Objective: To compare the mutation and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of LNK gene between chronic myeloid leukemia(CML) and control groups, and to explore the relationship between LNK gene variation and the occurrence of CML., Methods: A total of 36 patients with CML were selected, 46 healthy persons were used as normal controls. DNA was extracted from bone marrow and peripheral blood, BCR/ABL1 fusion gene was detected by Q-PCR. The whole exon of LNK gene was amplified by PCR. The amplified sequences included the Rs3184504 (C/T) and Rs78894077 (A/C/G/T) affecting the expression of amino acids in LNK gene, and the Rs7973120 (A/T) unaffecting the expression of the amino acids. The mutations and SNP of LNK gene were analyzed by DNA sequencing., Results: Thirty-six cases of CML had BCR/ABL1 mutation, while no mutation was found in the control group. One case of CML had LNK heterozygous mutation (A300V), and the mutation rate was 2.8%, no mutation was seen in normal control group. Rs3184504: C/T allele frequency was 50%/50% in the control group, 94.4%/5.6% in the CML group, and the C allele in CML group was significantly higher than that in the control group; CC genotype accounted for 94.4% (P<0.01). Rs78894077: C/T allele in the control group was 9.8%/90.2%, in CML group was 16.7%/83.3%, the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05); but CC genotype in CML group was very statistically significant higher than that in control group(P<0.01). Rs7973120: A/T allele frequency was 10.9%/89.1% in the control group, 25%/75% in the CML group, the LNK A allele in CML group was very significantly higher than that in control group (P<0.01)., Conclusion: CML patients have been confirmed to have LNK mutation; the SNPs of LNK are related with the development of CML, and the most CML patients carry the LNK Rs3184504 C allele and the Rs7973120 A allele.

In order to study the effect elements of anthers opening-closing movement of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis, and its cell morphology regulatory mechanism. Anthers daily opening in the morning and closing in the evening and its corresponding ecological elements changes were recorded. Different light, temperature, humidity experiment and artificial rainfall experiment were designed to observe the effect on anthers opening-closing movement, paraffin sections were made to observe the cell morphology change when the anthers daily opening and closing. The result showed that the movement of anthers daily opening and closing was regulated by ecological elements. The overall trend was high temperature and strong light, low humidity was favorable for anther opening, and low temperature, weak light, high humidity was favorable for anther closing. In this experiment, the effect of these ecological elements on the movement of anthers opening from strong to weak was humidity, temperature, light. The effect of these ecological elements on the movement of anthers closing from strong to weak was light, humidity, temperature. The direct contact of the raindrops causes the rapid closing of the anthers in the rain. Observing the cell morphology change when anthers opening and closing, it was a pollen sac dehydration and water-absorption process, different light, temperature and humidity conditions induce different physiological activities in the cell, which caused the cell osmotic pressure change, eventually resulting in anther opening and closing movement. Objective: To determine the effect of doxorubicin (DOX) on abcb4 gene expression and the role of abcb4 gene in multidrug-resistance., Methods: Zebrafish embryos were treated with 2 mL/L DMSO, 10 μmol/L DOX and 2 mL/L DMSO+10 μmol/L DOX, respectively. The zebrafish embryos treated with Eggwater served as controls. Exposures started at 4 to 16 cell stage of the embryos and terminated 120 hours post fertilization (hpf). The expression of abcb4 gene in zebrafish embryos was examined on 48, 72, 96, and 120 hpf with whole-mount in situ hybridization (WISH) and quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR)., Results: Compared with the controls, DOX-exposed embryos had higher level of abcb4 gene expression (P < 0.05), but not for abcb5 gene. WISH showed that abcb4 gene was expressed in the guts of zebrafish embryos. However, those exposed to DOX also showed strong WISH signals in the brain and heart., Conclusion: Doxorubicin increases the expression of abcb4 gene in zebrafish embryos. abcb4 gene may play an imoortant role in multidrug-resistance.

Objective: To report a new pest of Amomum villosum and its distribution, occurrence regularity and damage situation, in order to provide reference for its control., Methods: Reared the pest larvae, observed the morphological characters, and made a preliminary investigation on its distribution, occurrence regularity and damage situation., Results: Through macroscopic examination, the pest was identified as Anisodera rugulosa, which distributed in the main producing areas of Amomum villosum in Xishuangbanna, the pest larvae ate the inside of Amomum villosum fruit, which made the fruit formed holes, more seriously, it made the whole fruit rot black., Conclusion: The pest causes the fruit yield reduction of Amomum villosum. Pest control work needs to be carry out as soon as possible.

Objective: To investigate the phenotypic trait variation range of Clerodendranthus spicatus, and to look for phenotypic traits closely related with its yield and quality, in order to provide reference for its breeding., Methods: Randomly labelled plants of Clerodendranthus spicatus, observed its phenotypic traits and analyzed by variation, principal component, correlation and path analysis., Results: 13 phenotypic traits in the 15 germplasms of Clerodendranthus spicatus had great variations, the variations mainly distributed in yield, growth and genetic characteristics. Correlation and path analysis showed that, the plant dry weight had an extremely significantly positive correlation with fresh weight, and a positive correlation with stem height, stem diameter and root diameter. Plant fresh weight had a majorly direct contribution to the plant dry weight, stem height, stem diameter and root diameter also had a direct contribution to the plant dry weight. The other characters, including root length, branches, the number of leaf nodes, leaf number, leaf length, leaf width, fresh weight/dry weight ratio, rosmarinic acid content and ursolic acid content all had a negatively direct contribution to the plant dry weight. Rosmarinic acid content had a positive correlation with fresh weight, and a significantly positive correlation with fresh weight/dry weight ratio. Fresh weight had a majorly direct contribution to the rosmarinic acid content, stem height and stem diameter also had a direct contribution to the plant rosmarinic acid content. The other characters, including root length, root diameter, branches, the number of leaf nodes, leaf length, leaf width, dry weight, fresh weight/dry weight ratio, and ursolic acid content all had a negatively direct contribution to the rosmarinic acid content., Conclusion: The phenotypic traits of Clerodendranthus spicatus had rich variations on yield, growth and genetic characteristics. When choosing good germplasm, plant fresh weight, stem height, stem diameter and plant fresh weight/dry weight ratio having promoting effects on the plant dry weight and rosmarinic acid content should be considered comprehensively, and plant with vigorous growth, tall stem and more leaves can be choosed firstly.

Objective: To investigate the phenotypic trait variation range of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis, and to look for phenotypic traits closely related with yield, in order to provide reference for its breeding in the future., Methods: Wild plants of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis populations cultivated for three years in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province were chosen. The plants of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis were randomly labelled, its phenotypic traits were observed and analyzed by variation, principal component, correlation, variance and path analysis., Results: Eleven phenotypic traits variation of the populations of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis were great, mainly distributed in yield, growth and genetic characteristics. Phenotypic trait of different growth years (4 - 10 years) including stem height, stem diameter, flower stem height, flower stem diameter, leaf number, leaf length and leaf width had no significant difference(P > 0. 05). The underground phenotypic traits including root weight, root length and root diameter increased significant (P <0. 05) with plant growth years. Effect of the other phenotypic traits on root weight was as follows: root diameter (0. 2550) > root growth years (0. 1183 ) > root length(0. 0202) > stem diameter(0. 0081) > stem height (0. 0044) > leaf number (0. 0025) > leaf length (0. 0018) > leaf width (0. 0004) > flower stem height (0. 0003) > flower stem diameter (0. 0001)., Conclusion: The phenotypic traits on yield, growth and genetic characteristics have rich variations, and the phenotypic traits on the ground have no relationship with plant growth years, the plant growth years mainly affect the underground phenotypic traits. When choosing different root types, root diameter can be used as the preferred character, stem diameter as the second preferred traits when the root traits information not be easily obtained.

Objective: To investigate the expression of dual oxidase 2 (DUOX2) in psoriasis vulgaris lesions, atopic dermatitis (AD) lesions and normal skin and its role in cutaneous anti-inflammation., Methods: Tissue samples were harvested from psoriasis lesion area, psoriasis non-lesion area, AD lesion area and AD non-lesion area, as well as normal skin, the expression level of DUOX2 protein was detected by immunohistochemical staining. The mRNA level of DUOX2 was detected by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis., Results: The expression of DUOX2 protein was observed in all groups which mainly located in basal layer, spinous layer and dermal papilla layer. Compared with the psoriasis non-lesion group and normal skin group, the expression level of DUOX2 protein in psoriasis lesion group was significant higher (P<0. 01). The expression of DUOX2 protein in AD lesion group was stronger than that in AD non-lesion group and normal skin group (P<0. 01). In addition, the expression level of DUOX2 protein in AD lesion group was significant higher than that in psoriasis lesion group (P<0. 01). RT-PCR test revealed DUOX2 mRNA was expressed positively in psoriasis and AD lesions., Conclusion: The strong expression of DUOX2 in psoriasis vulgaris lesion and AD lesion suggested that DUOX2 may play an important role in the mechanisms of cutaneous anti-inflammation.

Objective: To investigate the feasibility for judging the postoperative lymph node metastasis of esophagus cancer patients with pN0 stage by detecting the protein expression of metastasis-associated protein 1 (MTA1)., Methods: Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of MTA1 protein in lymph node of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) with pN0 stage., Results: (1) There were no significant differences in age, gender and differentiation among the lymph node metastasis (P > 0.05), but not with pT stage (P < 0.05; χ(2) = 13.29). (2) There were no significant differences among the expression of MTA1 protein and age, gender and differentiation (P > 0.05), but not with differentiation and pT stage (P < 0.05; χ(2) = 18.61). Both stages pT1b and pT3 had higher expression of MTA1 protein than stage pT1a (P < 0.05; χ(2) = 25.54). (3) The curve of lymph node metastasis showed that the patients with no/lower MTA1 protein expression had a lower metastasis rate than those a higher MTA1 protein expression (P < 0.05; χ(2) = 16.63). (4) The results of multivariate analysis confirmed that T status and MTA1 protein over-expression were independent risk factors for pN0 stage ESCC., Conclusion: Detecting MTA1 protein expression is helpful for judging the lymph node metastasis of ESCC patients with pN0 stage. And its over-expression may used as a guide in the decision-making of postoperative adjuvant therapy.

This study is to establish an artificial neural network (ANN) for predicting blood tacrolimus concentration in liver transplantation recipients. Tacrolimus concentration samples (176 samples) from 37 Chinese liver transplantation recipients were collected. ANN established after network parameters were optimized by using momentum method combined with genetic algorithm. Furthermore, the performance of ANN was compared with that of multiple linear regression (MLR). When using accumulated dose of 4 days before therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) of tacrolimus concentration as input factor, mean prediction error and mean absolute prediction error of ANN were 0.02 +/- 2.40 ng x mL(-1) and 1.93 +/- 1.37 ng x mL(-1), respectively. The absolute prediction error of 84.6% of testing data sets was less than 3.0 ng x mL(-1). Accuracy and precision of ANN are superior to those of MLR. The correlation, accuracy and precision of ANN are good enough to predict blood tacrolimus concentration.

Objective: To study the bactericidal activity of keratinocytes to Staphylococcus aureus in the presence of TNF-alpha, IFN-gamma and their combination., Methods: The keratinocytes were co-cultured with Staphylococcus aureus to establish the Staphylococcus invasion model of skill cell, then the differenct concentrations of TNF-alpha, IFN-gamma and their combinationt were added into the culture. 24 h later the number of intracellular viable bacteria was counted, while the same amount of sterilized PBS was used as control., Results: Compared with the control group, each the number of intracellular viable bacteria did not change significantly under the condition of 20 ng/mL of either TNF-alpha or IFN-gamma (P > 0.05), as well as 40 ng/mL of TNF-alpha (P < 0.05). However, it was reduced significantly after the addtion of 40 ng/mL of IFN-gamma (P < 0.05), while was also decreased by the combination of TNF-alpha and IFN-gamma, of which effect was less than that achieved by IFN-gamma alone (P > 0.05)., Conclusion: IFN-gamma, not TNF-alpha, can enhance the bactericidal function of keratinocytes, and the bactericidal effect, is weaker when treatment is combing IFN-gamma with TNF-alpha.

Objective: To study the sub-health status in college students in relation to health-related risk behaviors., Methods: Using convenient sampling method, 6176 college students (3285 male and 2891 female students) were surveyed with questionnaires for general demographical data, sub-health state and health-risk behaviors., Results: The reported rate of sub-health state was 10.2%. The reported rate of physical sub-health was 11.7%, and the rate was 21.7%, 13.9% and 15.0% for inadequate physical activities, poor physical function and poor immunity, respectively. The reported rate of psychological sub-health was 10.5%, with a rate of 14.7%, 22.6% and 7.3% for emotional problems, behavioral problems and social adaptation difficulties, respectively. The risk factors for college students included insufficient sleeping, inadequate sport activities, missing breakfast, partial dietary, smoking and drinking (P<0.05)., Conclusion: The reported rate of sub-health is rather high. Early intervention for health-related risk behaviors should be conducted to prevent the incidence of sub-health among college students.

Objective: To observe the effects of (-)doxazosin(DOX), (+)DOX and (+/-)DOX on serum lipid levels and the mortality rates of the rabbits fed by an atherogenic diet., Methods: Male white New Zealand rabbits were fed by an atherogenic diet for 4 weeks. 8 rabbits whose serum TC <10 mmol/L were confirmed as normal diet group and were fed normally. 40 rabbits whose serum TC >10 mmol/L were randomly divided into 4 groups (n=10): atherogenic diet group, atherogenic diet with (-)DOX group, atherogenic diet with (+)DOX group and atherogenic diet with (+/-)DOX group, which were intraperitoneally injected with (-)DOX, (+)DOX and (+/-)DOX for 9 weeks respectively. Normal and atherogenic diet group were intraperitoneally injected with double distilled water. After 9 weeks administration of (+/-)doxazosin and its enantiomers, effects of the three agents on serum levels of total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were observed., Results: The mortality rate of the rabbits fed by an atherogenic diet for 13 weeks was 40%, and it was much higher than that of the rabbits fed by a normal diet (10%). The mortality rates in the rabbits treated with (-)DOX and (+/-)DOX were lower than that in the rabbits fed by a normal diet (10%). Serum LDL-C level of the rabbits was increased markedly after 4 weeks of atherogenic diet, and it was further increased significantly (P < 0.05 and P < 0.01) during the continued 9 weeks of atherogenic diet. However, serum LDL-C levels were not further increased significantly (P > 0.05) during the continued 9 weeks of atherogenic diet in the rabbits treated with (-)DOX, (+)DOX and (+/-)DOX, respectively., Conclusion: (-)DOX and (+/-)DOX increase the survival rate and improve LDL-C disorder mildly in the rabbits fed by an atherogenic diet. The improvements in LDL-C induced by (-)DOX and (+/-)DOX, however, might not be the reason for exploration about the increased survival rate in the rabbits fed by an atherogenic diet.

Nitrification is a key step in the global nitrogen cycle. Classically, nitrifying bacteria are chemoautotroph. Recently, bacteria that have the ability of heterotrophic nitrification have been intensively studied as potential microorganisms that may be used to overcomeproblems inherent in the conventional method. This review gives a broad overview of the current status of heterotrophic nitrification including the heterotrophic species which nitrify actively, optimal condition for nitrification, heterotrophic nitrification pathway, enzymatic system and isolation methods. Also, the promising prospects of heterotrophic nitrification are especially introduced.

Objective: To analyze the numerical aberration of chromosome X, Y and 18 in the spermatozoa of asthenospermia patients by triple-color fluorescence in situ hybridization., Methods: The experiment included 10 asthenospermia patients and 5 healthy men with normal semen quality as controls. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and probes for chromosomes including X, Y and 18 were used to determine the frequency of the aneuploid of the chromosomes in spermatozoa., Results: Of the 45,547 spermatozoa counted from the semen samples, the hybridization rate was 99.18%. The frequencies of the chromosome disomies including XX18, XY18, YY18, X1818 and Y1818 were (0.124 +/- -0.086)%, (0.360 +/- 0.380)%, (0.109 +/- 0.195)%, (0.342 +/- 0.746)% and (0.299 +/- 0.564)% in the case group and (0.014 +/- 0.019)%, (0.090 +/- 0.080)%, (0.030 +/- 0.031)%, (0.068 +/- 0.103)% and (0.075 +/- 0.083)% in the control. The sperm aneuploid rate was 9.25% in the former and 2.70% in the latter, with significant difference in between (P< 0.01)., Conclusion: Asthenospermia patients have a higher aneuploid rate of sperm chromosome than normal fertile men. However, larger samples are yet to be studied to obtain more scientific evidence.

Ab initio method was used to optimize the molecular geometry for a series of clusters (mu-L1) (mu-L2)- decacarbonyltri-osmium [L1, L2 = H, Cl, Br, I] at HF/CEP-4G level. The related chemical properties of clusters, in particular, the regularities of the bridge halogen effects on spectroscopic properties and bonding properties were discussed. The calculation results of the frontier molecular orbital showed that M-M bonds were mainly composed of s and d atomic orbitals. From Cl to I, with the atom number of bridge ligand increasing, HOMO and NHOMO orbitals on the Os3(CO)10 (mu-L)2 clusters and HOMO on the Os3 (CO)10 (mu-H) (mu-L) clusters become higher, while deltaepsilonL-H and deltaepsilon-NH energies become lower, so the authors predicted that the electronic absorption bands of clusters are shifted to infrared region. Excited states of clusters calculated with TDHF show that the transition of cluster Os3(CO)10 (mu-H)2 (I) is mainly 7 --> sigma* and sigma --> sigma*, while the electronic absorption of other clusters Os3 (CO)10 (mu-H) (mu-L) [L = Cl, Br, I] and Os3(CO)10 (mu-L)2 [-L = Cl, Br] is mainly from sigma --> sigma* transition. From Cl to I, with the atom number of bridge ligand increasing, the electronic absorption band of cluster is shifted to infrared region, and also the absorption becomes weaker.

A bacteroidal disease of honeybee (Apis mellifera ) larvae was found in some regions of Zhejiang Province, China , in early spring 2005. The diseased larvae lost its shine, became yellow and rotted when serious. This symptom was different to any bacteroidal disease of honeybee larval been reported. So, it is considered to be a new bacteroidal disease of honeybee larval. Five pure cultures of bacteria were separated from ten collections of diseased honeybee larvae, named as L1, L2, L3, IA and L5. Among these five pure cultures, only L2 could make the healthy honeybee larvae become diseased in both field and lab test. The symptom caused by L2 was similar to the natural-infection. From the diseased larvae caused by L2 could isolate bacteria the same as L2. Thus 12 was determined as the causing agent of this bacteroidal disease of honeybee larval. L2 was identified according to the characteristics of morphology, physiological biochemical characteristics and 16S rRNA gene sequence. As a result, the morphology and physiological biochemical characteristics of L2 were similar to E. faecium. And its 16S rRNA sequences highly matched to E. faecium, the similarities between them were higher than 99%. The overall similarity values between L2 and the published 16S rRNA sequences of 41 typical species of Enterococcus were 93.9% - 99.5% , the top value was between 12 and E. faecium. In the phylogenetic tree, L2 and E. faecium were assembled in the same ramification. So 12 was identified as E. faecium. Although Enterococcus faecium was known as pathogen to many post, account for 12% of all nosocomial infections, only second to E. coli, but there is no report about this bacteria infects honeybee up to now. So it is a new pathogen to honeybee. The isolation and identification of pathogen of this new bacteroidal larvae disease, afford a good feasibility for available prevention and cure to this new disease.

Density functional theory (DFT) and ab initio method have been employed to optimize the molecular geometry of (1,2-micro2-H) (1, 2-micro2-L) Os3 (CO)10 (L: Cl, Br, I) at B3LYP/CEP-4G, B3LYP/LanL2DZ, RHF/CEP-4G and RHF/LanL2DZ levels, respectively. By using ab initio method, the authors have optimized the molecular geometry of (1,2-t12 -L)2 Os3 (CO)20 (L: H, Cl, Br, I). The calculations showed that the charge was translated from Os(CO)3 to Os(CO)4. Harmonic vibrational analysis was performed at the RHF/CEP-4G levels, and according to the frequencies and intensities of the equilibrium structure obtained by using ab initio method, the IR spectra of structure have been simulated. The calculated results were compared with each other and with available experimental data, and were discussed in detail.

Objective: To observe therapeutic effects of different therapeutic methods for treatment of peripheral facial paralysis at different stages., Methods: In the treatment group, 26 cases at acute stage were treated by acupuncture at corresponding acupoints at the healthy side, 15 cases at resting stage by acupuncture at the affected side with shallow needling method, and 2 cases at restoration stage by routine acupuncture and moxibustion, and their therapeutic effects were compared with the control group of 36 cases who were treated by routine acupuncture and moxibustion. The acupoints selected in the two groups were same., Results: The cured-markedly effective rate was 97.7% in the treatment group and 75.0% in the control group with a very significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.01). The treatment group needed 2.7 therapeutic courses and the control group needed 4.0 courses in average with a very significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.01)., Conclusion: Different acupuncture methods at different stages are better than routine acupuncture method in treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.
